We just arrived from out of town looking for Italian. We're tired from driving so we think this place in the mall is casual. We were definitely underdressed but they let us in anyway. It's a beautiful restaurant with very friendly and helpful staff. Our waitress was amazing. Our merry group went for the family special of $50/pp. it sounds like a lot but they give you SO. MUCH. FOOD! We were up for the challenge. There's fresh rolls on the table and the first course is two salads, the Caesar and the Maggianos. Both are delicious, fresh croutons and the dressings are definitely made there. The Maggiano salad was my favorite. It had blue cheese, bacon and avocado. Also you can order refills. Next is your choice of two appetizers. We chose the meatballs (6 large ones) and the calamari fritte. The meatballs are delicious, a little "bready" but still large and good. The calamari was tender and cooked perfectly. Not chewy like at some places. Refills anyone? We had to pick 4 entrees...I thought a serving each but no. It's a serving for everyone at the table. Also, do you want more refills of anything? Holy cow!!!! Then three different desserts, again large enough to be shared. The butter cake was my favorite but hubby gobbled up the tiramisu. We recently went to Maggiano's Little Italy to celebrate my son's birthday, and it reminded me why this is one of my favorite go-to spots. My absolute favorite dish is the Alfredo pasta, and I always pair it with the Parmesan-crusted chicken and sometimes I'll add blackened shrimp, which I did this time. The Alfredo sauce is hands down one of the most flavorful I've had. It's buttery, silky, rich without being overwhelming, and they give you such a generous portion that you definitely leave satisfied. The Parmesan-crusted chicken is just as delicious. It's moist, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. Adding shrimp just takes it over the top. We also had the mozzarella sticks, and they were everything you want them to be, crispy on the outside and absolutely overflowing with cheese on the inside. Fresh, hot, and really delicious. I also have to mention their wine selection, which I really enjoy. Whether you want something light or something a little more bold, there are plenty of great options to pair with your meal. What I love most about Maggiano's is the atmosphere. You can truly make it whatever you want it to be. It can be a casual night out, a family celebration like we had, or even a romantic date night. It's been over a decade since being at Maggianos but it was nice to have lunch there today. My family and I decided to order family style and it was so much damn food. So let me tell you what I enjoyed. I liked the shrimp scampi, spaghetti and meatballs, and the butter cake. I do think their food was good but I also can say that I have had better at authentic Italian restaurants. What was amazing was our service because the waiters were so attentive and very pleasant. I like the casual atmosphere, but the restaurant design is very polished. I did not sit at the bar, but I do like the way it's set up. I enjoyed my smoked old-fashioned so much that I got two. Positive experience. Food was really good, and in very healthy portions. The restaurant is in the mall so there's ample free parking. The inside is nice, and matches every Maggiano setting, which you would expect from a national chain. Service was very good, and the server was very attentive, checking on us frequently. I must say that being from Texas and a frequent at Maggiano's that this location had me surprised. The ambiance at this location was incredible. We had the BEST server Nina and she seriously blew us away with her superior service. Good thing we had a reservation because there was a wait when we got there around 6pm on a Saturday night. We also got a great booth by the window so we could people watch. Our waitress was very busy but she was able to get our meal and drink orders quickly. I know this is a chain restaurant but the food is much better than the average Olive Garden. My boyfriend and I split the caesar salad (and he liked the strong anchovy flavor of it). The house bread was warm and perfectly baked. My bf got the chicken parmigiana and I got the rigatoni D which is my go to. So yummy. We had the chocolate layered cake for dessert and it was a huge slice. It may have put us over the edge. We typically go the Tysons location but decided to try Springfield located at Springfield Mall. Access to the restaurant can be through the mall entrance or the parking lot doors. The hostess greeted us immediately and we were seated. Our waitress was friendly, attentive and talkative. The chicken piccata was decent; however, lacked flavor. I have found that there is usually a more robust lemon flavor in this dish at other Italian restaurants. We will most likely go back and try other entrees. read more

