Stopped by for the first time today and will definitely be back! We came near closing time but the employees were incredibly kind to let us still come in to explore. We spent some time with the dogs available for foster / adoptions and fell in love with every single one! I love that they have a meeting area to spend some time loving on the animals. They have a wonderful supply of dog and cat items and at amazing prices and quality! We got a new collar for our dog, $5. I definitely encourage others to stop by and shop but also spend some time the available animals - you won't regret it! They also mentioned they are in need fosters! Came here for the first time today! The only customers in the store, was walking around for a while until this tall man with a gray pony tail came up. He asked us what we were looking for, we wanted to see what cats they had for adoption! He immediately turned us down and said we couldn't adopt! Very rude and off-putting!! My first visit was very uncomfortable and so many hostile and rude employees. My first interaction was seeing the dogs because I myself have a special needs dog that I took time to train and care for. The male at the dog area asked me nicely at first if I had any kids and I said yes a 4 and 5 but was going to explain they're my niece and nephew that visit and I got interrupted and rudely said they don't adopt to children.. which is very weird to me because there was many children in the shop grabbing and holding cats and dogs. That made me uncomfortable so I then went to the cats. Once I arrive to the cats area, I fell in love with a kitten that I took a picture of and sent to my finance and the foster parent was so lovely until an employee approached me and we had a conversation and kept telling me they need room and I explained I have enough room for a cat and they kept telling me they need another cat, need to be indoors and was insisting for the kitten to have another cat but the paper form didn't say that and I felt like because of how I looked, she assumed I wasn't able to afford room or anything for the kitten but didn't question, once again, the children that came in grabbing and playing with the kittens. In the conversation, she got very hostile and rude when I explained the breed of my special needs dog is a husky but he never had an aggression towards my fiancé cat or my other dogs. That made me very weird out and uncomfortable because many other rescues never mentioned that. My first visit was a very uncomfortable and unpleasant. I have worked for the county for many years and never came across an adopting agency this rude and unprofessional in my life. I would never recommend anyone to come here and just visit your near by SPCA or shelter. read more

We took in Annie, a foster dog found injured on the street. She was recovering from leg surgery. Rick provided every thing she needed, food, meds, bed and gates to keep her from using stairs. He even came by to give her a vaccination. Annie is a sweet dog, it was great to have her around. read more

Be prepared to have your heart broken by the owner, Rick Hollander. TL;DR We were truthful and honest with our application and conversations for adopting a dog (Apollo). The application was approved by Rick Hollander, the Director of the shelter. We had a sleepover AFTER a home inspection. Relocated Apollo in our living room after the 2nd night. Rick messages me after 5 days that he it isn't okay to keep Apollo in the "shed" and it doesn't matter that we moved Apollo indoors. Unreasonably refuses to work with us. Came to our home, verbally abused my wife and sister-in-law, and left our family in tears as he took our family member away. We met the team from the Shelter at a Pet Fair and absolutely fell in love with one of the dogs. We had a good conversation with one of the members, describing our situation and expectations for our new fur baby. We have a nice fenced backyard for the dog and want to provide him a good home with love and care. We asked if the dog is okay to be left alone for a few hours while I come back from work (so the dog is meant to be alone for 4 hours total on 2-3 days a week). When the dog is alone, he would be in the backyard, free to lounge or sunbath as he wishes. At night we talked about having him crated for the first couple of weeks, in a room outside in the yard, right next to our bedroom (photo attached). The room is quite large (12ft x 15ft), tiled floors, has a window for light and ventilation, very clean. We were clear and up front about this with the team from the get go. We were always genuine in our conversations, in our application, in our behavior and in our intentions. I will come back to this. We had a sleepover with the dog (let's call him Apollo) after getting our application approved by Rick Hollander. He later claimed he didn't know about the room (or "shed") and that we would have the dog outside. By the way, Apollo is a large, outdoor breed dog about 1.5 years old. We had a home inspection by one of the members as well (the foster mum of the dog) and no one until this point had any issues. Everything was fine. After the first couple of days of Apollo sleeping in the room outside, we realized this wasn't working and we decided to move his crate in our living room where we made space for him. Apollo and we were happier with this arrangement. Rick sent me a message 5 days after the sleepover