Ordered veggie crepes with hollandaise....worst hollandaise, Like processed cheese sauce. Had plastic feel when it was cold.

Greek Salad with grilled chicken. The Greek dressing was so good and refreshing, not overly spiced and not heavy!

This place is never consistent. The help is rude and never get orders right. It's an overrated diner.

We forgot to get on the wait list early but it wasn't too long of a wait. The restaurant is bright and airy which makes it a pleasant atmosphere. They had their Seasonal Summer Menu available so we ordered from that. I got the Million Dollar Breakfast Sandwich and hubby got the Chipotle Steak and Queso Hash. We also both got regular coffee. They offer both regular and vanilla flavored creamer for their coffee. I appreciate that because I love vanilla flavoring. The coffee was really good - smooth and flavorful without being bitter. My sandwich was also packed with flavors...their signature Million Dollar Bacon, sausage, egg (any style you want!), Gruyère cheese, hot honey, and greens - all on an English muffin. This was so good! The honey was not too spicy which made it the perfect addition of sweet and heat to the savory sandwich. Hubby really liked his dish as well. This was a complete 180 from our last visit. Don't sleep on this special menu! We also had a great server - her mom works there as well and they made a great team together!

Alex Royal Grill - Troy, MI This place has been popping up…read morein my feed on Yelp and Google Maps for a while, and I finally decided to check it out--glad I did. Alex Royal Grill is located in a strip mall, but don't let that deter you. Sometimes those are the best hidden gems. Service was a little on the slow side even though it wasn't very busy, but honestly, I may have noticed it more because I walked in very hungry. That said, my waitress was absolutely delightful--super friendly and attentive, and she made the wait much more pleasant. I ordered the biscuits and gravy with a side of sausage patties and eggs. The portion size was solid and definitely filled me up. The gravy was delicious, the eggs cooked perfectly over medium, and the sausage patties were flavorful. They were just a touch more cooked than I personally prefer--but I can't really judge, as I tend to do the exact same thing when I make sausage at home. Overall, this experience was easily a strong 4.5 out of 5, and close enough to five stars that I'm comfortable giving it one. I'll definitely be coming back to try more of the menu. If you're in Troy and looking for a down‑to‑earth spot with good food and friendly service, this place is worth checking out.

Comfy booth, with some limited outdoor space. We first tried the bao duo appetizer and it was very flavorful and a good amount of food to split for two. We got Szechuan and Peruvian chicken, and each had a distinct and delicious flavor. I'd love to try more as I think the bao is a great canvas for flavor. Smash Burger was very good. Juicy and a bit fatty but very rich, and the fries were delicious as well. McDonald's shape but very much elevated. Came with a delicious aioli dip, which I could not get enough of. We wanted dessert but after a 20 min wait we were told the chef wasn't happy with how it turned out so decided he couldn't serve us that. No worries and appreciated the honesty. Food came out quickly, and waited was on top with the water. Reasonable prices and small menu make me want to try the other options knowing they're as well thought out as these dishes. Definitely worth a try!

Nick is waiting on us. He's warm and friendly. An American restaurant with Asian and some Peruvian flare to the menu items. Most items are shareables. Ordered chili crisp deviled eggs, general tso's cauliflower, feta wonton, imposter burger, mushroom bulgogi, elote Caesar less croutons, full grandma's house salad less cheddar. $116.60 The flowery plastic side plates and other plating aren't what I would have expected here. Interesting. The deviled eggs are yummy with the crisp chili. Not sure it's $14 worth though. I could easily get a 6 deviled eggs halves at holiday and throw some chili oil on top for $6. The feta wonton is yummy. The flat wonton is a nice riff on this app. It's a thin mini flatbread. Super crispy. Hot honey is always yummy. The general tso's cauliflower isn't my favorite. The breading is heavy and parts of it is super crunchy and hard, not just crispy. The imposter burger was so-so. Nothing special. The fries are thin and crispy, they are good. The mushroom bulgogi isn't too bad, maybe better if the shiitake wasn't dried. It tasted rubbery, which is usually a trait of the rehydrated dried mushrooms to me. Decent flavor. Love the ginger seasoning. The sushi rice isn't as good as I expected at all. Mushy. The house salad is okay, nothing fancy or unique there. Needs something notable for the dressing, tasted too plain. The banchans are so-so for an Ameican spot. The cucumber and broccoli aren't doing it for me. Kimchi is kimchesque. Service was good. Experience is unique.
