I should have read the reviews before going here. I can't stress how unhappy we are with the overall experience. The sales process was made easy by our salesman Jim A. At which point all communication and help dissipated. Questions have gone unanswered, lack of communication about timing on every aspect of the process. We have to continuously reached out for all of the surprises only to have our questions, again go unanswered. There is not much more that I can say other than if you need someone to repair or service your fireplace I strongly recommend Greg and Fireside Home Solutions. FYI: this was a return visit as the first tech did his best to fix the issue, it helped but did not totally resolve the problem. Completely Dishonoring and deceitful = Fireside Home Solutions. I am stunned that a company would treat sweet people the way Fireside Home Solutions treated our neighbors! They came to apparently do a cleaning service for our neighbors' fireplace, which was working just fine. After the tech tested the fireplace himself, he wrote on the invoice, "fireplace works fine!". Then he proceeded to spend hours taking everything apart, "cleaning", and putting it back together in a different manner than it was. Then he turned the unit on and now the fan made a horrible noise. He tried adjusting something and then turned it on, and now it didn't work at all. The company proceeded to tell our Senior neighbors that they would have to come up with about $800 dollars, to allow Fireside Home Solutions the ability to order a new fan. Then after it arrived, they would come to install it.....(for who knows how much more money!) Our neighbors have been trying to reason honestly with Fireside Home Solutions; (Stephanie, Destiny, Vald, Braden R., ...) yet, with no resolution. The facts here are this: The tech stated that the fireplace unit worked "fine!", before he began his work. After his "work", the fireplace fan won't work and the unit makes a banging sound when the gas lights the logs...as if something is in the way of the fuel. (scary!) Yet, the staff at Fireside Home Solutions will not honestly own what they did. Basically, they caused our neighbors' fireplace not to work properly OR safely! And they won't fix what they broke! It is Disgusting to know that a company would be so Dishonest and Careless, basically showing that they think it's okay to Steal from seniors and not own up to their responsibilities. Fireside Home solutions is a SHAME! They should not have ANY star of review....except a NEGATIVE ONE. read more

Fireside is a great place to go. We needed our gas fireplace repaired. The scheduling process was easy. The tech Eric B was phenomenal. He texted me a half hour window when he was planning to arrive, arrived in the earlier side of that window (rare these days for service techs to show up when they say they will), let me know what the issue was, had the parts on his truck, and got it fixed. Additionally, he even cleaned and painted my fireplace so it looks brand new. Super nice and smart guy. Bought 2 gas fireplaces and had them lit off 1 year 2 months ago. One was sooting up. Called them up to get service and ask about warranty and was told warranty was for 1 year. They came out to service and told us the sooting was caused by misplacement of logs over burner (they did the install), though the tech put on the work order it was caused by "log placement shifting". Obivous the sooting happened within the 1 year period, just happent to call them 2 months after period. $400 later. So much for exceeding customer expectations. As a small business owner for 28 years, not impressed, dont complain about big box retailers if you are not adding any additional value. read more

Terrible service! Don't waste your time and money! We have a brand new build with a brand new fireplace. It was hooked up in mid April but didn't work. We were told a part needed replacement. One month later their technician came to repair but didn't have the part. This happened three times in a three month window of time. I purchased a gas fireplace from Fireside Home Solutions. The fire place stopped working after a couple years of use. I then hired their technician to fix it at a cost of $400-500. Less than a year later, the fireplace stopped working with the same symptoms. Fireside refuses to back the service done and wants another $400-500 to fix the fireplace again. Terrible service and would never buy from this company again. I hope you don't fall victim as well. read more

