Stir fry ginger chicken with Jasmin rice.

We need to come here more often. Although we have come here several times we don't seem to come here often enough. The food is always fresh and presented beautifully. Tonight I had a very flavorful ginger chicken stir fry. Definitely would recommend Simply Thai.

Everything was tasty. Small place that stayed consistently busy. No frills dining. Not inexpensive. Plates were about $18 ish. We ordered tea and it was just a cup of hot water with a tea bag. Not bad but not memorable.

What a wonderful stop on our drive through the area! Food was delicious, server was attentive, and vibe was calm and unpretentious. Would definitely recommend as a chill dining out or takeout option in the area.

Great little Thai place for the area. Staff was friendly, attentive, and kitchen was efficient and speedy. We ordered the Golden Bags, Crab Rangoons, and the Pork Rind Special for apps. Golden bags were very flavorful (though slightly over cooked) and the Rangoon's were great. Unfortunately we did not like the pork rinds, they tasted as if they were straight out of the bag - so we told the waitress we didn't like them, she took them away and off the bill - great customer service. We order the Pad Thai with chicken for our entree to share. We asked for a level 5 spice, with extra peanuts - and the kitchen delivered. The pad Thai was not only spicy but full of flavor and not too sweet. Overall, this Thai place is a strong 4. Will definitely return!! Well done.

I'm totally disgusted as I bit into my fresh spring roll and got caught on something. When I spit out my food, I realized it was a long black hair and that it was actually stuck in my teeth. I want to vomit. I immediately called the restaurant and she asked me what I wanted to do about it...what do you mean me? I don't even want to eat the other food I got because I'm nauseous from the thought of the hair. The lady offered to give me my money back for just the rolls but I should have said I wanted a full refund. Matter of fact, she should have offered a full refund because clearly they aren't wearing hair nets or proper sanitary coverings.

I ordered takeout from here on a Sunday afternoon after driving by it many times and never stopping in. I was excited to see some different items on their menu compared to other Thai places nearby and ordered the nam sod as well as the kra prao gai. But were made with ground chicken but tasted so different. They were well made, flavorful and a good sized portion. We got spicy level 3 and it had a good kick, however we both like spicy food so keep that in mind if you order from here. The food was ready in 15 min and nice and hot when we arrived for pickup. The folks insider were friendly as well. Overall I definitely recommend a visit!

We were driving back from Boston last night and decided to have dinner at Simply Thai. We walked in around 6:00 and it wasn't too crowded at all. Our dinner was very good. I wanted to start with a soup and passed on the usual Thai soups to order something I don't ever remember seeing before - Chicken Ginger Soup ($5) described as 'Chicken soup with ginger, scallions, and shitake mushrooms'. It was great!! First of all, it was a pretty big portion with a ton of chicken. But the broth was what distinguished the soup. It was an excellent chicken broth with a delicate ginger undertone. There was maybe a quarter cup of razor thin matchstick slivers of ginger in there, giving the soup some texture and more ginger taste. It was a very good value at $5. My entrée was Pad Kee Mao (better known as Drunken Noodles) described as 'Flat noodle with broccoli, carrot, bell pepper, tomato, onion and basil. You can add whatever protein you want so I went with the squid for $14. The dish was wonderful -I don't order it very often, but I was so glad I did tonight. Perfect noodles, perfect vegetables, and plenty of perfectly cooked squid rings in a delicious non-greasy sauce. My wife went with a beautiful version of Chicken Pad Thai described as 'Stir fried noodles with egg, bean sprouts and scallions, served with crushed peanuts and lime $12. Sometimes, the noodles are dry, and the dish is under-sauced, but not here. It was pretty darned good. Value wise, our dinner ran $33 after tax and before tip. Was there a weak link? Yeah -the service wasn't that great. Long waits to take the order. Long wait for the soup. Long wait for the entrees. Long wait for the check. All on a night when the dining room was less than a third full. I'm OK with waits as long as the restaurant acknowledges that we've been waiting a long time. How about a ''we cook everything to order so it's coming up soon'' or ''the kitchen is working on a lot of take-out orders so please hang in there'' or 'I know you've been waiting for a while''. How about a freebie bowl of edamame or a spring roll cut in half as an acknowledgement? We didn't even get one word from the staff. Anyway, the food was very good, but a little improvement in customer service wouldn't hurt

I was craving for Thai food so we went to Simply Thai for lunch. The food was delicious and very flavorful as expected with Thai cuisine. It was a good lunch. Will definitely come back and try the rest of the menu.

