My wife and I went last night. We ordered an appetizer and lasagna, and I ordered the chicken parm. The chicken was thin, and I couldn't cut it with a fork after fighting with it ( I only ate about a 1/4 of it). I just pushed the plate away. The waiter removed the plate and asked if they should redo it. I said no. He brought the full bill, and they didn't even remove the meal from the bill. He said if you want a discount you have to ask we can't just do it. I said, "Don't worry about it so I paid the $66.00 bill and left . When we walked in there was an odd smell...we should have left. My husband ordered the Caesar salad and I had the house salad and the bread. my husband liked his caesar salad. My house salad had brown lettuce towards the bottom, the bread was good but parts of it were hard and chewy. My husband ordered shrimp scampi and it had a brown hue to it such a turn off and he said the shrimp was fishy. I ordered the Chicken Dardania, just the color of the chicken was a turn off. The chicken was dry and chewy and the flavor of the pasta was very off putting. We really were hoping we had found an Italian restaurant we would like, sadly it wasn't so. Food is ok. Although they must be struggling as it was empty on Friday at 6 and my last visit several months ago they were packed. An assumption may be the prices of food and drinks as they border criminal. One shot costs more than an entire bottle at SPECS and I'm not exaggerating. I received a bill with $14 for a single shot of rum (and no specialty rum....I googled and showed my waitress the full bottle with a price of $13.99). It's exactly how a business goes under and I don't see this business thriving if they feel their food and drinks qualify like a five star establishment. I honestly feel robbed and disrespected. If food was superb this would be a different rating but it's just ok, nothing special. I love supporting local restaurants however I also like to wisely spend my hard earned money. Tried this for the first time. The manicotti was fantastic. The tomatoes were fresh with a hint of sweetness. There were clues of sun dried tomatoes, delicious. The cheese was real and was tantalizingly smooth yet stringy in a great spaghetti like way. The music was just as smooth with an ambience taking you back to yesterday. I had the best Margarita pizza in Austin. Could not find one that came close in San Antonio/New Braunfels area...until yesterday! Noli's Vite has the PERFECT Margarita Pizza! I is prepared with pizza sauce but I requested olive oil instead! I cannot tell you how delicious and hot out of the oven it was! Our server "Tony" (can't spell or pronounce his real name but it sounds like a song, Da Re^ Da Rah?) was kind, patient, knowledgeable and attentive WITHOUT being overbearing. I just wanted to touch on the business side of this restaurant! This was our second time, and we were seated without any waiter coming to us for about 6 to 8 minutes. We finally flagged down the hostess, and when she learned our table have been neglected, was so apologetic and handled it very well! she gave us a free appetizer to make up for it and was so apologetic every time she saw us. It's very understandable to know mistakes will happen but it's how businesses handle those mistakes that keeps people coming back or not and this was a wonderful way to maintain and keep a business. I am sorry to say, we were very disappointed! We were there for lunch on Friday- not a single person in there, except for us! Yes, the rolls were good-a little under cooked-but, the rest of the food was awful. Usually when u order a eggplant dish, it comes with a pasta-had to pay 7.99 extra for a childs portion. My husbands alfredo was too salty, overcooked and not edible. Its a shame, such a nice big building with awful food! We brought another couple, and they were also disappointed! Embarrassing for us!! The Calamari appetizer was rubbery, we could only eat a quarter of it. I ordered the veal saltimbocca and I have absolutely no idea what was served. Saltimbocca is my favorite Italian dish but what was on the plate was NOT saltimbocca. The whole piece of veal was covered with cheese (never had saltimbocca with cheese on it). Additionally it is supposed to have prosciutto, there was none. Saltimbocca should be a light, tender veal meal. Whatever was on the plate had so much cheese, it covered what should have been the taste of the meat. My wife had the shrimp scampi which was covered with a tomato sauce--never had shrimp scampi with a tomato sauce. The shrimp was pretty good. We went here for my wife's birthday dinner and it was a flop. When paying $70 (before tip) for a meal, I expect great food. When we go to a restaurant and are underwhelmed, we give it a second chance. Not here, it's too expensive to experiment. read more

Don't get me wrong our server, the hostess and busser were all awesome but why oh why did this place change from the Mexican restaurant?! And it changed within like just a few days. Anyhow to the review. My husband got the mozzarella sticks as a starter. Props to them because honestly you could tell they were homemade but using panko breading threw me off...also something tasted fishy (it tied into the rest of the meal). The sauce that came with it was cold canned diced tomatoes. And it was watered down so nothing stuck to the sticks. I had asked for a Cesar salad and I was brought out lettuce with two small tomatoes and mozzarella cheese with a side of Cesar. I was honestly so surprised. No parmesano and the lettuce wasn't romaine. Regardless I had about half because I had to keep tossing the salad around to coat the sauce because they didn't. My husbands meal came out with a chicken and vegetable soup. There was so much oil in the soup the top of the soup was layered and the spoon had oil residue on it pooling when he placed his spoon down into the broth. I've been to Italy and I don't remember them drowning soup like that. Also I don't remember them drowning their food in the sauces. Both our meals the sauces saturated the plate. I'm sure that's great for some but my chicken Marsala was salty, the mushrooms were canned and the chicken was rubbery. I honestly only ate the linguini that came with it because the noodles were on point. My husband had the chicken parmigiana. The chicken was breaded and dredged in the same breading as the fish plates. How can we tell? Well he just threw it all up because he is allergic to fish. He only ate one strip of the chicken because it tasted fishy (like the sticks). His tomato sauce was the same stuff that came with the sticks and you could tell they didn't properly marry the noodles with the sauce because the sauce didn't stick to the noodles. In fact he had a pool of sauce on his plate soaking in all that fun fish breading from the chicken. We asked for a Togo plate to put everything in. Like I said our server was awesome. But when we got home we couldn't bring ourselves to even let the kids try this as a leftover and so we chunked it. This place is overly priced and trying to compete with the makos on the creek next door. I haven't even tried the makos but they are Gucci and not a place that serves my type of food. Again why did you change?! All they did was change the decor and food. Everything else was the same. Same servers and hostesses. (We had been to the Mexican restaurant a a lot.) So if you come here just set the expectations low and you won't be disappointed. My parents had liked the pizza...we won't be back to try it so we will take their word for it. read more
