As for the food - I do give it a 4 star because everything was hot and filling except for the wonton noodle soup that I ordered. The wontons were great but just expected more flavor in the broth. I've passed Noodle+ multiple times but never really had a real desire to try it out. I'm not sure why, probably because noodles and other carb-centric dishes are not in my normal diet. However, since it was New Years Eve my colleagues and I decided to stray from the norm and order something different for lunch. I thought this would be a good opportunity to try Noodle+ out and check it off my list of White Plains eateries to try. Noodle+ is located in downtown WP on the first floor of a mixed retail/office building. The menu has what one would expect from an Asian restaurant but focusing on Pad Thai, stir fried noodles, and noodle soups. I had to try a noodle dish, so I chose the drunken noodles. Additionally, we decided to split some pork soup dumplings and shrimp rolls. The shrimp rolls were good - they were crispy, neat, and full of flavor. The soup dumplings were pretty good, however I wouldn't order them out again because they really can't transport - by the time we got them most of them had broken and sitting in a pool of broth. The drunken noodles were not my favorite. Despite having a good amount of heat, the noodles lacked any other flavor and were kind of congealed. This may be the nature of drunken noodles, but still that lack of flavor was a turn off. Overall, just okay - I'm still curious to try their noodle soups and other dishes since they did have some good moments, but I'm not running back here. With the saturation of Asian restaurants in White Plains, you can do better. read more

But they're not very accommodating: the restaurant is very cold and the staff, though polite, does not seem keen to move you to a warmer table or to turn the heat up, so you feel rushed. We like the food, but don't visit as often as we could because of this: it makes the food cold fast. The radiators and a portable heater weren't on. They get a lot of delivery business so they probably don't feel too much urge to accommodate dine in. And while we understand COVID has resulted in limited dine in, this excuse is being abused these days: not that this restaurant said anything to this effect - but it's the backdrop we're working with (anyone noticed how many places close very early now, 'because COVID'?), etc. But their roles and noodles are good. read more

Went for lunch with a few of my co-workers, the place have outside area but unfortunately it was raining that day for that reason we sat inside. We share a order of Shrimp Roll and Dumplings. The Shrimp Roll is a deep-fried rolls stuffed with shrimp and served with sweet chili sauce​. They were really, really good. Chicken & Vegetable Dumplings : Filled with a mixture of ground chicken, vegetable, scallion and ginger, served with a special dipping sauce for dipping. I love dumplings, I just can eat 20 of them. For my entree I order from the lunch special for 8.95 that include: One drink: Bottle of water or soda or Thai ice tea One Small dish: 2 Spring rolls or 2 fried dumplings or 2 shumais or 1 curry puff One entrée: Chicken or Beef or Tofu & Vegetable. Space is tight at Noodle+. It's not a place for cozy chit chat. It's even tighter at peak hours on the weekends at ~6-7pm, with customers standing around waiting for an empty table all the while staring at you. Reasonably priced eats ~$10 for a large entree. Noodle+ sways towards serving Thai and Chinese dishes. Poor service. For a small place with 6-8 tables, the 3 staff available to handle customers are not enough at peak evening hours. The constant phone ringing is an annoyance- either lower the volume or add more staff to avoid hanging calls. There's also attitude among the staff. The oldest lady among their team was particularly unfriendly- challenging a customer upon an issue of confusion and snapping back at 2 students that they can't have their check before their dessert arrived. Her favorite phrase is 'hold one one minute.' No one among their service team is smiling and a general aura of 'I hate my job' lingers around them. Recs: +xiao long bao or crab xiao long bao. Their skin is perfectly thick and the soup is decently flavored. ~$6 as an appetizer, it's a steal given the amount of labor it takes to make them. Their plastic cups holding the vinegar dip annoys me though- money could be saved if they invested on ceramic holders from the beginning. +Roast Duck and Shrimp Wonton Soup- if you want something light Authentic? No. You have better bets with spices and flavoring in Queens or Flushing, but Noodle+ is decent enough in White Plains. read more

