Good I didn't know about this little gem near 3rd Ave. I don't really like to go to 3rd Ave, but my pharmacy is at 149th, I didn't know CVS closed at 1:30 pm until 2:00 pm, LOL. I needed to pick up one medicine, but the pharmacy was closed, so I told my husband let's find a restaurant. While we were walking, we found this place. We walked in, we sat down at the bar, and we ordered two drinks. The drinks were excellent, the place is big, lots of tables and it was extremely clean. The way this place went downhill is insane. They decided it would be a good idea to elevate the prices for cinco de mayo, the same food and the same drinks you can get from them on a regular day, just $5-$10 more expensive simply because it was a "holiday"... normally places do happy hours or sales for holidays, this restaurant instead charged more LOL. But if that wasn't enough of an issue, then you'll also be surprised to know they'll add a nice 4% to your bill if you choose to pay with a card (credit or debit) because they prefer cash. This, on top of the fact that you must spend $20 to even be able to use the card in the first place. And if the prices practices and surges still don't have you wanting to run out the door you'll notice the bartenders are SUPER rude. Make you feel like you're bothering them when you need something (we chose to eat at the bar) and when we asked for water, to cutlery for my burrito, he was huffing and puffing bc he wanted to be on the side talking to the servers and gossiping. But the real kicker is that the food isn't even good. So we paid all the extra money, dealt with the bad attitude and the burrito meat was dry, the drinks were mid at best and the price was high, never again! What a waste of time. No wonder this establishment is always lacking in customers, every time we come in it's near empty. I always thought it was because of the time (Sundays afternoon) but I'm starting to think it's because of the terrible vibes, the horrible service, the mid food/drinks and the price jacking. Worst Customer Service!, why do I have to look for the waiter. The waiter was never to be found and the other server was like I'm not your server, mind you we never got utensils to eat, never got water. When it was time to order again the server was never to be found. And on top of that they play Spanish Reggaetón, Not even Mexican Music. Not a place I wanna come and eat when I ask for a steak Medium and I get it well done. When it was time for the check yet the server thought that he deserve 20% as a tip. Came here after running some errands. This place post Covid was probably the spot because inside is so pretty and spacious for dancing. We ordered chicken nachos and a appetizer sampler. The chicken nachos were not super cheesy but they were ok. The sampler was my favorite especially the empanadas. We had two drinks a margarita I had a frozen which I suggest never order because it has no alcohol, the lady was nice enough to give us a shot which was nice. A visitor out of town on a quiet thurs night. Greeted when we arrived drinks came quickly, that us the way it should be. While we eat at the bar, still all good. For starters they eliminated the old plastic folded menus and upgraded to a glossy tri-fold. Now I ordered a Mango Margarita, chicken quesadilla with rice and black beans and it came with warm tortilla chips and fresh salsa. And folks it was nothing short of amazing! Thee best part was the flavorful grilled chicken quesadilla. It was sooooooo good!!!! What makes it taste so delicious? It has to be the green peppers and onions along with the sour cream and cheese. However, i love the chips and salsa.....I barely wanted to eat the entree without eating every last one. Yummers!!!! Now the pico de gallo.....so fresh tossed with shredded iceberg lettuce was thr best I've ever had. Ugh the margarita........not sooooo good. It was too sweet. She poured a little too much syrup. So I was craving tacos and I started to search on UberEats. Came across this place and off course I came here for the reviews. The reviews looked good for the most part and I placed my order. I ordered the steak tacos which does say it comes with 3 tacos and a side of rice and beans and I ordered fried plantains. When my food came it was only three tacos just topped with onions and lime slices on the side no rice no beans and my separate order of fried plantains which they do give you a lot. The plantains has a weird taste and it wasn't even sweet so I threw them away and the tacos were just ok. It wasn't anything spectacular that would make me order again. I've come here two other times before and it's not my favorite of spots BUT it gets the job done if you're hungry. I've tried the shrimp tacos which was alright and today the shrimp burrito. They cook their food on a grill so it definitely has the Smokey taste to it but I think it's a bit much and I normally like my grilled food to have that taste. There was an appetizer of calamari ordered and it didn't have much seasoning it tasted really fried. Came here after looking up Yelp. I am not from the area went to run errand nearby so I wanted to have a nice meal. The food is not at all delicious. I ordered the chiquillaita steak. It was tiny strips of dry meat over soggy tortilla topped with white sauce and great sauce.. rice and beans. No avocado, no egg, the steak is not at all as pictures by owner. I really like this restaurant it has nice authentic Mexican decor ,lots of space and friendly service. I ordered for appetizer the mini empanadas with chorizo and crab meat I got to say it was very tasty although my empanadas was a little overcooked I would love to have them just a little less dark. I also ordered the chicken tacos. The tacos were very good you could taste the seasoning and the herbs, really tasted authentic. Tacos are served with your choice of red or green spicy sauce or you can have it with Maxican Cream ( kinda like sour cream) I gave the five stars because the service was friendly the Decour was nice and the original cook wasn't there. The menu was very easy to read which is surprising. The prices are reasonable and the bathrooms are spectacular (very clean)I mean we all love a clean bathroom don't we? I can't say much about the area but if this restaurant was in Midtown it will do a whole lot better. In closing if you want real Mexican food and you happen to be staying in the south Bronx , I would definitely recommend this place. read more

Excellent lunch today with good buddy. Good lunch special offerings for $9/$10 but opted for the reg menu chick enchiladas for $12 with black beans and rice. Really fresh and tasty with right amounts of pico de gallo, guac and sour cream. My buddy had the steak bowl which he devoured. Food was not rushed and tasted that way. Really liked that the staff Arturo y Luis were on point about cleanliness and intentionally sat us away from others so everyone was spaced out to make sure there were no issues with germs. Bathrooms were spotless and the place exceptionally clean! Had the ritas which were good, but suspect they may have more 'kick' during the evening HH !:') Will definitely be back! read more
