I was super excited to see a chef fully hand-pulling noodles the second I walked in the door. You can't beat the consistency of noodles when that much work and love is put into its creation. We ordered the beef noodle soup, dan dan noodles, and pork buns to go. The noodles were superb - bouncy, absorbed the flavors of the dish, and plentiful. The meat in the beef noodle soup was soft and tasty, but a bit fatty and in a smaller portion than I would've liked for the price. I loved how much green onion and pickled greens they put in as well. The soup was tasty, but too salty, we couldn't really enjoy just the soup. The dan dan noodles were pretty good. I've had lots of variations of dan dan noodles and theirs wasn't my favorite, but the noodles really carried. The pork buns were tasty. There wasn't much meat filling and they were already pretty small, so it left a little to be desired. Overall, I would visit again and try some of their other noodle dishes. read more

Dined here on Friday night with a few friends. Took us sometime to get a table - for a party of 6, we got on the waitlist calling the restaurant around 6.45 ish. By the time our table was ready, it was almost 8.15 pm. If you are a larger party, definitely account for the extra time to get a table, wont exactly be what Yelp waitlist tells you. I love dining at restaurants with a group, because then you can try so many things! We started with schezuan potatoes - almost like a wet salad, soup dumplings - good but wish they were piping hot, chilli oil dumplings - probably the best dish on their menu, the schezuan hotness was the highlight for sure, mushroom dumplings and the crustal dumplings - I did not try them but my friends liked them. The buns were good, very fresh, not too much dough which is always good. For mains, we got the Dan Dan - I really liked it but, hate to say that I've had better in Denver. The beef noodles were good and so was the chicken noodle - I loved the hand pulled freshness of noodles in all these dishes. I know there's a 10 of reviews for this place. And I know a ton of people love this place. But I had to go find out why. There are many options on the menu for food at this noodle house on 17th in Denver. They have rice dishes. and they have sumptuous knife cut noodles. They have hand-pulled ramen noodles - you can watch them pull the noodles right in front of you through a window to the kitchen - and they have appetizers with multiple options. They also have a fabulous drink menu. We opted for a steamed rice dish and a knife cut noodle dish. The sauces were so impressive. They blend it together so nicely. Everything popped with flavor. I also ordered the green tea which was a super green. We got the pork buns as well. That came out almost like a dumpling. We ate on the patio, which was very nice. It's a neighborhood setting so it's calm and the staff is lovely and jovial. The Art around the restaurant also drew me in. I would happily spend any afternoon here. read more

This has been on my list since it opened and I finally made it in. Overall, I really like the vibes. It's modern but still true to its culture and the food is still Chinese and not a fusion despite its location and interior. A really great hand pulled noodle addition to CO food scene. The xiao long bao were very delicious. It's definitely a one bite on a big soup spoon so you don't lose the soup. I ordered the Magic Beef Brisket Noodle Soup Spicy. And while it was good, to make it spicy, they just added a ton of chili oil which was a little odd. I think I should've ordered the Sichuan Broth instead. It was luck that their chili oil was tasty. The beef though were delicious. So tender. I could eat the beef over rice honestly. Overall, food was delicious. I do like that they have their own private parking lot. There's plenty of seats. Service is friendly. Food comes out pretty quick I think. I love to try their other beef dishes like the Mongolian noodles. read more

Okay Noodles by Nina, I see you!!! Absolutely loved everything we ate here. We ordered the Szechuan Shredded Potato Salad, Iberico Pork Wonton in Magical Red Sea Sauce, Magic Beef Brisket Noodle Soup with shaved noodles and Sichuan Dan Dan Noodle with hand pulled noodles. 