I really wanted to love Nonna's place. I've driven past so many times, and finally remembered to check it out. I love small, off the beaten path (by a few blocks) places - but I can't say that Nonna's is great. It's mixed. Service was excellent, and the food came out quickly. We ordered the lasagna and tagliatelle with marinara and meatballs. The lasagna was excellent - reminded me of my own nonna's- 5 stars. Good ratio of cheese, noodles, filling and sauce. The taglietelle was too al dente. The marinara was slightly bitter - and I found lots of leftover tomato skin after getting thru the pasta. The meatballs were fine. The tiramisu was very good While there, we saw some pizzas come out and they looked great. So we went back a few days later for a few take out pizza. Again - slightly disappointed. The crusts is very thin, and was crispy enough to break when picking up a slice. Toppings were fine - one pesto and one marinara based. But they just tasted a dry and overcooked. Overall - our visits were mixed and average. There are better pizza places within our area, and better Italian cuisine. read more

They are short staffed and food takes awhile. It smells amazing in the restaurant. My husband ordered Lasagna, it was decent, nothing noteworthy about it. I ordered the Chicken Parmesan and I would not eat it again. The chicken was over cooked and chewy. So many noodles with this dish. We ordered cannolis and forgot to take a picture. It came with 3 mini cannolis. They were good but I prefer the ricotta mixture without spices. We will be back to try the pizza. read more

I've had pasta here and reviewed it in another review - but I just had a chance to try the pizza recently and it is fantastic. The crust is thin and crispy, the toppings are generous - but not TOO generous so the pizza falls apart, the sauce is really tasty, and the price for the size is very fair. The pizzas average $15 and I can split one with a friend and we're both full. I haven't had pizza this good in a while. If you're from NH, we're used to a lot of the Greek-style pizzas with the buttery and thicker crust. This isn't that. This is thin, crispy, delicious, and cooked in a brick oven. They've also just opened their roof deck, which has a dedicated bar up there. It's freaking delightful and I will be back again and again. read more

Good Italian food with all pasta made on premises. For drinks they serve beer and wine only. There is no full bar.

Delicious food, excellent service! We really enjoyed the rooftop seating and appreciated that it was shaded on a hot summer's night.

Tried Nonna's for the 1st time, the recent reviews are correct. We started off with the Pasta Faggioli, it came out piping hot and very good. We ordered the Chicken Parmigiana and the Haddock Parmigiana both piping hot and with just the right amount breading, the homemade pasta was cooked perfect and the marinara sauce was excellent. The only issue was the loud table across from us that thought it was their place ,very loud and talking on their phones. Remi stopped buy the check up on us, and asked if we were 1st timers . Tried this place for the first time last night, and was beyond impressed. There wasn't a thing we got that we didn't love, but the Goulash I ordered was genuinely one of my favorite things I've ever gotten at a restaurant. Very nice atmosphere and very friendly staff. My wife got the chicken caprese panini and I had the chicken parmigiana dinner. Both dinners were home made and tasty. The panini wasn't a panini like we are used to, more like a toasted sandwich. Was very fresh and good. The fries are thick and not cooked as much as we would have liked. The chicken parm was very good. The pasta was cooked perfectly. The sauce was sweet and tasty. The breading on the chicken was good, not too much and not overpowering. Will eat here again. read more

First time ordering from Nonna's. I ordered the lasagna after seeing other recommendations. It was very good and HUGE!! I would have liked a little more sauce and would order sauce on the side if I get it again. We also ordered the chicken Parmesan egg rolls and they were amazing. The marinara dipping sauce was delicious. My honey ordered pasta with oil, garlic, chicken, and broccolini. It was dry - again needs more sauce. The pizza was good. BUT I ordered a half veggie half sausage pizza and instead of their usual $17 to $19 specialty pizza price they charged me $38. When I asked about the price they said if you don't get a pizza from the menu you pay for each ingredient for $2 to $3 each. They didn't mention it when I ordered. So for less stuff I paid more. We went for dinner with high hopes after reading reviews and seeing a 4.2 star rating. We couldn't have been more disappointed. This was one of the worst meals we have had in years! The fish we ordered was over cooked and over priced. The home made pasta sauce tasted like watered down ketchup and the wines were as poor as the food. A big disappointment. read more

