Second time here. The pork wontons in chili oil was way too hot and I wasn't able to enjoy it. The stir fried Mongolia noodles were amazing though! Service was also fast!

My husband works down in that area and offered to bring home takeout for me and it was yummy! I tried the Mushu chicken with no mushrooms and onions instead. The order was correct and the container was packed to the top with delicious food! It had a good flavor and I am looking forward to trying out more of their dishes! Very good noodles! My husband ordered it and picked it up so I can't speak for the inside and he said it didn't take too long for the order to be ready.

First experience here, our waitress was very quick and kept our drinks filled the entire evening. They had two tv's above the counter area with some food shows on, one with a mini cooking show with everything being tiny but fully edible. It caught our attention for most of our dinner lol. The kids chicken noodle soup its huge! So may be able to split between two littles. I got the bugolgi and its was alright, not bad but not something I would get here again, just wasn't a strong flavor. Same with the salt and spicy wings, they were juicy and a good crunch but no spice at all, even with the jalapeños on top, it didnt really have that kick I would have expected. Even with the place being pretty busy it wasn't that loud inside which was nice to be able to chat at the table. In all I would give a 4.5 just think some of the flavors were lacking tonight but nothing was bad.

Good service and it is a larger restaurant than the virginia beach location. I got C3 mongolian beef stir-fried noodle and added broccoli. I know to add veggies from going to the VA Beach location. I thought it was a little too salty. I would like it better with less sauce just because the sauce was so salty. My husband got B2 Tomato/Beef brisket noodle soup. That was perfect and delicious. We both loved A5 salt & spicy pork chop. When they bring it you can ask for a dipping sauce. I like that so much better because it adds a sweetness to the salty spice. It is a nice restaurant but Even with the smaller VA Beach location. The VA Beach restaurants food seems to be just a little better.

Great service!! Went in for lunch around 12:20'and was out by 1pm.... Perfect for the lunch crowd and people that work close by. First time here.. Went with the Mongolian Beef Noodles.... It was great, flavorful. The sauce was not that spicy, and the noodles were perfectly cooked.. My only negative with this dish is that the noodles were too long.. so you spend a lot of time spinning your fork to get the noodles to ball up on the fork.. and that left little room to get some beef or veggies.. so what happens is you eat all the noodles and then you are left with beef and onions in a sauce with no noodles. Not a bad thing, perhaps if the noodles were shorter it would have been easier to get beef, noodles, and veggies all at once onto your fork.. Overall.. loved the speed of the restaurant. The flavors were great.. and I will definitely be back!!

Try out something new with hubby during our self care day and we treated ourselves to this noodle spot where everything is made fresh. The waitress very nice and very attentive to make sure we were enjoying ourselves and the atmosphere is more relaxed and comfortable for both solo,couple and group. I got the tomato and beef noodle soups which reminded me of a traditional pho which was nice and light and the broth had that warm beef flavor with tomato adding that acidic taste to balance out the meat and soup the beef was very good it was just a little bit of tough for me to eat but it was delicious. And the noodles are made hand made and fresh so all my noodles lover this place is for you and ramen lovers. I also tried the salt and spicy crispy chicken the waiter was informative of getting us a heads up with certain things and I also appreciate that she also said for chicken there a 15 minute wait on it because it's made fresh out and not made prior which was worth the wait the chicken was nice and crispy with aftertaste of salt to cut down the richness of the chicken and it was very juicy not dry at all.

First Asian restaurant we've tried in Chesapeake, and while the presentation and portions were good, the flavors didn't quite match up. The tomato brisket noodle soup was the most flavorful of what we ordered--the noodles and meat were a perfect ratio, though the broth could've used more depth. Same with the wonton noddle soup. The salt and spicy chicken was juicy and enjoyable, but a little more seasoning would've really brought it to life. Restaurant was clean with plenty of seating and staff was nice and quick. Also, price point for the menu items were reasonable.

Nice Mongolian Steak noodles. May have seemed a bit greasy but it sure was good. Good crab wonton. Enjoyable and rather inexpensive.

I was very hesitant to eat here as I have had many bad experiences with Chinese food in Virginia from awhile ago. Times have changed and this restaurant is legit! They make their own noodles fresh right there in front of you! The soup is perfectly flavored and reminds me of good soup noodle places that are found in Hawaii and in Las Vegas. The wait staff is all friendly, young, pretty girls and they are hustling around trying to take care of dine in customers and take out customers alike. The restaurant was full when I arrived so I was happy I could sit at the counter so I didn't need to wait long for my food. The other bonus was that I could watch the kitchen make the noodles fresh! The waitress took my order and got my water. I ordered the salt and spicy pork chop and the beef and tomato noodle soup. The appetizer came out first and it was pretty good. I would have liked a little more pepper on the dish but it was good. The beef and tomato noodle soup was also very good and I may have drank a little too much of the soup as it was really good and I had to make sure I got all my noodles and onions. The restaurant itself is quite large with booths, open tables, and counter seating. The restaurant was full when I arrived, while I was there, and when I left. I feel the restaurant is really popular in the area. Overall, it was a very nice dining experience. The price was a little high but for the quality of service and food, I think it was worth it. I hope to come again before I return home to Hawaii.

