In the past, I have had nothing but good things to say about Noni's Grille of Troy. Most recently though, I have been more disappointed that anything. Our office of 20+ people, order from them at least once a week. There had even been glass found in one of the employee's salads, and we still gave them the benefit of the doubt. Most recently, we were shorted 2 salads, which we had paid for. We ordered 7 salads, received only 5, leaving 2 employees without their orders, but we paid for 7 salads. The Noni Grille staff insisted that we received all 7 of them, and we were to pay for the two we said we did not receive. Implying that we were not telling the truth, even stating that they checked the "video" to ensure that we were given what we ordered. We ended up receiving the two salads, but not without the comment, "I hope you realize that you were just given $45 worth of free food". Really??? From local business to another, you cannot accuse patrons who frequent your establishment of being dishonest, in such a way. It has left such a poor impression, so much so that our staff, including the Chief Financial Officer and the Owner of the company, will no longer support this establishment, due to the treatment of the employee who was simply trying to get our order, that was paid for in full, corrected. read more

We used to like this place, but we went for the first time during the pandemic and found complete lax mask wearing. Many wait staff with mask at the chin. One waitress even had her mask complete down as she was filling a beverage. The worst part was both cooks in the kitchen had their masks only covering the mouths as they were working the grill. Yesterday my husband and I stopped at Nino's to get carry out for dinner. The server who took our order had a mask that did not cover her nose and we noticed that one of the cooks wasn't wearing a mask and the other cook had his nose showing. Half of the servers did not have their noses covered by their masks. Also, they are still using regular menus as opposed to paper disposable ones like most restaurants are using at this time. In addition, the floor was sticky. We will not be returning to Noni's anytime soon. read more

