The Nam Khao was amazing-highly recommend! We also got the Larb Chicken with rice and Khao soy and both were good. Will be back for more!

We've been coming to Noodle 21 for over 5 years now, and it continues to be one of our favorite spots! My husband introduced me to this place, and over time I found my perfect pho order -- #21 with thin egg noodles, no bean sprouts, and soup on the side. Back in August 2024, the original owner told us he was leaving and passing the business on to his partner. He was always so kind, always made time to chat with us, and greeted us warmly every visit. I was pregnant at the time, so sadly, he never got to meet our baby -- but we're happy to say we've kept coming back and still love it just as much as day one. The staff now is just as welcoming. They remember us, they remember our baby, and it truly feels like a place that values its regulars. The food is consistently delicious, and the atmosphere is comforting and familiar. We're so glad this spot continues to thrive, and we look forward to many more meals here as a family.

I'm glad I came back here again, for awhile I did not come here because of Covid. After returning from covid break, food and service was not the same and never came back. After hearing a new management taking over I gave this place another try. It did not disappoint, my fav noodle 21 is why I came back here. The Lao infusion added to the menu elevated this place. Ambiance - use to be cluttered but now it's all cleaned up. I will be coming back!

Let me just say WOW. Noodle 21 a true authentic Laos/Thai fusion restaurant located in San Pablo. The soup was so good! Didn't even needed to add any extra seasoning. The chili oil was also so good! Service was quick and friendly. It wasn't busy for a Saturday. Ambiance was quiet and chill. Restaurant was nice and bright. * Number 21 (House Speciality Rice Noodle) 5/5 * Khao Piak (Lao Chicken Noodle Soup) 5/5

I always get the vegan broth with veggies, thin pho noodles. As an app the fried tofu is my fav. And to-go the shrimp friend rice is the best I've had in a very long time. This is my favorite local noodle restaurant its always clean the the service…

My sister was visiting from LA, and we decided to stop by and try the Spicy Beef Pad Kee Mao. We both agreed that it was honestly one of the best Pad Kee Mao dishes either of us has had. The beef was flavorful, the noodles were cooked perfectly, and the spice level gave it a great kick without taking away from the flavor of the dish. Everything came together really well. It's always a good sign when you're still talking about a meal after you've finished eating, and this was definitely one of those times. My sister has plenty of food options down in LA, so for both of us to walk away equally impressed says a lot. It's also great seeing a longtime local restaurant refresh and rebrand while still putting out quality food. I'm looking forward to coming back and trying more of the Thai and Lao dishes on the menu. Easy 5/5. If you're a Pad Kee Mao fan, the Spicy Beef Pad Kee Mao is absolutely worth trying!

We arrived on a weekday and were among the few customers. There was a steady flow of folks getting takeout. The ambiance inside is dim, relaxed, with decor and art from the area. There's a decent amount of seating all around, for both pairs and groups. The service was kind and efficient; we were checked on occasionally. So the reason we came was for our love of noodles and other dishes. We got Nam Kao Tod and Pad See Ew. I found the Nam Kao good but wish there was a bit more protein. I've had it before and will say I've enjoyed it more at other locations. The Chicken Pad See Ew was fine, but the noodles were a bit mushier and cut short. The other ingredients were okay. I don't know if I'd order that again. Pakaoma Thai Lao Diner is a decent option if you're in the area, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. It's great that they have both Thai and Lao flavors and dishes. Find them in the shopping complex off San Pablo Ave. with street parking.

Food. You can really taste the love, effort. Aunties and uncles in the back definitely throwing it down. You know the Thai food is good when the spice level is the actual spice level (some places say medium when there's no spice at all, lol). The khao soi alone is worth the trip. We'd also recommend (quite literally anything else). We also loved the Thai Arnold Palmer. Service feels like home. Respectful, friendly, kind and prompt. Ambience is busy during lunch! As they should be. Though, very attentive. Had us reminiscing about our time in Thailand - and felt the same kind of love, same notes of flavor of food. Definitely not. The broth was a good balance of sweet, savory and spicy. What I wish I had more of was noodles. I felt that for the cost, it was a small amount (more like kids portion). For the boat noodles, I'd give it 5/10. We also order duck larb, Lao style papaya, sticky rice, bbq pork neck plate, and Thai ice tea. The duck larb was so good. Like 9/10. Not too fatty. I could eat that all day with sticky rice. The sticky rice was really good too! I am a picky sticky rice eater so I give it 10/10. The bbq pork neck plate was seasoned very well and my kids ate it up! Totally kid approved 9/10. As for the Lao style papaya, 2/10. Lao style papaya is my favorite style so when we had it here, I was greatly disappointed. It really just tasted like fish sauce. Nothing else. If it was closer it Hayward, I might go back for the duck larb but guys, the boat noodles was just alright. I know everyone has their own taste but to me, it wasn't worth it. Also! Our 5G didn't work there! Our kids couldn't watch anything to keep them busy so it was hard to have lunch with 2 kids. We didn't ask the restaurant if they had wifi mainly because they looked really busy. We didn't want to bother them. Just download some videos before you go . Honestly, if it was just me and my husband that went, it might have been a better experience. It's quite small and is more a great place for catching up with friends. The waitress was very nice and just left us to enjoy our food.
