Ok so I went in there to shop for a bookbag to use on my next plane trip cuz I hate dealing with baggage check and tsa. As I was contemplating my plight between going with the supercool leather book bag and the everyday looking blue/grey I happened upon one of THE GREATEST SHOE SELECTIONS I've seen in years!!! I love the location, and the finds are great. I have found everything from Hats to Mavi Jeans and dress shoes are great prices. Staff is friendly, atmosphere is upbeat. It was busy Saturday night. Wind was slightly blowing outside on the busy street in the name of the back of the camel. One of the associates was having a nice chit chat with one of the customers not minding the mile long line at the register, the other cashier waited for the third person to check the price... I love shopping here. It beats Last Chance any day. However, do not look for customer service or retail help. The staff is around but not necessarily helpful. Huge lines with few checkers. Just counted 20 people in line - two registers open and a manager walking around not pitching in to help. No excuse - it's a huge holiday shopping day. The Nordstrom Rack is down the street from the clearance center so prices are higher but selections are a bit better and it wasn't as crowded. They have a lot of shoes. They have clothes in a variety of sizes including kids and plus sizes. Clothes are often seasonal-like right now they have a lot of winter clothes. The quality varies but is generally good given they come from the Nordstrom Dept. store. Prices aren't cheap but less than you would pay in the store. It's pretty easy to find things given the layout. It is like the clearance store-hit or miss but worth checking back every now and then. read more

So glad I checked this Nordstrom Rack out. The one in Scottsdale is closer to me but I don't like the layout of the store. It's very small and messy. Turned me off. I'm standing near a cart return outside and an employee comes by to leave a cart, only she didn't. She pushed it straight into me and I'm standing there, with a cart on me, as I watch her just walk away back into the store. That tells me enough about what kind of place this is. I also understand everyone has a different sense of style, but the majority of clothes here look cheaper than the clearance section at Ross. I just waited 30 minutes to get into the store. After the wait a Nordstrom Rack employee told us at the front of the line that check out was taking one and a half hours. Why didn't they tell me that when I first got in line? I just had a return but I would still have to wait in line an 1 1/2 hours. Bad business practices. read more

This is the best Nordstrom Rack in the Valley. It's larger than the one in N. Scottsdale and Tempe, more organized, and has a larger selection. While the prices aren't as low as a Marshalls or TJ Maxx, the prices are still better than full-price Nordstrom. Sometimes I find a ton of things and other times nothing, so you just have to go and look to see what they have. read more

I'm really happy they opened this location! It's very clean, full of great finds and spacious. It's always a little calmer than the Scottsdale location and not as picked over. It also seems more spacious. They have a great selection of purses, shoes, accessories, jewelry, clothes and bath products. read more

Great deals and value here. It's well organized and clean. It's easy to navigate and the shoes are still in boxes. This is by far the better Rack in the city. Stopped in next to Kierland and it was awful. Stay at the one on camelback and you will def find a good deal. read more

Super clean and well stocked. This location doesn't seem to be as busy as others I have been to. After going to Last Chance, (and leaving disappointed) I came here and I was happy to actually find new items in good condition! Very disappointed I wore my plastic mask in and all store employees said it was ok and would help me...except for 1. I went to the Bobbi Brown counter and was looking for a bronzer to purchase. The gal greeted me fine but when I said ok I'd like to buy it, she said only if you put this mask on and she held it up. We were 6 feet away from each other, and I told her I have mine on and I'd like to buy...then she changed her entire demeanor and said your money is no good unless you put this mask on. I was shocked because no one else in the store treated me this way but her. So I said...you are telling me I can't purchase this from you unless I wear your mask? She said yep! I Just walked away almost wanting to cry. I will never buy my makeup or perfumes from Nordstrom's ever again. They seem to be you know what to people. In all the clothing areas, shoes, cafe, they all helped me and were very nice. Customer service is lacking with the young ladies in perfume and makeup. read more

There are continuing announcements about the store fitting your clothes. I went to the counter and asked for specifics. I was told I could get $100 if I got a Nordstrom credit card. I didn't want that, until I tried the fitting service. I was told I could bring clothing in from anywhere. Not until Iwent to the fitting, was I told the cost, and that the clothing not from Rack, was twice the cost. Hemming one pair of pants was $28. Although the person doing the fitting was nice, waiting a week and the cost makes me feel like I was being taken advantage of. When I said I was given wrong information, the clerk said the other clerk was new. It was not true. I certainly won't get the credit card. I won't go back. read more

I've been to the locations out in Peoria and Chandler and this one has the best stuff by far! In Chandler they make you wait in this long line to try on your size shoe and has a horrible selection. Peoria has a good selection, but it's far. Customer service is always great at this location and I always leave with a new, cute outfit without having to break the bank! read more

The merchandise is ok, but the service here is SO BAD. It's kind of amazing. I have never been here and waited less than 10 minutes in line to check out. And it's not because they are understaffed either! There are plenty of employees wandering around re-folding folded clothes. Today, girls at cashier were the worst I have ever encountered. I usually praise Nordstrom for having exceptional customer service, but to call me to register on a busy day then walk away to talk to your fellow associate--seemed like they were shopping themselves and trading points, items or money for merchandise they wanted. Young girls are horrible at customer service, just out for themselves. I walked back into the line to get served by someone else after 2 other customers behind me were checked out. read more
