I have a mild chickpea/lentil allergy that is fine with cross contamination but I still need to avoid them, I was wondering if the lamb vindaloo or butter chicken contain either of these ingredients in the sauces?

When did their subs shrink?? in this economy we are all struggling. I get it, things cost more but Craves' owner is not doing his patrons a service by charging them premiums while cutting back on the meals. If you're ok paying that much for a shrunken sub, more power to you. I l, however, will not be going back there.

The bagel ticks all the boxes. Yet, each aspect is slightly off. The crust was almost comically thick and took a serious bite to break through. (I guess the bakers got too enthusiastic with the water bath.) The crumb was tight but came off more as dry than chewy. And the malt syrup was poured with a liberal hand -- there is no subtlety to the flavor. To their credit, the cream cheese is well paired. It brings its own flavor with a noticeable tang, and it is dense. You need a bagel that will hold up under the pressure of a knife while spreading the thick schmear. I love that Saul's is making bagels in house now, but I think I will look elsewhere on their menu for the real comfort foods.

We were greeted by cheerful and attentive Pavan. Service was impeccable which is often a bone of contention at an Indian restaurant. Dining is not just eating. It is an experience with many layers. Along with the taste, it needs presentation aesthetics, attention of the server who is attentive but not overbearing. Now I am thrilled to talk about the centerpiece that is food. Each item we tried tickled and invigorated our palate. Sheekh kebab was perfection, and yellow daal tadka with laccha paratha took me back to my mother and my aunt's kitchen. This is the kind of place where I can bring family and friends for fine dining and celebrating special occasions. This makes a great segue to the next phase of my review. The exceptional service provided by Oshika, Pavan, and Shrasta, paid attention to every minute details. Our guests were bowled over by Noor's curated menu, elegant decor, all created especially for the joyous event! The starters like Watermelon Feta Salad refreshed the palate making it ready to be tickled by the delectable tangy Kale Chaat. This was followed by the flavorful Sheekh Kabab that fully awakened the gustatory buds. The delightful main courses offered a diverse and flavorful selection of dishes: the rich Mughlai Chicken Changezi, the smoky Baigan Bharta, the hearty Amritsari Chole, and the unique Shrimp Mustard Sauce. Good lord! We just had the best chicken biryani in California! Absolute must try. Outstanding service and delicious food. Easy to reserve. Fine dining without any of the frills. Yelp Elites: Have your eyes on this restaurant. This place can give the Copras and Roohs a run for their money! Red wine sangria: 4/5 Well made. Arrived at our table with some delay. We thought they could have added fewer ice cubes but it was a good complement to our meal. Paneer Pakora: 3/5 Tender paneer. Tasted decent. But the outer shell felt a little dry for the pakora. Kale chaat: 2/5 This was just a massive bowl of sev. The kale was disproportionately sized for a chaat where that was meant to be the dominant ingredient. The chutneys also felt a little on the sour side than sweet side. Tandoori wings (5/5) This was tandoori chicken. I would rename their menu item to call it that. Cooked to perfection. There was incense burning inside the restaurant, and the strong scent made our eyes water and it was hard to sit comfortably. During our visit, my elderly mother, who has a bladder condition, had an accident at the table. Instead of responding with kindness or understanding, the staff were rude and made the situation worse. The owner wasn't very compassionate either -- she first said the cleaning fee would be $150, then reduced it to $100 to replace the chair. I brought my dad here during his first visit to Berkeley back in July, and we had such a great experience! The staff were incredibly kind, and they even took a photo of us together, which made the visit extra special. I placed an online order for the C Chicken Momos and the Garlic Cheese Naan, which were both phenomenal. The naan was some of the best I've ever had. It was so fluffy, thick, and pillowy soft, and was not overly charred/thin or too crispy like other naan. Just pure doughy goodness. There was also a perfect amount of cheese filling--enough that you got the subtle kick of milky acidity, but not too overpowering. The naan itself was also not too greasy, and the garlic flavor was very aromatic. You could also taste a hint of the slight tartness from (I'm assuming) the yogurt used to make the naan. The "C" Chicken Momos came with eight large pieces, which is definitely enough to fill you up. The sauce tasted like a classic sweet-and-sour sauce with a very mild and pleasant spice. Also, because the dumplings were fried, they were crispy despite being covered in sauce, but still had a bit of the nice chew you would get from a steamed momo skin. The fillings themselves were also super flavorful: you get a herbal and fresh taste from the ginger, which balanced the tanginess of the sauce so the meal did not feel too heavy, and the subtle nuttiness and pepperiness of cumin in each bite. The dumplings also had some warm broth in them, which is perfect for a cold day. The prices are fair too. You can often find small discounts on Snackpass or delivery apps like GrubHub.
