I ordered $113.31worth of food to be delivered to my home. When the food arrived it was cold and there were 4 missing items. When I called the restaurant to ask them to send the missing items, they were rude and extremely unprofessional. I called again to speak with someone else and they refused to let me speak to the manager. The person who answered the telephone told me; "Food gets cold. It happens. What do you think we can do about that?!". He also told me I would have to go to the restaurant to retrieve the missing items. He was short with me and extremely disrespectful. This kind of behavior is despicable and unacceptable. I will tell all of my friends and family members not to patronize this establishment. read more

Went there last night for an early Valentine's Day dinner with my husband. We were extremely disappointed with the food. Nothing was seasoned...not even with salt. The beans just tasted like they were boiled with only water. The carne molido tasted like cooked the ground beef. No seasoning at all. And it wasn't cheap. We are not people that will send food back but we will never return. Service was ok. They initially sat us under a speaker. We asked to be moved because we couldn't hear the waitress nor each other. Waitress came by but only spoke to us in Spanish. They have a cash and a card price for each item. We were automatically charged the card price...which is higher. I stumbled upon this restaurant with a friend, and it turned out to be a great find! The place was spacious with a lively, energetic atmosphere. I ordered the pechuga a la plancha--grilled chicken served with rice and tostones--which was absolutely delicious and tasted authentic. I paired it with a glass of prosecco, which was perfect. I've passed by this place countless times whenever I'm at Bay Plaza Mall. I don't usually gravitate toward mall-area dining, but I was finally enticed to try it after hearing good things about their other locations. I decided to sit at the bar since, in my experience, service is usually better there but this time, that wasn't the case. I understand that staff may need time to set up, but repeatedly walking past someone who is clearly trying to make eye contact is simply rude. It seemed like they had plenty of staff, but responsibilities weren't distributed effectively. The bartender was juggling far too much: handling bar guests, multiple tables, making drinks, pouring water, and running food from the kitchen, all while the floor staff appeared bored and slow-moving. Because of that imbalance, the bar was largely neglected. I genuinely felt bad asking for anything, but a drink refill or even a brief check in would have been appreciated. I noticed another nearby table experiencing the same issue, and we bonded over it. Thankfully, we were both seasoned diners and didn't make a scene. Poor service is frustrating, but it's never an excuse to be unkind. I don't blame the bartender at all, this is clearly a management issue. Better training and clearly defined roles would go a long way in improving the service flow. Despite the service hiccup, I'm still giving them four stars because I believe this is a small, fixable issue with better management. The snacks we tried were good. The beef and chicken empanadas were hot and flavorful. The pork was a bit dry, but that's somewhat expected with chicharrón and nothing a little sauce can't fix. The margaritas were also really nice and expertly made. Overall, there's a solid foundation here. With improved service organization, this could easily be a great experience. read more

This place is located within the bay plaza mall the to go entrance is in the mall but if you're looking to dine in it's on the exterior part of the mall. The service here is super fast and the women here were very sweet. If you want to purchase a popsicle that's located right by the door you'll have to wait till the end of your purchase since it's locked that was a little challenging for me Since I love to grab and ask what flavors are what etc. I purchased their mini app tray which was delicious. Pan de bono of course cannolis and coconut lemonade. The lemonade was way too sweet for my taste buds. I went to the food court to get a coffee and was told I had to go downstairs because they weren't open until 1130 (but when I came back up, he was ringing up a customer and it wasn't 1130 yet )so I went downstairs. Got my coffee and a pastry came back up sat down and I happened to spill my coffee by mistake all over the table. So I went back downstairs to see if the lady would replace just the small coffee. I didn't need the pastry. She said it's not their policy to do that. Very disappointing and embarrassing. I felt dumb and humiliated in front of all those people that were down there getting their stuff.. so I would not recommend them to anyone at this point. read more

This restaurant is in Bay Plaza mall. The menu was digital and a bit extensive to get everything. We ordered the Bandeja Paisa after being told that the Pan debono (cheese bread) was sold out for the day. We skipped appetizers because it's such a huge plate. Service was nice and efficient. We ordered waters, soda and lemonade as drinks. We received our plate hot and fresh. We ate roughly half the plates and took the rest to go. When chicharron, steak, chorizo, eggs, maduros, rice, avacado and beans are on your plate that's typically all you really need. Everything wasn't necessarily seasoned but it was very flavorful. I would come here again to try something else. If I ever got chorizo in whole again I'd ask them to split it and cook it because with chorizo you can just never tell if done or not. read more

Hidden gem in the Bronx for top tier Colombian food. place is at the exterior of the Bay plaza Mall. Service is usually good especially when the female waitresses are on the floor. I was here recently and sat at the bar and I waited literally about 30 minutes before male server came up to me. I ordered bandeja Paisa. and a beef empanada. both took extremely long compared to many other times I've been here. Beans were cold not even lukewarm and the food was close to losing its warmth going into cold. The same order is usually great and fast out the kitchen but for some reason they were off on this day. I got the beans exchanged which was great and also I was stuck with a churrasco that doesn't come with the order that the guy said I order which was an extra 20 I believe. The sound system was not working as the waitress shared and the music was cutting off on off on. ambience is a good feel. the food is great, the service seems a little off as of late counting this last(Monday) and the previous. in addition the menu is pretty expensive, drinks are expensive too. With Price modification and top notch service that they had when they first started it'll probably be a five-star place. Maybe not. With a good manager that knows the town this would be a great place for sports and dining on the other side. Good date place. Or solo bar warm up with drinks. read more

This restaurant has "authentic Columbian cuisine". I'm not sure whether that's accurate or not lol. The service was a bit slow, the waiter didn't come to us for over 20 minutes. However, once we ordered our food was served fairly quickly. The food was very good. I ordered Pechuga Colombiana and a Side Salad. This is a chain restaurant, I went to the one in Nyack a few months ago and the food did not disappoint. I like the one in Nyack better because the design of the restaurant reminds me of tropical paradise. read more

The food here was alright -- not bad, but nothing to write home about. Unfortunately, the service was absolutely terrible. Our server seemed completely uninterested from the start. It took forever just to get drinks, even longer for our food, and when it finally arrived it was barely warm. No one checked on us the entire time we were eating. Then, when we were ready to leave, the bill took forever to come. We sat there waiting and waiting while staff walked past us like we were invisible. It's a shame because the restaurant itself has potential -- nice atmosphere, decent food -- but the lack of basic service really killed the experience.
