Service: There is a sign that says wait to be seated, except no one ever came to the front to greet or seat us. We saw a to go counter in the back and ordered there. The cashier was pleasant but I am not sure if we would have ever been helped if we didn't walk to the back. Price Transparency: After ordering and receiving my receipt, I realized I was charged $22 for my meal but the menu listed the meal for $18. I went back to the cashier to inquire about the discrepancy and she said the menu hasn't been updated. Food: 6/10 the lamb and rice was underwhelming. We received 5 pieces of lamb on top of rice with 3 veggie accents. The food temperature was great but the portion of meat left more to be desired especially for the price. The meat was a bit tough. Bottom line: the food does not stand up to similar places. There is not a focus on service and advertising one price and charging another is unethical.

Warm pita with yogurt sauce.

Great food , excellent service the food come out fresh and tastes so good I got extra to go home . The inside was very nice . I will be going back .

Unbiased R.

We've ordered this place a few times and every time it's just been OK. But this most recent order made me want to leave a review. Overall the food does taste good, although the rice could be seasoned more. All of our meat was over cooked from our preference (medium rare and rare). There were hardly any vegetables in the kabob entree. We asked for extra sauce with the one entree and only got 1 cup of tzatziki for both. I also ordered the pearl couscous salad and it literally looked nothing like the picture which was was super disappointing. We aren't even going to eat it because it's just pasta and olives with some oil as flavor. I included a picture of what the salad should have looked like vs what we got. Unfortunately the pictures always seem to look better than what we actually get when we order here. Honestly I don't think the food is worth the money that they're charging :(

Lamb Kabob

The food here is incredible! This is a must try place. We love the apps, small plates and the dinner portions are so easy to share. The desserts are also incredible- be sure to get the baklava! 10/10 recommend

Best lamb kabob and gyro we've enjoyed. Great flavor and fresh ingredients. Decorations added to the dining experience.

Hey foodie friends, listen up--I just found a hidden gem. Main Street Bistro is right on Main…read moreStreet in charming little Sykesville, and it's absolutely worth the trip. At first glance, it's pretty bare bones inside--but don't let that fool you. Grab a seat, because the food is where this place shines. The menu is packed with creative, unexpected options like a cinnamon toast panini, a Mongolian steak sandwich, honey Old Bay house smoked salmon, and even a "sloppy goodness" lamb burger topped with French onion soup. I went with the hamburger "Mac style," and Tom had the smoked beef brisket Philly. Honestly? One of the best burgers I've ever had--perfectly cooked, flavorful, and just done right. If you're anywhere within driving distance, go check this place out. It's one of those spots you'll be glad you found.

Despite being the only server on duty, service was quick, polite, and helpful. The menu is concise but filled with tempting, creative options, and they're open for lunch, dinner, and Sunday brunch. Meals are made to order, so we enjoyed relaxing and getting caught up with one another. My sister-in-law ordered the Smoked Beef Brisket Philly and chose the German potato side salad--she specifically returned to try that side again. I had the Sloppy Goodness, a delicious moist lamb burger topped with a non-traditional French onion soup and melted Provolone on a brioche bun. My broccoli slaw side was great as well. We enjoyed everything so much that we left no leftovers behind. We had hoped to share a chocolate mousse, but it was sold out--just another reason to come back. Portions were filling for us, and my dish was pure comfort food. The Bistro also offers two private rooms for small gatherings. We went on a weekday afternoon, it's a charming spot for a relaxed, unhurried meal and conversation. A place I wouldn't be surprised to find as a local hangout.