I'm a little torn about how to review this place. Downtown White Plains doesn't have many noodle/Thai places, so if you compare Noodle+ to something like Reka's, this place wins. Putting location aside, I would say this was average fare. Spring Rolls - really really bland. They were served piping hot, but after biting into the crispy roll there was nothing amazing inside! The dish came with very little dipping sauce, which was also bland. Mushroom Dumplings - these steamed dumplings were pretty good. They were generously filled with mushrooms and veggies and came with a soy sauce. Drunken Noodles w/Tofu and veggies - where was the tofu? I counted 2.5 pieces. This dish was extremely oily and lacked much flavor. Some of the noodles looked like they were either overcooked or dry and clumping together. We had asked for the dish to be medium spicy, but it was more like mild. My husband liked this better than I did. Service - scattered and disorganized. Everyone was nice, but it was a little chaotic. Food was brought out as it was cooked. So we got our entree first, then our appetizers...weird? Ambiance/Environment - really tiny place. The only seats available when we got there was by the register & kitchen, which obviously wasn't ideal. Overall, given it's location I may come back to try something else even though this place did not rock my world. I really wish downtown WP had more amazing Thai places. read more

My friends and I went to Noodle Plus last Saturday night. The place looked clean and cozy. We got a big table to ourself which was nice. A server offered us the special dishes for summer. So we ended up with the whole fried fish topped with mango salad, it was DELICIOUS!! They also had more sauce on the side for us to put on. The sauce was also good, I even packed it home. And we got Shrimp Tamarind, it came with crispy noodles and crispy JUMBO shrimp! It was impressive. The tamarind sauce was very tasty, and I dipped the shrimp in to it. It was good combination. We really enjoyed our dinner, the food was delightful, the servers were attentive and the price was reasonable. We'll definitely visit Noodle Plus again soon. read more

Asian fusion noodles is the best way to describe this establishment. I don't mean it as a compliment but rather to frame the flavors of this restaurant. I should have seen it coming as soon as I looked at the menu, there's just way too many items. How could a restaurant have mastered the capacity to artfully switch between japanese, chinese, thai and Vietnamese all while capturing the essence of all the various flavors? The answer is that they haven't quite nailed it yet. I went here as a group of 4 during Father's Day weekend. We ordered four soup noodle dishes, golden curry puffs and pork soup dumplings (pictures posted). To be fair, every picture actually looks rrally appetizing. Every dish we tried had a remarkable amount of Chinese flavor, as if they were buying their ingredients frozen from a Chinese grocery store in Chinatown. The waitress was nice but I wasn't sure she was listening to me at all. As she repeated my order back to me, she added an extra item from nowhere. Then, when only 3 soups came back, I asked where my fourth soup was. She didn't even apologize for forgetting it and told me it would be another 5 minutes. The Golden curry puffs reminded me of an egg roll that they stuffed some curry powder into. It was the same with the Kao Soi. I really wanted to like the Pho but the only redeeming part was the broth. Unfortunately, as we were finishing, the waitresses really tried to push us out. It's a small place, however has lots of space so you don't feel like you're on top of each other. Great date night to be honest. Service: Great service. Never really waiting for too long. It honestly could feed a family of four!! We also ordered the pad Thai and it was a pretty good version. Stopped for lunch today and sat at outdoor table. Had the fried rice w/chicken lunch special. First you get spring roll or 2 pork potstickers and very small salad. The potstickers are good and crispy. The salad is really just lettuce with mild peanut dressing. The fried rice is really good though it has a lot of large onion chunks in it. Next time I would ask for no onions. My friend had chicken pad Thai lunch special which is also very good. I've also had Singapore Mai Fun here which was really good but it's not on the lunch menu sadly. Anyway, $9 for lunch is a great deal. It's a perfect size portion for me. A man might want a little more. Think I'm gonna start driving over here for lunch once in awhile while it's nice out. read more

