I was drawn to the Japanese pan noodles, but I regret it now. The noodles were not the right texture at all; they were chewy in the wrong way, either under or overcooked. I also ordered a regular size while my friend ordered a small size, but the portions appeared the exact same, just one in a larger bowl. Of course, you don't necessarily come here for a gourmet meal, so I'm not necessarily disappointed, and the fact that this business has stood the test of time in the Village while many other food establishments couldn't survive here speaks for itself. read more

We had a dish apiece and some potstickers. She had Pad Thai and I had the Korean Beef Ramen. Not bad. A reasonable facsimile to authenticity, but more like the McDonald's of Asian cuisine. Please pick one category, do it right instead of doing it all, not overly well. That's my advice. Today I ordered med salad with chicken. It was missing olives and cukes which they happily added. Truthfully I usually pick out olives anyway but a med salad must come with them. Chicken was cut by a drunk blind person. Some pieces were 2 cm. others 4 inches. My youngest daughter went to a Noodles & Company about a week ago for the first time with a teammate and ever since, she has been telling me that we need to try it as a family. I've passed by so many, but honestly, I had no idea what kind of restaurant it was. I mean, have you ever seen a Noodles & Company commercial or advertisement? I have not. We entered the restaurant and there were only a few patrons inside. We were greeted with a friendly welcome and I asked the cashier what was good. She had nothing to say, but continued to smile as if we were speaking a foreign language. Lol. My girls looked to me for advice and I turned to trusty Yelp for help. They ended up ordering the Penne Rosa with spicy tomato sauce, added shrimp and their friend kept it simple with spaghetti and meatballs. I ordered the Thai Hot Pot and cheesy bread to share. All in all, our meals were not bad at all. My girls commented that my spicy tomato sauce is much better but when you're hungry, theirs would suffice. One thing is all of our meals were quite bland, but tasted good. We had no complaints. The sliced hot cherry peppers added a kick to my dish and the broth was delicious. The chick and pork tasted like rubber though. I pushed to the side. Cheesy bread was awesome, but the slices were small for the price. Noodles & Company specializes in serving up familiar noodle and pasta dishes. The selections are broadly categorized as Asian, Mediterranean, and American. In making a selection, you choose a base noodle/pasta dish and then decide what will accompany it. Asian noodles includes Japanese Pan Noodles (Udon), Pad Thai, or rice noodles. Mediterranean choices are penne pasta or linguine. American selections are down-home Stroganoff, egg noodles, Macaroni & Cheese, and Spaghetti & Meatballs. Salads are also available. I've come to like the Japanese Pan Noodles with steak, Pad Thai with chicken, and . the Mushroom Stroganoff with beef. I add a side Caesar Salad to the noodle bowl. I like the salads at Noodles & Company, too, especially the Chinese Chop Salad. A big hit this sumer has been the Summer Salads. The Backyard Barbecue Chicken Salad is he best item the make! Quality place. While it is a chain, it is one of the better ones and this location in particular is well kept. It is always clean, the staff is courteous and helpful, and I have never had an issue. They followed with with substitution request of no tomatoes in place of broccoli and put a good amount of broccoli in it. They allow you to sub with a lot of veggie options which is nice. In addition, I ordered the garlic bread. Everything was pretty tasty and hit the spot. You have a choice of portion sizes, which is great for days when you want a lighter portion. A choice of meat, sauce, and noodles are all offered to create your meal to your liking. The cashier that assisted us was extremely nice and was patient with my co-worker and I while we were ordering. The restaurant itself is very clean and has plenty of seating inside. They have one of those Coke soda machines that offer a variety of beverages. Who'd a thunk, noodles... oh well - it's a noodle lover's eatery! I've had to opportunity to visit a few of these shops in the area and I've been surprised at the consistency among them. This site is no different in that staff is attentive, well versed, courteous and the dish selection, quality and taste are very good for the price. My favorite tends to be the Stroganoff selection, but all that I have tried have turned out good. For the price, it is a huge improvement over the same you would pay at another 'fast-food' joint. Locations are convenient, clean, fairly comfortable and enticing to eat in... it's also nice that you don't have to stand around waiting for your order, as they bring it to your table! As long as they keep doing it well, I'll be back occasionally to get my noodle on. read more

