Pesto Cavatappi. Small bowl for 4.59. Not worth your money

Prices are going up and portions are getting smaller. Go elsewhere in my opinion for a good value.

    Clean.

We entered and meandered as we always do entering a Kwik Trip. We made our rounds looking at all they had prepared. The store was clean and actively being tended to by their staff. I had my heart set on a sweet tea, but alas the tea had not been brewed with a note saying unavailable for today's date. We jokingly dramatized our grief for this occurrence and were overheard by a staff member. Enter Xavier. I quickly told him it was totally fine, and I would certainly live without it. He checked all the tanks and even agreed with me that the unsweet tea (the only full tank) was disgraceful and a sin. I carried on selecting one of their numerous other quality beverage options, and before I knew it Xavier had returned with a coupon for a free beverage. I was astounded and grateful to receive that albeit totally unnecessary. How kind was he! It was as if he took personal accountability for the mishap; what company integrity and behavior! I thought this gesture was so sweet, and while not expecting anything for such a silly little event, it's certainly a nice change of pace in our current world of customer service. Upon checkout, the cashier, Maya, handled the our transaction just as pleasant and friendly as ever. This location certainly has some of the best staff across the brand and makes us feel appreciated as customers so matter how small the purchase.

She attempted to take $1 off, I corrected her and said it was a can of Zyn for $1. She then proceed to charge me $1.29 before tax. I asked what didn't she understand about a can of Zyn for $1 and why she wouldn't scan the coupon. She insisted she couldn't scan the coupon because of some company policy. I took my coupons and left. I'd rather not deal with this woman or location at all. How this woman still has a job here is beyond me. I've been coming here for years and she has never once smiled, has never once properly greeted me or other guest and gives a stupid stare when you ask how she is doing. If you have been to this location, you know the woman.

Given that this is essentially a learning lab for the culinary students at WCTC, you need to schedule a time beforehand that aligns with the students' schedules. As far as I know, The Classic Room is only open on weekdays. The dining area itself was beautiful. Lots of tables, a piano, and lovely views. Our table was set up near a picture window, so we had a beautiful backdrop while we ate our lunch. In terms of food and drink, there were some aspects that were great and some that were far below average. The blackberry iced tea was watery and didn't have much flavor. The Arnold Palmer was exactly what you'd expect - the perfect mix of tea and lemonade. A warm basket of bread was delivered with a couple sausage rolls tucked inside. It was a nice touch. I ordered the New England clam chowder to start (not pictured). It was flavorful and piping hot. The other members in my party ordered the minestrone and cream of mushroom soup and they enjoyed them as well. The entrées were not as delicious. One member of my party ordered the ribs. According to her, the ribs themselves were fantastic and tender but the potato and asparagus were ice cold. I ordered the poussin and it was not good. Parts of it were incredibly undercooked (which is NOT okay when it comes to poultry). The rice was well seasoned but lukewarm. Another member of my party ordered the bison meatballs and she thought every part of her entrée was average, but warm and edible nonetheless. The REAL star of the show was the dessert. All of us ordered the chocolate decadence and it was incredibly rich. The sauce and berries cut through the density perfectly and the dish was so well balanced. The presentation was nice, even though it kind of looked like a meatball. If you've been curious about trying out The Classic Room at WCTC, I'd give it a shot. But do keep in mind that these students are still learning, so don't expect Michelin Star quality.

Well - there was *nothing* to worry about, other than where I was going to put all of the delicious food I was consuming. There was not a single item/chaffer that wen't empty for more than a few minutes. Everything was hot, fresh and well-made. Desserts were plentiful, too. Linda was our server, and although she was new, she did a fantastic job and checked on us many times. Thanks, TB!!!

We both have always loved the salad and soup bar there (matter of fact, I'll often just order that for lunch or dinner), and as always, the soups were hot and tasty and the salad bar offerings were fresh, and the area was well maintained and cleaned. There were several choices for both breakfast and lunch entrees; I enjoyed the fried fish and beef burgundy, while my husband said both the fried chicken and the beef (I think it was prime rib) were good, but the beef was on the tough side. The French toast was puffy and moist, but the Belgian waffles were hard and bone dry. The scrambled eggs were rather dense, but the bacon, sausage, and cheesy potatoes were, we agreed, flavorful. The dessert selection was meager, primarily cookies and some bar cookies, and the breakfast pastry selections were rather tasteless and beginning to harden. I'd guess they'd been out for awhile. Our pleasant server was prompt with keeping our beverages topped off and clearing the table. This restaurant, due to its rustic look, is always darker than most restaurants; as this was daytime and our dining air had few windows, brighter lighting would have been nice.