We have tried this a few times now and still no success. Pros: Restaurant decor is beautiful including plates and silverware. Menu is large and so are the portions. Cons: Waitress service is slow. Food is not very good - soups, sauces, crepes and bread are flavorless and bland even with salt and pepper. Some other positives: Salads are good, fries and potatoes are ok. The food here is usually pretty great and the service is solid as well. A few steps above a coney but they are a bit pricier, but have way more options and the quality is better. I have dined here quite a few times and it has been great. Last Friday was the complete opposite. Everything was going well until I tasted my ranch. Something was very off about it and it seemed spoiled. I was in a group of 6 or 7 and asked everyone to try it and let me know their thoughts on the ranch. We all came to the conclusion that something wasn't right with it and simply alerted the waitress that it may be spoiled or off somehow so other customers wouldn't get bad ranch. We asked for nothing and didn't even make a big deal about it. A few minutes later some lady stormed out and claimed that she had made the ranch a few hours prior, ate it with her chicken tenders, and that all of our tastes were wrong. She literally said "all of your tastebuds must be off because it is fine". We weren't arguing and she continued to berate us. It was a non issue that she turned into a problem. I will not be returning and I advise others to avoid this place. Everything was great until this crazy woman started claiming our taste was wrong. Taste is subjective, but regardless it was different from before, I simply mentioned it seemed off, and this psychotic woman yelled at our entire party. The server was not at fault, and we tipped him extra for having to work with such a disgusting woman. Not sure if she was just a manager or owned the place, but she treated us with zero respect. When we were trying to flag her down, we saw that she was on her phone. Took about 10 minutes trying to get boxes for our food. I went there with my Daughter after karate one night and we both had great meals. I had the tuna melt. The portions are large if not a bit pricier than their competitors. Free ice cream since it was our first time. Convinced my wife to try it since the experience was so good. Well, she ordered the mostaccoli. First they brought it with the wrong sauce. The waitress apologized and promised free dessert for the mix up. No big deal we said. Then the correct order arrived and after a few Bites a hair was discovered. The waitress actually saw us pull it out and rushed over. Again an apology. We were courteous and again said that we understood expecting that something would be done when the bill arrived. Bill came and nothing was taken off and surprise but no dessert either. We were done by then so we left. We at least expected that the manager would come and apologize or something. First time there was seated right away. We ordered our food but it kind of took a while to get our soups and salads. Our appetizer took even longer. This was the 2nd time we went to Noni's grille. The first time we sat for 10 minutes before having to find a server. Once we had a server she was fantastic. Very informative, kind and polite. The food was delicious. This time, I ordered the Sloppy Joe and added American cheese. The sloppy joe was described in the menu as "a traditional favorite." Sloppy joe came out and was a overcooked chopped up hamburger drizzled with ketchup and mustard with a piece of cheese over it. I didn't touch it, and instead shared the steak fajita with my boyfriend (highly recommended btw.) At the conclusion of our meal, I spoke with our server and discussed the so called sloppy joe, and she said she had concerns when the kitchen gave it to her as it didn't look like that the last time someone ordered it. She asked if we wanted to speak with her manager, and I said no, we paid for the sloppy joe and the other items we ordered. After discussing with my boyfriend I chose to speak with the manager because I was under the assumption that possibly this was a kitchen error and being that it's a new restaurant I thought they'd like to know. The manager, who was another server, walked over and asked what the problem was. I showed her the picture of the chopped hamburger that I took and she looked, and said " ok what's the problem." I replied that in the menu it was described as a sloppy joe, not a hamburger chopped with condiments strewn all over it. She then said "well did you eat it?" I said no ma'am I didn't even touch it. I've obviously already paid for it because I ordered it, but I wanted to let you know that this is not a sloppy joe, and possibly the kitchen made an error as at a minimum I thought I would be getting manwich. Manager replies " ok well that's how we make sloppy joes" rolls her eyes and walks away. I like this place, but the manager treated me as if I was my 6 year old complaining about my food. Yes, I complained in thoughts that it was a mistake, I still paid, and then was made to feel like an idiot for speaking up. It's unfortunate that the lack of customer service overshadows many other good dishes. We live walking distance from this restaurant and I will say this little place is a hidden gem. My boyfriend and I want to move but we always talk about picking the place up and moving it with us. Staff is very friendly and helpful and we have always gotten good meals in a timely manner. We try to go here regularly because this place is SO good and nice! Food was good but service terrible. Walked in about 9:30AM not busy. Ordered breakfast and asked for bacon but got ham which looked good so I ate it. The water glass had something stuck to the the rim and the coffee mug revealed coffee stains after I had some of the coffee that must have been baked on somehow as they did not melt into the hot coffee. I asked for more coffee and had to ask again and got it when my meal was almost done. Then waited for the check which did not arrive till I walked to what I thought was the cashier because the waitress was busy socializing with co-workers. Then she had to walk back somewhere to take my payment and came back with 13 one dollar bills and some change!?. It took us close to an hour and a half to complete of meal with four people! The wait staff were slow and not very attentive. The menu is expansive and large portions are served. Prices reflect the larger portions... expect to pay a little more for them. The decor is nice and inviting. However, the food is not that great. My chicken was dry and had way too much fajita sauce on it.... I've never had sauce with fajitas, not really what I was expecting/looking for. The food was hot, though. We had our monthly group of ten eating at Noni's. The waitress was attentive. Coffee cups were kept filled. The order was taken for the entire table as soon as everyone was seated. Why the two stars? Our food did not arrive at the same time for everyone. Some people received their food and were told by the others to go ahead and eat while it was hot. Where do I start? We were seated for at least 15 minutes before our water arrived. I then had to physically get up and find our waitress to tell her to take the order. Once the order was placed we never saw our waitress again, we waited over an hour to get our breakfast. When we asked another waitress if we could get our coffee refilled she rudely stated "I'm not your waitress". This place is a joke and by the time our food came we were almost laughing to keep our hangriness to a minimum. Once the food came it was ok, but they screwed up on multiple orders. We asked for the manager and they never showed up, no one ever apologized, in fact they were rather snotty to us because they can't handle running a restaurant properly. We went for breakfast not a 4 course meal. Total time from start to finish was 2 hours. Next time I will hit a Coney where the food is decent and your not growing a beard waiting for your food... This was our 3rd visit on 5/25/19. Our server mentioned they have a new chef and the quality of our food was sub par. I had chicken noodle soup with my mea it was tasteless and not of homemade quality. My jumbo breaded shrimp was ok. My wife had the spinach pie it was probably the worst she ever had. I waited to try Noni's based on some negative reviews early on. Sounded like they were trying to work the kinks out of a brand new operation. Well, it seems like they've figured things out. As others have mentioned, the portions are huge. The prices are a little higher than average for a diner type place but the quality is there and service was very good. My family recently visited for lunch. This was our first time here. We were seated promptly. However things went south very quickly. Our waitress took our order, she brought the side salad. We had no silverware. I asked the server filling the coffee for silverware, he never returned. 15 minutes later we got the attention of our waitress. The food arrived and was not impressive. At the end of our visit, the only time our waitress gave us any attention was for the bill. She waited at the table for me to get out my credit card, then waited again for me to sign the slip. I found this to be very rude and disrespectful. This is the first time in a restaurant that a waitress has ever waited for my tip and signature. Not happy and will not be back!! read more