Dont get me wrong .. the food was amazing. I absolutely love this place for soups and dumplings. However, the service I received was less than adequate. My server did not have proper knowledge of the Menu. ( ok maybe she is new) She repeatedly walked away as I tried to order.(maybe she had to abruptly attend to other tables). Then she repeatedly interrupted my date by telling me something is wrong with my card. ( maybe it declined?) No! She is furious because she did not receive a tip. EXCELLENT This is a gourmet place - not your usual greasy Chinese/Asian take out. It IS as good as it gets. I had my first experience with Noodle+ yesterday, and I have to say it's rare to get great, quality food at such a fantastic price. The atmosphere was what first got me, a modern interior that's equipped for quick, on-the-go dining. I wasn't burdened with the formalities of eating at a sit-down restaurant, which would have been inconvenient because I had somewhere to be in an hour. Our waitress was friendly, efficient, and present at the drop of a dime - couldn't have asked for a better server! The menu is pretty extensive, but basic enough that you can easily decide what you want. It's based around noodles (obviously) and anything that you get will pretty much leave you satisfied. I'd recommend getting the pan-fried scallion pancakes (6 for $3.95) and any of the noodle soup bowls - it's basically like getting a plated meal in the form of a noodle soup! It definitely filled me up. My friend and I ended up getting an appetizer, two big meals and two drinks and only ended up paying about $30 collectively. If you're in the mood for some Asian fusion and want a quick meal that leaves you feeling satisfied, Noodle+ is definitely a place you should check out. read more

Everything on the menu looked delicious. I enjoyed the fact that they had pictures of all the food in the menu. This made choosing a dish a lot easier. I ended up ordering the chicken pad see eew. It came with chicken, noodles, broccoli, baby corn, and other greens marinated in a sweet soy sauce. It was great. I also ordered chicken and vegetable dumpling which were also very good. My girlfriend got the drunken noodles. If you like a spicy kick to your food you will definitely enjoy this. Overall, Noodle+ was a great choice. HAND-MADE dumplings, fresh noodles, and boba (e.g. "bubble" tea). Asian people actually frequent this restaurant, so you know it has to be good. Dumplings: Mushroom and Veggie dumplings ($5.95)--delicious! Plenty of filling which consists of mushrooms, leeks, and bean sprouts (I think?). They're very juicy and the wrapper is a perfect thickness. Also the wrapper is green--something about the green color just makes them seem tastier and healthier. Xiao Long Bao ($5.50)--the difference between this dumpling and other dumplings is that this one has soup inside, which generally makes it tastier. These are actually rather difficult to find as they are not sold everywhere, so I was ecstatic when I saw this on the menu. I got full from the Mushroom and Veggie dumplings, so I didn't order this, but I definitely will on my next trip out there. Noodles: Duck and Shrimp Wonton Noodle Soup ($10.95)--really good! The duck gives a really nice flavor to the broth. The shrimp wontons are really tasty, with relatively large chunks of shrimp inside; the wrappers on these are really thin, so the wonton absorbs the soup nicely and makes for flavorful bites. Boba milk tea ("bubble" tea) ($3.50 for a medium): Just in case you didn't know, "bubble" is used in the East Coast in place of "boba" which is used in the West Coast. The jasmine milk tea had a great flavor to it--just the right amount of tea. The Oolong milk tea is more of a sweet milk, with less of a tea flavor. Both were more on the milky side, but still good. The ratio of boba to milk tea is not very good, but I only have West Coast places to compare it to, so I'm not sure if that's something that's standard on the East Coast. The great thing about the milk tea here is that they have 6 different things to put in the tea: "bubble", aloe, mango, lychee, coffee jelly, and caramel jelly. --UPDATE: had their boba a few times after my initial visit, and each of these times, it was not good--old/stale and not flavorful...will no longer order boba from here. A few cons: 1. The restroom, which is shared with the office building, is disgusting, not maintained, and does not fit in with the nice office building and clean restaurant. 2. Since they make everything fresh (which is a good thing), they seem to tend to run out of menu items (bad thing). 3. Some of their menu items are pricey, specifically including the Pho. Maybe it's because I'm used to West Coast pricing on good asian food, but the Pho here was $9 or $10. read more
