I was charged $9 extra- someone had added a gaming charge ($2.50) and an extra charge ($6.99) for an Alfredo dish that I didn't order. Order took ten minutes to get to my car once I checked in, my chicken and gnocchi soup did not contain a single gnocchi (don't know how that's possible), the soup was lukewarm, and the breadsticks had so much seasoning on them that they became difficult to eat. We were not greeted immediately at the door as per usual, instead the greeter walked away as we came into the restaurant. When he did see us we were greeted with ". Would you like to be seated in the bar? Had we wanted the bar we could have just walked into the bar and seated ourselves ! We were then seated in a booth right behind a cleaning station.... ... There were oodles of other booths available. disappointing...Told a server would be with us soon... We were not set up with even a glass of water! Server came (very pleasant) we ordered ... Our soup was served promptly... server did not return to see if we would like more soup until she brought our meals out... I had Shrimp Scampi... my asparagus was not soft, it was hard I had to take it home to finish cooking it... I didn't know that it was hard until after the server came and asked how everything was tasting... My husband had the Tour of Italy... his food presented well ...just very small servings ... an unexpected surprise with the lasagna.... Bottom layer ( inedible) was bordering on burnt... he orders this meal consistently when we eat at OG... never had such small portions or bad layer of lasagna.... So about 4 months ago me and my boyfriend decided to eat at olive garden because it used to be one of my favorite spots, but thats all changed after my last experience. First when me and my man placed our drink orders, we ended up never getting them to the table, We than ordered our food items which they came out within a minute, with just two of our soups and nothing else. our drinks still not at the table. Within half an hour of waiting and only having soup and not getting checked on, we decided to get up and leave, our server finally came to our table once he noticed us grabbing our things and asked if we were going to pay for the orders which we did not, because all we ever got was soup and they realized that it was olive gardens fault. Stopped here for a late dinner. We got to Duluth a little late, with no reservation we ended up waiting 15-20 minutes for a table as it was a busy Saturday night. Once we were seated we knew what we wanted and ordered everything right away. Our waiter was very attentive and nice. He checked in on us and always made sure we had everything we needed and asked for. I ordered *Strawberry Bellini *CYO Pasta - angel hair with five cheese marinara *Salad *Pumpkin Cheesecake (to-go) The drink was good, the strawberry they topped the drink with was a little sad but the drink was good so that's all that mattered. My pasta was good as it was the first time trying the five cheese marinara sauce. I added crushed pepper for a little spice. The salad and breadsticks are always good. Something like a three or four, this mountain top Olive Garden. Everything was pushed out buffet style so there was no timing whatsoever. Bread sticks weren't warm. Good thing I ordered extra pepperoncini and olives because portions were so meager they showed up with less than the normal amount elsewhere. That extra sausage link looked like a dried up mummy's dick. Was ugly but tasted good; that's what she said!! Spaghetti needed extra marinara. Where do I start with this place? Upon arrival you see the beautiful architecture of the building starting with the rock masonry formation in front and then the elegant doors out front. It looks inviting and somewhere you'd want to bring a date or the whole family. As you walk in your immediately greeted by the staff with friendly smiles and great eye contact. Off to the left as you walk in is a beautiful area of the restaurant that features beautiful masonry, soft leather booths looking out towards Central Entrance, and on top of it all this area has a full bar. As my beautiful bride and I sat and went over the menu there it's come to my attention that the menu has changed a bit but still has a great selection of items to choose from. We decided to go with an appetizer starting with the Shrimp Fritto Misto which is Over a half-pound of shrimp mixed with onions and bell peppers, hand-breaded and lightly fried. Served with marinara and spicy ranch. I can tell you, this was absolutely delicious. The spicy ranch was my preferred dipping sauce as well as Cassies too. For our entrées I had the unlimited Salad, Soup, and breadsticks. For the soup I had both the chicken & Gnocchi, and the Zuppa Toscana. Both are amazing. In the Zuppa Toscana I swear the broth could cure any cold you might have. Cassie ordered the Salmon with Broccoli which was cooked to perfect, it just flaked off and tasted amazing. Cassie ordered with my meal the Amaretto Sour which if it was a hot day this is exactly what you would want. Reminded me of sitting on the pier next to the ocean in California. It was super sweet so if you like sweet alcoholic beverages this is the drink for you. Now that the food is out of the way let me tell you about the service. Our waitress, Sophia, was absolutely amazing. She was very kind, greeted us right away and got us both waters right away. My Cassie usually has a hard time choosing what she wants right away so we ordered our appetizer which came out relatively quick but like ai said, tasted amazing haha We asked her questions about the drink menu and when she didn't know she ran right away to the bar to find out the answers and hurried back to us. We felt bad for making her run back and forth but she was very kind about it. Anyone who comes here would be thankful to have a waitress like her. She is very customer oriented and was a joy to have at our table. This isn't our first time at Olive Garden but we love our experience whenever we are here. Hopefully they build one in our hometown. As a former employee, I can validly say I enjoy the food and people who make it as well as present it. I was employed here for a year, and ultimately quit not because of a lack of money, or issues but just because of the drama between coworkers. If you plan on dining inside, avoid sitting near the server areas because they are known to talk hella smack about their tables once they get in there. Avoid sitting in the bar unless you want to be rushed. This restaurant claims to be "inclusive" of all peoples. Sexuality, Race, Religion, Disability, etc. but yet managers are concerned with personal information about those protected classes and feel like it's their job to discuss it with lower level employees. Highly unprofessional. The kitchen could use a little scrubbing.. dishes too. I always had to put back plates / silverware that were dirty from the dishwasher not thoroughly inspecting them before sending them to the floor. read more

