I tried picking everything up and said I'd wait and go to a different register and I told her I didn't want to bother her and there was no need for attitude. Was shopping in the men's section and found a couple of Bugatchi shirts. Normally ~$200 and marked down to about half price. This is exactly what I came in for. While browsing I found a Jacquemus shirt with no tag. I went to the dressing room area where three young ladies were working the racks outside the dressing room. I asked one of the ladies if she could please find out the price. First, she did not acknowledge me speaking to her.....fine, perhaps she was concentrating on something else. I asked again and she replied, "This is designer so you know it's not going to be like 10 bucks." Her, first line of communication.....not good. "Well, do you still want the price?" Sadly, I really wanted to purchase the shirt and would have paid a few hundred dollars. I had to walk away as I would rather take my Icon status to another department store whose workers don't judge whether or not I can afford to pay more than $10 on a piece of clothing. read more

Alina reached out to me immediately and long story short, she and Daniel spent a week helping me sort out issues that did not originate from this location (the issue was where it was shipped from). They are both incredibly friendly, helpful, and super patient! They went above and beyond to help me and I'm so thankful for them (there's gotta be a holiday for that, right?). I wanted to give a shout out to the manager Sylvia and Santiago (I believe) that assisted me with an issue that I had with my purse that I purchased that was still under warranty. Santiago assisted me by checking to see if the purse was available in store and when it wasn't, he was able to find the same purse at the other locations. Pre-pandemic I shopped this location a couple of times and found good deals on high-quality brands. I wear a size ten shoe in women's, something that is basically impossible to find during a sale at any department store, let alone a discount spot like the Rack. Why only two stars? I'm shopping online in their extra 25% off clearance sale with approximately sixty-five dollars worth in the cart. The free shipping banner across the top of each page says it kicks in at eighty-nine bucks; this seems kind of high so I select the pickup at store option ... and it doesn't change! They'll still charge you ten bucks to pick it up unless you hit that eighty-nine dollar minimum. No, thanks. I dumped my cart. read more

Tried to return an item (had the receipt ready to go). The return email said to go to checkout or order pickup. I wait in line at order pickup and when I get to the front of the line they tell me they don't do it and the automatically generated return email was incorrect. Whoever is managing this store, figure your shit out. Why would I line up at checkout which is longer than the order pickup line? And why is there only one person working at order pickup, and they have to run back and forth between the counter and going to pick up boxes? Talk about poor management!!! read more

DO NOT PURCHASE NORDSTROM GIFT CARDS I recently purchased several NORDSTROM Gift Cards. When one was used for a purchase, I was informed that there were no funds on the card. I returned to TARGET on Adams in HB, where the cards were purchased and ended up having a very unsatisfactory conversation with the store manager. I was redirected back to Nordstrom CustomerFinancial Services department where copies of receipts and the gift card were provided to initiate the process to 'unfreeze' the funds on the card. Promised turn around time 24-48 hours. I had to contact them and was basically told I was out of luck and I could contact my local police department to initiate a fraud investigation, but they were very clear in implying that they think the card was used and I was trying to get away with fraudulently trying to get money out of them. The Customer Financial Services department would not connect me with a supervisor who could assist me. The back and forth BS between Nordstrom and Target was ridiculous. I will never use Nordstrom gift cards again, nor will I purchase a gift card again from Target. Neither NORDSTROM or Target made any attempt to provide any level of customer service or support. Nordstrom seemed just fine in knowing I had been swindled out of $100. I will share this story of horrific Nordstrom customer service with everyone I know who shops at Nordstrom. read more

