This was our second time dining at Crafty Crab. We visited about a year ago and decided to return for a celebratory dinner. The birthday girl loves seafood and wanted to go back to Crafty Crab. We were greeted immediately upon entering and was ushered to a table near the bar. Since we were so close to the bar, it was only fitting that I had an alcoholic beverage so I chose the Strawberry Mojito. Farah was great! She answered all our questions about the menu and made recommendations. She checked in periodically to make sure we were okay. I already had dinner earlier in the evening and wasn't too hungry so I ordered appetizers to share with the table. I decided on the Hush Puppies and the Krab Rangoons. The Strawberry Mojito was great. It had a generous amount of liquor and mint leaves that complimented each other very well. The Hush Puppies were delicious! They had a great flavor and were cooked to perfection. Unfortunately I did not enjoy the Crab Rangoons. The pastry was ok but the cream cheese filling tasted different than what I am custom to having. The Celebrant did enjoy her seafood boil. She had Crab Legs and Shrimp with Potatoes and Corn on the Cob. Other members in our party also enjoyed their orders of Mozzarella Sticks, Crab Cakes, a Strawberry Lemonade and a Pina Colada. read more

Tried Crafty Crab for a memorial birthday dinner, and unfortunately... it missed the mark for me. The crabs were tough to crack--literally. They had a rubbery texture, which usually means they weren't as fresh. I ordered shrimp, and they were definitely overcooked. I didn't even finish my meal and ended up heading to another spot afterward. Despite my experience, I'll give credit where it's due--our server was great, and the place was packed with people who seemed to be enjoying their food. We came in around 8 PM on a Thursday evening. It was not busy at all. In fact it was quite empty and that was perfect. I just wanted to enjoy dinner and vibes with my boo. This was our second stop for the evening. We have been wanting to give this place a try for some time now (We love their competitor Mr and Mrs Crab) But they are very good and the price was good also. Don't let your walk in deceive you, the seafood boils here are to die for! Everytime I go we have the same friendly server, I cannot remember her name right now. She helps us create our boil with what we want in it and season it with the old bay and butter. This meal along with the hush puppies will knock your socks off! Would come here often with family and friends and get the same waitress Cory who always knew what I wanted from when I first walked in the door. I've noticed she hasn't been there last few times we have been so I had to ask and come to find out they wrongfully terminated her! The food is great here. But we will not be returning customer service is hard to come by these days and they got rid of what majority of us were coming here for, all the new faces as well haven't been friendly and they act like they don't even know what they are doing. Crafty Crab is consistently on point! We come here a lot with our out of town family members who crave seafood boils. We have celebrated a ton of birthdays here without disappointment! The ambiance is fun and on theme for a seafood restaurant. The seafood boils are top notch and the sauce is incredible. We always order the garlic butter with medium Cajun and it is literally the best. The sauce is so flavorful, the shrimp and lobster is always on point. Sometimes the crab legs can be a little cold but they always taste good. The pricing is very reasonable for the amount of food you get and I like that we are able to get add-ons as well for a couple more bucks. Their drinks are super tasty! We always get the Mai Tai! Stop by for dinner with some friends and we were seated immediately. It was a bit busy and our waitress did take a while to come by. Ordered a Mai tai and it was not good I was unable to finish it my friend also did not finish her drink. My friend didn't like her drink either. Overall sweet and Warm. I ordered snow crabs with shrimp and a side of boiled eggs. The waitress looked very tired and didn't know what she was doing. Our tables check was messed up with my two friends my check was right but once she came back and I look at my check, my check was more than what I had saw. She added sausage to my order that I never ordered. As you can see In My picture no sausage in my bag!!! It was a hot mess, I asked to see my check and the "manager" wouldn't let me hold our tables check to go through it. She seemed very offensive when u asked to hold it and see it. One thing about me is I love seafood and I don't mean in the cheat on your diet type kinda thing. I love the bags full of food that come bouncing in from the sea to my table. And I'll take it one step further by saying I love the cocktails that come from the bar to it as well :) I've been to a million of these seafood in a bag restaurants but the reason I wanted to take some time out and review this particular one is because it's always clean, they get the food out in an extremely reasonable time, and their service is amazing. When I tell y'all these crabs were good! They were so good!!!! Went on Friday evening with the family and I'm so happy we decided on this place. They were busy, but the location is pretty large so there wasn't a wait. I got a pound of snow crab legs, 1/2 pound of sausage, and eggs in their signature boom seasoning at a hot spice level. The boil comes with corn and potatoes but you can modify your order to have just one or the other. The crabs were cooked perfectly and the sauce was the star of the show. Their pricing for crabs is very reasonable and our server was very attentive. I love seafood boils so I plan on returning soon. read more

