Rating for 1 day; not all time Nordstroms. 5 stars for the rep who usually helps me with my purchases. And much appreciation to her colleague for smiling and greeting me. Negative stars if there is such a thing for the store manger plus 3 other employees. There's a hair products sale coming up or presale today. 1. I was told that I am not qualified to touch the Dyson hair dryer set. The employees would not unlock it for me. Hm... the last time I checked, my rewards level included presale. And it showed up on my app shopping bag with the sale price for days! In the store, the box was wrapped in sensors. No one bothered to unlock it after I said that I wanted to buy it. Two employees just walked away. One came back to tell me that I'm not qualified to buy it. Why don't they want to tell it? Sure makes you wonder. 2. I had an item in an unopened box to return. Never opened box, let me repeat! Nordstrom manager told an employee to tell me that I was not allowed to return it. Walk yourself up to the third level customer service and they will deal with it. 3. Did I post about one of these customer service experiences a few months ago? One very tall young man there refused to help me carry 4 boxes, that stacked up taller than me, to my car. I said... ok. I'll change my order pick up to drive up. He said no. You carry it yourself. If my usual rep was not so helpful, I seriously plan on taking my shopping habits elsewhere. How many icons do you have in this store?! Utterly unbelievable! That must be the new Nordstroms policy. No returns! Oh... it's not no returns... let's just make it very difficult for someone to return anything! Dear store employees, I hope you know why brick and mortar stores are closing. So many of us still believeD in brick and mortar employment and take the extra time to drive there (gas/electricity $$$), park the car, walk into the store and waste 45 minutes just to get nothing done. Online shopping for the same item would take me 5 minutes and not have to waste all that time and money. I do want to give kudos to 2 very friendly employees in the cosmetics department. Tried to return a Bassinet to the baby area. Was thinking about buying the Mixx Stroller travel bag and accessories after my return. However after my wife and I spoke with Karen D that changed quickly. After being verbally ridiculed and put down repeatedly, I decided to just complete our return and not add any new purchases. I have never been treated so poorly by any customer service rep. She even tried to guilt me into not reporting this horrendous behavior by stating multiple times that she is just a lowly register worker. I worked customer service for years and never have I seen this level of terrible behavior from a sales representative. Argumentative, passive aggressive, questioning my intelligence or dismissing the value of the items purchased. "It's just 400$s " was stated twice to make me know my place as a low tier customer. Avoid this Nordstrom at all costs. I will just take my future business elsewhere. Awful service from Andrew or whatever the guy with the grey hair working in men's fragrance. 1. Instead of offering assistance, he just stares and helps everyone else around us. I asked if there was a gift with purchase and he said no. Then me and my boyfriend go to the women's fragrance section after purchasing a men's fragrance and we see a sign that says gift with purchase. So I asked if the gift with purchase was only for the women's fragrances and the kind lady working (didn't get her name) let us know that it's for women's and men's fragrances. She took the time to go over to men's fragrances and grab us some samples and gave us the gift with purchase. I am grateful that she was kind and polite unlike Andrew. I honestly would only return to this location and purchase men's fragrances if I can make the purchase in the women's section. Do better or move him to somewhere else where there are no customers. read more

As always, women's shoe department literally sucks. Done trying to be polite and understanding online when it comes to reviews, because it's just unacceptable. I worked at Nordstrom for about 5 years and left the company, always knew how toxic, competitive, fake, and vile the women's shoe department is, at ANY location. Why are you in customer service if you can't even treat every one of your guests equally and respectfully. I absolutely hate the entire "it's your job" phrase, but in this case, especially for this department, I stand by it 110%. All we ask for is a shoe size, or if you even have any other colors. Whyexactly are you in such a nasty ass attitude for. Piss-poor service and attitude from an older female worker here on 1/10. Absolutely did not appreciate the way she treated my mom. These people just talk down on any non-english speakers, good thing I wasn't near by [I was in a different department] or I would have been very upset. It's not right. I'm in customer service, even worked at Nordstrom and was taught by an amazing manager before to always give world class Nordstrom customer service, just plain and simple, be nice to your guest. What exactly is so hard about that, it does not take rocket science to be fake, smile, and be patient. Don't you want your commission? What exactly is your purpose as an employee here if you're talking down and being condescending? Absolutely deplorable, it's kind of embarrassing to see how jerks can seriously get jobs, especially in customer service of all places. Placed an order 2 weeks before Christmas. I was told it would arrive in 2 days at the store. I went back to pick up the order. The order wasn't able to be found. The cashier told me the system was down and to wait for an email. The next email I received they canceled my order without notice. I called and spoke to customer service. Valerie communicated that she didn't know why the order was cancelled and there was nothing she could do besides reorder the shoes which would arrive much later than Christmas. I was charged twice for the item and didn't even receive it. Nothing was done to try to recover this issue. I am very disappointed in the way you Nordstrom conducts business. read more

