This is the worst Rack i've been to! The downstairs is deceiving b/c its not very crowded and the products are nicely set out. Upstairs is a mess. The racks are so packed w/ clothes that you can barely sift through the clothes. Then all those racks are smushed together so you cant move around. I can never go after school b/c i knock over clothes and people w/ my bag. It's a little more organized than my fav one in Glendale, CA which is nice, especially for a discount place. But i rarely find anything i like here, and it just makes me sad! read more

Oh Nordstrom's Rack how i love thee. Even though i rarely shop here, i love coming here if i need a certain name brand at a affordable price. I bought a pair of puma's months back, which typically run about 100 bucks if you want a good pair. Ended up paying 45 bucks, pretty awesome. Bargain clothing ... if you know what you are looking for you can pick up some good deals ... but you have to visit regularly to find them. A little tough finding men's clothing if your husband has a larger chest or soldiers. Great place for socks and underwear. read more

A trip to Nordstrom rack is always an intensive treasure hunt. Depending on how lazy I am, I always shop here or Macy's, though I go to the former first because it always has the best deals. The men's section is not very large but when people sift through items, the shirt and tie section can be pretty chaotic. That being said, I love Calvin Klein slim fit shirts, and when I find one I like it tends to be below 40 (I'm used to seeing 60+). The tie selection is great depending on the day; Mondays are where I find my most luck and I can find a decent looking 17 dollar tie with relative ease. Though shopping here can be frustrating at times, the prices can't be beat. read more

I love a great deal as well as quality shoes. However, I deplore digging for a deal and literally crawling over and under (just imagine a game of Twister) people to get to a decent shoe. I did not have a good experience here and the shoes just seemed a bit too disheveled for my taste. I wish I was actually shopping for myself when I came! They have a great selection and considering the actual prices of most the items, almost everything was a really great deal. Proof that you never need to spend more than 30 bucks for a good tie, 10 bucks for 3 pairs of socks or 10 bucks for 3 t-shirts. when they are busy, they have tons of cashiers so the line really moves and I got great linens there for super cheap. Great place. read more

I love shopping here. It's right on State Street, so there are plenty of other stores to check out as well. The first floor has accessories, purses, beauty products, jewelry, and intimates. The second floor has a ton of shoes and clothes. The women's section is pretty big, and I can always find a good deal on something. read more

Amazing selection of designer clothes and shoes! Found a beautiful green Michael Kors trench coat for the spring and some great blazers for work. Customer service is amazing too!! All of the employees were smiling and helpful. On-site check out was a nice surprise too, making it quick and easy to check out anywhere in the store! read more

Pretty neat store, but overall what I think of Nordstrom rack is that it is hardly even that cheap. I guess the concept of shopping at Nordstrom is if there is something I really wanted I wouldn't mind paying full price at the regular nordtstrom, I would just not come to rack and buy a BUNCH of stuff. With that being said, this store is right in the center of magnificent mile. Has two floors. Top floor is all clothes and shoes with female clothing by the elevator and male clothing closer to the bathrooms. Oh the bathrooms, they were PRETTY darn dirty, I feel like Marshalls next door have better bathroom sanitation than this place. The second floor is definitely in a worse condition than the first floor. BF purchased 2 pair of shoes(One ascis running shoes, one nike slippers) and a northface jacket here for $145...Not cheap but I guess cheaper than original price. Overall this is the least favorite nordstrom rack I've been to. It is not very organized, not clean and super congested...Price wise it is consistent with the rest of the racks. read more

As is common in the previous reviews...it is all about the shoes! This place has a system. You find the shoe you want and try one on....if you like it enough then you take it to a counter and they give you the mate. Genius!...unless the line is ridiculously long and you are there on your lunch (-1 star). The prices range from "great deal" to "whoa, that's still a lot for one article of clothing". Overall, they keep it pretty well organized, and if you are up for some digging there are really good deals to be found. Probably not for the shopping faint of heart. If you like order and personalized service, you might be better off at the big Nordstrom on Grand. read more