This is a new restaurant. We were there for lunch. We arrived at about 12:15 pm. We finally got water at about 12:30. Once our order was finally taken, at about 1:00, we were told that they didn't have the order for my husband. We had now been waiting for almost an hour. During this time, the dirty dishes on the table next to us were left unattended. We watched a waiter blow on flaming cheese twice as though it was a family birthday cake! When we finally got our food, my friend's fish was still raw in the middle. They refused to do anything about it because she had eaten some of it. Of course, she had eaten until she discovered it was raw! The manager, when called, had a list of excuses for why the food was cold, not ordered, they were overwhelmed with customers, etc. She did not offer to do anything to make it right. My food was a local favorite. It looked and tasted as though the cook had never actually seen the dish completed by someone who knew what it was supposed to be. And the food was finally served cold. Except for my mashed potatoes which tasted like potato flakes and fresh from the microwave. The service was terrible. The food was inedible. The management unconcerned. Splitting a bill was beyond the waiter's ability. I will not eat there again. read more

We were excited and saw great reviews. We were sat right away and the hostess brought us our drinks really quick. Our server took a few minutes to come over but it gave us time to review the menu. Finally ordered cheese sticks, saganoki soup and salad. Saganoki came out first and we cut in and found a hair with the first bite we were going to take. We showed the server and she took ot off our bill. I had chicken Alfredo, a couple bites in another hair, different length. Too long to be mine and too short for my wife and son. Made me sick. My son and wife were both grossed out as well. I asked for the bill and showed our server. She comped mine but never sent a manager over. I have worked in the industry and if I served a table and something like this happened, I would have comped the tab and had the manager come talk to the table and apologize. We never complain but this was gross. Because of this we will not be back. Our tab ended up being $35 and I still tipped $10 because I felt bad for the server. read more

A friend and I happened upon this place on a weekend trip to Michigan (from Cleveland). Turns out they said they had only opened 2 months earlier. Nice, well-light, clean and modern environment. The real star is the food, every type (which might seem like it wouldn't be good) but I cannot say enough about how good it was. Home-cooked, gigantic quantities, and the rolls they bring at the beginning are very large, crusty outside and tender inside ... excellent. We got there at 9 p.m. (they closed at midnight) and asked if there was any soup left. Our server said "All we have left is ...", and she proceeded to rattle off about 7 types of soup! The Greek lemon-chicken cup of soup was huge (large bowl) and excellent. The meat-loaf open sandwich was very tasty and more than filling. The salads are huge. We saw someone's Ice Cream sundae which was gigantic. If you are traveling, make sure your hotel has a mini-fridge, LOL! read more