10/10 on everything. The potato salad was spicy and crunchy and fresh. The magical red sauce was actually quite magical. It was spicy and bright and a little sweet to perfectly round out a great chili wonton dish. The shaved noodles were delightful. Density and chewiness on point. Same with the hand pulled noodles on the Dan Dan Noodle which was also so yummy. Loved this spot! And I'm the person that flies to Vegas to eat at the famous Shang Artisan Noodle to try their hand-pulled noodles. These are just as good. Nina, the owner, is a kind, lovely woman you'll see running around helping with every part of the restaurant. The rest of the staff are equally friendly and welcoming. The food is fantastic. My personal recommendations: some of the best pork dumplings in a spicy chili sauce I've had; whatever is in that black pepper beef fried rice is practically crack; and the star of the show is of course the beef noodle soup with amazing fresh noodles and the most tender beef in a flavorful broth. I really loved the Sichuan beef noodle soup here. The noodles are hand-pulled in house and had a great chew to them. The broth was flavorful, the beef was tender, and I especially enjoyed the pickled mustard greens, which balanced the dish nicely. I sat at the bar since it was busy and I was dining solo. Unfortunately, the bar area was a bit messy and the bartender seemed pretty overwhelmed. The bar counter hadn't been cleared, and it took about 10 minutes before I received water and a menu. Couldn't wait to check out this new noodle spot on 17th. Ambiance is very nice with plenty of indoor + outdoor seating. There is also a window so you can see them making the noodles. The egg rolls were delicious. Unfortunately, the two dishes we ordered (Mongolian beef and Kung Pao Chicken stir fry noodles) were rather spicy even though they were not noted to have a chili pepper on the menu. It was tough for us to enjoy through the spice since we are sensitive to it. That being said, if you enjoy spicy food you might enjoy this place more. read more

Parking lot was full but after making around the block, one opened up. Looks like there are plenty of parking but they were all full. Got seated right away. Place got busy quickly. The sesame flavor was very slight and easily missed. Glad I got it but bit disappointed of the serving size and the glass served in. Very abused glass that is the same one as the water glass with lots of wear mark. Definitely shows lack of finesse. More of a street vendor type. The cucumber salad with black fungus was refreshing. Chili peppers, sesame with spicy garlic vinegar sauce. Yum. The chicken with Taiwanese cabbage dumpling was presented in very nice manner. Pan fried mark on one side. Very unique looking dumpling with both ends open. When I bit into it, the dumpling skin was chewy like biting into rice cake. Very unique. However the filling was very dry which I expected but hope it would habe been better with the cabbage. Couldn't find the cabbage. Hidden somewhere? It was well worked into the chicken. Sichuan Beef Brisket Noodle Soup was delicious but definitely on salty side. Small chunks of beef brisket, baby choy sum and few others. Sichuan pickled mustard, cilantro and scallion all worked together very nicely without over powering. Overall, unique elevated experience especially the noodle being drawn nearby you while dining. This place is magic, all right--and only a few blocks from my house! My friend and I both had a busy day and thought takeout would be nice for a chilly movie night at my place. The Web site makes ordering easy, so I put some dishes together and headed off to pick them up. The store is in a standalone building which was previously a Qdoba. There's a spacious, private parking lot with about a dozen spaces. The main sign was dark, the parking lot lights were off, and the main entrance wasn't well-lighted, but the patio lights and glassed-in bar area beckoned from the darkness. My order wasn't quite ready so I sat on a bench in the small entryway for a few minutes. The tables were mostly full. The hostess said this was actually a quiet night and that they'd been continuously mobbed since they opened. There's a great view of the kitchen from the dining room. I enjoyed watching the chef working on the hand-pulled noodles as I waited. I soon made it home and we got to business. We started with the Beef Short Ribs with black pepper and the Seaweed Salad. The short ribs were sliced thin in the Chinese style and were tender and flavorful. The seaweed salad oddly came with mixed greens and was our least favorite item. It lacked the crisp freshness of a perfect version of this dish. Next we tried the Magic Beef Brisket and the Sichuan Beef Brisket noodle soups. These were cleverly packaged with the noodles in a separate tray above the soup so they could be added just before eating. The Sichuan was not very spicy, but both soups were fantastic, deeply-flavored, perfect noodles, and some of the most tender brisket I've ever tasted. My girlfriend was a little embarrassed about how quickly she slurped down the big bowl, but we both really enjoyed our dishes. We also ordered the Shanghai Braised Pork Belly & Fried Egg Rice. Again, the pork belly was amazingly tender and delicious. All of the food was nicely packaged, but the one odd note was that several of the containers were drenched in what appeared to be shrimp sauce (not a part of the order) and this leaked through the bottom of the bag. Rather careless of the kitchen, but fortunately no harm done. Magic Noodle House is indeed magic and a terrific addition to the neighborhood. There are lots of other interesting dishes to try. The noodles had an amazing