Got my fix for seafood today. Flavor: The BOOM! Spice Level: FIRE! That's how my snow crab and shrimp came and how I'll always order it. Second time here and we came for my father-in-laws bday. Had a pound of snow crab and shrimp. It came with corn and potatoes all steamed in all the saucey goodness. Dad had the oysters . Crab of course is pretty pricey but it's well worth it for a pound of shrimp and snow crab it was around $45. I thoroughly enjoyed every bite. Decorations from top to bottom is all about the ocean. We were blessed to have a great server. She was quick, attentive an really nice. I'm glad it's less than 10 minutes away. I've noticed a lot of crab places opening up in Orlando. My fiance and I have been wanting to try this restaurant for a while and decided to go this past Thursday. There were about 4 or 5 other tables full of people there and service was quick and accurate. The restaurant decor was really nice, there was plenty of space for social distancing, and they even had a special station for hand washing. Our waitress gave us recommendations and was very attentive. We got a Mai Tai and a blue Hawaiian to drink and both were very delicious and well made. We ordered hush puppies, a half a dozen steamed oysters with the BOOM sauce, and a headless shrimp and snow crab bag with sausage seasoned with the BOOM medium. All of the food was an appropriate temperature and was brought to us quickly. The BOOM seasoning is delicious! My only complaints are that they didn't give us crab crackers and that the oysters were not cut away from the shells. Crab legs and shrimp were pretty good, the seasoning was really good but the margarita was just OK. Our server was awesome! My best friend mentioned this place and neither of us had previously gone. It was 530 when I walked in and they were in a booth which I found uncomfortable due to spacing but they had ordered so we didn't relocate. Our server Phillip was very friendly and quickly got my drink. He took our orders and was equally quick at getting the food for us. I went with the 1/2 pound of crab legs and headless shrimp boil with the buttery garlic sauce mixed with the crafty Cajun seasoning ($23) plus an bottle of cider ($5). The shrimp were wonderfully large (yes!) and slit down the back so they were cleaned up. I was worried about that. I really enjoyed the seasonings and dunked my potatoes and the meats into it. They provide gloves, a bib and alcohol wipes for the mess you will make... and it's going to happen but you won't care. The garlic will have its revenge on you later in the evening because there are chunks of it in the sauce. Glorious! read more

Not sure what's going on with this location. Visited today, upon entry was greeted with an overly fishy smell, literally as strong as a fish store. The restaurant was pretty empty but was seated in the bar area by the hostesses. When seated at the table noticed an employee sitting at the bar looking at their phone, turns out it was the server and bar tender. Shortly after we were greeted by that employee, a provided menus and water. While waiting on our order the employee literally went outside and got in a car blk Mercedes that pulled up, stayed outside of almost 15mins so we asked another server to take our order. Several employees not working and sitting around talking and playing on phones in the surrounding booths adjacent to customers (us), I find this highly unprofessional. Typically I enjoy every visit to this location and the service great. My latest vist was subpar and I was more excited to leave then eat. Management really needs to talk with employees on professionalism. read more

I don't think it was spicy and the flavoring is an oil based seasoning. I think the crabs, the mussels, corn, eggs, and potatoes took on the flavor best. The crawfish, shrimp, and clams would have benefited from being seeped in a water based seasoning instead of this oil based one. I'd go again. Just for the crabs and mussels. I so wanted to love it.....and I hate giving low ratings but....As soon as I walked in I was hit with the smell of old and musty...I'm thinking it was the carpet....let's try the food...we got the boil with a pound of crab legs, 1/2 pound of shrimp and 1 lb of sausage. My husband also ordered 1/2 dozen oysters. He like them as they were big and plump. The food was ok. Crab legs were cold. So why the low rating? We had to ask for cocktail sauce for the oysters (have never had to ask for that before) And we has to ask for...get this the tool to crack open the crap legs! Should that not be a given? We weren't the only ones asking...two more tables had to ask also. One good thing...they do give you plastic gloves to help keep your hands clean. Devoured 1 lb head on shrimp, 1/2 lb sausage, and corn and potatoes in Fire BOOM sauce. The servings were huge! The flavor was full bodied.
