I ordered the spicy Korean steak noodles. I asked for no onions, no cilantro, no cucumbers. And wouldn't you guess that put everything in my bowl I asked them not to put in it. Go figure right? I was too far to my house to go back. So let's get to the taste. The steak was super tough to eat I just kept chewing and chewing by away until I just said forget it and spit it out. As we were heading out after our valentines day dinner we decided to get a midnight meal. We ordered pad thai and they said they were out of it as they were getting close to shutting down the store. After some random guess and random process of eliminations, I ended up ordering Japanese pan noodles. The order was out fast and we did a take out. When we came home, we decided we taste a Lil while it was fairly warm.....but to our dismay, it was barely warm, the box was quarter filled like they had packed someone's left overs. It was less than a small order when we did the regular meal......I was so upset that I didn't even wanted to take a bite. Replace the carbohydrates in noodles with healthy zucchini. I tried Zucchini spicy peanut saute with grilled chicken. I would say it was good. I wanted something warm and different for lunch. I decided to try this place. When I walked in it smelled so good and inviting. I ordered the spicy Korean beef with zoodles regular size. The meal took 20 minutes to make, I'm not sure why since zucchini noodles don't require a long cook time. First ever visit to a Noodles & Company and I have to say it was really good. When I saw that another chain restaurant was coming to the Buckland area I was a little underwhelmed with the idea. However N&C was a nice surprise. They just opened this week so the interior is really clean and has a sleek design. The menu is interesting with 12 main noodle dishes that can be customized to your taste. I ordered a regular sized Spicy Korean Beef Noodles. I took my seat and my food came out within 5 minutes piping hot. It was a decent size serving for the price (around 9 dollars). I took my first bite and wow this is pretty good! The noodles were cooked perfectly with a little but of chew, the beef was spicy but flavorful and the raw veggies added a pleasant crunch. I've gotta say in my opinion this place is just alright. I've tried a few dishes and like the stroganoff and the breadsticks, but nothing really blows me away. Also, I kind of feel like really and I mean really bloated after eating here. The food is pretty greasy maybe not as like greasy as the five guys next store but not very great. Love that they have so many seasonings and chop sticks. The setup is nice and very clean. I have tried several items on their menu along with my own personal combinations, and I would have to say that their pasta and noodle dishes are solid. However, you can switch out the meat with just vegetables or with another protein such as beef. The pasta along with the sauces can be customized as well. What was disappointing were the sides or appetizers. The garlic bread was well made, but the potstickers, Korean meatballs, and Cesar salad left me feeling unsatisfied. The flavor combinations were either bland or unbalanced. I thought they could have chosen better side options. Overall, I have had lunch here several times, and the service and atmosphere is nice. Their customizable menu makes you get more involved with their food options, but I just wish the flavors and dishes were elevated slightly. I really like this chain's Glastonbury restaurant, so my wife and I stopped at this location while shopping in Manchester. It was mid-afternoon and there were only one or two other customers. Three employees were running the place. We ordered two soups, potstickers, a veggie pasta dish, and mac and cheese. Potstickers, okay. Mac and cheese acceptable. Pasta pretty good. Soups both barely warm (we ate them without comment until after we finished). The male employee seemed to be the cook, so I told him to check and reheat the soups. He shrugged and went into the kitchen area. Okay, I'm down below three stars now and dropping. Before the meals came, I took the empty napkin holder to our server who thanked me, filled the holder, and brought us napkins. I dropped one on the floor after she left, and noticed multiple beverage spills on the floor, tables not cleaned - an inspector might well have written them up if one had been there. No one asked us how our food was except when it was first delivered. Won't return to this location again, but we will go to the Glastonbury site (much nicer, great location, always quality food). Found out from the cashier that they only accept noodle&co coupons. So why does Yelp even offer me a coupon for your company if you don't accept it?? I felt like the kids meal portions are even bigger than the adult small size. Kids meal comes with 2 sides and a drink (I picked organic apple juice). My dad's order of garden primavera was so small compared to my pasta. He barely had any pasta, just a few bites. But we ordered the same size pasta so what gives?? The flavor was okay but was disappointing that my pasta was just room temperature. Spent $46 for our dinner but would have much rather spend it at the Boston market a few feet away instead. Little too sweet for my taste. One thing I noticed is there is no Pho type soup. Like noodles, veggies, meat and broth. It would be nice to include something like that on their menu. You can get stuff like Mac and cheese and Spaghetti and meatballs or Japanese noodles. It seems like most of the patrons eating think the same as I do. Kind of average. Awesome place for all your noodle needs! And more! I had a special need for my usual dish to me changed drastically. I had place the order two nights in a row. The first night my order was perfect!!!!! The second night (tonight) was not like the first night. It made me sick to my stomach (I'm pregnant). Came here for lunch. It's a very nice clean restaurant with outdoor seating. You order straight when you walk in and they give you a number for your table and you wait for your meal to arrive. The Thai green curry with shrimp actually tasted pretty similar to what they would serve at a Thai restaurant and there was a decent amount of shrimp in there which was cooked well. The spicy Korean noodles with beef also tasted pretty authentic! Definitely worth trying as there is a variety of noodles from various cultures. read more
