We tried the spaghetti marinara and antipasto salad, but watched mouth watering pizza pies go by as well as giant, juicy looking Italian beef sandwiches. We also spotted an authentic brick pizza oven which was a pleasant surprise. Bonta is a no frills spot, and has pre-rolled plastic flatware, so don't expect anything fancy, the food was the star here! There was plenty of seating and is located in a strip mall off 21/Milwaukee Avenue, in Lincolnshire with convenient parking. I can't wait to go back and try the pizza!

The vibes were typical OG, warm and homey. We started off with the classic soup, salad, and breadsticks. The salad was crisp, fresh, and perfectly dressed, and the breadsticks were warm and wholesome as always. The soup was okay, but I'd definitely go for the salad next time. For entrées, the Eggplant Parmesan with baked ziti was delicious, though I wish the ziti was truly baked instead of just pasta with sauce. The Chicken Parmesan with fettuccine Alfredo was a 10/10 -- the combo of marinara from the chicken parm and the creamy Alfredo was perfection. Overall, we enjoyed our meal here. It came in a large bowl of iceberg lettuce with onions, black olives and tomatoes. The whole pepperoncini peppers added a mild heat, and the crunchy buttery garlic croutons seasoned with Italian herb was the perfect toppings. The signature dressing came in a bottle. We also had chicken scampi, chicken alfredo and spaghetti with marinara. And of course the breadsticks, soft and garlicky. Overall the food was good, packaged to retain the heat and enjoyed by all.

All that said, and among all the other positives, what really stood out was the service. Good amount of staff who were Seriously on point, timely, professional, and not overbearing at the slightest. Water at half a glass? it gets filled. Plate is done? someone is picking it up, no wait. It was no fuss, no badgering on how is everything every two minutes, but at the same time not rushing at all. So it took me a while to figure out what they were doing, and I think I got it. They were not being robotic, they were looking, scanning, seeing where they were needed, instead of roaming and interrupting. Been a while since service really impressed me, this was very noticeable. Also, get the apple cake for desert, no pic, cuz we ate it too fast.

We ordered the bruschetta, crostini burrata e pesto, tortellacci with vodka sauce, rigatoni with veggies in a tomato cream sauce, melanzana parmigiana, a house salad, and mint and chocolate ice cream. The standouts were definitely the eggplant parm and anything with the vodka sauce. The eggplant parm is almost like a lasagna with layers, and the marinara is rich and delicious. The house salad was simple, but the vinaigrette dressing really makes it. It is so flavorful and a must try. Overall, a great spot if you are craving Italian. I would definitely come back.

Within 1 minute they set us up at a table and had rose petals spread. What a nice touch. Thanks Perry's! We enjoyed working our way thru the bar happy hour menu and drinks. Stunningly delicious. Sliders were good and the star of the show was the steak and tater tots. Top it off with great $9 app price tag and we ate like kings. The drinks were top notch and better than other steak places in the same price range. Mine even came in a smoke filled glass. Nioice!

Next time we stop in I'll have the pork chop as my meal. I had an Old Fashioned before dinner (it was perfect, so I had another one later :-) ). The Koji Aged Filet Mignon was unbelievable! Probably the best steaks I have ever had. We shared a Corn Brûlée (don't pass this up, it was delicious), we saved room for dessert too, Rocky Road Bread Pudding & a Nutty D'Angelo...both so yummy. They are very Gluten-Friendly too.

We've had Aldo 2 times and he is delightful, the first time we came for my aunt's birthday and it was a blast, he was funny and attentive at the same time with great recommendations his favorite appetizers "the tutto pesci" and "the burrata salad" were just delicious. This time my boyfriend and I decided to come back for our anniversary and did not disappoint again, when he heard it was our anniversary he offered us a complimentary glass of prosecco to celebrate. For dinner I had the Mahi special and my boyfriend had the Skirt steak, they were both fire we could not stop eating. We love the little details from the napkins for our drinks to Aldo's name on the pen, we are definitely coming back and asking for him again. Thank you Enzon and Lucia.

The first tricky part is finding the entrance because it's not really obvious as expected in long grove There's no real signs. Further, the next tricky piece is finding parking if you can get it on the street or find it in the lot now luckily both are free. Once I managed to find a door to the place, it turned out to be the back door and so I had to climb up a bunch of stairs in order to get to the front part of the restaurant to actually check in for the reservation. And yes, please make a reservation. This place does get packed even for early times. The service was really friendly and very nice however, I will say overall the food was OK but nothing really standoffish. For example, if you look at the pictures of the food quite bluntly it just looks like they slapped food onto a plate. There's really no thought that's been put into the presentation. There's really been no thought also to just the pure amounts of cheese and sauce that are also creating a swimming pool on the plate. We ordered the grilled octopus for appetizer and even that was swimming in olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette and too much of everything I think the food is OK but nothing fantastic. Considering the overly saturated Chicagoland market of Italian restaurants I wouldn't necessarily say this was at the top of my list.

I ordered the chicken parmesan for the first time, and the dish was almost entirely pasta with barely any chicken. I've ordered other chicken dishes there before (like the chicken vesuvio) and they've always had a much more reasonable portion. When I asked to speak with the manager, things got worse. He was rude, dismissive, and actually laughed at me. He told me the chicken parm only comes with 5oz of chicken and 10oz of pasta, and that other dishes have double the meat -- something I was never told. He didn't offer any solution, didn't offer a different dish, didn't offer more chicken. Instead he said, "Well, you ordered it, you have to pay for it." When I asked for his name or his manager's info, he refused and said he was the owner and could do whatever he wanted. He waved his hand at me in a "go away" gesture. I've been a customer for years, but after this interaction, I won't be going back. Just wanted neighbors to be aware of the kind of treatment you may encounter at this location.