chewy texture and the broth was flavorful but still very light. Mongolia Beef Sliced Noodle Stir-Fry: Obsessed with the noodle texture and beef tenderness! The flavor was nice and savory with great Asian spices, but way too salty for us. We also wish the onions were cooked longer so it didn't leave the raw onion flavor coating our mouths. Iberico Pork Wonton in Magical Red Sea Sauce: The pork was so tender and juicy! The sauce had a great umami flavor, but not really spicy. I have been excited about this restaurant since I first learned what its name was and what it was going to be. I live across the street and I've seen it go from in average looking Qdoba to a brand new concept. My wife and I finally found the time to try it out and we were not disappointed. We decided on a Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.; the restaurant was shortly after on a waitlist. Our server was very friendly and ended up giving my wife, a free glass and a half of wine because they ran out of her first choice. I had a Japanese G&T that was elevated by having a lotus flower frozen inside one big cube - nice touch. The ambience is open and lit enough to read menus. They have a small bar but the focus of the restaurant which is evident by the location is the kitchen where they're making noodles, etc. I am already looking forward to coming back because with it only being my wife and I I wasn't able to order a lot of items. We decided to go with the cucumber salad app, the soup dumplings, and we split the Kung Pow cut noodles dish. The cucumbers were cut in different shapes than I am used to and I have to say I really like them. The soup dumplings were excellent - I have never met a soup dumpling I didn't like :-) One of my favorite if not, the favorite Asian dish of mine is Kung Pow chicken. Having had it from countless places this one ranks up there was some of the best I've had. Because the noodles are freshly made the sauce sticks to them very well. The variations of vegetables you get in Kung Pow can vary greatly; with this being said I would've liked to have seen carrots and as far as I'm concerned there can't be enough peanuts :-) I am super excited that a really good restaurant has opened up across the street! Noodles was good but it felt undercooked and overcooked at the same time. The outside was overcooked and the inside was undercooked. The knife cut noodles was on the thicker side. The beef and broth had good flavor. Portion felt small and I was still hungry afterwards. My cup was dirty with lip marks and I told the waitress and she seemed hesitant to change out the glass, almost was going to be dismissive. My friends and I are tackling a list of Eight Denver Noodle Shops You Should Try This Year (Dave Chung on TikTok). Our first stop was Noodles By Nina. It was AMAZING. We went to the restaurant on a Thursday evening, and there was a 20 minute wait (not bad since the restaurant is a little small - best for groups of 4 or less). It was nice that there was a parking lot and lots of places close by to grab a cocktail while we waited. We were called when our table was ready. The cocktail list is original, fun, and on theme. I went with the sesame old fashioned, and loved it. We wanted to do family style for food, so we ordered the shredded potato salad, Iberico pork wonton in magical red sea sauce, spicy magic beef brisket noodle soup (knife cut noodles), and sichuan dan dan noodles (hand pulled noodles). The shredded potato salad was not what we expected, but it was cool to try something spicy and different. The wontons were out of this world with the perfect amount of spice, filling, and dough. As for the main courses, I can't choose between the soup and dan dan because they both were so tasty. The noodles were next level for both, and we were glad the server recommended knife cut noodles for the soup to make it easier to split. We loved that the sichuan in the dan dan had a good kick, but wasn't overpowering. It was also so cool to watch the noodles being made while we were dining. After trying Magic Noodle House last time, was hooked and went back to try other items on the menu. This time, the restaurant had its signage up, and the lunch crowd was much larger, pretty much packed indeed. In the open kitchen, the chef was energetically tossing and pulling noodles. Along with the crowd, quite a lively setting. Back to the food: ordered the Tomato and Egg Knife Slice Noodle, Black Pepper Beef Fried Rice, Crystal Mushroom Dumplings, and Avocado Salad. Tomato scrambled eggs was a Chinese household staple. Here, it was authentically prepared, with the signature soft, tender, juicy, and sweet texture and taste. The knife slice noodles were firm and springy, coated with the rich and savory sauce. The black pepper beef fried rice's sauce had a spicy aroma but not overly hot. The beef was tender and flavorful, and the rice grains remained distinct, neither too sticky nor soggy. The fried rice carried a delightful