Cypriana's strongest asset is its staff. I wish I had written down my waitress' name so I could put…read morea name to the praise, but she was bubbly, helpful, and friendly. I could tell from other conversations throughout the restaurant that the other servers were equally kind to their patrons. The decor is beautiful! I feel like I don't usually see restaurants with such a strong aesthetic in the Fulton area. I think the ambiance created by the decor definitely heightened my experience. Now, for the food. What we ordered: - Traditional Country Spinach Pie - Falafel - Spicy Lamb Beef Dip - Grilled Octopus - Grilled Salmon - Chicken Tenderloin - Athenian Shrimp The spinach pie and falafel were standard; good, but nothing to write home about. The spicy lamb dip was my party's favorite mezze. I feel that Cypriana does meats very well (especially the grilled ones). But the dishes were brought down by the sides. The grilled salmon, octopus, and chicken were all delicious! However, the red quinoa mixture tasted incredibly earthy. I did not enjoy it, but some healthier members of my party did haha. The chicken and fries was probably the best pairing (and child-approved!). Regarding the "Athenian Shrimp": Upon some research, I believe this is the restaurant's interpretation of Garides Saganaki. The restaurant served the sauce on a bed of pilaf. From my understanding, shrimp saganaki is more commonly (not exclusively) eaten as a dip with bread. Of course, there's no "wrong" way to serve anything, but the rice paired with the Athenian Shrimp was incredibly moist to the point of distraction. The sauce was very good, but I found myself eventually eating around the rice because the wet texture was so off-putting. I think the sauce would have been better paired with a pasta, pita, or baguette.

It was pretty busy that evening but it was very comfortable with really low noise level. Great food, exemplary service and wonderful ambiance- all that for a well deserved 5 stars Can't wait to go back and try some more deliciousness!!! Go and eat there, you won't be disappointed !

Overall, we were disappointed with our experience…read more Pros: The restaurant jtself is nice--the location is convenient, the open air dining was lovely, and there was ample parking. Cons: The service was not great. They have lots of staff--someone to light the candles, someone to bring the water, someone to take our order, someone to bring out the appetizer, someone to bring out drinks, someone to bring out entrees, etc. But there was very little follow up along the way. Our waters never got filled again. Our server took our drink order right away, but took a long time to come back to take our food order. Despite that, we still got our drinks well after the appetizer came out. The next time we saw the server was when we were done eating. The food should have been better for the price as well. We shared the grilled halloumi cheese appetizer. The cheese was cold by the time it got to us, and the plate came with two small olives--just two. At that point, don't bother. I had the bronzini, which had a good flavor, but was mostly skin. There was very little fish attached to two filets. My wife had the scallops. The entree came with five or six (can't remember exactly) medium-sized scallops. My wife described them as "forgettable," with very little thought to presentation (some of the scallops were laying on their side on the plate. The asparagus was overcooked. Unfortunately we both left still kind of hungry, and definitely put off.

The calamari was perfectly breaded and crispy. The hummus had a great blend of garlic, parsley, a bit of cayenne and red chili flakes with lemon and paprika. All these ingredients make a plain hummus extra tasty. Our two main entrees consisted of the broiled Atlantic salmon with asparagus and Greek potatoes and the Yero plate containing rotisserie beef and lamb slices serviced over pita, with tzatziki, and salad. The salmon was impressively at the perfect temperature. I thoroughly enjoyed my entire meal. The Yero plate had the best slices of beef and lamb. They were soft and absolutely well prepared. Our dinner was accompanied with two musicians who played lovely traditional Greek songs. The music was not too loud and we were able to have a nice conversation at our table. Service was a tad slow towards the end of our meal. We were seated in the basement and there was a time when not a single server was on the floor. Water service was lacking and odd -- we waited quite some time for a refill and when someone did come, only one of us got the refill when we both needed water! Still, I loved the food and atmosphere. Parking: Plenty in the back of the restaurant.

I love this place…read more It's a cafe, party spot, coworking space, third space, and so much more all in one. I've been searching for a "coffee shop" that also serves real food, and landed on Mama Kokos. They've over delivered. It's so nice to have a place like this in the city with real people and staff who actually like their jobs. They're all so funny and kind and have such good vibes. The food here is not your average coffee shop food either and I love that. I'm tired of breads and pastries being the only option when I need a place to sit for a few hours.

Btw service is just okay, same as my previous visit. This time I ate outdoor. Although they bring the food to your table after you order at the bar, they do not return. I had to move our plates to an empty table just to clear it. Late night menu: I ordered the vegan bowl. The yams and greens were really good. The rest of the bowl items were okay. I also ordered fried plantains, which were basic, but decent nothing special... The beans were seasoned well and shockingly good, the rice was just plain white rice... Vibe 5 stars... indoor and outdoor seating It appears to be an every age group type of environment. No tvs, forcing everyone to socialize which was cool... the only down side is the music is too loud to actually hold conversations inside when there is a DJ. Street parking is available.
