Shrimp Fried Rice
Hammed A.

Overall an OK experience. I was expecting more flavor from the Fried Rice and Lo Mein and quite honestly I rarely use soy sauce for Asian cuisine however on this occasion I needed to. Not bad however nothing to want more of. This restaurant won an award in 2011 for Overall Customer Experience. This restaurant is tucked nicely at the end of the corridor in this business hall. You won't see it from the main walkway, so if driving you'll need to get out of your car and walk up to the corridor. It was very quiet on the inside with no other customers but myself. There was seemingly no heat on in the restaurant and this was during winter in February. It was rather chilly on the inside. Overall an OK experience. If in the area I will give them another try. Give them a try and see what you think.

C21 General Tso Chicken

This was my first time ordering from here and I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the Hunan Shrimp, General Tso Chicken, the Jumbo fried chicken wings with French Fries and 2 Spring Veggie Rolls. The Hunan Shrimp I ordered extra spicy with just broccoli and snap peas and it was soooo good! I am happy about this because I tried these at other places and they weren't as good. The General Tso Chicken was just ok for me but my friend really liked it so I guess it depends on each persons taste. The Jumbo fried chicken wings with French Fries was really good as well! The seasoning on the chicken was perfect and fried to perfection! The 2 Spring Veggie rolls were so good! It was fried and free with my order. I also love the fact that they do not use MSG. I will def order from here again!

We ordered supper to be delivered to our hotel, The Faimont Marriott accross the street, expecting the standard Chinese food experience. We were pleasently surprised by the speed that it was delivered and how hot the food was. More than that was the great quality of the food and the value per dollar spent. The large hot and sour soup was one of the best we've had; filled with tofu - watercress-green onions- chili peppers and not salty with corn starch thickener. Really delicious. We also had 905-564-6881he chicken with vegetables and steamed rice combo that came with a crunchy fresh spring roll. Both were mouth watering and tasty, again not too salty. Overall very good Traditional American Chinese food that rivals great Chinese food in Montreal. Highly recommend this restaurant. Howard B.

You call that General Tso? I don't think so. Hardly any batter at all. I know other places like to go crazy on the batter with hardly any chicken. Here's the opposite. Perhaps some people think that's a good thing, but it's not like you get more chicken. I only got 4 midsized pieces of chicken. Portion felt disappointingly light, and sooooooooo not worth the wait. Be warned this is for take-out and delivery. No tables to eat at. And it's not easily visible from the shopping store fronts. You'll need to walk through toward the back of the building to get there.

This is my spot when I want Chinese take out for lunch at work. Lunch menu is cheap and it's good. I have been back here so many times that I forget to take the pictures. I recommend the Sesame chicken and the House Party Wings. I willingly return to eat here again.

We came here for an early lunch, and we ordered: +Crab Rangoon - triangular-shaped, generously filled with the cream cheese/crab mixture; could have been a bit more crispy, as it was slightly chewy; the sweet & sour dipping sauce was a great complement +Chow Fun - we opted for the beef as a protein; the noodles were extremely wide, which was great; you can kick it up with chili oil and soy sauce; beef were plentiful +Mongolian Beef - lots of onions and scallions, this had a good flavor; you can add more of a saltiness to it with soy sauce This is definitely a family-run and -operated eatery, as the youngest son was taking orders and manning the register; all orders were made-to-order, so what you will be receiving will be super fresh! The owners were very kind, friendly, and attentive! There were a couple of tables inside, so we chose to dine in. Everything tasted fresh, not at all salty, and prepared with care and love. I'd love to try out their lunch specials and other chef specialty entrees on the next visit. Plenty of parking in the shared strip plaza lot. +fresh Chinese eats +made-to-order items +friendly service +plenty of parking in the strip plaza lot