began, saying that he heard we were "crating the dog in a shed in the backyard" and how this isn't okay with them and he wouldn't have approved the application. He had waited this long to contact me to talk to me about this, when it could have been prevented when we first had the conversation to adopt Apollo. Rick's expectation was the large outdoor breed should be inside, and someone with him 24/7. This was never mentioned before. I told him that we did have him in the "shed" outside, but we don't anymore and he is with us in the house. We hadn't hidden this fact from the first time we showed intention to adopt, but Rick doesn't believe in second chances and it was too late by this time. Rick was adamant that he wanted someone who had "experience working with the breed". I personally have had a number of large dog pets, including this breed as well. I intended to arrange classes and training with Apollo for this, and to socialise with him as well. Rick saw this as not having "experience with the breed". I requested Rick to meet us and see our home. Rick's response was simply "I am not interested in seeing your home". I pleaded with him, what would it take to make things work. However, he was stubborn and made up his mind with a pre-conceived idea that we were inhumane and cruel people and cannot be trusted. He saw our actions as 'trying to show the dog who's alpha', or showing the dog who is in charge. There was never any intention of showing Apollo who is alpha or who is in charge - we are not primitive or savages. I told Rick multiple times that if he had said to us before the sleepover even began, having Apollo sleep outside in the "shed" will not work, Apollo would never slept in the "shed". Straight and simple. Note, Rick has not seen our home yet, how we interact with Apollo, or how Apollo interacts with us, or how Apollo is living with us or anything. We all had a set schedule to take him for his walk, 2-3 times a day. I took him running with me as well. We introduced him to our friends and family. Apollo had become a part of our family by this point. Rick came to our home on the 6th day of the sleepover, he was rude and arrogant, showed no sympathy or empathy to us or Apollo. He was VERBALLY ABUSIVE to my wife and sister-in-law, EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL in his conversations, attitude and behavior. My wife was in tears and Rick only smirked and laughed thinking it's a joke taking a family member away. We definitely DO NOT recommend this shelter to our friends, family or anyone else. This place was not only rude to my friend who was looking to adopt a puppy but escalated the situation by posting on social media to shit talk about her. Long story short: my friend is pregnant and looking to adopt a dog. They've been wanting another dog for a while and have been looking well before she was even pregnant. She found a dog she like at this shelter and inquired about it via text message. She asked very politely about the dog and of course FOR THE SAFETY OF HER CHILD wanted more information about the dog because when she first visited the shelter they said the puppy was "mouthy". She wanted clarity on whether that meant the dog bites or is just a big barker. The people in the shelter did not tell her of they don't allow families with children under 13 to adopt dogs. Instead they responded with extremely rude and condescending messages and questioned my friend's parenting. Here are some things they said: -In a condescending tone asked if "this is a joke" -Her having a baby is an attempt at finding some LOOPHOLE to adopt a dog and get away with the no children policy -Told her mother-in-law "I hope you're a better grandmother to the baby" On top of it all, they posted about my friend on their Facebook Page and continued to talk shit about her. I feel sorry for the animals at your shelter because I can't even fathom how you treat them if this is how you talk to human beings on a daily basis. read more

Wow, what a great concept! Because we are nearing the holidays, I decided to take a break from my hectic schedule to check out petfinder.com. I saw a super cute dog that reminded me of my grandfather's dog when I was a child. It brought me to this rescue. How unique is this? After going through the profiles of dogs I see this team surely takes in the precious dogs that have been neglected and are in need of loving kindness that the usual dog adopters don't want (bc we are all gravitating toward the rescue gem that is well behaved and has no baggage or takes less effort and time than we thought, right?). My story from another rescue: Several years ago, I adopted a young dog who was perfect in every way to me except a month into it I found he had behavioral issues bc he was abused as a pup. I cried and grappled and gave him back. For about a year I lived in regret and missed him terribly. I made the decision to adopt again. Similar story. But this time I told myself it was commitment and my family. Now, after a lot of worthwhile work, we have a rhythm and flow and I can't imagine my life without my guy. Not sure why I'm telling the story but what this rescue is doing struck a cord with me. It is tireless work and unique. They want these dogs. I like how selective and concerned they are for the homes these dogs go into. When I move into a larger home w a backyard my Chase and I will look forward to finding