I'm back. I come here once a month for the coconut soup. This is my first time dining here in…read moreyears. It was BYOB back then. They have nice decor, classic Thai music and nice decor. This restaurant was bought 5/6 years ago by the Chinese restaurant across the street. Their building was demolished. For my first drink, I'm having a Singha. Singha is Thailand's original premium lager, first brewed in 1933, known for its rich taste with strong hop character, and is often paired with spicy food. Its logo features the mythical golden lion (Singha) and the Garuda, a symbol of royal approval, making it a distinctive Thai brand with significant international sponsorships in sports like Formula 1 and football. The name also refers to numerous Thai restaurants worldwide that serve its cuisine. They have only beer and wine here. The cold beer glass matches the brand of the beer! This is good. It's cold and easy to drink. For my salad, I'm having the SomTum. Som Tum Thai (Green Papaya Salad) is a beloved Thai salad characterized by a vibrant mix of shredded green papaya, chilies, garlic, cherry tomatoes, long beans, roasted peanuts, and dried shrimp. The dish is defined by its bold, refreshing balance of spicy, savory, tangy, and slightly sweet flavors, often dressed with fish sauce, lime juice, and palm sugar. This is good! It's a big portion. I love the fresh iceberg lettuce cups. For my soup, I'm having tom Yum. Tom yum is a popular Thai hot and sour soup, known for its aromatic broth flavored with lemongrass, galangal, kaffir lime leaves, and chilies, balanced with lime juice, fish sauce, and sugar. The most common version, Tom Yum Goong, features shrimp, but it can also be made with chicken, pork, or seafood. It comes in a clear broth (nam sai) or a creamy version (nam khon), which adds evaporated milk or chili paste. This is hot and yummy! Lots of chicken! The tomatoes retain a lot of heat! For my my entree, I'm having the Massaman Curry with chicken. Massaman curry is a rich, mild, and flavorful Thai curry with Persian and Indian influences, known for its complex, aromatic spices like cardamom, cinnamon, and cloves, and its creamy texture from coconut milk, peanuts, and potatoes. It's less spicy than other Thai curries and balances sweet, salty, and sour tastes, often made with chicken, beef, or duck, and served with rice. They add peanuts too! I'm going to Christen a bottle of Melinda's Bhut Jolokia Ghost Pepper sauce. The pepper is supposedly 1M Scoville units. Yeah. That's hot. The sauce is not that hot. It's maybe 50K Scoville units. The Massaman Curry is real good! It's hot and delicious. What a great meal here!

I've only had take out from this place so I'll only be speaking on my take out experience…read more We have ordered here twice. Both times we enjoyed our food. I'm a vegetarian so I'm always on the lookout for good vegetarian food. We tried the Thai spring rolls, Drunken noodles (which might be made with oyster sauce so be aware if you are vegetarian) with tofu and sesame bean curd. By far our favorite was the sesame tofu (bean curd). It was crispy and light, slightly sweet and spicy and overall tasty. I've tried several other places in the area and this is my fav so far. The veggie spring rolls were also very tasty, but small. Still great tho, I don't love huge portions, but I did wish I had more of these (shared these and my roommate loved them). When I went to pick up inside the place looked clean, although when I went to the counter the couple and their (i assume) daughter did not seem very interested in getting up to help me. The daughter did eventually and she was very kind. Overall I did enjoy my take out experience here and will order here again sometime.

