I thought "a good deep cleaning of our home is just what I need right now." And it is always nice to try out a service/restaurant/etc. with a discount deal. Many businesses over the years have gotten repeat business from me because they treated me with kindness and respect when I tried them out at a discount. Before purchasing the deal, I emailed HomeTaskforce to ask a few questions. Based on the outstanding customer service from the get-go, I purchased the Gilt City deal and made my appointment. The owner, Mike, fielded all my silly questions about 1st time home cleaning, and put me at ease about trying a new company out. I never try anything that doesn't have a few Yelp reviews. But Mike sounded like a good guy with a great business model. I made the appointment, and Mike continued to answer my follow up questions up until the date of the cleaning. He is seriously so nice. I was home to let them in day of, and go over a few things. You fill out a detailed questionnaire when you set up your appointment, so Mike had explained to me that my notes were pretty detailed for the crew, so I didn't have to go over much. Vilma and Jasmine were on time, and so pleasant to be around. They worked around me being home part of the time, and were very hard-working and thorough. They brought all their own supplies and equipment, and of course I told them to use whatever they needed of my cleaning supplies too. I had to leave for work before they were finished, so I left a key for them to hide when they left, and I left cash tips and a "thank you" post-it by the key. Before leaving, I had already noticed how white the tub was, and how clean the windows looked. While I was at work, my boyfriend arrived home and texted me how great the place looked. I couldn't wait to get home and see the finished product. He was right - our house looks and feels fabulous! It was so needed. I have been so busy, and had slacked on keeping up with things other than the normal surface cleaning of everyday items. Now after the deep cleaning, I feel like it will be easier to keep things clean. and who doesn't love how their home feels after a good spring cleaning? I am looking forward to being a regular customer of HomeTaskforce every 4-6 weeks for normal cleanings. I never thought I would be a person who would hire cleaners, but it is nice to know there is reputable help when life gets busy. Or, help when you just want to spend your weekend enjoying loved ones instead of scrubbing the bathtub and the stove all weekend. Thank you Mike, Vilma and Jasmine! The job should not have taken very…read morelong since we had already moved out and there was no furniture left, but my wife and I wanted to be safe so we went with the more thorough option.The cleaning lady could not find our place (even though we live in the Loop) and drove around for 100+ minutes before she contacted HomeTaskforce's office. They did not call me until 2 hours after the scheduled booking and did not leave a voicemail nor return my phone call. When she finally arrived, she was over 2 hours late and rushed through the job. The carpet looked like it was not vacuumed, the microwave looked like it was not cleaned at all, and the overall feel looked like the job had been rushed. My wife and I had to spend an hour cleaning to finish the job. I complained and the founder (Mike) apologized, explained that the cleaning professional was late, but only offered 1 hour of free cleaning credit. This is unsatisfactory and somewhat insulting considering we had paid for 4-6 hours and only received about 2.5 hours cleaning. Shouldn't we have at least received 1.5-3.5 hours in compensation? HomeTaskForce advertises itself as a better alternative to other cleaning companies in Chicago, but from our experience, it was very disappointing and we have received just as good if not better services elsewhere and for much cheaper.

I specified I wanted a deep clean of the kitchen especially, with special attention given to the common areas. When I came home, the cabinets and baseboards of the kitchen were still obviously dirty and appeared to be untouched. I was under the impression they had finished deep cleaning all the rooms and needless to say, I was upset. There was a layer of dust on the baseboards I could pick up with my finger. The morning after, I discovered someone tried to clean my tea kettle but failed to rinse out the soap left in the tea kettle. Needless to say, I ended up having soapy tea because of this. I alerted the owner, Sonia regarding my concerns, to which she said that because I have an old kitchen, it will never look new again. I explained twice to her that my kitchen is not old, I rehabbed it four years ago but she didn't seem to listen to me. I alerted her of my concerns and she did not valid them, just offered to bring in someone to clean for two hours the following day for free. Ok, maybe a bit of a repair. Nope, three people came, one of which was the owner Sonia. She said they would be there for about 45 minutes and clean simultaneously. They were there for maybe 30 minutes and spent most of the time whispering to each other, probably about me. Don't use this service. Their communication is poor and in trying to repair a customer service breakdown, they end up whispering to each other instead of cleaning. If they were more upfront about what was needed to clean my home, I would have been understanding. Instead she made me feel like shit, implying I never clean and it's my fault that they couldn't clean sufficiently. I work four jobs and have an infant daughter, I don't always have the time to deep clean my hone. I was hoping they could help but instead they made me feel like shit and did a subpar job.

I got the contact info for BeCleanHome from a coworker who had used them in the past. My coworker asked what was the most important - and I said it being done right. I don't want to have to do anything myself -- she said "I have just the company" I warned Karmen that this wouldn't be a simple job, but she said they were up for it. This was no small job. It took one cleaner 6 hours. I guarantee it would have taken me 6 days, and it wouldn't have been anywhere near as clean. You can tell they know exactly what they're doing and get right too it. Putting cleaner on the stove and unplugging the (empty) fridge to come back to those things later. If there is something specific you want done, be sure to tell them, but I didn't make any specific requests and everything I expected would get done, did get done. I had (another) coworker who needed a move-out clean to list their home a few weeks later and I told him not to bother looking around, I've got the person...It was an equally challenging clean with an equally fantastic job.

We request to work with Ana for our regular monthly cleaning but any member of the team provides a great service. The staff is equipped with their own supplies making it really hands off for the customer. I do like to declutter counter tops and tables to ensure she can get to surfaces, but she'll also neatly arrange stuff if a few stray items happen to be on a counter top. One of my favorite surprises is how she leaves towels, toilet paper, and paper towels in little flowers and bows. Each member of the team does this in different ways.
