Everyone has been really great to work with. May 2024 - I finally scheduled our annual maintenance. They sent James out. He was fantastic. A wealth of knowledge, polite and professional. I signed up for the annual maintenance plan to save money. He made good recommendations based on my needs and concerns of my allergies. Much appreciated! 2026 update - our heat pump stopped working and needed replacement parts. I paid for them to send a tech to diagnose it and they followed through with the work which is under the 10-year warranty. Tech, Hagen was very nice and professional and made sure to answer all of my questions. Kudos to the office staff, Brittny, Erin and everyone who took my calls while I was eagerly waiting for parts & repair. They treated me very kindly and proactively communicated each step of the way. I hope that this fix lasts a long time, or at least until we upgrade to a newer, more environmentally friendly unit.

CM Heating Review…read more We decided to go with CM Heating for several reasons. Their reviews online were very good. I talked to my neighbors to hear what their experience was and CM Heating name was brought up a couple times as a stand out company. The sales person Amber was very professional and gave us a ton of information. She was instantly responsive when I had questions. We got 3 bids for this job. I took all the information and used AI to compare the mountain of info to get its take in the bids. Cm Heating consistently had the edge over the others. The main reason was the warranty. If you are spending a fair amount of money, you need a good warranty. All said and done CM Heating was the winner Getting an install date was a breeze. All the detail work was handled by them. The office sent me the permits to print and post. Install Day I was notified of the time they would arrive and the guys were right on time Tim and Melvin sized up the job and jumped in at full speed. Melvin worked on the furnace Tim on the Heat Pump. These guys never stopped the entire time except when my wife brought them some home made chocolate chip cookies. I was very impressed with their performance. We had questions along the way and they provided answers immediately. Great trustworthy people. By the time they were done all the areas were spotless. Obviously I made the correct decision going with CM Heating and I would highly recommend them

Service Requested : Electrical panel replacement, dryer circuit, bedroom circuit & quad outlet…read more The crew were early, dedicated and doggedly determined. Day one was a the long pole, the panel replacement. They didn't stop until they were done. Went to sleep in a warm bed that very night. Next day they returned to wrap-up the dryer & bedroom circuits. They were thorough. They did the "best effort" and took no shortcuts. And the quote was much lower than every other (I obtained 7). Completely and happily recommend them.

The only HVAC installer that listened to me…read more Global warming is a "real thing". The pacific northwest has typically been a temperate climate that does not require cooling, but I could no longer take the heat since opening the windows at night was no longer sufficiently cooling my house. Previously my house was heated with natural gas and I'd like to eventually disconnect from natural case to reduce my environmental impact. Given these factors, I decided that a heat pump is my best choice and I lined up 5 contractors to give me bids. My house has 3 foot property lines and I didn't want to forced into listening to a loud heat pump when relaxing on my deck, so I was pretty constrained on how loud the condensing tower can be and where it can be placed. The best place for the condensing tower was next to my natural gas meter, but this is not to code unless the venting for the meter is moved to a location which is "safe". Snohomish Valley Heating & AC was the only contractor willing to add a proper vent and install a unit which would be quiet enough for me to sit on my deck and not be frustrated with loud heat pump noises. They installed a Daikin VRV unit which is whisper quiet. They estimated 4 days for the install, but did it in record time of 2 days! Just in time for the next heat wave to hit. Since the unit was installed next to my utility closet door (which contains the indoor unit), I requested to have a way to prevent the door from hitting the outdoor unit and they installed this for me. I also complained about the indoor unit noise and they fixed that problem by changing the inflow vent in my house which was making the noise (I assumed it was the indoor unit, but it was really the vent for the unit which was making the noise). During inspection, there was one minor issue with not having a secondary drain on the indoor unit, but if they had done a garage install that would not be required, so I assume this was simply an oversight. They said they would install the secondary overflow so the install is to code. Also, they requested that when the winter month's arrive we have them visit to check on the heating unit to make sure it is operating correctly. Great service, great product, satisfied customer! The warranty is for 10 years, given that this is the first month into owning this unit, I can't say how well they last or how much maintenance is required, but the reputation for Daikin units seems to indicate that this should not be an issue.

Seatown Review: Before You Hire, Read About Our Experience…read more We hired Seatown because of a previous positive experience with one of their plumbers. When our water heater failed, we contacted them again for a replacement and several electrical projects, including an EV charger installation. The salesperson who came to our home told us he could offer a particularly good deal and an additional 10% discount if work started immediately. Based on those representations, we signed the estimates and proceeded. Shortly after work began, we started researching the pricing and became concerned that the quoted costs were far higher than market rates. For example, we were quoted approximately $7,500 for a replacement water heater and installation. Our later research indicated the unit retailed for about $2,350, leading us to question the overall pricing. In total, Seatown's billings approached $17,000. Based on our own research and discussions, we believed a reasonable price for the completed work was closer to $8,500. We requested a detailed review of the charges before making additional payments. After discussions with Seatown, the company reduced the total cost by approximately $7,000. We ultimately paid about $8,500, including our down payment. We also discovered that a required electrical permit had not been obtained before work began. The permit was secured approximately one month after completion of the work. During the subsequent city inspection, the work initially failed inspection and required corrective action before ultimately passing. Our concerns were not with the workers themselves, who were generally professional and courteous. Rather, they involved the pricing, sales process, and permit handling. Based on our experience, we strongly recommend obtaining multiple bids, asking detailed questions about permits, and carefully reviewing pricing before signing any agreement. Doing so could save you thousands of dollars.