I'm having a French Martini made with Grey Goose vodka, Chambord and a splash of pineapple juice. The main menu has not changed here in years. The prices have gone up a bit but only slightly, so it's good if you're on a budget too. This is good! They don't garnish here. They do use medium sized martini glasses (not the small ones). For my first item, I'm having the House Green Salad. This is made with iceberg lettuce, cucumbers and tomatoes. I LOVE their ginger dressing! I like the soothing music here. This salad is awesome! For my next item, I'm having a miso soup. This is the lowest price I've ever seen ($2.50). It is a soybean soup made with tofu, scallions and seaweed. Miso soup is a traditional Japanese soup made from a dashi stock mixed with miso paste, a fermented soybean paste, giving it a savory, umami flavor. Key ingredients often include tofu, seaweed (wakame), and scallions, but it can be customized with mushrooms, clams, or other additions. It's served hot, typically as part of a traditional Japanese meal, and should not be boiled after adding the miso to preserve its flavor and nutrients. I get the "big" bowl. This is hot and steamy. It is delicious! For my next item, I'm having the Seaweed Salad. Japanese seaweed salad (often called wakame salad) is a vibrant, refreshing, and umami-packed dish. It is made by rehydrating dried seaweed, tossing it with a vinaigrette made of sesame oil, soy sauce, and rice vinegar, and garnishing it with sesame seeds. I love this stiff although it sticks to your teeth sometimes. It is quite chilled. For my next item, I'm having edamame. These are a superfood. Boiled soybeans with salt! Edamame is a Japanese dish of young soybeans, typically boiled or steamed in the pod and served as a snack or appetizer, often with salt. It can also be prepared shelled (mukimame) and seasoned in various ways, such as with garlic, soy sauce, chili, or sesame oil, and served warm or cold in salads. The beans are known for being a protein-rich, healthy, and versatile ingredient. For my next drink, I am having a Strawberry Martini made with Svensk Wild Strawberry vodka, sweet vermouth and a splash of strawberry liqueur. Oh wow! This is good! Yes, you can taste the alcohol here! These edamame are good! No shortage of salt here either! For my next food item, I'm having the Tuna Tataki (extra spicy) made with thinly sliced seared tuna served with ponzu sauce. Tuna tataki is a Japanese culinary method where a block of sushi-grade tuna is briefly seared on all sides, leaving the interior raw. It is sliced thinly, served with a citrus-soy (ponzu) sauce, and often garnished with green onions, sesame seeds, and grated ginger. Wow! Extra spicy it is! I've never seen so many fresh jalapeños in one of these dishes! The sauce was REALLY spicy! This is great! For my next item, I'm having the Ikura (A La Carte menu). Ikura is the Japanese term for cured salmon roe (fish eggs). Prized for its vibrant orange color and signature "pop," the individual eggs are typically marinated in a soy sauce, sake, and mirin brine. It is most commonly served atop vinegared rice wrapped in a strip of nori seaweed (known as gunkan maki) or over a bowl of rice (ikura don). This is a taste of the ocean! Cucumber, no rice. It's a must when coming here! The wasabi is wicked strong! It was just made today! I love this! On my! Out comes something I've never seen before! What in the world is this! It looks like spicy tuna on Doritos!? This is great! OMG! ANOTHER bowl of miso soup has showed up! Yikes! They know I'm addicted to this! For my next drink, I am having g a Watermelon Martinj made with Bacardi Light Malibu Coconut, pineapple juice and a splash of mango schnapps. Oh yeah! This is good! Strong too! OMG! I think a Samurai Salad had showed up! So what is the Samurai Salad Recipe & Ingredients? The traditional Samurai Salad is a protein-rich, meal-sized dish. The Base: Mixed salad greens, green onions, and fresh tomato slices. The Protein: Firm slices of tofu brushed with oil and dressing, then grilled or pan-fried until golden brown. The Dressing: A zesty blend of soy sauce, white wine vinegar, grated fresh ginger, and hot pepper seasoning. Wow! This is the best salad I've EVER had! That's a great entree. It's " off menu" too do you need to ask for it. For dessert, I'm having the Fried Crispy Banana. Yeah, right. Let's see what REALLY comes out! OMG! This is IMPOSSIBLE to finish! Look at this monster! Oh no. What is that yellow drink? Don't ask me. I have no idea. It had a nice taste I can't identify. My sister is ordering the Chicken with lemongrass to go. This place is the bomb!

A better than expected all you can eat locale…read more Came here because it was close by and they recently revamped their dine in to include boba tea and an all you can eat sushi and Chinese menu. Decided to give it a try and see how things turned out. Inside is clean and decorated well. Staff was very friendly and attentive. We told them we were doing the all you can eat, and got our ordering menu. Interestingly, they included boba tea as an option on the all you can eat menu. so we got drinks to try. They were a little sweet but tasty. We ordered a smattering of bites, with the idea that the plates would be tiny and we could try a bunch. The portions were smaller, but still very massive. There was many times we would take bites and it would look like nothing was eaten. You need to make sure you order light when picking your choices. The bites were seasoned well, tasty, and plentiful. The highlights being the garlic shrimp and the pepper tuna tataki. The sushi rice is seasoned correctly, and the fish was fresh. The taste of the rolls was a little bland, but soy and the wasabi aoli helped out. They do have the stipulation of food waste costing more, so the mass amounts of food did give us pause. The server assured us that there would not be any charges as they figure out how to portion. But it did limit our ordering. For the price, the quality is actually pretty good. It's pricy for the area, but you're not going to go hungry. If you get a chance to try them, they are a great option for a meal. It's not worthy of a trek, but versus other restaurants of that style you would be hard pressed to find better.