Although this location has better sections than others in OC, I only feel that the sales at the women shoes are helpful; the rest dept is just so so! We went to the kid section to look for some kids shoes. First, they only had one guy working there comparing many sales at the women shoes and men shoes sections; that's ridiculous! Perhaps kids shoes make the least commission; therefore, they didn't have many staff willing to work there?! No idea! When we first got there, they were not busy, so we grabbed three different shoes and asked the guy to find sizes for us to try on. The guy said he will bring them out, so we were waiting for a while understanding that he was the only staff working there and he might get busy. Anyway, he came with the same pair of shoes with two sizes and told us he was going to bring the rest shortly. After 15-20 mins, the guy didn't come back and finally he came back and asked if we have been helped!? I was confused and said you were the one helping us and informed us that you would bring the rest of the shoes out for us. He was like which shoes (I don't know if he got stoned or what?!) I said one Nike and one hi top black converse...he was like oh we don't have the sizes without even checking!!! We got similar service at the kids section at the Irvine spectrum Nordstrom as well. I guess maybe Nordstrom should close down the kid's department if they don't want to train or assignment more helpful staff to help! read more

I've been a big fan of deep discounts on luxury clothing brands. However, in 2022 I ran into my first big issue, I bought some clothes for my daughters in November for X-Mas presents, and by the time they opened their presents, I was no longer able to return the items. I chalked this up as, well, I guess I won't buy clothes for Christmas again. And then in March 2024 I went to return some items I bought online for my daughters, the last two items that were delivered were the items she didn't want, so I went the next day and they told me the items were "Final Sale", which meant I could not return. I asked the cashier how am I to know an item was a final sale before I purchased it. The manager came over and said there was nothing I could do and I had to keep them. Going home I looked up the items I purchased, under a small section of 'returns' at the bottom, it says they cannot be returned. Why not have this in red at the checkout spot? Because they know you will not purchase a final sale and they need you to buy the items. I would give this a one star except the clothes are good, but I won't be buying as much and I will be paying attention to the details read more

Used to be much better. Nordstroms rack has replaced JC Penny with decidedly lower quality and cheaper clothing and accessories. I find it hard to find anything on interest whereas before I had no trouble finding a Tommy Bahama shirt or quality sports coat or the occasional suit, and a Taylor in store. I recently had an incident at the Nordstrom Rack Metropointe location. I was in the children's section, this evening, and had to move a rolling rack just to get into the section. But me and my nephew and niece were looking at the toys and had found one for my niece and moved to the other side of the area. As we came back around my nephew tripped on some stuffed toys and I had to help him from falling.    But what surprised me was the aggressive approach the employee had to my nephew. He accused him of stepping on the product and throwing it on the ground. When I called him out on his rudeness he said he didn't care. He kept coming at my nephew scaring him. I asked him to move away and he told me he didn't have to as that he was an employee. I told him to move away or I would call the police. I literally had to shout at him to get away. I then moved to another section and asked another employee for the manager.  Which she walked me to the manager and I relayed the rudeness of the employee to her and she said she would talk to him. I was so livid that my nephew was so scared. At this point, hearing my nephew say how sad he was, he's 8. Just made me think that this employee needs to be reprimanded. Maybe even fired. No child should ever feel threatened like that. Especially from an adult.  I visit this location often. I don't feel comfortable knowing someone like that works at the store and will not be visiting again. I just want to make sure others are aware of the aggressive employee at this location. read more

One of my go to locations for Nordstrom items on clearance. I appreciate the mobile kiosk check out stations, for those that are coming in and know exactly what they want. There is also a separate online order returns line, so I never feel like the lines get ridiculously long. All staff wear their masks and wipe down all counters before helping the next customer in line. I would overall say that this location has a good variety of designers and sizes, which make the shopping more successful in my book. read more

