The food was good and the operator was very nice. The outdoor area has a beautiful view of Lake Manassas. The are plenty of tables and several fire pits. There are also several tables on the patio that are covered. They also have a covered stage for live music. Overall, a great way to spend a beautiful day outside. We hope to go back and try the flatbreads and pretzels once the weather is a little warmer.

The property itself is beautiful and very well maintained. There were horses roaming around, which added such a peaceful charm. As we explored, I kept noticing thoughtful and unique touches everywhere--from a stunning wine tree to large decorative clay pots, and even buildings designed to resemble a Greek town that house classic cars. It all made the experience feel extra special. There was a wedding taking place, so part of the property was closed off, but it was easy to see how perfect this venue would be for an intimate "I do." Inside the main building, they offered a great selection of food, an impressive wine list available by the glass, bottle, or flight, and hands down the best wine slush I've ever had. My only critique is that it seemed like the AC wasn't working inside, and I really felt for the bartenders who were working so hard as it got busier throughout the day. Overall, I absolutely loved this place. It's one of the few spots that truly caters to both adults and children, and I'll definitely be back.

We opted for a tasting of both the red and white wines (complimentary!) and sat in a high top table at the tasting area adjacent to the shop. The parts of the winery I did see were beautiful. The house served as a Civil War hospital, then a home and now winery since 2006. I didn't get a chance to view upstairs or out back because I spent my entire time there in the tasting room. I was told upstairs has some parlours with seating for a more private experience. The outside view is beautiful with multiple tables to sit and enjoy wine and live music on the weekends. Mary, a fellow educator, took excellent care of me when I arrived! She was so warm and friendly and did a great job of explaining all the wines and helping me find wines that fit my preference. I ended up joining their wine club and left with 8 bottles. I also got to meet Flurry one of the staff member's dog. Everyone was so friendly and I'm excited to return with some friends!

I chose my 3 wines for my flight and proceeded upstairs to enjoy in their seating area. It is much warmer upstairs and comfy. I was the only one there. They do not have a kitchen on-site but have lots of options for snacks while visiting. Upstairs also has a full tasting bar. There are also some nearby areas that serve food that you can bring inside. The 2 highlights for me was the music selection! During my visit smooth jazz and blues could be enjoyed in the background which just added to the vibe of the place. And one of the owners is also an MSU alumni Go Green!

They even had some weird options that I was tempted to try but I went for a more traditional flight (although I definitely want to return for the coffee whisky). The only option I wasn't in love with was the smokehouse, but that's just a personal preference. After my tasting I learned they were doing some kind of slushys as well, so I got one of those. I thought it was a very fun, informative experience. I'll also have to try the "Proof" kitchen as well.
