All the people dealing with food didn't have hair nets or gloves. I walked in and the girl at the front just looked at me and didn't speak. I was excited to eat here because I use to love Noodles and Company before moving to TX. Very disappointed.

The restaurant is a disgusting mess, food and garbage scattered on the floor, dirty tables, I will not be coming back.

Do not go to this location! There was a piece of slate/rock in my daughter's food when we last ordered. The quality is also poor in general.

For the cost of the class, I would have thought I would have got a bit more. The other thing that disappointed me was the glasses are open to all ages of children. In my class, I was there with a middle school boy who somewhat took ownership of the class and wasn't behaving very appropriate for what I thought was an adult-only class. This was an event I purchased as an adult-friendly evening, I do wish this was stated when signing up for classes or at least offer adult-only or all ages classes. It just wasn't the vibe I was going for that evening and frankly was pretty annoying. Although, the owner did try to play down the boy's presence and kindly answer his questions, etc - I probably wouldn't take another class there unfortunately. I do enjoy the shop and the pasta is tasty.

Petra and Andy take such pride in their shop and it shows! We started wandering (and salivating over) their small but impressive selection of sauces, oils, salts, and Italian goodies. They have samples of most of their items, so definitely ask when you're in! The class started with Petra giving a brief overview of the general recipe and then we got our hands dirty almost immediately kneading the dough. The dough got to rest for a bit while we got to sip on some beautiful red wine and Petra taught us how to make a puttanesca sauce. When we went back to knead some more, Andy had magically cleaned the stations and set us up for the next round! On our next rest break, Petra finished assembling the puttanesca with some pasta she made earlier that day and we got a healthy serving of fresh pasta and puttanesca, followed by a sample of some of the most amazing Panettone I have ever had. The care that Petra and Andy put into their work is evident, and their commitment to supporting organic, high quality foods is remarkable. Looking forward to many more classes here!

Well shit, no wonder this place is nominated for a James Beard Award. I'm literally still thinking…read moreabout all the good food 24 hours later. It's actually shocking I've only just made it here because Ca'Lucchenzo has been on my to-go list for years. Lucky for me, my girlfriends planned a dinner to catch up and one of them chose this spot. Hot tip: make the reservation. Those go fassst! We went on the Tuesday night and it was full, with repeated table turnover. Delightful atmosphere. Very cozy, with warm tones, dimer lighting, and thoughtfully curated Italian'esque decor. Loved that there is a whole area where you can look onto the from-scratch pasta being made. However, that's over in the dining room and we actually sat on the bar side. There's maybe a dozen seats wrapped around their full-service bar, and then a small high-top tucked behind, where we sat. Our server, Malichai, new allllll of his stuff. When I tell you this menu is so clearly planned with immense detail, and changes pretty much daily, but this man knew every thing there was to know. We found that to be so helpful because as first timers it's hard to know what - and how many dishes - to choose. In the end, we landed on a handful of picks from the antipasti section, which we're all great shareable sizes. And then of course we needed pasta, so selected two of those to share as well. Can I recall what each dish was? No. Can I recall everything being extremely flavorful and enjoyable? Absolutely! From goat cheese and white asparagus, to creamy potato ravioli and the most insane/delicious focaccia of my life... we all noted how great every bite was. Oh and the drinks + dessert selection lived up to the hype too. I had a citrusy gin cocktail, and we finished with some sort of hazelnut chocolate cake. 10/10. Super duper excited to bring my husband here. He appreciates the craft of good food and boy that is what this place is alllll about.

Overall a decent experience, but unfortunately it didn't quite hit the mark that I'd like it to…read more First off the service was great: I went in as a solo diner and was seated quickly without fuss, although the spot where they sat me in was a bit small and along this wide countertop shared with other guests. That was fine ( I don't mind being near people) but the chairs were a bit too close and made me feel like I had to shrink myself and hold my arms in. The server was pleasant as well. Soft-spoken, polite man, which fit the overall relaxed but friendly atmosphere. The only thing I noticed was that he spoke in a bit of a rush, but it was a busy night so I'm more lenient. For food, I started off with the goat cheese crostone, which was fantastic. 5/5 warm, soft, fluffy bread with a great goat cheese and Calabrian honey spread that had both a nice complexity of flavors while not being too overpowering despite the sweetness of the honey and the savoryiness of the goat cheese. Everything balanced out wonderfully. Unfortunately, the main pasta dish I ordered, the Herb Maccaronara, was very bland and one dimensional, which was a shame because I was really looking forward to a bright and refreshing flavor considering how the restaurant seemed to pride itself in the localness of its vegetables. Whatever they used, it was blended and pureed with the sauce, and I couldn't really discern anything except for a faint earthiness. Not much pepper. Not much salt. I normally appreciate it when restaurants want to let the ingredients and naturalness speak for itself, yet I found myself regrettably disappointed by the combinations they chose for this dish, as it didn't highlight or elevated their respective elements. The maccaronara pasta itself was fine, a chewier version compared to other types, but would've benefitted from having something more crisp as an accompaniment to pair with the chewy texture. The dish did have peas in it but sadly it must've been softened by the sauce or noddles because it tasted mushy. Overall the main highlight was the sausage which added a brief touch of well-needed savoriness. The final dish I ordered was an affogato that came with chocolate ice cream and a shot of espresso. A nice cool way to end the meal, although I wish I'd the choice for vanilla instead. All this to say that I believe three stars is a fair scoring for my visit. I really would like to visit again, and Ca'Lucchenzo does rotate their menu often so perhaps their next batch will be better than the current one.

I have a favorite high-end Italian place and I generally want to give them my money and attention. But a recent gift certificate special on the Shepherd Express website and a move to this side of town made me decide it was finally time to try Pasta Tree. Parking in the area sucks and pretty much always had, but there is a parking discount detailed on their website For a lot across the street. We got lucky and found a street spot after two laps. We had a 5pm reservation and were seated in the bar area, which is cozy and classic looking, but I can't speak to the rest of the ambiance. We were directly across from the Toilette, which was not awesome. I'll also caution you not to look up at the ceiling. They need to get a dust mop up there ASAP. Our server was friendly and kind, but she was not a full-time employee, so I'll leave her out of this. Our bread came out quickly, delivered by a nice food runner. It was just on the right side of warm, but it was not exceptional and I only had one slice. BF ordered the salmon Alfredo dish and I had the artichoke cream sans scallops. The food came out very quickly, again delivered by the runner. For a cream sauce, we agreed that the Alfredo base was flavorful and bright, not muddy or overly thick. Good use of lemon and fresh herbs. The pasta was fine, but not remarkable. We liked it, but we both agree we've had better in Milwaukee. His smoked salmon was good, as were my artichokes. These were good dishes, solid, just not distinctive. Weirdly, the bar started getting customers who seemed independent of the dining room. This is not a space where I'd expect that. The sound level was still acceptable, since there were only two other people seated at a table nearby. BF added a tiramisu for dessert. I was saddened that they had no Bailey's for a coffee. They actually were out of several things, which isn't cool for only 5 on a Saturday night. His dessert was fine, not great. It was generously large. Overall, I enjoyed my night but it was buoyed by our mood and not our dining experience. I didn't feel like the price points were equal to the food and that's with a discounted gift certificate. I'm glad I tried it, but I'm not compelled to go back. A place can't survive on reputation alone forever, not as Milwaukee is evolving into a real foodie city.
