    A Wreck
    Angi M.

My co-workers and I came for lunch. It does get pretty busy during lunch time but the staff does a good job of getting every in and out fast. They had a lot of menu options, anywhere from sandwiches to salads. I ordered the A Wreck with multigrain bread. The bread was really soft and not dry at all. This place is perfect for a quick lunch or catching up with friends!

The Italian hot, not super bready.

Today I had to visit an old friend, when I lived in Chicago and Potbelly's was a single location on Lincoln ave it was a good weekend when we had a sandwich and a shake. Since moving and them franchising I have not been back much so today I would lunch here. The Brookfield location was packed with a line on Saturday afternoon for lunch so that's a good sign. I'm going to get my favorite, the Italian hot minus the shake. You can top your sandwich any way you want, I say everything for all. The sandwich is just different enough to separate them from all the other franchises out there. The sandwich is tasty on fresh bread with a chew to it but it's not very bready like other chains. For me the mayo, mustard and pickles combination with the other toppings is what I like about the sub sandwich. If you have never had one, you need to try one and you will understand what makes them different from other chains. Oddly enough my experience vs the Capitol Dr location was better because the Capitol Dr sandwich was less meaty and bread vs meat ratio was like 95 % bread vs meat, see my pictures because the same sandwich looks completely different and why I was in no hurry to go back to Potbelly's in WI.

The first Potbelly I visited was in Baltimore, and I've been a fan ever since. This location in Brookfield is nice. The dining room is pleasant and so is the outdoor seating as long as the weather cooperates. I've been here twice this trip. First time I got roast beef original size with provolone, and it didn't seem to have enough meat. So this time I asked for extra meat and there is enough now. I changed up the cheese and got cheddar, but preferred the provolone. There is a double meat option and I think that would be too much!

The Potbelly franchise restaurant group has, in my opinion, the best hero/sub sandwiches of all the fast food places like it; I mean (much) better than Subway and Cousin's. This location is right on!

Mushroom melt I received from Potbelly's on 03/17/12. Totally flattened and crumpled.

Normally I love coming to Potbelly's, but my experience yesterday made me question if I want to come here again. I had the mushroom melt - which sounded awesome. What I got was a flattened, tiny little scrunched up sandwich. I normally don't complain about anything at Potbelly's, but the sandwich I got yesterday was pretty disappointing. (see the uploaded picture). Also, if you go, make sure you don't go on a Saturday after a soccer match. SOCCER MOMS EVERYWHERE. It was chaotic.

No ice. Empty sodas. Greasy tables. Nothing remedied or attempted while we dined in. Not great experience unfortunately.

Love their sandwiches. The spicy peppers are what makes them better than any of the other local sandwich places.

I saw a picture of their breakfast burrito on social media and made plans to stop the next day. In addition to the breakfast burrito, which came with a side of hash browns, I ordered cheddar broccoli soup and was gifted a brownie for visiting. The breakfast burrito is build your own with a bunch of different options for meats, cheese, and veggies. I went with bacon, American cheese, and spinach and wasn't disappointed. The burrito was hefty and every one of the ingredients stood out. This is something I would definitely come back for. The three hash brown patties tasted as you'd expect and I appreciate that they weren't cold in the middle or bland. You can definitely notice the freshness in the soup. It was thick and used actual florets of broccoli, not just the stalks. Given the size of the burrito I had just eaten, though, I wish there was an option for a smaller portion of soup. The bowl was large and if you just plan on having that as a meal it's fine, but I would have preferred buying a cup as compared to a large bowl. Hopefully that's something they consider as a menu tweak. I'm not a big brownie person, but I enjoyed it. Like the burrito and the soup, it was a sizable portion, so worth the price if you're buying one. I'd be interested in trying their lemon bar or coffee cake on a future visit as those are more up my alley. I enjoyed talking to the woman who was prepping the dining area while I was there. She mentioned that Senor Luna's next door is their sister location and that Miss Daisy's has such early hours (currently 5am during the week) so as to cater to the nearby business park. I appreciate the early hours because I can easily make it there and back over to where I work in plenty of time.

We just wanted a drink and a quick bite to eat and being during a baseball game, lots of places in the area were busy. There was a good crowd there watching the game as well. It's an interesting setup, reminds me almost of a living room (with dining tables) and then the small bar area is to the side. To order food, you do it through two wall kiosks which I like because you can look at options and not feel rushed unless there's a line. Outside they have tables and a tv as well. I choose a veggie sandwich which had a good kick to it! The smaller size was good enough for me. It was a bit confusing how to get your food, from what we understood, you have to go through a door to get to the kitchen window (bathrooms are that way too) but no one calls your order number or anything. I'd suggest an improvement on that way you know your food is ready or maybe we missed something. Overall, I would return and would like to try other items on the menu!
