I was looking for a Mother of the Bride dress. Earlier I had looked in Los Angeles at a large formal dress store. Had a very disappointing experience. I walked into the dress department and was warmly greeted by Beatrice. I walked around a bit, had a couple dresses picked out. Beatrice put them in a room for me and suggested a dress I hadn't seen yet. She was excited to see me try it on. Ended up being the dress I bought out of 10 dresses I tried on. Beatrice was professional, friendly and has an eye for fashion. I will definitely go back to see Beatrice again! read more

Man, I swear I never thought I'd give Nordie's a two-star!! First time for everything, I guess. Accompanied my wife who was shopping as well; the help in the dressing rooms was good, but when we got to the counter, hoo, boy, that's when everything went south! I generally don't like to use credit cards except for when there's no other way to pay, so I tried to use my bank ATM card, and it wouldn't take! Tried another register, same thing. I had just used this card successfully at Macy's and Penny's with no issue. The woman behind the counter was asked if they still accepted bank ATM cards: "Uh, yeah, sure we do." The clerk didn't try to hunt up a floor manager or do anything but stand there and look stupid. She seemed just about as intelligent as, well room temperature IQ. My wife and I were so annoyed that we wound up paying by credit card, which really ticked me off. We were pretty tired by then, so we just left, or we would have called for a manager ourselves. I tried that by phone on the way home, and got voicemails, and a 12-ringer i just hung up on. The third time I got an operator somewhere in another part of the country telling me they closed at 8PM!! The mall is open until 9...and they close at 8PM??? Is Nordie's losing money? They sure are losing our business! read more

I asked the associate for her name and I forgot even though I repeated it (so sorry, maybe it was Abbey?) but she had beautiful long red hair and was the only one there when I visited on Tuesday afternoon around 6pm. Lingerie Department - worst service ever! There was NO SERVICE. I came in specifically for a fitting and they said they were too busy. McKayla asked me to wait but I waited 40 mins and left. The entire time, she was working the register. There were 9 employees in the register area with 4 registers. I'm sure someone else could've worked the register if she was the only one who could do a fitting. I asked another girl to help me and she said she would check and never got back to me. Only specific people are able to do fittings. I came back 1.5 hr later and they were no longer busy. Then I was told by McKayla there were only 2 of them so I would still have to wait. Do you want my business or not? I've been a loyal customer of Nordstrom for a long time. The courtesy and service I experienced over the course of being a customer is lacking in this department at the Brea Mall. I'm out! I hope other Nordstrom locations are attentive and treat their customers with respect and courtesy. read more

The long blonde haired girl at the Chanel counter was rude and unwelcoming. I came in looking for my fave perfume for my birthday today and she could care less. She was not attending to anyone else but instead talking to a coworker. When i told her im not sure which one I want all I got from her was "they're all nice" walked away and proceeded to chat with her coworker again. Didnt even want me standing at the counter to see my other options but instead dragged me to look for the product as if she didnt want me standing there unattended. Love my Local Nordstroms Been coming here to shop over a decade + It's a pretty big Nordstrom department store with carrying almost everything needed. Even Big Designer brands too. I've never really had a problem with coming here and not being able to find something i was looking for. Associate is all so friendly especially a stylist who help assist mee a few times, Jeannie is her name. Very friendly and patience with my shopping needs along w returns with never a fuss. I LOVE to shop during their anniversary sale! It's their biggest sale of the year. Best to stock up on items than. Their kids shoes department is my fav, i love buying shoes here for my kids. They offer free logo balloon in the shoe along w clothes KIDS department. They have a few parking structure. Parking may be a bit hard to find but if you're patient enough. You'll eventually find one up close. There's always someone leaving the department store/mall. If you do have their credit card, you can get early access to the Anniversary Sale as part of the Pros w having the nordies card. Btw they do offer free complimentary gift wrapping during the holidays for items purchased at their department Stores. There is a minimal charge for non purchase items from nordies to be wrapped. Can be somewhat of a wait but I've left my item and return to pick up the gift at the end of my shopping trip At the mall. read more

