    Poke bowl

I'd never been here before but I saw the reviews and 24 hours later. Here I am driving an hour from Blackwell. I have to say the food was amazing but the staff could have been friendlier. I went with my wife (both of us had never been) the woman was very short and rude and didn't want to be there. The food made up for it. I spent $40 on 2 bowls 2 energy drinks and 2 splitty rolls

Came into this spot of Friday night, and I was pleasantly surprised ! Naturally, you shouldn't expect much in a college town however this place was different. I got the shrimply amazing poke bowl and it was hefty! I got to eat it for two meals and the price point was fair. Loved that all the ingredients was fresh and mixed right in front of you. My mother got a fried roll and she really enjoyed it!

Pretty good poke bowls! We went at 5:30pm on a Friday night and it was pretty busy for a rainy evening. The only thing the place was lacking was maybe some music playing in the background. HEADS UP: this is not a full service restaurant - you order your food at the counter and they build it in front of you (bowls and burritos), for the sides and sushi rolls they give you a number and bring it to your table.

I'm impressed. Actually, I'm blown away! My mom and I were in Stillwater for a baseball game and we were craving anything besides burgers and bbq (no-offense)... we were surprised to find this new concept/fast casual poke restaurant. I was amazed by the quality! I've had poke in Hawaii so my standards have been set pretty high.... this place is probably the best I've had in Oklahoma! Hands down. The ambience was welcoming and modern. And the customer service was outstanding! Their menu is simple but at the same time, the options vary so your taste buds can go on a sushi/poke adventure! I had the sushi burrito (I've only had these out-of-state so I was excited to see one on the menu) and wow, that first bite blew my mind! It was super crispy, savory and fresh! Adding wonton chips was genius!!! And you get a lot of food for only $10. My mom had some shrimp tempura & miso soup and she enjoyed it! She said the miso soup was full of flavor! If I was a college kid in Stillwater, I be a regular! It's that good and I would want to try everything on the menu! Go ahead and give Nooki a try if you're in the area!

Definitely will come back here again next time when I visit Stillwater. The combination is perfect. Specially their sauce is really good and makes everything in the bowl delicious! Don't forget put their cucumber pickles into your bowl! It's soooo yummy.

It was our first time here, really good and decent prices. Enjoyed the casual atmosphere. The people there were helpful as well.

We had to order take out that we knew would be ready on time and easy to pick up for lunch. Another requirement for this day was that I couldn't try anything new and different, because I was about to be leading a zoom conference for the next several hours. Had to go with something I knew would agree with my picky digestive system. So yes, my choice of menu items may look like a child ordered, but it was out of necessity. Both items were delish! And now I know my super picky fourteen year old will have a menu item when I get this for our family! Because I will he ordering from here again! The chicken was messy, but oh so good. The fries were the perfect crispy on the outside, soft on the inside! The price was a little more than what I'm used to paying for lunch, but it was worth it to have something so great and not have to be late for my meeting. You definitely need to try Nooki!

Stopped here to pickup dinner after a Oklahoma State baseball game. Place seemed extremely popular. I liked the countertop order style. I got the Samurai Roll and a poke bowl with salmon. Samurai Roll was tremendous and the poke bowl was really good too. I was surprised with how big the bowl portion was. Would definitely go back if I was in the area

I just got sushi from there like 20 minutes ago and it is horrible!! It is falling apart. I can't even pick it up with a fork or chopsticks. It's ridiculous I have a picture before I ate it and you can already see how loosely rolled it is. And not so mention the seaweed is sooo soggy

This is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE PLACE TO EAT IN STILLWATER!…read more I always order the small ribeye with the sweet broth. I smother it in the sweet sauce given to you once your meat is served and wrap it in cabbage, and it's just to die for. I always leave having eaten too much food, but incredibly satisfied. This place is definitely an acquired taste, and you have to find the meat (and broth/sauce combos) that's right for you. I love that they give cabbage instead of lettuce (unlike many hotpot places). You can also reorder rice and not be charged for it! So great!! The environment is low-lit and comfy; it looks a little old in there. The service has always been so great, with waiters/waitresses that are so patient and more than willing to walk you through the menu. I've never waited for very long there, either. It's always been a great and positive experience. The pricing is on the higher side, and for a college student, that isn't ideal. I usually eat here once a month, or more if I can afford it. I'd eat it daily if I could, seriously. That would be my only complaint about the restaurant. But in this economy, I don't blame them. Overall, if I could eat this place for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, I would. Seriously, it's that good.