What's better than soup on a cold day?!! Came for dinner with my husband. It wasn't too crowded, so we were seated quickly. I wanted the salt and spicy wings but they were out. So we got the chicken and shrimp egg rolls and crab cheese wontons . The spiders were ok. I got the hot and spicy soup which was amazing!! The broth was my favorite part! My husband asked if he could get that soup but with beef and was told no. So he got the tomato beef brisket soup with chili oil. He said the soup was over good. I tasted the broth, it had a hint of sweeteners to it which I liked. The brisket was pretty tender too. Definitely will be back for more of that spicy soup!!

The food and service were still wonderful, brought my family to try it with me this time. They really liked the Mongolian Beef Stir-fry noodle, spicy cucumber and chicken the most. When we entered and waiting you could tell they were busy but the ladies kept their cool as they cleaned the tables, took Togo orders, and servicing others. Our waitress kept our waters filled but this was after I had to ask her to stop at our table, but after that she kept them full. Sadly I believe they forgot or skipped over a few of our dishes because 3 appetizers did not come out until she realized we did not have them yet and we were already near finishing our main. She didn't say anything to us but I watched her rush to a woman at the bar, no more than 5 mins later we had the missing dishes. Besides this hiccup we had a pleasant visit.

I am hesitant in leaving this review because I love Noodle Man. Been a faithful customer starting with the VB location then of course this Chesapeake location . But got to leave some constructive feedback so I have reasons to come back. Today I came during restaurant week. I thought the social media posts indicated $15 deal but when we got to the restaurant it was $25. It wasn't worth the deal. So I ordered my go to - tomato brisket noodle soup. Today the broth wasn't as rich and hearty. The beef smelled a little funny like 2 to 3 day old. There was way too much noodle to beef ratio. Sorely disappointed.

Yummmmm! Noodle Man is always a good choice. Got to check out the Chesapeake location since we were in the area. From the outside, the spot doesn't look too big however when you step inside, it's considerably larger than the VB location. We ordered to go because of COVID and I can 100% say that the quality of the food is still phenomenal. We ordered the pork wontons in chili oil, B2 and B3 for our main. The pork wontons are always a good choice, I got my B2 noodles spicy this time around and it was so good. Chock full of veggies, meat, noodles, and flavor. This will be my go to. My husband ordered B3 and said the soup was so good, he cleaned out his bowl. I'd definitely come back to order for pick up, but still hesitant about sitting indoors. Everyone was wearing a mask thank goodness but -1 star for not having outdoor seating. They have ample parking lot space that I feel can accommodate a tent and a couple tables. read more

This place is over rated if your looking for some good old fashion ramen idont recommend my husband ordered the sea food ramen it was basically flavorless I ordered the sweet and sour potato ramen it was a very acquired taste if you like oil flavor . We are here for a couple times. The waitress' attitudes change from time to time. Sometimes they are very nice, another time they slam the food on your table... The noodles are not the most authentic from Lanzhou, more because of the skill limitation, but for the portion, I would recommend it as the first step to the northwestern Chinese cuisine. read more

You can watch how noodles are made over the glass. This authentic Noodle Restaurant was opened in March but soon after that Corvid-19 closure came. It was unfortunate for second Restraunt after first independence location. Menu is little bid different but all noodle menus are same. I love any noodles soup or stir fried but I like wanton noodles are best. read more

This location just opened so I had to come visit before word got out. I had previously dined at their original location but that one is too busy at lunch time. I dined on the Mongolian beef stir fry entree and everything was great. The noodles and veggies tasted very fresh. I even added an egg to my order which paired well with it. I hope to revisit this location in the future as long as it doesn't get too busy in there. read more

Wow! Hand made noodles right in front of your eyes! What a treat! We were heading to another restaurant and found them closed,so we checked out Mr. Noodle. We shared the most delicious wood ear mushroom salad while we waited for our noodle soup. We saw the chef pulling and twisting noodles that ended up in our soup. They had to be two feet long and tasted out of this world. I enjoyed the seafood soup and will definitely be back for more! The service was great, and I enjoyed the beer menu. If you are an Asian noodles aficionado, this place must be on your list. read more