This review is for an instance at Nordstrom today, from a customer who shops here for more than 15 yrs. I was looking at an eyeshadow palette and really liked most colors, 2 of them I wasn't sure if they would look good on me but the sales kept saying they will, so I asked if she can try them on my face. She then went to a makeup artist, the MA came seemed unhappy already, she never smiled once, had a stoned face the whole time. She said don't buy the palette if I'm not sure what the 2 colors will look on me even without trying them on. Then I ask how will MA use them, she said on the crease, I said I have makeup on so it probably won't show and she stared at me and ask "what do you want me to do?" with a very rude tone. And I said maybe try on my lower lash and she said "it seems like you already know how to do makeup".. excuse me?! Where is that came from? Isn't that why I'm interested in the eyeshadow and seek for professional advice when I have questions. At that point, I already felt very uncomfortable, unpleasant and upset. IM SORRY I EVEN ASKED TO TRY THE MAKEUP ON ME at the first place!!!! If no one can/want to do it, they can simply say no to me, 1 less sale, no big deal. I'll still go back as a happy shopper but from now on I'll go somewhere else where there's nice people who don't make customers feel like crap! And yes, 1bad seed can ruin other good workers effort. I came to Nordstrom Brea mall to pick up my online orders. I decided it was a good idea, at that time, to pick up my online orders instead of having it ship (bad idea) without putting in consideration of the holiday chaos (ie parking, long lines, crowd). Order pick up is located on the third floor, on your right, as you step out from the escalator. As expected, there is a long line but the staff were fast enough to accommodate everyone. The person who assisted me was very kind, helpful, and efficient. She made the process fast. However, I needed to return a pair of shoes that I ordered online. Associates in the women's shoe dept looked very unhappy, as if they don't wanna be there. You can tell they do not want to help you with your returns but rather make some sales. This lady who helped me with my return had a frowned face, no smile, and was in a rush. This is not my first encounter from this department who's rude and very unprofessional. Management need to retrain their associates to be more friendly and accommodating to clients regardless if it's a sale or return. I was once in the retail industry too so I know it can get frustrating and competitive to make a sale but your professionalism and customer service should excel. read more

Good selection and customer service, but 3-stars because DO NOT order delivery. They use TForce, and that it is the worst freight company ever. Hundreds of reviews on Google with 1.3 stars and on my Android map app with 1.7 stars. Their drivers deliver packages wherever on your property they feel like - and they never feel like delivering to the front porch. I've had Nordstrom packages left on top of my brick mailbox structure at the sidewalk, 60 feet from the house, begging to be stolen. Also, in the bushes, in front of the garage where they've been overlooked... Nordstrom products are good, but I can't consider them a top-flight company while they tie their delivery logistics to such a disreputable company as TForce. read more

I purchased an Adore Me bra from Nordstroms online that was supposed to be on sale for $29.97. When I completed my purchase it came up regular price $49.99. I called Nordstroms and Adore Me. I came Tuesday to do some shopping, like most ladies shoe department is a must stop to glance. As I was paying for my transaction, I left a bag with a purchased I had made at Express . I went home and left all my bags in the trunk, then I totally forgot about them for several days. Friday night, before my sons game I needed the trunk space, that's when I realized I'm missing one other bag... Today, Saturday morning I called store before they even opened because I couldn't wait. It was a $426.00 purchased I had made at Express. So, yes I was sweating bullets, and praying to every saint for help. To my surprised they answered even before store was opened, they quickly transferred me to their lost and found. AND yes!!!!!! they had my bag, everything in it, nothing touched! Walked around the entire woman's shoe department on Thursday 2/23/2023 around 2:00pm and wasn't greeted once. Plenty of sales associates standing around on this rainy day. I didn't see a floor watcher to share my disappointing experience with and the displays were a mess, at least the bored associates could have been straitening the shoes to make it look like this department had pride in its appearance. After about 5 min of looking around I put my timer on, 8 minutes later still no interaction or eye contact. There was an associate wearing a cream sweater, black slacks and very loud shoes when he walked on the tile that would look in my direction but couldn't be bothered. I was told that I am not qualified to touch the Dyson hair dryer set. The employees would not unlock it for me. Hm... the last time I checked, my rewards level included presale. And it showed up on my app shopping bag with the sale price for days! In the store, the box was wrapped in sensors. No one bothered to unlock it after I said that I wanted to buy it. Two employees just walked away. One came back to tell me that I'm not qualified to buy it. Why don't they want to tell it? Sure makes you wonder. 2. I had an item in an unopened box to return. Never opened box, let me repeat! Nordstrom manager told an employee to tell me that I was not allowed to return it. Walk yourself up to the third level customer service and they will deal with it. 3. Did I post about one of these customer service experiences a few months ago? One very tall young man there refused to help me carry 4 boxes, that stacked up taller than me, to my car. I said... ok. I'll change my order pick up to drive up. He said no. You carry it yourself. If my usual rep was not so helpful, I seriously plan on taking my shopping habits elsewhere. How many icons do you have in this store?! Utterly unbelievable! That must be the new Nordstroms policy. No returns! Oh... it's not no returns... let's just make it very difficult for someone to return anything! Dear store employees, I hope you know why brick and mortar stores are closing. So many of us still believeD in brick and mortar employment and take the extra time to drive there (gas/electricity $$$), park the car, walk into the store and waste 45 minutes just to get nothing done. Tried to return a Bassinet to the baby area. Was thinking about buying the Mixx Stroller travel bag and accessories after my return. However after my wife and I spoke with Karen D that changed quickly. After being verbally ridiculed and put down repeatedly, I decided to just complete our return and not add any new purchases. I have never been treated so poorly by any customer service rep. She even tried to guilt me into not reporting this horrendous behavior by stating multiple times that she is just a lowly register worker. I worked customer service for years and never have I seen this level of terrible behavior from a sales representative. Argumentative, passive aggressive, questioning my intelligence or dismissing the value of the items purchased. "It's just 400$s " was stated twice to make me know my place as a low tier customer. Avoid this Nordstrom at all costs. I will just take my future business elsewhere.