Incredible food; abysmal service. Stillwater has the luck of enjoying a kitchen staff that…read moreunderstands how to execute shabu shabu well. They also have somehow paired this lovely kitchen staff with some of the worst servers in existence (the bar for quality service is already low in a college town and someone Tokyo Pot has found people that can't even meet that low standard). During a 70 minute dinner this past week, we saw our emotionless server a complete total of two times. Once, when we were able to place a drink and food order, and then again, when they came by to ask if we were done and unceremoniously leave the machine we could pay our check with. The kitchen staff did a fantastic job of bringing our food (which was wonderfully prepared and tasty), but we really could have used another round of drinks, at a minimum. If you're going to hire people who only do the bare minimum, don't expect much repeat business

This was our second visit to Nagoya restaurant. I wanted to try it again to give it a second chance…read moreas the first visit was so-so. The restaurant is ok. It's clean, and the lighting is ok as well. Nothing to call home about. Although the booths need some work. But they're not terrible. They have lanterns hung up around the restaurant ceiling. One thing that immediately stood out to us when we got there (this is a Japanese restaurant plus a hibachi or teppanyaki style restaurant as well) is that when we got sat on the restaurant side is the number of menus we got. I don't know if they didn't have enough or what the deal was but we were a party of 4, but only got 2 menus. So we had to share menus. The server came over pretty much right away to see what we'd like to drink and if we'd like to order any appetizers. We also ordered 1 order of tuna roll as an appetizer. As it's a bit expensive which is pretty on par when it comes to sushi. Especially in a landlocked area like OK. So that wasn't a big deal. My kids and husband said it was pretty good but the sushi looked a bit skinny in my opinion but they were ok with it. This visit I order pork katsu, my 2 kids ordered chicken katsu and my husband order the combo of tempura and teriyaki steak (steak was supposed to be cooked to medium rare, it was cooked to very welllll done!) also my husband asked for no teriyaki sauce as he said it was way too sweet and overwhelming when he ordered it the first time. The pork katsu was ok but a bit dry. All of the dishes came with the following: rice, miso soup, a side salad with a ginger dressing (which was strangely neon orange, and the "garnish" was a maraschino cherry(?)). Also you get a bowl of the katsu dipping sauce as well. The miso was good the salad but the salad dressing was super sweet (along with the oddly neon orange color) and had no ginger flavor. The chicken katsu was good as well. The kids said it was what it was. Again with a maraschino cherry as a garnish. Which again is odd. LOL but it's fine. Not the expected garnish for platters. Usually it's shredded cabbage. But hey if it works for them that's fine. My husband ordered the combination tempura and teriyaki steak with no teriyaki sauce. (My husband said that the last time the sauce was way too overwhelming and sweet). The server asked how he wanted the steak to be cooked, which was medium rare. The steak wasn't medium rare, it was actually very well done. It wasn't seared from what I could see, it looked almost like it was steamed. And the tempura was 2 pieces of shrimp, sweet potato, onion, you also get 2 pieces of shumai or shrimp dumplings and 4 pieces of California roll sushi. My husband said there was a bit too much mayo. He said also the meal was ok. Nothing to call home about. We got our food pretty quick. Which was great. Unfortunately when the food was delivered to us there was a fork stabbed into each and every bowl of rice! In my culture that's bad luck. It was quite shocking to see but I know that's not something that the restaurant would know per se. Maybe I'm just being overly sensitive. But I guess per the server the owners are Chinese. I don't know if the Chinese culture has the same thing but as a Japanese American I was always taught don't stick a fork, knife or even chopsticks into a bowl of rice upright. That is bad luck. So it really bugged me. LOL The biggest thing that I had an issue with was when we left was when we left. We asked for the check which we got pretty quickly. And we gave the server the our card, he scanned it and brought it back for signing. He then came back and said uh actually I gave you the wrong ticket. So this is the right one and I'm going to have to charge you the difference. So he gave us the wrong one? Then we paid for someone else's tab and then in order to fix it - he had to go to his manager to fix it by charging us the difference. It wasn't a huge difference. But still one would think that he would be organized enough to pay attention to ensure that the correct tickets are going to the right tables. SMH FYI I definitely knew the place was run by Chinese ppl because at the counter in the front had fortune cookies. Yeah not Japanese LOL So overall not sure if we will go back after that experience. Especially after the ticket mix up. SMH And no apology.

They had a sign up welcoming customers to their soft opening and asking for constructive criticism. The biggest disappointment was the calamari. It tasted like frozen onion rings. The thick batter was identical to the batter of frozen onion rings. When I bit into the first one, the calamari came out, revealing what a tiny sliver of calamari was inside the thick breading. I would definitely recommend choosing a different appetizer. I like that they have lunch specials which include eggroll, choice of rice, and choice of soup. Dan and I both got Pad Thai with shrimp, egg drop soup, and fried rice. Our grandson got lo Mein with beef, won ton soup, and fried rice. He liked his soup and entree. The egg rolls were a little greasy and we didn't get a sauce for them. We did not like the fried rice. It was dry and had an unpleasant flavor. I couldn't tell what spice I was tasting, but it seemed to belong in an Indian restaurant instead of an Asian restaurant. The dry and underdone texture added to the unpleasantness. Dan and I both love Pad Thai, but we didn't enjoy this. We ordered it around 2:00. It might have been fresher earlier. The sauce seemed too thick and a little sweet. As the sign said, this was a soft opening. I will try them again after they've been open awhile.