This is a family-run restaurant and it was great to see that they had their very young son manning the counter and the cash register in a totally professional way. The menu is straight-forward with the usual and expected dishes. One dish I did not expect to see, but did, were hush puppies! Everything we ordered for takeout was excellent. Portions are generous and inexpensive. Note: there are two tables in the restaurant if you prefer to dine in. We ordered egg drop soup, crispy pork wontons, Mongolian Chicken and Mongolian Beef. The egg drop soup was better than your typical egg drop soup, with a flavorful broth and silky but still hearty texture. The wontons were packed with pork and came with a tasty bright red dipping sauce that complimented the wontons nicely. The Mongolian Beef and Mongolian Chicken are the same dish, with the only difference being the meat. These dishes were very well prepared with just the right amount of onion, scallion and sauce. The beef had a delicious slightly smoky flavor and was cut into nicely shaped pieces. The Mongolian dishes automatically come with white rice. Speaking of the rice, it had a great texture and just the right amount of moisture. Take out orders may take up to a half hour for them to be prepared, but it is well worth the wait. We will be back.

Initially, we wanted…read moreto grab American brunch nearby, but the wait was over an hour, so we decided to go to Indochen. It's tucked inside of the hotel lobby, a bit odd, but the food was good. STEAMED CHICKEN MOMO (6) - 13 The chicken momos sat on top of a creamy chili garlic sauce that was a bit spicy. The momos were juicy and the filling was soft and flavorful. Good appetizer to share between the three of us. BUTTER CHICKEN - 19 Creamy and rich, tasted a bit sweeter than I was used to, almost like a chicken tikka masala. Pretty standard, but got the job done. Plenty of chicken in our curry. SAAG PANEER - 19 Vibrant green with the perfect loose, creamy texture that wasn't too chunky. Good amount of paneer in our portion. The spinach actually tasted like spinach, which I find rare at other restaurants that also serve saag/palak paneer. Definitely one of the better ones I've had! GARLIC NAAN - 4 Pretty typical, but good nonetheless. It was a bit greasy than I would have liked, but went well with the curries when we wanted to switch between bites of the basmati rice. Portions were pretty big and generous. Everything we ordered hit and all above average. The three of us were quite full after sharing an app + naan + two entrees. Stop by if you're in the area!

Always appreciate the minimalist yet still eloquently-decorated aesthetic of the restaurants, complete with a window to view the kitchen, which itself seemed relatively clean and well-kempt. Ordered the Woodear Mushroom and Mint Salad, and the Mogu Shiitake Mixian Ramen. The mushrooms were light and chewy, yet savory with citric and garlicky elements, and overall very refreshing. The ramen was solid in most respects, with a decent variety of vegetables and multiple proteins, including tofu, shiitakes, soybeans and marinated egg (which I enjoyed despite typically not liking hard-boiled egg too much). The noodles were a little bland, however, and didn't taste like they absorbed much of the broth. Overall, I'd say 4.5 stars are more accurate; YbP Noodle House is a regular haunt for me because the quality is there in most respects.

Staff kinda doing their own thing. Our waiter/manager (?) was also having to make drinks which took a while. (We finished our first apps before drinks even arrived.) Apps were good but still nothing over the top. Net net is not sure if worth hitting this spot again for a drive into Pentagon with other better Chinese options in the area.

The restaurant had a back section that looked like it could be used as a separate party room and more booths and table in the front. Our server was good. He checked in with us frequently and made sure to keep us informed on our food status after taking our order. We tried the scallion bubble pancake, walnut shrimp, Mr Zhangs red braised pork belly, and beef chow fun. The bubble pancake was fun and had a good crunch and served with like a curry dip sauce. I would say if you get this, you should eat it first/soonest since i enjoyed it more at first bite while it was hot. The walnut shrimp was good, the shrimps were the smaller ones that were an easy way to snack. The braised pork belly was so tender. It reminded me of char siu, flavor wise, as long as you're ok with the pork belly (aka fatty pieces). Beef chow fun was good. They used nice wide noodles that were cooked well, not too soft, and had good onions, bean sprouts, and other veggies. I would come back try other things!

The menu features many deep-fried items, and some dishes did not seem freshly made. While there are several types of dumplings, a closer look at the menu shows that many share similar fillings or wrappers, offering limited variety. We appreciated our server's honesty. We were interested in ordering the bento box, but he explained that it would take much longer because the kitchen was focused on brunch service and the chef would need to stop other tasks to prepare it. Overall, the prices seem to reflect the location more than the food, and the restaurant feels more like an Asian fusion spot. Most like for typical American.
