Oh Noodle Man. How is it that I like none of the actual noodle dishes but love all of your appetizers and other stuff?! I have been to the VB location a few years ago and didn't like anything I had ordered. I was hoping this time would be different. The salt and pepper shrimp and such was delicious. As was the cucumber salad and everything. But the actual noodles itself? Overpowering with star anise and Szechuan peppers-- so much so I tasted nothing else and breathing foul odors for the next few days I swear. The potato noodles were hard to chew and easily could become a choking hazard. The service was fast and friendly despite the busy dinner hours. The restaurant had plenty of seats inside and the orders became available fast. Very little to no wait without feeling rushed. Like my dining companion said, everything but the noodles are good here. I should have heeded the warning. Parking is free and most major cards accepted. Unless a friend insists on going, this is not a must visit spot for me. I certainly wouldn't recommend it to friends and family but hey. To each their own.

Great noodle place! The spicy wontons were very good but the broth could be better 4/5. Tomato/beef noodle was great with a great broth 5/5. Service was quick. Plenty of TV's on the wall.

My husband works down in that area and offered to bring home takeout for me and it was yummy! I tried the Mushu chicken with no mushrooms and onions instead. The order was correct and the container was packed to the top with delicious food! It had a good flavor and I am looking forward to trying out more of their dishes! Very good noodles! My husband ordered it and picked it up so I can't speak for the inside and he said it didn't take too long for the order to be ready.

Second time here. The pork wontons in chili oil was way too hot and I wasn't able to enjoy it. The stir fried Mongolia noodles were amazing though! Service was also fast!

Good service and it is a larger restaurant than the virginia beach location. I got C3 mongolian beef stir-fried noodle and added broccoli. I know to add veggies from going to the VA Beach location. I thought it was a little too salty. I would like it better with less sauce just because the sauce was so salty. My husband got B2 Tomato/Beef brisket noodle soup. That was perfect and delicious. We both loved A5 salt & spicy pork chop. When they bring it you can ask for a dipping sauce. I like that so much better because it adds a sweetness to the salty spice. It is a nice restaurant but Even with the smaller VA Beach location. The VA Beach restaurants food seems to be just a little better.

Went early (4 PM) specifically to beat the dinner rush and enjoy a relaxed meal. Started with a drink and ordered the Fried Salt and Spicy Wings as an appetizer, planning to take my time deciding on an entree. Unfortunately, "taking my time" wasn't really an option -- my server came back twice while I was still reading the menu to ask for my entree order. I get wanting to be attentive, but it felt more like being rushed, especially since the restaurant was nowhere near full (only 4 tables total, 2 servers). I ended up ordering the Shredded Chicken with Garlic Sauce, which tasted great. But the entree came out first, and I was already halfway through it by the time my wings finally arrived. I understand fried wings take a bit to cook, so I don't fault the kitchen for that -- but I do think the server/kitchen should have paced the order better, since sending the entree out first defeated the whole point of ordering an appetizer to start. On top of the timing, the wings themselves were disappointing -- despite being called "Salt and Spicy," they lacked seasoning across the board. For a dish built around flavor in the name, that was a letdown. To finish it off, once the food was on the table, my server never checked in -- not once, despite having only two tables the entire time I was there. Overall: the entree was genuinely good, but the underseasoned wings, backwards pacing, and lack of any follow-up really brought down the experience. For a slow period with a light table count, I expected better-managed timing and more attentiveness.

Great service!! Went in for lunch around 12:20'and was out by 1pm.... Perfect for the lunch crowd and people that work close by. First time here.. Went with the Mongolian Beef Noodles.... It was great, flavorful. The sauce was not that spicy, and the noodles were perfectly cooked.. My only negative with this dish is that the noodles were too long.. so you spend a lot of time spinning your fork to get the noodles to ball up on the fork.. and that left little room to get some beef or veggies.. so what happens is you eat all the noodles and then you are left with beef and onions in a sauce with no noodles. Not a bad thing, perhaps if the noodles were shorter it would have been easier to get beef, noodles, and veggies all at once onto your fork.. Overall.. loved the speed of the restaurant. The flavors were great.. and I will definitely be back!!