My friend and I came in for dinner tonight for the first time and for the most part were quite satisfied. She ordered the lasagna while I had the haddock parm. We also got mozzarella sticks as an appetizer. The food took a little while to come out but we understand that quality can't be rushed. The mozzarella sticks (and the accompanying sauce) were very enjoyable but we couldn't help but notice that they were very small. I am not an expert on Italian food so cannot speak to the authenticity of the cuisine, but I can say this...The dishes were fresh, well prepared and tasty. It would have been nice if soup or bread had been included, as seems to be the rule in most Italian places. Our server, Ashley, was fantastic! Very welcoming, polite, and efficient. As for pricing, they are not cheap (but not outrageously expensive either). B+ for value in my opinion. I have to say that this little Italian restaurant is a great place if you are looking for Italian or Greek food. I had ravioli and my husband had the ground beef and cheese calzone. Both were very delicious. The waitress and owner were very friendly and I would not hesitate to go back there again when I visit Concord, New Hampshire. Great little Italian restaurant! I was visiting from Philly and with the Italian we have at our fingertips I never expect much of Italian places in other states. However, their food was fantastic!! First time eating at Nonna's. It's a small spot with 7-8 booths. Our server Jessica was great. The food was good. We ordered the Calamari to start which was very good, served with tentacles, lightly breaded and comes with a tangy sauce. I ordered the Chicken Parmigiana , when delivered it wasn't whole breasts but slivers of Chicken which must be used that way for their dishes. Sauce was very good and the cheese was tasty and melted well. Husband had Lasagna , large piece and was good. We will return and have the pizza!! read more

Cute little Italian place that also serves Greek food. If you like your sauce on the sweet side, you are in luck. The garlic bread that came with my spaghetti and meatballs really didn't have anything on it. The meatballs were amazing. I am looking forward to stopping by and eating there again. We had a lovely first time experience at Nonna's!! Riley, our attentive server, was wonderful. We started with a nice glass of Pinot Gris, followed by calamari perfectly cooked with a spicy sweet sauce. We shared a Caesar salad with plenty of delicious anchovies, nice and chilled. I had the homemade thin spaghetti pasta with meat sauce and my husband had the special which was tortellini with vodka sauce. Excellent. We shared a bottle of Cecce Chianti. No complaints there!!! I am almost at a loss for words to describe Nonna's. *Almost at a loss, but not quite*. This is THE PLACE if you are in Concord. I grew up around Italian people and food (although I am too pale to pass as one of the peeps), and this just feels like a second home. My litmus test is ordering a chicken parm, and in 6 years living in Concord, I have never ordered it...until now. Nonna's crushed it! The sauce and chicken were so good. So. Good. What a huge disappointment. Greek salad was primarily unripe tomatoes cut into quarters and inedible. The pepperoni pizza was average at best. Prices were extremely high for the quality and quantity of food served. The wine prices indicated that they highly valued low quality wine. Fabulous homemade pasta that has all the right ingredients and flavors. We ordered the thin spaghetti with meat sauce, lasagna and extra tasty pizza are all delicious and made fresh. My husband ordered the whole Branzini fish, he reluctantly shared a taste with the rest of us, he loved it. Stay away from this place. The worst service around, the place is empty, and it took us 45 min to get our appetizers, that came 5 min after 1 part of our main course was delivered. Food is just ok, pasta is not home made. After we let our waitress know that we would like to take our food to go, since we couldn't wait any longer, we had to wait another 10 min and actually go downstairs to get our bill and boxes.