another family member from here! An amazing rescue that helps dogs, other rescues won't. They take the hard cases and are willing to work with the dogs. They also take dogs who are sick and finds foster homes or fospice homes. I was one of those homes. I took care of Gladys, an amazing dog who had cancer and was a senior. The help and support I received from Nobodys perfekt dogs and Rick, was beyond terrific. Not too long after Gladys passed I helped foster another dog, Maggie and received the same support until I could not foster her anymore. This place is a great organization that helps dogs with "imperfections" to be loved and adopted by families who are willing to take in a dog that may need medical needs and are willing to give that dog all the love and attention she or he may need. Some of these dogs are older, blind, and/or come with a not so pleasant background. The awesome dogs need to be cared for in a home that does not have any children under the age of 13 and some dogs need to be adopted by a home that already has a dog. Some of these furry friends need to be adopted in pairs. Some of the dogs don't like cats, some of them are shy and others need training. This location does not allow outside dogs. I'm so proud of my daughter for choosing this location to volunteer and provide love and affection to a furry friend at least for a little while. Nayyyyyy!! I got attached with one pup! He's 2 and still in foster home. I was sooooo ready to adopt him, got all my papers ready. At the end, (probably owner/manager) said, we need to have a dog in order to adopt one from theirs. ‍ I meaaaan, their main concern should be, who's adopting or maybe financial stability rather than how many kids or dog we have!! My only concerns are fur babies, they're missing out loving families just because of their owner's unnecessary tantrums. Staff is very rude and unprofessional especially the owner. The rule they have about not letting young teens under the age of 13 into the dog area or not letting a family adopt if they have a child under the age of 13 is a pointless policy like literally what makes a difference between a young teen who is 13 years or older and a teen who is 13 years or younger being able to go in just cause a year in age difference ‍. Also they stated that they won't let teens of that age go into the playing area where the dogs are roaming free because they have behavior issues and because they are special need dogs stating "don't know how they would react to young teens" as if the dogs can tell the difference between peoples ages. If they have behavior issues like they say they shouldn't be letting no one inside the play area with the dogs period and they should resort to something else then putting them up for adoption. Also keep in mind the dogs they have in the dog area are small no bigger then a full grown corgi they talk about the dogs as if they were the most vicious dogs in the planet all the dogs were all running around and jumping on people and playing. I called their policies dumb and I guess that set everyone off lol saying it's not dumb cause dogs have behavior issues or they're are special needs dogs like I said regular people aren't trained to take care of special needs dogs they should be put with trained professionals instead of trying to put them up for adoption with people as the owner stated a bunch of people who are immature.Then one of the employees or volunteers over heard my conversation with the owner and jumped in and said " how about I put you in a cage with a with some wild animal and see what happens" which makes no sense because the animal he said lives in the wild of course it's going to react different it's a wild animal not a dog like that's how you know they don't even know what they are saying or just want to implement their stupid policies and rules which make no sense. This is the most incredible dog rescue. We adopted a bonded pair of little dogs from here. This rescue goes above and beyond to love and care for their rescued dogs, provide medical care and find good homes for them. Their adoption facility in a mall is unparalled. It provides a place for folks to interact with the dogs, and get a "dog experience" even if they aren't adopting. I saw a sign outside saying adoption center with a cute little dog on it while walking with my 2 school aged boys. We thought it would be fun to go visit some cute little dogs. We walk into Nobody's Dogs Perfekt and literally get 2 steps inside when the owner whips his head around and loudly says - "No! NO KIDS!" I'm totally taken aback with his abrupt behavior and somewhat confused, I say; "Oh, They can't even just look at them?" To which he replies, "No, they can't." He then says "Oh the signs not out". And turns around a sign that says NO CHILDREN. So then I say "Can I ask why no kids are allowed?" Trying to gain a better understanding. He says "We just don't want kids in here" as he's trying to usher us out as quickly as possible. Honestly, one of THE rudest experiences I've ever encountered. After reading a few other reviews I see that a lot of the dogs have not had good experiences with small children, which is perfectly understandable and had he just explained that in a good manner I would have totally got it. But his approach and rude attitude was just completely unprofessional and left me wondering how he still even has a business to run. read more