aroma and tasted excellent. The crystal mushroom dumplings was mentioned last time, so would not mention again here. The avocado salad, without excessive dressing, was refreshing and appetizing. Quite satisfied overall and ordered an extra tomato and egg knife slice noodle to go. We stopped by Magic Noodle on opening weekend, on December 13. We came in for lunch and there was a steady line of people as well as people who ordered take out that were waiting. There was no signage on the building so we actually walked by without knowing and had to turn around. We got the chili wontons which came out pretty fast. They were tasty but kinda thick and we felt like they sat under a heat lamp for a while. We then ordered the Sichuan beef noodles and the egg and tomato noodles. These took much longer to come out. A table that arrived after us got their food before us. Once arrived, the noodles were good and a decent portion. The Sichuan noodles weren't that spicy and only when the actual Sichuan pepper was eaten, was it spicy. The egg and tomato noodles were tasty with fluffy eggs, very reminiscent of my grandma's dish (minus the pork chops). It was a big portion and I had enough to take home and make 1.5 more meals. We did overhear some of the staff apologizing for delays (a lady was waiting quite a while for her take out order) as it was opening weekend. There was also a spilled glass of water and puddle on the floor from a different table the entirety of our meal that no one cleaned up. The food is solid but there are a few things for the restaurant to improve on. We will return to try again. read more

A friend recommended we come here and super glad he did. We like to eat early for dinner or a late lunch which meant 3 pm today. We were pleasantly surprised to see a half full restaurant when we arrived turn into a full restaurant by 4. And for good reason. My husband and our friend got the pork soup dumplings and I tried the mushroom dumpling. The mushroom dumpling was packed full of flavor and absolutely delicious. For my main I went with the spicy brisket hand pulled soup. It was fantastic. I drank every lost drop. My husband went for the Mongolian beef hand pulled noodles. Also fantastic. Our go-to for Asian food in Colorado. This is our default spot whenever family or friends are in town, or whenever we're craving good Asian food. Some context: we recently moved from San Francisco and were a little worried about finding good Asian food out here. I'll be real. In SF, this place wouldn't crack the top tier, but it would still be considered solid, and for Colorado it's become our reliable favorite. What we keep ordering: the cucumber salad is a must, and the Mongolian beef with the sliced (knife-cut) noodles is the standout. The knife-cut noodles soak up the sauce way better than the handmade ones, so I'd go that route. The pork wontons and chicken potstickers are both great too. We recently brought our vegetarian friend from NYC and got his honest take: he wouldn't recommend the shredded potato salad, the mushroom dumplings, or the crystal vegetable dumplings, but he did really like the vegetable stir fry, so there's a solid veg option if you order right. The flavors of the items were good. I think the expectation of going to a place that sells handmade noodles is that there will be variation in the size of the noodles, but what we received was extremely crudely cut/unrefined. I've had handmade noodles from a number of different places, but they've always had some level of finesse to them -- these were completely lacking in that regard. I also ordered their kung pao with white rice, and it was very disappointing -- with the sauce pre mixed with the rice (first time I've ever gotten food where that was the case, maybe this was meant to hide the lack of kung pao chicken? Not sure). Both of those things are fixable, and I hope they do address that. read more

HAND PULLED NOODLES!!!! Ok, for starters, be ready to wait. They dont take reservations. BUT it is WORTH the wait. You can watch the cooks in the back working hard hand pulling the noodles. It only makes you hungrier as you wait. We went as a party of 4 and ordered a lot of things so we could try a little bit of everything. Highly recommend. Update: The owner, Nina, got in touch with me and kindly offered a redo lunch. My husband and I went this past Monday. We ordered different entrees this time - Black pepper beef fried rice for him and dan dan with knife cut noodles (pro tip: if you like a thicker fettuccini-type noodle, go for the knife cut option; if you like something more akin to spaghetti, go hand-pulled) for me. Service was impeccable - our server was on top of our drinks and food came out quickly. He also told us to try the XLB soup dumplings. That was a great recommendation - they did not disappoint! Entrees were also yummy. I liked the amount of numbing chili oil in my dish and my husband said the quality of the meat in his rice was good.
