These appetizers were served quickly and were hot and fresh. The crunch on the egg roll was divine! The chili oil that the wontons came in was quite spicy, so be prepared for that. Very yummy if you like some heat! The pork filling was well seasoned. We both ordered Mongolian Beef stir fried noodles for our entrees. These dishes were also served quickly. This entree comes with handmade noodles, green peppers, onions, flank steak, and scallions all sautéed together in a delicious sauce. The ingredients tasted fresh and each bite was filled with sweet, savory, spicy flavors. I ate the whole dish but it was enough to possibly split in half and save some for lunch the next day. We were SO excited to finally try out the handmade noodles in the area. The restaurant was clean and spacious. Service was absolutely top notch. We really enjoyed being able to watch the chefs make them by hand and hand-pull on those huge braids of noodles in the windows. These noods are not like those Lo Mein dishes that you get at a Chinese takeout restaurant. There's something about that perfect bite. It's got a nice chew to it. You can almost compare it to a nice al dente bite from a fancy pasta dish. But don't take my word for it. You just have to experience it for yourself. And oh goodness the meat. So tender. I've only been to Noodle Man once and that was their VB location. I remember that we loved Noodle Man-VB when it first opened, but for some reason we never came back. Then last year when I saw that they are opening a new location in Chesapeake I was very excited. We didn't go until last week for our anniversary. Ambiance: Their Chesapeake location is 2x bigger than their VB location. There's more tables and chairs. The restaurant is not heavily decorated but I love the ambiance because it's wide and open. In addition, it does not feel claustrophobic. Service: The staff was very friendly and helpful. Food: We ordered the Salt & Spicy Squid for our appetizer and Tomato and Beef Brisket Soup and Chicken with Garlic Sauce Stir-Fried Noodle for our entree. The Salt & Spicy Squid was very delicious, It doesn't';t have as much garlic as what i remembered from our previous visit from the VB location, but it was still flavorful. I still had some leftover garlic and I usually put them on my entree to add more flavor. My SO ordered the Tomato & Beef Brisket Soup and he loved it so much. I tried it and although I wasn't fan of the cilantro in it, I loved the how soft the beef was. You can tell that it was cooked well. It's flavorful as well. My SO ordered the Chicken with Garlic Sauce Stir-Fried Noodle before and I remembered how much I liked it more than the Mongolian Stir Fry Noodle. With that in mind, I made sure I ordered the Chicken with Garlic Sauce Stir-Fried Noodle. It was very very delicious. Probably one of the best noodle dish I ever had. It has fungus and bamboo shoots as its ingredients. I usually don't like eating those, but I made an exception for this entree because the entree was that delicious. I barely noticed them. We have asked for small tweaks for the little people and they've happily made the changes (extra veggies, no peppers etc.). Noodle man has an open kitchen. We love watching the noodles being hand pulled and all of the dishes being made through the glass. It never gets old seeing how quickly the dishes are made and how neat and tidy things are kept in the kitchen. There is ample parking and the staff goes above and beyond every single time. However, my parents love this location so much that they eat here everyday, and I never turn down spending time with them and tagged along. I was so shook! This location is great! First and foremost, their mushroom appetizer is my absolute favorite. The texture is so satisfying, thin and dense at the same time. The flavor has a slight bitterness that I really like. The noodles in all the dishes are so fresh since they're made in-house, and they're thick. All the added vegetables are so crisp, like they're picked straight from the garden. All the meat blends into the dishes instead of overpowering them, so each entree had components of a whole, rather than a big mess of stuff. This place is fantastic. Visited for lunch with a coworker and between us we got started with the fried chicken wings and crab/cheese wontons, then the Beef Noodle Soup. These chicken wings are some of the best I've ever had. The prep time on them is about 20 minutes, so I believe they are breaded fresh and fried to order. The result is a super juicy chicken wing, crispy fried exterior, and the salty chilly powder finish is just perfect. The fried wontons aren't real authentic but fried cheese is never a bad thing. I didn't get much crab flavor or texture through them, but they were good. The beef noodle soup is also fantastic. The clear broth is very flavorful and with the right amount of fat. The noodle texture is great, and the beef was thinly cut and very tender. All in all, very pleased with this lunch and I'm excited to go back and try more of their food. read more

I know one thing, I have never in my life eaten chicken wings that taste like theirs. The salt and spicy chicken were the best wings that I have ever had in my life. I wish I knew what the recipe was. I wouldn't make them at home but I just want to know what in the world they do!!!!!!! The waitresses are on top of it. The food is not too expensive. The power of Yelp is undefeated. I was in the area for a different restaurant but looked this up instead and was immediately convinced by the 40+ 5 star reviews. We tried the Mongolian beef stir fry (extra spicy), chicken fried rice and some crab cheese wontons. The wontons came out first and were delicious!!!! The wrapper was light and crispy, the filling along with crab and cream cheese also had some scallions which tasted fantastic. I also loved the stir fry so much. The beef was well seasoned, the vegetables were CRISPY and super fresh and of course the noodles were amazing. I do admit the picture of the fried rice doesn't look that appetizing as it is very "beighy" and looks boring but the rice was delicious. Well seasoned with big pieces of juicy chicken. I'll be stopping back here in a year when we're on our way back to OBX for our annual beach trip but until then I'll be dreaming about my stir fry read more

I've been to the location in Virginia Beach and this location seems to be much larger. The decor is pretty much the same with their light brick wooden tables and chairs. They still have the see through glass to which you can see them making the food and the making of their noodles made in house! Our server was great. She was friendly, fast and accurate when taking our orders. I ordered the tomato brisket noodle soup and it was every bit of how I remembered it in Virginia Beach.
