Also, not sure how well they bus their tables after people leave. My table had a sticky spot so I added some water to my napkin to wipe it and the napkin was pretty dirty. Got shrimp & grits and the shrimp were yummy, piping hot but the grits were room temp. Same thing kind of happened with the entree. Fish was cooked nice and came out hot, but the mashed potatoes under the fish was room temp.

I've been putting off a review, waiting for things to get better but . . . after…read more12'ish years of regular shopping here, today is marking the end of my tolerance for consistently slipping service, questionable inventory and overall sadness on the shelves. It didn't used to be this way but the past four or five months the shopping experience here has been steadily declining. Today at noon'ish, the hot foods counter was bare. Absolutely nothing in the trays. The cold foods were full but- tired looking. I no longer get anything from the prepared foods anyway, as I was on the losing end of an interrogation about potato salad last month (. . . and exactly why is it orange?) that was never going to provide an answer from the uninformed employee. Today, I did get prepared chicken salad this trip as it's delicious when it's made to their original recipe (rotisserie chicken, mayo, celery) but not so much when the chef skips the mayo. And celery. It looks like it has everything in it this time, so I'm hoping. Today in Produce, I did find two tomatoes on the vine. Not the delicious, locally-grown ones I found in here last week, but beggars can't be choosers, so I grabbed the last ones. Last week it was scallions. No scallions- why? That day, the helpful employee didn't deny it was odd, he just shrugged and said, "Maybe in a couple of days?". I could maybe excuse the empty shelves and the clueless employees except for the cashiers who know better than the customer. Today was the third visit I asked the employee conducting a painfully slow checkout process not to squash everything in my order into only one of my shopping bags but . . . nah, he knew best. so all went in one bag. Then he backed the cart out of his way into the line of people waiting patiently behind me, (insted of pulling it forward) saying, "You want your cart?" Why do I want that cart? I'm happy to put it back in the cart line without you running some poor woman's foot over with it, but sure, I'll drag the cart around the counter and through the line because I'm standing at the end of the counter emptying half of what's in one of my bags and filling the second bag with it anyways, so . . . I started shopping at TFM for the quality, the variety of unusual items and the pleasant employees who were helpful, doing a job, and trying to do it well. No clue what's happening, but I can't annoy myself here any more. But now I have to find Malted Milk Balls somewhere that even come close to TFM ones, and that's not gonna happen anytime soon!

A stock boy named Mike was exceptionally kind and helpful. A few months ago , another very kind gentleman helped me carry heavy boxes again. I think his name was John? You do not find good customer service anymore, anywhere these days - so please keep up the good work guys! The most frustrating thing was when the bartender came over and saw a full drink, and two plates that were barely touched, and didn't think to ask if everything was okay. Simply replacing my drink would've been enough, but that was a step too far for them I suppose. A new restaurant should take over this space, one that cares about putting out quality food and drinks.

It appeared we were the only 2 parties in that side of the restaurant, and there appeared to be one waitress working it. She was taking the other party's app and drink order. It seemed complicated, with lots of questions and clarifications back and forth. At one point the waitress looked at us and said "I'll be with you in just a moment." We said "no problem." She finished with that party and told us "I'll be right with you after I put in this food order." We say "ok." But she was gone a long time. She finally came back, with a couple drinks for the other party, talked to them a bit, then left again, telling us, again, she'd be right with us. Came back with 2 more drinks for the other party. And left again. At this point we have nothing but menus. No water, no popcorn, nothing. We're near the host stand, and I can see him, just standing there picking his fingernails. I'm thinking maybe he should pitch in if this one waitress is overwhelmed with this one other party. I keep nudging my wife, saying "let's leave and go somewhere else." She says no, so we wait. Finally, here comes the waitress... But she doesn't come to us! She goes to the OTHER party and asks "you ready to put the rest of your food in?" They don't even have their apps yet, and we have NOTHING after about fifteen minutes! We're listening to them order, and it sounds complicated again, things like "no pickles on it, but a side of pickles, please." We're rolling our eyes, can't believe she's STILL ignoring us after telling us multiple times she'll be right with us. But we figure she'll take our order right after she takes theirs, and we're ready. We know what we want and have no questions. NOPE. She walks away, saying nothing to us, after taking their second order. We got up and left. Nothing on the table but menus. Not even water. I was greeted promptly as I walked through the front door and was led to a table in the dining room. A server came over immediately with some complimentary chips and salsa and I put my drink order in so I could look over the menu as I was waiting for my drink to be served. The decor was very nice in the dining room and some Mexican music played softly in the background. The menu had a great variety of Mexican dishes and there is something for everyone on their menu. I was in the mood for something simple and easy so I decided to order their nachos as a meal. The nachos were very good and had a plentiful amount of delicious melted cheese. The portion size was more than enough. For those who prefer to sit at a bar they do have a nice cocktail bar to sit at and the dining area for those who prefer a table is comfortable and allows people to relax and enjoy themselves. I had a very positive experience considering both the food and the service. I am looking forward to dining here again.