Dear Maggiano's, please offer me a coupon, or buy one get one free. That would be a dream come true. All jokes aside I really enjoy this, and all of their locations. Haven't been to Italy, but have heard people I respect, say that this is extremely close. Works for me, as service is top notch. You can see they train their folks well, and it's an ideal setting for a date or get together. The ambiance is upscale but relaxed, and well thought out. During peak times make reservations. Best meals are chicken parmigiana or lasagna. Next want to try chicken Marsala, but will continue to feast on these delicious entrees. Tiramisu is beyond tasty. Their eye on appearance and huge generous portions, guarantee you won't go home hungry. Is it a bit expensive? Sure but far better than the Olive Garden. In my decade of going to this restaurant she was the best server I have ever had. I went to Maggiano's July 15, 2025 for a birthday. We selected this place because we went to an engagement wedding party in March 2025 and was impressed by the ambience and the delicious food & appetizers especially the crab cakes. We always said we would come back and eat dinner here to experience the food again. July 15 was a different experience with some differences. We got a booth seat for comfort instead of sitting in regular table & chairs. The restaurant is very stylish and busy for a week day night. I loved the Italian restaurant dark wood and posh ambiance. It was busy & crowded yet we were able to have a private conversation despite the many people eating around us. We ordered crab cake appetizers. Despite the crab cakes being $20 for two appetizers, they are the most delicious & succulent crab cakes I ever tasted and they came with a serving of sauce & an arugula cherry tomato salad. I ordered and tasted branzino for the first time, a fish entree I always wanted to eat after hearing about it many times. The Branzino Crab Imperial has Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Grilled Asparagus, Lobster Cream Sauce, and Branzino Fish, a Mediterranean fish, also known as European sea bass. My husband ordered the cheese ravioli entree. The crab cakes with lobster sauce & arugula salad were the tastiest and better than the crab cakes we had in March at Maggiano. The addition of the lobster sauce and arugula salad made it more perfect than the ones we had in the past. The cheese ravioli was not as delicious as the last cheese ravioli we had at the party yet it was still good. The branzino was so so. The extra lobster sauce I requested to add to the lobster sauce it came with made it more delicious though. It was good yet not as stunning as the crab cakes. I prefer fish entrees made at home over fish entrees in restaurants. Restaurant fish never tastes as fresh and succulent as fish cooked at home. Tina was our server and was very friendly, professional, & efficient. Food, drinks, & service were expedited quickly & pleasantly. Tina also produced a surprise birthday treat and honored our military discount. It was a very unique dessert with cookies with whipped creme & a white chocolate candy. There was a candle in a strawberry to blow for a birthday wish. Very beautiful and unforgettable birthday dessert. Maggiano's is the perfect place for a fancy date night and special party events. Yet, it is not a place I would frequently visit or order for takeout due to the different experiences I had with food there and economical reasons. The food is well displayed, delicious, and very satisfactory yet expensive. Entrees are $25 or more. Service is always excellent. Ambiance is spectacular. Having lived in Springfield for so many yearss, I'm surprised I have yet to try out Maggiano's until recently. I went here to celebrate a friend's birthday so I wasn't sure what to expect. The food was served family style where everyone can have a portion out of the dish and it was quite delicious and dangerous to my calories intake. I think for the appetizers we got calamari, salads, mozzarella. The salads were great and I'd even say I kept eating the calamari. It was very good! Our main course, we got Spaghetti and Meatballs, Fettuccine Alfredo, Rigatoni and Chicken Parmesani. Again, no complaints as it was really good and it filled me up. For dessert we had Lemon Cookies, Tiramisu, Cheesecake, and Chocolate Cake. I had a sample of all and my favorite was definitely the cheesecake. No bad options. Other than the food being delicious, the ambiance was also not too loud not it was too noisy which I really liked. First meal of the New Year! My family and I decided to pass through Maggiano's for lunch and were met with quick service by the greeters and waitress. We settled on the Family Experience and the service was timely. Shoutout to the staff on shift fresh off a New Year. I enjoyed the Beef Medallions the most but overall everything was well done. Today we visited the LEGO Center and then decided to eat at Maggiano's Little Italy in Springfield. Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. We had to wait almost 30 minutes just to get our food on the table. At one point, I honestly felt like they were ordering our food from another restaurant . My wife ordered a vegetarian pasta, I ordered chicken marsala, and for our kid we ordered pizza. Other than the pizza, none of the food tasted like Italian food at all. On top of that, there was a very strange smell coming from both dishes. Because of this, we couldn't even eat 20% of our meals. I ordered catering from this place for our office, and I would describe the experience as mediocre. The lasagna was terrible, and the spaghetti with meatballs was the worst dish. The mushroom ravioli wasn't great either; it had a bit of an overly sweet taste. The tiramisu was very strong, with a lot of alcohol content. On a positive note, the stuffed mushrooms were good. This experience was disappointing given the occasion. I made a reservation to celebrate my daughter's 4th birthday, hoping for a special dinner. Despite having a reservation, we still waited quite a while to be seated. Our server was friendly and acknowledged the birthday right away, saying, "we have something for her on the house at the end," which we appreciated. Before we ordered, he brought a birthday card signed by staff--thoughtful, but not something a 4-year-old could really enjoy or understand. The service overall was good, but the food was underwhelming. We were handed boxes before we even finished our meal, and once the check came, that was it. No dessert, no little gesture to make the evening feel celebratory, especially after the comment about something "on the house." I understand restaurants aren't obligated to do anything extra, but if you say you're going to, there's a level of expectation. Even a small scoop of ice cream or a candle would've made more of an impact than a card she couldn't read. Never had a bad meal, or a bad experience, at this location. The food is consistently delicious. The service is always friendly and attentive and the drinks are always consistently well-crafted. My faves on the menu are: - the fried mozzarella (the holy grail of cheesiness, if you ask me. Plain old mozzarella sticks could NEVER!) -the stuffed mushrooms (so much flavor packed into one little bite. A must try!) -the linguine and clams: such a simple dish but WOW do they do it well! It's buttery and garlicky and chock full of tender clam meat. Don't be deceived by few clams nestled on top for decoration; there's a TON of clam meat in this dish. You also might want to get another basket of bread to soak up all of that savory broth. The portion sizes are generous: more than enough to share, or enjoy later from the comfort of home. It's still warm outside as I write this, so my favorite cocktail at the moment is the "Puttin On The Spritz"...their take on an Aperol Spritz. I was never a fan of the Aperol Spritz before, but this one... ugh! Perfection!! So refreshing... and a great complement to a nice fish or seafood pasta dish. We brought my mom for Mother's Day here. The last time I was here was maybe 4 years ago, things went down hill since I guess. They had a set menu where the only thing you could pick was in main course. Everything would be in a shared style for the table. The opener consisted of salami, cheese, olives, and cottage cheese ? For $52 per person ( it was 4 of us ) person plus tax and tip, we were thinking " oh that sounds nice. We'll get a little bit of everything". Then, we received a tiny plate of four singular slices of salami, four little cubes of cheese, and a tiny scoop of cottage cheese. We started cutting everything up to make it last. Then we received ONE little loaf of bread cut into 4 slices with bland olive oil and pepper to dip in. We cut that up too, to the point where we started joking that they must be trying to keep us skinny. The appetizers came with four plates; fried calamari, Caesar salad, meatballs, and fried zucchini. This is where we were really starting to feel like it was WW2 and we had to hand out rations. The portions were kind of small and we had to keep putting food back on the shared plates so that everyone got a fair share. They only gave us three meat balls....with two slices of toast. We were cutting everything so that it would feel like more food. All this on top of very long times. Finally the appetizers were served at 9pm( we got there at 7:45pm). We ordered chicken piccata, salmon, fettuccine Alfredo, and some time some type of crab or fish in orange sauce. It looked like they gave us half a slice of salmon cut into pieces. You already know the drill.... We started further cutting it up. The crab dish was so small, it would have been insulting if you were served that as your entree. The fettuccine Alfredo was basically naked. I've never seen Alfredo pasta with such little sauce that it tastes like butter noodles. We finished off with a slice of chocolate cake, tiramisu, and some lemon cookies ? to share. Also included in the price. In hindsight, the amount of food is okay for the price. The quality and the wait time was the issue. It would've been nice to have these little things to snack on if the food took like 20-40 minutes, but it took over an hour. By the time we got the actual food, we asked for boxes to pack it in because we had already filled up on bread and drinks. It wasn't even worth the wait. Nothing about any of the dishes had you thinking " oh this is good !". We would not come here again.