This is a negative review about the store manager Shaina N. at Nordstrom Rack in Costa Mesa. I bought several pairs of shoes online, they didn't fit me, so I went to Nordstrom Rack Metro Pointe to return them. The cashier told me she couldn't return one pair because it was marked as "Final Sale" on her screen. I was surprised because there was no mention of Final Sale when I purchased them. I explained this to the cashier, showed her the website with the shoes, and she saw that there was no indication of Final Sale anymore, but still refused to return them. She didn't want to understand my situation. I asked to speak to the store manager, she said she was the head manager and wouldn't help me. She was not polite or friendly when I explained it wasn't my fault and I wanted my money back. She just kept repeating that she was the manager and couldn't help me. Then she told me to take my shoes and leave the store because I was distracting her. She called a female security guard to escort me out. What kind of manager refuses to even listen to you? She was completely unprofessional, stubborn, and rude, humiliating me by having me forcibly removed from the store, which upset me greatly. At the same time, I called Nordstrom Rack customer service, explained my situation, and within minutes, the representative confirmed that there was no indication of Final Sale when purchasing these shoes, apologized to me for the rude behavior of the store manager in Costa Mesa, and immediately sent me a shipping label to my email to return the shoes. That's what I call service--willing to listen and help in a situation, unlike Shaina N., who would have called the police on me if she had her way. I told her Saks Off 5fth have similar items and they offer additional discounts in which she rudely replied back, we ain't Saks and this is a Nordstrom Rack! At payment counters they did sanitized between customers and social distancing was reinforced at this area which is a plus nowadays. I was here on a Wednesday afternoon before Valentines and the store wasn't busy at all. The reason I took one star off because it was hard to get someone to assist you to find some certain things, probably they have shorter staffs during the pandemic, luckily I wasn't in a hurry so I took extra time to look for the product on my list. Very poor experience. I found a moncler jacket, the original price is $595, the red label is around $129, and the red label has an extra 25% discount today. I think I am so lucky and very happy. At the checkout, the cashier said that the label is wrong. The manager of the women's department, a woman named Linda, wants to sell it to me at the original price. I didn't buy it. If I want to buy the original price, why I come to the rack? I asked for a photo of the red label $129. Great place for bargain designer clothes. As a fan of designer items on a low budget, you can't beat Nordstrom Rack. For this particular Nordstrom Rack, it is one of the bigger and nicer locations that I have been to in the OC area. Much cleaner as well, especially in the fitting rooms. Speaking of fitting rooms there is a massive amount of individual rooms so you rarely have to ever wait to try things on and there is always at least two employees continuously removing clothes and putting them back on the racks. Best part about this location, every register is always open! This means I can go on my lunch break and know I can get in, shop, check out and get back to work all within an hour!!! read more