First experience here, our waitress was very quick and kept our drinks filled the entire evening. They had two tv's above the counter area with some food shows on, one with a mini cooking show with everything being tiny but fully edible. It caught our attention for most of our dinner lol. The kids chicken noodle soup its huge! So may be able to split between two littles. I got the bugolgi and its was alright, not bad but not something I would get here again, just wasn't a strong flavor. Same with the salt and spicy wings, they were juicy and a good crunch but no spice at all, even with the jalapeños on top, it didnt really have that kick I would have expected. Even with the place being pretty busy it wasn't that loud inside which was nice to be able to chat at the table. In all I would give a 4.5 just think some of the flavors were lacking tonight but nothing was bad.

Receipt is included Best Chinese food spot, specifically Sam's Circle since they have the Shaanxi Knife Sliced Noodle Soup 5/5 - Shaanxi Knife Sliced Noodle Soup + Chicken with Garlic Sauce Stir-Fried Noodle - The 1st item's noodles seems like it had a change since they weren't as firm and thick as usual. The 2nd item's noodles weren't too much. But there's a lot of chicken on both noodle items so it's easily worth 3/5 - Pork Wonton with Chili Oil - Soft texture with a non-spicy chili oil

Try out something new with hubby during our self care day and we treated ourselves to this noodle spot where everything is made fresh. The waitress very nice and very attentive to make sure we were enjoying ourselves and the atmosphere is more relaxed and comfortable for both solo, couple and group. I got the tomato and beef noodle soups which reminded me of a traditional pho which was nice and light and the broth had that warm beef flavor with tomato adding that acidic taste to balance out the meat and soup the beef was very good it was just a little bit of tough for me to eat but it was delicious. And the noodles are made hand made and fresh so all my noodles lover this place is for you and ramen lovers. I also tried the salt and spicy crispy chicken the waiter was informative of getting us a heads up with certain things and I also appreciate that she also said for chicken there a 15 minute wait on it because it's made fresh out and not made prior which was worth the wait the chicken was nice and crispy with aftertaste of salt to cut down the richness of the chicken and it was very juicy not dry at all.

First Asian restaurant we've tried in Chesapeake, and while the presentation and portions were good, the flavors didn't quite match up. The tomato brisket noodle soup was the most flavorful of what we ordered--the noodles and meat were a perfect ratio, though the broth could've used more depth. Same with the wonton noddle soup. The salt and spicy chicken was juicy and enjoyable, but a little more seasoning would've really brought it to life. Restaurant was clean with plenty of seating and staff was nice and quick. Also, price point for the menu items were reasonable.

What's better than soup on a cold day?!! Came for dinner with my husband. It wasn't too crowded, so we were seated quickly. I wanted the salt and spicy wings but they were out. So we got the chicken and shrimp egg rolls and crab cheese wontons . The spiders were ok. I got the hot and spicy soup which was amazing!! The broth was my favorite part! My husband asked if he could get that soup but with beef and was told no. So he got the tomato beef brisket soup with chili oil. He said the soup was over good. I tasted the broth, it had a hint of sweeteners to it which I liked. The brisket was pretty tender too. Definitely will be back for more of that spicy soup!!

Are vegetable soups and stir fry made with anything non veg, like chicken broth or fish sauce?

I had called them up (I'm vegan), asking if their noodles had egg or if the sauce had fish sauce. They confirmed it doesn't! Then I mentioned I was asking since I'm vegan and they only mentioned about cross contamination. I order the stir fry…

The restaurant was decorated cute but many tables needed to be cleaned so it didn't look very tidy upon entering the restaurant. Neither of us have been before so we needed explanations on how to order. I was very turned off because there was 1 iPad to order from and so we ordered one at a time. Keep in mind it was our first time and we really didn't get a clear explanation of what to do.. thank God we are actually tech literate so we figured it out on our own. It literally took seconds to get the food brought out to us which was good because it was about 10-15 minutes difference between our food coming out. Everything was okay. Just okay. They have a lot of toppings and sauce at the condiments bar up front but it was a bit disorganized and each person in front of us took a while before the person behind them. You end up paying like $36 a person for all you can eat but there's a lot more meats and add ons that cost extra so I'm not sure what they call it that. I will have to stick with my first impression of Hot Pots and stay away. I'm glad I tried them out but will probably not be coming back.
