Overall an OK experience. I was expecting more flavor from the Fried Rice and Lo Mein and quite honestly I rarely use soy sauce for Asian cuisine however on this occasion I needed to. Not bad however nothing to want more of. This restaurant won an award in 2011 for Overall Customer Experience. This restaurant is tucked nicely at the end of the corridor in this business hall. You won't see it from the main walkway, so if driving you'll need to get out of your car and walk up to the corridor. It was very quiet on the inside with no other customers but myself. There was seemingly no heat on in the restaurant and this was during winter in February. It was rather chilly on the inside. Overall an OK experience. If in the area I will give them another try. A great local Chinese restaurant serving quality, fresh food at a great price point. The meat quality in particular has always been excellent; tender, juicy and with very little (if any) gristle. Flavors for the different dishes are always on point: my go-to choices are Mongolian beef, Kung Pao chicken, General Tso's chicken and any fried rice dish. The folks running the restaurant are friendly and helpful, never have had any issues there. The dining area is pretty small; it's definitely geared toward takeout (which is what I've always done). This was my first time ordering from here and I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the Hunan Shrimp, General Tso Chicken, the Jumbo fried chicken wings with French Fries and 2 Spring Veggie Rolls. The Hunan Shrimp I ordered extra spicy with just broccoli and snap peas and it was soooo good! I am happy about this because I tried these at other places and they weren't as good. The General Tso Chicken was just ok for me but my friend really liked it so I guess it depends on each persons taste. The Jumbo fried chicken wings with French Fries was really good as well! We ordered supper to be delivered to our hotel, The Faimont Marriott accross the street, expecting the standard Chinese food experience. We were pleasently surprised by the speed that it was delivered and how hot the food was. More than that was the great quality of the food and the value per dollar spent. The large hot and sour soup was one of the best we've had; filled with tofu - watercress-green onions- chili peppers and not salty with corn starch thickener. Really delicious. We also had 905-564-6881he chicken with vegetables and steamed rice combo that came with a crunchy fresh spring roll. Both were mouth watering and tasty, again not too salty. Perhaps some people think that's a good thing, but it's not like you get more chicken. I only got 4 midsized pieces of chicken. Portion felt disappointingly light, and sooooooooo not worth the wait. Be warned this is for take-out and delivery. No tables to eat at. And it's not easily visible from the shopping store fronts. I am writing this as a possible learning opportunity about customer service for the restaurant. I have ordered from this restaurant a number of times, always delivery. It is your typical Chinese delivery food. Nothing spectacular, but decent enough to return, specifically for their steamed healthy options. Delivery has been ok, except for a couple of long delivery waits. Tonight though, lost us as customers. I am going to try to keep this somewhat brief, but there is much more to this story. We had a typical order through GrubHub. They got the order wrong, forgot a soup, forgot a white rice, gave a fried dumpling instead of steamed, and most important - the 'healthy chicken's was bathed in sauce. I had to call the restaurant multiple times as each time I pulled something out, it was wrong or missing. Admittedly (and it was pointed out) I mistakenly ordered the fried dumplings...my fault. It is the chicken dish that really made my blood boil. After the third call, when I saw the sauce on the chicken, instead of refunding me for their mistake, the restaurant said they want to come back to my house to take it back and then they will refund me. Huh? What is the point of that and what would you do with the food if you did come to.my house? Serve it to somebody else? I told them this was ridiculous as I have 2 small children and by doing that, we would throw off of any evening schedule and were expecting this as dinner. Instead of understanding and just simply refunding our order or at least just give a credit for next time, I was lectured about Costco. I was told that if you buy something there and don't want it, you return it. That was demeaning and a completely different scenario than a food delivery. Taking food back from a customer makes me curious as to what they would do with the food after (is this a health code violation?). The long and short of it, they finally refunded me for 1 chicken, but not the other because of 'time, materials, and gas for delivery'. So, coming back to my house to get the food wouldn't have cost gas or materials, etc.? I was also told that this was an expensive meal, so they can't refund me. The cost of a steamed chicken is $9.25. Expensive? This could have easily been rectified immediately by refunding the meal as courtesy of a mistake, or at worst, credit for next time. Instead, I was on the phone with a restaurant for 45 minutes figuring out what they will do and arguing about an order. Szecuan Delight, I hope you use this example for a learning experience about what not to do with a customer. It not only wasted my time, but due to the frustration on the phone, ruined my evening as I am sure it ruined the evening for the person with whom I was arguing with on the phone. Understand going in that this restaurant is not trying to win a James Beard award. It's not fancy and not expensive. It is, however, that "hole in the wall" place you want to get on your way home from work or on a weekend when you're craving Szechuan. We ordered Crab Rangoon, spring roll, Chicken Pad Thai, and chicken & broccoli with fried rice. Spring rolls were good, but Crab Rangoon were small and crispy with very little filling. Pad Thai was good -- chicken was in small pieces and tender (not fatty at all). Note that the noodles were a bit mushy/overcooked, but that's what you're getting at this place -- nothing fancy -- just good, affordable food. The broccoli with chicken is exactly what we wanted. Just chicken and broccoli in sauce. No other vegetables or crazy additions. The fried rice was good, but I'm not sure I could eat it as a main dish. It's best as a side mixed with another main dish. While I wasn't expecting loads of shrimp, I was expecting more than 9 and not a bowl full of onions (see pictures) to mask the small amount of shrimp. In addition, there was very little curry sauce (maybe the large amount of slivered onions soaked up the sauce). Disappointed in the little to no curry sauce for the dish. If you are looking for authentic Chinese food, this place is not for you. If you are looking for good "Americanized" Chinese take-out, this place will hit the spot. Although I grew up in a Chinese family, every once in a while I crave the fried, saucy Chinese food that isn't exactly authentic. I ordered fried dumplings as appetizer, veggie lo mein, combination fried rice, crispy beef, and kung pao chicken. Of all the dishes, I only really enjoyed the combination fried rice and the crispy beef. Everything else was just "eh." The good: Crispy beef and combination fried rice had a good amount of flavor and satisfied my craving for chinese delivery food. The bad: The fried dumplings were pan fried, and a bit oily. The frying didn't seem to add any crispiness to the skin at all. The skin on the dumplings was also a bit thick for my taste (they used too much dough). I wouldn't order these again. The veggie lo mein was also a bit too oily and kind of bland, but salty at the same time. There just wasn't enough flavor there for me. The kung pao chicken was just "eh." It really just left no impression. Overall my bill was over $40, which was a bit pricey considering the quality of the food. However, for when I get those cravings for Chinese delivery every once in a blue moon I think I'd still come back and try a couple different items off of their menu. I ordered the lunch moo shoo chicken, crab rangoons, and an egg roll. The moo shoo was pretty bland, I had to use two packets of soy sauce just to give it some flavor. Also, I paid $1 extra for fried rice instead of white rice and I received a teeny tiny container of rice. The eggroll was hot and crispy, but there was no shrimp in it. The description said there should have been beef and shrimp inside - so that was disappointing. And lastly the crab rangoons were probably the best part of the meal. Although they had very little filling it was still tasty. The pricing for the restaurant was really good, which was another reason I decided to try this place. Their lunch specials range from $5-7!