Nordstrom is by far one of my favorite shopping stores in the Brea Mall. It's not a large mall and the only I guess you would say competitor is Macy's. The parking lot on the side of Nordstrom's has two levels and plenty of parking. I usually park on this side either on the ground floor or on their second floor. It's easy to find and also easy to park. The store inside isn't large compared to other locations but it still has the basics of shoes, beauty, clothes and even accessories. Overall it's a nice addition to the area and hopefully, it will become larger and better as time goes on. I already miss going to the mall and hopefully, we all could get our shopping hunt down. My favorite section would be the shoes since you can't have too many different styles of shoes. I know sometimes people say you only have two feet but really not everything matches together! read more

Located in Norstrom the red one is strawberry gummy candy in Mickey head shape.$8 the white one is birthday cake marshmallow in Mickey glove shape. $8 the red package Bar is for milk chocolate and it has Mickey shape sprinkles on it!!! $9-9.5( sorry I forgot) They have a whole collection, check my pics! It had been a while since we had eaten here and we must say the service was amazing!! The food came out so quickly and was delicious!! The staff as a whole was great but Madeline really made our experience one to remember! Leaving this long overdue review for Karen & Aliya! We have had great interactions with both of them. They go above and beyond in customer service and we are glad we ran into them! Karen works in the baby department on the third floor and helped us find the perfect stroller and car seat for our baby girl. We always appreciate seeing her when we go to the mall so she can see our daughter! Aliya works in the shoe department and she really helped my husband. We purchased a car seat and my husband parked further away, Aliya offered to watch the package as my husband pulled the car around. Well well well... here I am 7 years later and yes I am able to buy whatever I want (within reason). I came to Nordies after a very long hiatus. I needed a gift and I wanted to try and hopefully buy a Chanel cosmetic that was recommended to me. Total Fail on both points. Gift was a bust. Online this item sells for $98-262. There were many choices online but I wanted to see and touch it before purchase. At this location, they had very few styles to choose from compared to online. Somewhat disappointing. And the quality was lacking. So therefore I am glad I came and saw the items. (Ultimately ended up buying it at the Coach store in the mall.) Next stop was the Chanel counter. Now its not so much a counter, its like a square area and they apply makeup here apparently. I was lead here by the lady at the Dior counter (who was very nice btw). The Chanel lady was digging in a drawer when we walked up and didn't look up at me or acknowledge/greet me. She brushed by me while the other lady asked me to take a seat - explaining that this lady was "busy" but would be with me when she was done. Chanel lady returned and hurriedly informed me I had to wait, because she was "busy". No other customer was around. If it was a bustling busy day, of course, you'd expect to wait a bit. As I sat in the makeup chair I thought: What was so urgent? No "I'm so sorry, it will just be a moment". She never even asked what I needed. I was not there for a full face makeup application. Did she think I was? I was ready to try and buy concealer and possibly foundation. After waiting a few minutes, I decided to leave. I thought this woman was incredibly rude, appalling really, especially for Nordstom, which heretofore had been known for sterling customer service. This is the only Nordstrom in this part of Orange County since the one at Main Place Mall closed. It's nice, clean, but seems to have less options today for men. Maybe its just my perception, but it just seems to be thinned out since its heydays in the 80s and 90s. You can also tell the there is a reduction of employees. The immediate service you used to see if no longer there. Call it a victim of online shopping, but it is still sad. i do love the Cafe on the top floor. I needed to return an online order and I could not believe what a breeze the process was. I couldn't believe that I ordered rain boots online since I forgot I had this location down the street. I parked the structure outside Nordstrom and entered on the second level. There was a return area immediately on my right. As soon as I got in line an employee approached offering me help. It was the quickest and most efficient return experience with no questions asked. Of course I have no doubt that it helped that I had the receipt. They were able to put the money back on my giftcard and I was good to go. This mall is pretty big. They have all the main shops like VS, Sephora, Nordstrom, Foot locker and Forever 21 and more. Every store I walked into, the employees were nice and friendly. The Starbucks had free water out which is nice cause I tend to drink a lot of water and hate to stand in a long line just for it. A lot of parking surrounding the mall. They have wonderful products displayed in a very good manner. As expected, I was in the men's department for about 10 minutes before I found two perfect gifts for this man who has everything. I got him a beautiful cardigan sweater and a Mont blanc cologne that just came out for this season. The woman who checked me out Offered to gift wrap for free while I shopped in the mall. I returned two dresses I bought online today. My daughter used to work for this store, same location brea mall. She told me I didn't need to provide anything. The woman asked me for the order number. I told her I didn't have she said it will take longer to process keep in mind both dresses still had tags and returned in the same packages they were delivered. While she's looking up I found one yes, matched. The other bought on a different day I searched found. She questioned, different brand name, she looked puzzled then said, I believe you. To me meant, I'm questioning. Never ever have I had Nordstrom, number one in customer service treat me like this. I felt like she insinuated I was trying to get away with something.