We had the best dining experience ever for an Olive Garden. The Duluth location had superb service and all the food was excellent. They were able to accommodate our large family of eight at one table. It felt like we had a private dining table and they were able to split the "Taste of Italy" one entree for two people keeping our meal satisfying and affordable. First time in years coming here. We wanted to set away from the bar and the hostess wanted to put us up by the door and argued with us instead of putting us where we want. The waitress was very nice and efficient. The soup , breadsticks were amazing and salad good, but the lasagna was small portion and very cold. Instead of asking us the waitress rounded off are 25 gift card for her tip. On my way out I went to the bathroom and the hostess came in and asked if anyone else is in here I said no just me instead of leaving and coming back she stayed and began cleaning even though I'm not done. We had a table of four for lunch today. We ordered an appetizer and within 2 minutes of getting our appetizer the salad came out. Before we even took salad out of the bowl the entree was placed. The server asked if we wanted the entree's placed under a heat lamp for awhile. We passed on that option. It seemed like they wanted us to eat and leave quickly. One of the few places we have been to since being fully vaccinated and covid has started tapering off. Our previous experience was not great. However this time, we were very. Pleased. Our server was very good, personable and on top of things. Our food came quickly and was well prepared. And was delicious. We will go back. Im usually not a big fan of the olive garden, but this location is one of the better olive gardens in the country. Our server was Kate. When we sat down she introduced herself and offered us a sample of some wine. She also told us all about the new dishes that they had. The Ravioli Alfredo Lasagna was the choice of the day. It came with a salad and bread sticks. I am not a big fan of traditional Lasagna. There is too much red sause in the traditional and I get an upset tummy from it very fast. But the Ravioli Alfredo Lasagna was the perfect blend of tomato and Alfredo. I usually don't eat the whole plate, but this time I ate it all. I will be back to try some of the other new items on the menu. I will also be sure to ask for Kate because of the wonderful and fast service that she gave us. Thanks for a wonderful meal! read more

Went to Olive Garden yesterday and my friend and I sat down got a complimentary sample of wine which was good. Ordered our food and mine came fairly quickly, my friend ordered the same time as me and the waiter didnt bring him his food at all. Once I was finished we got the receipt and it only showed my food. He then spoke to the service manager and she did feel bad so we did not have to pay for my meal and we got a gift card of 50.00 but still it was disgusting overall on service. So we arrived at Olive Garden and the service was good, we were seated and such. However the menu is lacking extremely, there could be so many more things but no. Not very creative. So anyways we order (took a long time to get our bread and never brought us a second basket) my chicken and gnocchi soup had ONE SINGLE GNOCCHI. One. Also had 0 flavor. My ravioli came out with a little black hair on it. It is not my hair. So I just picked it off ... also very bland and lacking flavor, this was supposed to be a nice dinner but felt like cheap low quality food. Not to mention the cheese melted over the ravioli makes a layer of just cheese that didn't melt on to the plastic-y ravioli just sat on top. Our server was nice though. Went here last night for a birthday dinner. I ordered the Herb-Grilled Salmon. They brought out bread before ate meal it was extremely salty to the point it was hard to eat. We asked for a new order of bread and they quickly delivered it was much better. It was a decent breadstick. My dinner entree came with a Italian salad the salad was top notch. Lots of good veggies was happily satisfied. My salmon was pretty good. It was cooked to perfection but did have a bit of a fishy taste. I love salmon and quite often order it out to eat this was a good salmon but was a little fishy. The side came with a Parmesan Cheese Broccoli. It was the best part of the meal it was extremely good. All in all thumbs up for a good meal waitress was okay but it was pretty busy. I would order it again. read more