As many have said.. shopping here is a daunting challenge. I got quite claustrobic in the tiny shoe aisles, but the challenge is worth it. You can find some great deals here! Just be warned the majority of the store is filled with "off-brands" you never actually see at Nordstrom or brands you wouldn't associate with Nordstrom. If you're willing to pilfer through all the crap lurking around there are a few good deals to be had. read more

I don't live in Chicago, but I plan my itinerary each time I come to involve this Nordstrom Rack. Great finds. I am obsessed with the shoes here. This time around I bought a great pair of Cole Haan wedges and Tory Burch flats. The designer shoe section is among the best I've seen at any Rack. Store is clean and organized. read more

Though it tends to be pretty hit-or-miss, I've found some really awesome things here. They have a lot of really cute clothes and accessories for low prices - sometimes they have pretty crazy looking stuff, which I love! I've never spent a lot of time looking at the household goods, but from what I've seen they have a good selection of those as well. I do tend to be a label connoisseur at times however a bargain is a bargain and well...Nordstrom Rack has it. The one thing that always stands out to me here is their purse and shoe selection. The shoe department accommodates sizes up to a 13 for women. I always have a problem trying to find shoes that are size 10 or 11 because they run out often. I found Coach Boots for 110.00 regular price would have been 250.00 easy. I cant really comment on the clothes because being a big girl its hard to find clothes that look and feel good anywhere. They have a small home section but If you like Egyptian cotton towels and sheets you will like some of the items that they have and the prices are always pretty descent. The staff is not really helpful so hopefully you know what you want without having to ask them because they either don't speak English or just plain rude. read more

LOVE IT! I live and work nearby so if I need to find something stat for a good price, this is ALWAYS my first stop. I do not care for the shoe section here as it is too disorganized for my taste, but clothing (men's & women's) and intimate apparel wise - amazing. I never leave here empty handed. NOTE: on the weekends and during lunch time the line for the dressing rooms can be kind of long, so please be sure to leave time if you plan on trying before buying. read more

I love Nordstrom Rack! Great deals on clothes especially on the clearance rack where they often mark down as low as 60% to 75% off. They carry a great selection of designer clothes, and their private label brand clothes are pretty good. I love buying sunglasses here too because unlike Marshall's, TJ Maxx or Filene's Basement, this place actually gives you the case for the designer shades you're about to buy. Shoe department is enormous, but prices on shoes aren't great. You can often find a better deal at the Loehmann's down the street for the same shoes. I'd also caution you not to buy cosmetics here. Sure it's cheap, but people open the boxes all the time and dip their fingers in there. Yuck. read more

I've actually gotten some pretty good deals on jeans and sneakers here. $160+ jeans for less than $50 is a bargain in my book. Also got some great sneakers for $30 instead of $90 (which was still the going rate at a few online shoe stores). Minus a star because I got a pair of pants with a mis-behaving zipper.. they were only $30 though, and easy to fix. read more

Definitely a good place to find a good deal on name brands. This location is very cramped. The space is really just too small for what it is. It is a great place to find nice shoes for a good price especially if you're a girl with larger feet. They have a variety of items including jewelry, swimsuits, luggage, men's suiting etc. The cashier's aren't very friendly but you can't really beat the deals. Unfortunately, you often have to dig to find them because everything is so cramped. read more

I found some gems here (DVF dress in size 0 for $100, down from $300, Zegna tie down from $200 to $30), but the key is sifting through the enormous amount of CRAP that is sort of organized by sizes in the clearance section. There are definitely deals to be had here, but watch out, because those $90(reduced from $300) stilettos, that cute silver studded clutch and Ben Sherman suit for the boy will really add up. Sure you can walk out of here with $1500 of product for $500, but is it really worth it?I'm not entirely sure, but if you have something in mind definitely come here before going all out on the same product elsewhere. read more