I have been shopping at this location for years. It is my favorite Nordstrom Rack in Orange County to shop at. It's always clean and neat compared to other locations. So 5 stars for cleanliness. But this review isn't about that. This review is about the awful customer service that seems to keep happening at this location. It's as if the managers are training their employees to be rude to customers and give 0 customer service. As we all know who shop at Nordstrom Rack, they changed their dressing room policy. Basically bring in however many items of clothing, go into any open door, bring them back out and hang them on the rack out front of the dressing room. Simple, easy, great, love it. So I went to try on my clothing. I had a good amount of jeans and dresses. Nothing crazy. Probably the average amount of clothing people bring in. So I try them on. Only two things worked out, so as usual I bring my unwanted items to the rack at the front of the dressing room door. It was completely packed. There was no room to put my 8-9 items of clothing. There was also no sales associate there to direct me where to put them. So I see a rack inside the fitting room door to the left. In my head I think okay cool, I'll put them here no big deal. You would think right? The employee comes up behind me and literally SIGHS. Haha I laughed in my head thinking, "did she really sigh over me placing my clothes here?!" After her very rude an almost exaggerated sigh, she says, "You can't put that there, put it on the rack up front." Before I can even explain its full, I grab my items from the rack, not knowing where to put it. An item of mine falls off the hanger and she lets out another huge SIGH and says "you know what! Just leave it! Leave them!" I felt like I was 6 being scolded by my unhappy mother. She just kept sighing and saying leave them. At this point I'm so irritated with her. I said okay, you got it, you seem pretty mad about all of this. Not sure why you got to be mean. But you got it. I left it for her and bought my stuff. Man.... I have been a manager for retail and worked retail for many years and let me tell you... if I heard my employee speak to a customer that way she would of been written up on the spot. Go home girl. Don't bring your angry bitter attitude to work and be rude to people who are just trying to have some retail therapy and have a good day. You have to suck the fun out for everyone huh? Because heaven forbid someone put clothes on a rack when your other rack is full and no one is out there to direct me. I couldn't believe it. I wish I got her name. But she worked the fitting room on May 16th around 1:00 pm. I don't know what training they are getting here, but her customer service, I should say lack of customer service is a representation of the training and expectations (which is clearly low) of their employees. Like I said, this is my favorite location to shop at. It's a bummer that now it leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. I honestly might just avoid this location for a while. Nordstrom Rack is my favorite place to shop at as a female in my early 20s/recent college graduate. I can't afford designer all the time and it's great to have a discount designer outlet like Nordstrom Rack for me to get quality items at good prices! Bye Forever21 - your girl upgraded and I'm shopping here now! My top three reasons why I like Nordstrom Rack: 1. Quality items at great prices. Most of these items are good quality. Unlike fast fashion places (*cough* Forever 21), these items won't wear out after the 2nd wash. 2. Great customer service - returns are super easy! I online shop regularly and I always have a couple items in my order that don't work out. This store is in my backyard basically, and I love that the return kiosk is by the entrance. There's usually no line and if there is, it's not much of a waiting time. I think the reps are taught to make the return process super quick and seamless. Never had an issue with this and have been very pleased. 3. Wide selection of items - both online and in-store I am a member of the Nordy Club for the points (not credit card). I have to call the rewards # and tell them my order #s and the order amount for them to manually enter in my points. I've been told that's how the process is to receive reward points for Nordstrom Rack online purchases - that's kind of a hassle but I've only had good experiences with Nordstrom customer service so I can't complain. Honestly, I mostly online shop and I only come here to return my items and then sometimes browse then. But every time I purchase something in-store here, the lines have always been very long. So give yourself some time for that. read more

The lines at the register were really long but luckily they have small random express checkout spots located throughout the store where an associate will ring you up in the middle of the clothing racks LOL. read more

Wow, which location do I like better? Long Beach vs. Costa Mesa 1. Long Beach location is convenient if I am in the area. Costa Mesa is convenient for more shopping at South Coast and closer to my house. 2. Long Beach has way better customer service. Costa Mesa has none. 3. South Coast has way more selection, Long Beach has less. 4. Both have easy parking. Long Beach validates for 2 hours parking in the garage. 5. Tie Breaker: Costa Mesa is in the OC.. Seals the deal in my book:) As I have been to both stores within a day of each other, I can tell you that they have some similar items, but also very different items. I say go to both. Again, I found pants and shades for at least a 20 percent savings. The price tag on the sunglasses had a retail price that was way higher than I would pay elsewhere, but still a significant discount with the sale price. I can't stand overcrowded stores which is the reason for my low rating. This place was absolutely packed and felt claustrophobic. Complete chaos! Merchandise was strewn all over the floors no matter which direction you looked. Walking some aisles was like venturing through a challenge obstacle course. On the upside, there are some great deals. I guess you have to love Nordie's to love this place to begin with. There's too much stock crammed into the racks and the shoe department looks like a hot mess. I walked into a aisle and walked right back out. I told my GF that it looks like a thrift store shoe rack and she said it was like going to Ross'. Yeah...except there I expect it because of their prices. They have a good selection of random make-up and beauty supplies; all at almost retail prices. You literally save pennies but I got face soap to save myself a trip to Target. I won't be back but I do like going next door to DSW where the shoe fairy didn't poop all over the store. :( p.s. All the guys I know have no issues with the shoes or clothing. read more
