Called the restaurant to order 2 dinner combos. We were told to come in 20 minutes, but arrived within 10 minutes via car. We were home within 3 minutes and opened the containers. NONE of the FOOD WE ordered was hot. The egg roll was warm and mushy. The chicken and broccoli was tasteless with tough chicken and the light beige sauce had to much corn starch. The General Tso chicken was warm and overcooked. The fried rice was warm to cold. I don't understand if you're waiting for the food to be cooked and your in the restaurant how do you serve food that isn't hot to your customers. Sauces shouldn't be gelantinousness because the cook added too much corn starch. This is the second time in the last month I ordered take out and this happened. Time to find another restaurant!!! read more

My go to spot for Chinese takeout. They have pretty decent food and when you need it delivered it's there right away.

The food is good but you can't eat there without the workers kids harassing you while you wait for your food. I would greatly appreciate if the kids were kept under control. The ambiance was ruined by the kids. read more

Best general tso's chicken ever. I have yet to find a place that serves general tso's chicken as good as here. It is always crispy, so they must use a special blend for their batter. The lunch specials are a good deal, but over the years the prices on their menu have increased due to inflation. Broccoli and beef: Broccoli soft and tender , good sauces however the beef was rubbery fatty and unchewable.Did not look like the photo. I guess boiled or steamed beef isnt good unless marinated. I am not a chef. Broiling is best. read more

They automatically gave me a large so I wasn't expecting to pay that much but I'm so glad they did because this chicken is the best I've ever had lol. As somebody who grew up by Queens and had some pretty good chicken and broccoli this feels like they actually marinated the chicken. AND AND their food isn't drenched in sauce and super salty. Family favorite, Chopstix is the only place we consistently go for take out. It's Monday night and their phone is rininging non stop, the best running business of Scarsdale. Recs: +Chicken chow fun (wide noodles) +Mapo tofu +Beef broccoli The two ladies in charge of taking orders are sweethearts. Always smiling at customers. Even though a man didn't have enough money to pay for his lunch, they let him off in the end and asked that he pay them back later. Food is great, I've ordered from here twice and will probably make this my go to place for Chinese food. I've gotten the general tso tofu with plain fried rice and it does not disappoint. I've had this same dish from other places and it's usually soggy but not the case here. My mother usually eats the chicken with garlic sauce and pork fried rice and she said it tasted fresh. I live about 10 mins from this place, the times I've ordered delivery it arrives nice and warm. read more

Perfect. Try them. When the chinese place I always went to in Scarsdale/Eastchester closed, I was pretty disappointed. But Chop Stix is better, faster and the people are really really nice. They put extra effort into dealing w a food allergy. And when I asked for something without any spice, they did it perfectly. There are some sub par reviews here. Bonkers. Wally Pipp moment. Our original haunt, jade spoon, was out of tofu so we searched for a local alternative. I tried Chopstix years ago, so we gave them a try. Ordered takeout. The food arrived hot and nothing was left out. Vegetable egg rolls were very good. A little pricier than JS but the quality of food is just as good. I bought beef with broccoli and it wasn't good at all, it wasn't tasty. I ordered the lunch special which comes with a roll but to my surprise they didn't give me the roll. I found out about the roll after I was done eating. I wouldn't recommend this place. read more

I'm writing this with an MSG headache from their chicken lo mein. Our family has been ordering between here & Golden Duck (1 block away) for the past 2 yrs. Every time I eat bad take-out food, I swear they are off our list and switch to the other place. I think I've switched back & forth a couple times now and am at a loss for good Chinese around here. I don't really know how to describe Chop Stix other than WONDERFUL. I feel like it's not just your generic takeout food and that they actually take time to prepare the food. General Tso's chicken, pork fried rice, chicken and broccoli, wonton soup--all of them taste like they weren't just thrown in the oven and rushed, but like they were actually prepared with care. I found that takeout or eating in the restaurant both taste great, but the restaurant is clean and you can just grab a table. read more

Best take out Chinese food in Scarsdale. The lunch specials are a great deal, and their general tso's is hands down the best. they have great fried rices too. their seafood dishes are also really good. all the food here is reasonably priced also, and service is fast and friendly. um, i really find it difficult to believe that anyone would give this place 5 stars. folks who did: i officially don't trust your reviews anymore. i what characterize the food here as being a C-minus. and i'm sort of being kind with that. it is indeed totally "americanized," in that the spice has been toned down, the sauces sweetened and thickened to the point that they're almost dessert. fried rice totally uninspired. wonton soup lacking flavor. dumplings unpleasantly breaded. eggrolls pro forma. eggplant chicken with garlic sauce so-so, probably the best of what we ordered. my "tien" chicken -- listed as chef's specialty -- was a bunch of frozen vegetables stir-fried with a sweet sauce. yawn. one of the stars i'm giving for the woman at the counter, who was absolutely the sweetest woman i've ever encountered in a take-out shop. so kind and welcoming. i only wish the rest of the place worked as well. i wouldn't go back. read more

Chop Stix was our go to place for years but it had fallen on on hard times. Happily it has much improved, the shrimp with curry Thai style was excellent with lots of vegetables including asparagus and eggplant, the spare ribs on the bone were lightly sauced and hot and the Chinese mixed vegetables were all fresh with slices of garlic.