PSE initially identified a gas leak, and upon arrival, Fireside made things worse. They rendered the blower inoperable by breaking its circuit, while the gas leak persisted despite their "repair." (Blower never repaired). During a subsequent visit, the technician even admitted to breaking a connector, further adding to the growing list of problems. After months of delays and unaddressed issues, Fireside wanted to charge me for the replacement part related to the gas leak their technician damaged! Finally, another "repair" resulted in... you guessed it... another gas leak just identified tonight. Weeks of noxious odor and debilitating headaches eventually led Puget Sound Energy to confirm the leak most likely stemmed from Fireside's most recent botched repair attempt Hundreds of dollars wasted, months of frustration, and ongoing gas leaks - that's the legacy Fireside Home Solutions left me with. We chose to contact Fireside in October when our pilot light unexpectedly went out because they had originally installed our fireplace. It took several calls, a voicemail, and more calls before someone even picked up the phone. The soonest a technician could come out was in November, over a month after our original call. I understand it's the beginning of winter, so we agreed to wait. They quoted us for the service, and gave us a list of items that were covered in that charge plus diagnostics. When the technician came out, he replaced the batteries in the ignitor box, then lit the pilot light with a lighter. When he flipped the switch and the fire wouldn't light, you could tell he was at a loss. He called his supervisor, and together they determined "it must be a gas valve". The tech didn't have the part in his truck, but it was at the warehouse. When I asked how long we'd have to wait for someone to come back out, he said we'd be at the top of the line (no more than a week) for another tech to come out because it's considered a follow-up appointment. He charged us at that time, and said the scheduler would reach out the following day. Fireside did not reach out to us at all to reschedule. After a week, we tried to contact them. It took myself and my partner over TEN calls to get a person on the phone again. When we finally did, they quoted us January 5th as the soonest they could get a senior technician to come out with a gas valve. What a joke. We declined to wait that long and asked for a refund as they pre-charged us for a service they didn't complete. Still waiting on a call back from the manager they promised would call us two weeks ago about that refund. We've reported them to our bank as well. To add, we ended up calling another company that came out 2 days after we called. We didn't need a new gas valve either, a small part of the pilot assembly was warped. The guy fixed it in 2 minutes and didn't even charge us. I would avoid Fireside at all costs, these people are frauds. read more

Purchased a fireplace from here and paid for a very pricey installation. Worst decision I could have made. We had someone out 5 times over the course of roughly a month to simply connect the fireplace and start it up. The latest visit ended up damaging the fireplace and left us missing a screw to hold on the screen. Read the other reviews and avoid this place at all costs. read more

We had our three fireplaces serviced by this company two years ago. It was time for another service as one of our fireplaces was acting up. We sent them an email and asked them to schedule an appointment. They were responsive and came back with a date of about two months out, which is normal in this economy. Then they came back and said they would have to charge us a trip fee of $225. They are in Bellevue we are in Snoqualmie, which is only a 15 mile drive. $225 trip fee for 15 miles? I think they're out of their minds. Also, they did not charge that two years ago when we had our fireplaces serviced by them. We are very disappointed. read more

We ordered a fireplace that was in stock (we made sure we chose a fireplace that was in stock to avoid delays) when we ordered it. It was partially delivered three weeks after the order - this completely delayed our remodeling project by 3 weeks, with all the inconveniences this implies. My contractor was able to finish the remodeling project leaving a hole on the wall for 2 weeks when Fireside finally decided to come. When I spoke to the person installing telling how relieved i was for finally have the project completed, he asked how long were you waiting? I responded about 1 month, he said consider yourself lucky, there is people waiting for 6 months for their projects to be complete. After the installer left, I was left with the surprise that the project was not completed. They "forgot" parts. The response from Ryan Heat to our contractor was "Sorry the part (part 1) did not go out on the last trip" , "I am not sure why it (the other part 2) wasn't there with the rest of the kit" with they finally saying "I completely understand the frustration on the customer's side" Besides "not being sure" or "being sorry parts in stock are not delivered" this company has a terrible customer service. We called their number of times to talk with Ryan or Josh, they never pick up, they never call back, they are only communicating to our contractor at this point. The fireplace is new and so far is not what we were expecting with very tiny flames, different from what they show in their exhibit room in Bellevue. On top, i smell some gas when I turn on, I am hoping there are no leaks. I read another review where they say the company left leaks. Bad experience so far. read more

The problem with Fireside is more with the service than the sale. They carry great brands, but when they break (which they will), the fireplaces are complex to fix and they are routinely several weeks, or months, out from making repairs. Other repair shops have refused to work on these brands because they are so complicated. I would recommend finding a retailer where where you know they will stand behind the products they sell. read more