Food itself was fine, but lemme just say, customer service is SO not their forte. I ordered carry-out, three dishes in total, and came home to find mistakes in two of the three. I'd been charged for chicken on one of my orders that, lo and behold, had not a sign of chicken in it (which was an incredible bummer because when you're looking forward to a dish, you're looking forward to the whole dish as you ordered it damnit, not some variation thereof). Meanwhile, another order had a piece of beef in it when it shouldn't have, which wasn't the end of the world but was still pretty annoying. This, mind you, was AFTER having confirmed each of the three orders with staff before even leaving the restaurant! Apparently it was naive of me to think they'd know what they were doing and I should have instead opened up each of the to-go containers and dug around to ensure all the orders had the right ingredients... Anyway, the bottom line is mistakes happen, but that's where good customer service comes in - sadly, here there was none. When I called and politely expressed disappointment at the incorrect order, the lady on the phone first tried to map me back to their recent receipts and eventually disinterestedly mentioned I could come back and pick up a replacement (because I totally have that kind of time, right?!). When I said that wouldn't be possible at the moment, she said I could come by later and pick up a free bowl by mentioning her name and saying she authorized it. I'm not really convinced that'd work, and it's not worth it for me to make a trip out there to find out. But far more importantly - how can you listen to a customer's complaint like that and not even have the decency to say a simple "sorry"?!? There was no apology at all, and that left the worst impression. I realize it may have been a one-off occurrence (though other reviews on here tell me that's likely not the case), but I'll avoid going back here if I can help it regardless. read more

I can't even remember the last time I've been to a noodles but they've always had many options and everything I've tried have been delicious. Their menu has changed and their area lot more options and you can customize your order. I was happy to see that they had zucchini noodles as an option and I had to try it. I got the noodles with the penne rosa sauce and steak. It wasn't bad but just more watery than usual. My sister ordered her usual which was the pesto with meatballs and she ate her whole bowl before I was even half way through so I'm guessing she enjoyed her meal. I use to order their flatbread with my meal but it doesn't look like they have it anymore and replaced it with garlic bread. How sad. The tables and bathrooms were clean and staff was friendly. I'm not one to write reviews on 'fast foodish chain restaurants' but I'm not sure why this location has such low reviews. First off, I come here quite often and the dining room always seems to be clean. The staff is very attentive and always have a friendly demeanor. My orders are always complicated (yes I'm that customer managers train staff members for). I tend to customize my order a lot and bless their hearts for putting up with me. Anyway, the quality of food at this location seems to be the best amongst all the other N&Co's I've been to. They're very consistent and I've never been disappointed. My favorite noodles are the Japanese Pan and the Pad Thai! Cons: If you are To-Going your food, please check your paper bag! 10/10 they'll forget an item so you'll be a sad Charlie Brown if you find a missing item once you're ready to grub! The food is always good here but why is the restaurant always so cold? It's not comfortable sit and eat with the temperature. Last year I found pieces of a broken dish in my food and ended up with a piece in my mouth and nearly broke a tooth. Good thing wasn't cut or hadn't swallowed it. We were fully intending on going to Wingstop, but made the last minute decision to stop in here instead, which was the better choice! Being first timers we didn't know the menu or anything and Shaunze did great walking us through and making sure we had no food allergies. When are food came it was terrific and a lot more than I expected. I had the Korean Beef and it had a great kick and the spaghetti and meatballs must have been good because my SUPER picky 4 yr old inhaled it. As we were finishing up Shaunze came over to clear some bowls off our tables and was really friendly and chatty which was nice when so many our standoff-ish and seem to genuinely hate their jobs. I was there a couple weeks ago getting food. It was a Sunday and seemed quiet in there, only a couple other people eating and most of them were outside. The place was really dirty. Pieces of food on the floor, crumbs on the tables. They looked like they didn't have a whole lot of business so I don't know why they didn't have someone out there cleaning off the tables. We picked the table with the less mess and I just took a napkin and wiped it off myself. Also had to wipe off my chair, someone previously spilled food on it and it had dried on. I got the med sandwich with a Caesar side salad. The salad was not good. The bowl was freezing cold as if they just pulled it from a fridge, and the lettuce wasn't fresh. The dressing was bland, even that didn't taste fresh. My sandwich was hot and had good flavor but it was dripping liquid like mad. Didn't taste like sauce, just looked like watery broth. What was that about? Did they boil the chicken and then stick it on a pita? I have no clue. Next time I have a craving for Noodles I'm going to Kingstowne. I got the salad with grilled chicken and my friend ordered pasta with chicken that looked really tasty. This location off Old Keene Mill Road is always crowded but the line do go quickly. Since this was my first time here, I was cautious and ordered something that no American establishment could possibly go wrong at. My wife loves asian food so we've actually eaten here before and I do like this place, however I had one pretty bad experience lately. I have to admit that we usually only have our food delivered to us from this place but last weekend we were in the neighborhood and decided to have dinner there. It was odd.The restaurant gave the impression that it was just tired. Like everyone in the staff had had a looooooong day. There was food on the floor and hardly any people, chairs were pulled out but empty. It looked like they just had a party and everyone ran out without a care in the world. We took our seats and ordered. I decided to have the steak this time, because I was wondering how a noodle place would put a little asian flare into a steak. Here's the answer... there was no flare. That steak was rubbery and bland, serves me right for ordering a steak in a noodle joint.
