Kung Pow Chicken Noodle - husband really liked it! Kids Noodles with Chicken - he loved it. Mongolian Beef Stir Fried Noodles - i haven't gone to many noodles places, but this is probably the best noodles I've tasted. Sweet tea - meh...I usually like a little more "sweet" in my tea, but it wasn't bad either. Scissors to cut noodles was great for my 4 year old son..and my adult hubby :-) Nice size portions! The food is always of course fresh and flavorful. They make the boo noodles onsite. If you sit at the noodle bar, you get a front row to this amazing feature event! I have visited this location twice now and both times the food was super fresh and delicious. I really think if I lived closer, I would eat here at least three times a week... easily! The staff definitely exercises TLC once you enter until you leave. They exemplify patience and the service is on point and swift. I love the fact we can see the cooks as they are working... and this seems like it doesn't bother them at all. I guess they have nothing to hide. The restaurant is clean. My only wish, I wish the portions were larger. Perhaps I am reaching to far, but both times, I have left not feeling full. So I either suggest you try an appetizer and a meal or two. Or, try a meal and get one for later. Parking... not really an issue but it is located among other shops. Such as other eateries and walking distance from Walmart and Sam's Club. The worst part about the place is the service, especially if u go solo. Went here probably 5 times in 2 weeks, the food is amazing but the service is rough. Good luck getting a refill or even a drink in the first place. You'll sit for 15-20 min waiting on ur first one. They seem busy and understaffed which leads to poor service. Found this place after reading the reviews ! I lived in the area about 8 years ago and back then I wished this place existed ! The atmosphere was nice and clean and the sever was nice. The only thing is that when ordering the wonton noodle soup, I wished she told us that we could have the option to change the type of noodle and since it said Hong Kong style which is used with egg noodle, I assumed it would be for this place as well. Over all food was good but I did wish that I had my wonton noodle soup with egg noodle and that the broth was slightly stronger. This location is triple the size of the Virginia Beach location. The food was so so good!!! I ordered the chicken with garlic sauce. It was amazing. One of the things I didn't like and it made me uncomfortable was that some of the kitchen staff were not wearing masks..... But we risked it anyway. Other pandemic protocols were followed. PPS: Tomato/Beef Brisket Noodle Soup - Wow!! This is easily hands down my favorite soup here! It's really excellent! It sounds weird there are actual sliced tomatoes in it, but it works! Love the pickled cabbage in it as well, as it adds a nice vinegary bite to the rich brisket. Highly recommend getting this soup! Tip: ask for extra pickled cabbage if you like it. It's like $1 and you get a big side of it! Kids Noodles with Sauce - daughter liked this much more. We were glad we asked for the sauce on the side though. It's a very salty soy based sauce. Came here when I went to visit my friend in Suffolk. Honestly I was pleasantly surprised when I came here. I ordered the tomato and beef noodle soup which was great. I've been eagerly anticipating the Chesapeake Noodle Man's opening because it's so close to my office. The VB location is is excellent but it's such a small spot that it fills up quickly and is seemingly busy all the time. March 9th, 2020, was their grand opening and, much to my surprise, it wasn't busy when I stopped by for dinner. Upon walking in I was elated to see a big interior - about 21-22 tables/booths along with their familiar bar which can accommodate roughly 8-10 people. Of course, the bar looks into the kitchen and, as I expected, noodles were being lovingly made. Service was good to go and the spicy cucumber salad and seafood noodle soup were excellent. There are some expected first day issues (some menu items were not available yet and the FOH staff was working to get their teamwork in sync) but they will be running like a well-oiled machine in no time. This Noodle Man location will likely be my first choice between the 2, thanks to its close proximity to work. The food and service will only make it that much easier for multiple return visits. I've been to the Noodle Man location in VB several times but this was my first time dining at the Chesapeake one. I would say that this location has twice as much seating and feels more open as well. We came around 6PM on a Saturday and was seated immediately. I ordered my go to dishes which are the pork wontons in Chili Oil, fried squid and the spicy ground pork soup. The calamari here is the best and I can't get enough of it. My soup came out surprisingly fast. It wasn't as spicy as it normally is but still packed a good punch. My wife made a comment that her broth was just above luke warm and would have liked for the broth to be hotter. My other friends seemed to enjoy their meal as well. The service here is quick and they fill up your drinks before you even ask. The menu here has several additional items such as Boba drinks a couple of noodle soups that aren't offered at the other location. Noodle man is solid spot for some good noodle soups! read more

If you like the VB Noodle man, you will like the Chesapeake one. They have great food consistency between the two restaurants. The layouts are pretty similar with a bar surrounding the look-in kitchen and a wider area of tables and booths. If you're lucky you can watch the noodle maker whip some noodles up from scratch. He makes it look very easy! I like the salt and pepper line of stuff, they come with onion and jalapeno. There's chicken wings, pork chops, and shrimp. I've had the shrimp and they're great. I tried their chicken and shrimp eggrolls and they were really nice too. Nice flavor of meats inside. They started carrying some speciality milk teas that they mix there. I asked, and the "milk" is powder based and non-dairy. I had an almond milk tea that tasted really nice, bit sweet, but yummy. You can get it with tapioca. The noodle dishes are the money maker here, the fresh noodles will keep you coming back. They're longer and tastier! I have enjoyed the chicken and mushroom soup, mushu stir fry noodles, and the cold noodles. All are great. It's a sign of a good restaurant when you don't have to add anything to your food. It's been a few years since we've been to noodle man, but a first time to this location. Upon being seated, the waitress tells us her soda machine is busted. We look at the teas and my wife wanted a lychee tea, but they were also out of that. She was pretty disappointed, and ended up getting a water while I got a strawberry milk tea. The tea was pretty good. A little smaller than I anticipated, but not too sweet and had a really pleasant strawberry flavor. I got the crab cheese wonton as an appetizer, and these were spot on. They were honestly perfect. Fantastic crunch with an ample amount of an addictive filling. They're so good you may not want to share. I ordered B6. Hongkong Style Wonton Noodle Soup (sans shrimp). The overall soup was great. The wontons were delicious, the broth was flavorful and the toppings were all presented well.