I love this place. The fact they pack there to go meals separately is awesome nothing gets soggy. Have ordered delivery the grubhub and its still hot when I get it. Great food and experience. Noodle Man is my family's go-to spot when we want something tasty. The fresh noodles, quality meat, and great service really put this place above the rest. The salty fried shrimp appetizer is one of the best bites I've had in a while, and the Mongolian beef entree is one of our favorites. I can guarantee you won't just go to this place once. Was craving noodles and was trying to decide between Pho, Mogolian BBQ or Hibachi. Decided to try something new and read reviews on this place so decided to give it a try. I have to say, the service was good and the food didn't take long to prepare (take out). Stayed hot until I got home and WOW! So much flavor in everything we ordered. We got takeout here twice and have to say I'm impressed! The mongolian beef noodles are a favorite with my family, though be warned- that one chili pepper sign MEANS BUSINESS. They're spicy as heck so go with none to be safe. The second time I ordered the chili wontons in oil, the dumplings, the mongolian beef and the beef fried rice. Beef fried rice is VERY good- flavorful, rice is soft, beef is tender- it's not like one of your worser takeout restaurants kind of fried rice. The piece de resistance were the dumplings and wontons- holy smokes I don't know what they put into the dumplings but that stuff slaps hard. The meat was SO. GOOD! And the chili wontons chili oil sauce was almost a tad bit sweet to complement the juicy gingery shrimpy wonton filling. Oh my god I'm so ordering from here every chance I get from now on. read more

Second time at Noodle Man (first visit was to the equally good Virginia Beach location). Man, this place is good. The prices are extremely fair and the portions are large, even for the appetizers. The salt and spicy squid and the beef pancake are fantastic. The chili wontons could have had a little more sauce but the wontons themselves were very good and had a lot of filling. We also tried the fried rice, which is basic but very tasty. The real star here of course is the noodles. Our favorite two are the Mongolian beef stir-fry and the jalapeno chicken stir-fry. (Haven't tried the soups.) The noodle stir-fries are kind of like lo mein, but *much* better! The noodles are handmade fresh, and are springy, chewy, perfectly cooked. The meat is also tender and they give you a lot. I could eat here every day! read more

I must be missing something...I had such great expectations based on the Yelp reviews and I was sooo disappointed . I ordered cold chicken noodles, veg noodles add chicken, dumplings, veg spring rolls And teriyaki shrimp. Without exception food was just flavorless - not even the teriyaki shrimp had flavor and the dumpling dipping sauce tasted Like brown water .... food quality was terrific - flavors bland and boring - sorry but true and a couple packets of soy sauce and "duck" sauce did not make the difference - he'd needs to work on flavor profile read more

4/5 because I personally would prefer less peppers in my dish which did make it pretty spicy. Secondly the beef was a little bland. No major complaints and the service was good. Sweet tea was just right. read more

We ordered take-out yesterday, and it was all incredible! My wife got the Mongolian Beef, the kids got the Chicken Fried Rice, and I got the Chicken in Garlic Sauce. We also ordered some Crab And Cheese Wontons and Teriyaki Shrimp. The noodles were cooked and seasoned perfectly. Honestly some of the best I've ever had. Everything tasted fresh and was cooked well. We haven't had too much success with Chinese restaurants in this area, so it was nice to find something that was actually satisfying. read more

Service was great. The noodles were bouncy and delicious. The soup broths were so so, but they had chili oil, soy sauce, and vinegar to jazz it up. They didn't have any Boba teas yet, but I look forward to next time. read more

Completely disappointed in the quality and caliber of service I rd dives on an unusually busy night at the Chesapeake location. Places a call in order and told it would be 25-30 mins. Waited in my car 30 mins. Then went inside to pickup my order only to wait another 30 mins then be told that it would be another 20-30mins. This was all while standing there seeing people be seated and place an order and receive their order within the amount of time that I waited... needless to say there was no remorse on behalf of the wait staff that I spoke with... please believe that I was fuming!! Probably won't ever visit this spot again. read more

We both went with a hot, spicy soup base which was perfect for warming up on a cold day. I threw in broccoli, mushrooms, ribeye, and noodles. The best part is watching everything cook right in front of you and then pulling it out when it's just right. The broth soaks up all those flavors and gets even richer as you go. The flavors were amazing! Really bold and satisfying. The spicy broth was exactly what I needed, and everything we added came out perfectly cooked and delicious. I've visited this restaurant multiple times and have always enjoyed the food, which is why this visit was a bit disappointing. The spicy noodles were just okay this time--they seemed to be missing the usual spice and seasoning that I've come to expect. It did appear to be a busy day, so I understand things can get a bit off during peak times, but consistency is important and something I've always appreciated here. I do want to highlight the excellent customer service, though. The woman assisting us was very kind and attentive--when I accidentally dropped my cards, she immediately helped pick them up without hesitation, which I truly appreciated. I'm hoping this was just an off day, as I've had great experiences here before and would love to see the food quality return to its usual standard. read more

My dad and I are big fans of spicy food, and Noodle Man did not disappoint! The Hot and Spicy Noodle Soup was absolutely amazing! It was packed with flavor and just the right amount of heat. The wontons in chili oil were also delicious, but that noodle soup really stole the show. We were among the first to arrive for lunch, and the experience was great from the start. The staff was super friendly and made us feel welcome. It was also really fun to watch the team hand-pulling noodles in the kitchen..such a cool touch that added to the whole vibe.