"Coronavirus" so my family, whom I live in the same house with, came in and we were told we couldn't all sit together. So we had to split up our kids from our table. We have seven family members, one of which is an INFANT! What if we had 6 kids and had to split all of us up. My husband and I were there about two weeks ago. The salad and breadsticks were good, but that was about it. He had ravioli and thought the sauce was very bland. It's been much better in the past. I had the stuffed chicken Marsala. When my plate arrived, it had the chicken and something that looked like a thin stew or thick soup. I had to ask the waitress what it was. She told me it was mashed potatoes and that when they put the sauce on it, the potatoes must have gotten soft. Honestly, there was nothing that looked like mashed potatoes. She said she'd get me knew ones. She did, but they were microwaved and I burned my mouth and throat on them. As for mushrooms, I found one small one in the 'sauce'. The chicken was dry and lukewarm. Will we be back??? Absolutely not. The meal was awful and I couldn't believe the waitress actually tried to serve me what she did. read more

My family and I ventured here about a month ago and the only great experience was the actual food while eating and the waitress that served us. We do not go out to eat much so when we do it's a special event and the hostess right away had an attitude. There were 6 of us including a child and one baby and one adult needing obvious seating accommodations. The hostess asked if we were okay with a 4 top booth..umm no it was lunch time and not that busy and we were the only ones in the lobby at the time waiting for a table. So I said no we would need a table with 6 seats for everyone including one to place the car seat for the baby. So we waited for that to be open. Then once we were seated by same hostess to a "clean" table which was obviously not clean I asked if we could please have a rag or towel to sanitize the table and she came back very aggressively and cleaned just one spot and walked away. I was taken aback as this was a special outing and i was not being unreasonable whatsoever.'I have worked in customer service for 10 plus years and have a common standard for all restaurants. Thankfully our server was great and the food was yummy. Seems like this place always has mostly college students that do not care about their Job. We went for a late dinner to Olive Garden near the Home Depot on Mall Dr. Had a taste for my usual favorite - soup, salad, and breadsticks. Started with a glass of peach tea - yum !! Then came the meal - soup (pasta fagioli) - very hot (stove) and a little spicy. Tasted so good, I had 2 bowls ! Salad came out at the same time - was ok, the lettuce was in large, chunky pieces - I like my salad lettuce in smaller pieces. The salad dressing was great Italian flavor, as usual. Lastly, the breadsticks - the first batch was warm, but not too garlicky - second batch was great - warm, buttery, garlicky - perfect ! Service was fantastic all meal long ! I dined at this restaurant on 7/8/2018 and was seated promptly at 7:30pm. We ordered shortly after being seated, and were severed our drinks and bowl of salad very quick. Unfortunately, that's where any quickness ended.We were informed by the waitress that the kitchen got a lot of orders at the same time, and it could be a little longer then normal of a wait for our meals. We noticed other customers speaking to the manager about the wait for their food and voicing there displeasure in the wait times it took for there food to arrive. Several of them with small children even asked for the meals when they finally did arrive to be boxed up as to go, as the wait was too much for them. When we finally got our meals, it was ONE HOUR after our initial order was placed!! Seems to me to be a little long for spaghetti and ragatoni...but maybe it's just me. read more

This Olive Garden location is generally pretty good. The one thing that I usually wonder while I am there, is "why did they build this restaurant so small?" It is quite small by Olive Garden standards and has been much too small for the demand ever since they opened. I would say there is about a 95% chance you will have a fairly lengthy wait for a table at this location. This visit was no exception. After we were finally seated, the meal was pretty good. The first batch of bread sticks was a bit crusty for my taste, but the 2nd batch was much better. The salad on the other hand, was pretty much just 4 big clumps of lettuce hearts. There was a decent amount of the other salad fixings though, and they were tasty. I decided to go with a new entree featured on the menu, the "Spicy Shrimp Vesuvio," which was quite good and was glad that I ordered it. I don't know that I would really consider it "spicy," but it was tasty. One thing that I thought was strange during this experience though, was that it seemed like our server was in a rush to get us out of there, as he started boxing up our meals while I was still eating. I'm guessing it was because they want to rush you in and out of there as fast as they can on an account of the lack of adequate space. For dessert, I ordered the chocolate mousse cake. The presentation wasn't great, but the flavor was quite good. read more

So, only 3 stars because Olive Garden is soooooooo overpriced. $17.99 for chicken Alfredo. Our tab was $76.00 for 3 of us (3 entrees, a glass of wine and 2 sodas). And they wanted to charge us for extra Alfredo sauce when my niece asked. Her noodles weren't even fully coated. So see ya when I get another gift card. read more

I always enjoy the Olive Garden because they offer more than a "consolation prize" entree for vegans. They have a few delicious entrees that are easily made vegan by keeping the cheese off. Their minestrone is wonderful. The atmosphere inside Olive Garden restaurants is very attractive and pleasant. I'd have given Olive Garden five stars if they offered whole wheat breadsticks and put whole wheat noodles in their minestrone. read more
