I stopped by Nordstrom yesterday with a friend to do some returns, and I was above and beyond impressed with the service I received. As someone who used to work for Nordstrom, I have particularly high standards for customer service, and the service I received yesterday surpassed those standards. It wasn't like I was spending money either, I was making returns and doing some browsing. I've been feeling a bit gun-shy making returns at Nordstrom (despite the excellent return policy) because I've been made to feel guilty for returning items at another Nordstrom (not in Seattle). However, yesterday, I made returns to the POV, Lingerie, and the BP shoes department, and I received excellent service, everyone was understanding and friendly. Shout outs go out to the new Asst Manager in Lingerie, Allison, and the sales girl in BP shoes, Baylie. I will be specifically seeking them out for their services in the near future. On another note, my friend who I was shopping with yesterday purchased a watch at the Nordstrom Rack as a anniversary gift for her boyfriend. She's a graduate student, so finances are limited, so we went to the Rack instead. Unfortunately, at the Rack, they did not have gift wrapping. So my friend ended up taking it to the Jewelry section at Nordstrom to ask for a box or wrapping. Now, the salesperson could've easily said no, since it wasn't technically purchased at the store, and we would've understood. Pam (?), was incredibly kind and gracious and took the watch to be wrapped, and she did a beautiful job. It was time out of her day and she got nothing for it. My friend was so pleased and touched, and we will both be back asking for Pam for future purchases/assistance in the jewelry department. Thank you, Nordstrom! read more

I find this place hit and miss in customer service over all. cosmetic department over all have worst customer service, and in my opinion, the activity wear has pretty nice people working there. their return policy is great, and their system to find the right size for you if the store doesn't carry and shipping to your home is great. read more

This is a great place for bridesmaid dresses. The prices are reasonable. They even steam dresses at no cost. I think their bridal dresses look just okay. I bought dresses for my bridesmaids here and I was very pleased with the service. All the dresses I bought were on sale. read more

If I could live in this Nordstrom I would. I would make a cot in the middle of T.B.D. and cover myself with beautiful clothes and stay there forever. The employees are AMAZING. I adore Nordstrom's (and this is ESPECIALLY prevalent at this location) policy of say yes. I am a repeat customer and it makes all the difference knowing that if I buy something that does not work out, I will have no problem returning it. One of the men in the B.P. shoe department has known me by name for 7 years (and I moved away for 4 of those years). The girls in the T.B.D. department are never snobby, always attentive and usually give me a pretty honest opinion. The one possible downside is the price, but honestly, if its too expensive don't shop here! I come here for the amazing quality and the excellent service. Every dollar is worth it, and if it isn't I never have an issue exchanging the defective product for a better one. I am so new to this forum that I do not see when somebody sends me a personal message, but the Manger did, and I was impressed by his comments. He apologized and said he would discuss this with his staff. Because of this, I would not hesitate to look at watches at Nordstrom's and even buy one, in fact...I will be doing just that this weekend because I want a watch that does not need a battery. I love, Love, LOVE this store!! Attended an awesome fashion show on Saturday morning and was helped by Ansel in men's shoes. He was so helpful and has a great attitude! From there went to men's clothes where a gentleman named Koby helped me pick out a few items, he is so put together! Next stop skin care and was helped by Palmer in Kiehl's. I have to say that I'm falling out of like with Nordstrom. I was there yesterday, trying to buy something for an event in the chilly-chilly Midwest next week, and they had almost NO winter merchandise to choose from. The clerk even said "Well, at this time of year it's going to be hard to find winter itmes. Christmas is over." IT'S JANUARY 8! There are eight weeks left of cold temps. Why can't a person go into a store and buy what s/he needs now? This is not the first time, rather I've noticed that it's the norm for Nordstrom to move merchandise out in this way. What can I say about Nordstrom that hasn't been said already? Their customer service is some of the best - I've never had poor customer service here (or at the Rack ;) - it is always stellar. And I always go here first for bras - be sure to get fitted, they do a wonderful job & very down to earth. I let them know my price range and styles - and last time, walked out with three instead of my budgeted one. I am very loyal to Nordstrom, but no zombie, I shop at lots of other places. My only wish - a little less mainstream, more diversity - because as my tastes have broadened and my personal style developed, there is less for me to choose from in the clothing arena. read more

UPDATE!!! I still hate Nordstrom! New reason this time: I order a pair of shoes at the store because they did not have the color I wanted in stock. Easy enough right? NOPE! I get the delivery for my wonderful black shoes and guess what! They are hot friggin PINK! The box says black. NO siree they are definitely not. So I return them and reorder. UPS truck comes...I open the box, Is that hot pink I see???? Why yes! for the 2nd time I have the wrong color shoes. Worst of all, the refund for both incorrect shoes took a whopping 1 month. Not only that, I had to beg for expedited shipping. It's their fault but so unwilling to accommodate. NEVER again Nordstrom. read more

So my girlfriend really wanted to check out the flagship store since we were there. I didn't expect to spend more than a hour there as we weren't on a shopping trip. 3 hours later we walked out spending a few hundred each due to their competitive weekend pricing with Bloomingdales (20% off). I think what really sold me was the customer service as I was merely browsing and the gentleman that was servicing me made sure that all my needs were properly meet. I never felt rushed and he really opened up my eyes to a few items in which I would of never thought to pair together. I really wish we had a 5 story Nordstorm's in Austin =( read more

I usually like Nordstroms but even as a card holder I have a hard time paying these prices. Flagship store=HUGE! Anything and everything that you could possibly want, they have it. High end designers, Gucci, Chanel Etc. as well as the normal everyday Nordstroms departments. Lack of customer service is a huge turn off. Was in the shoe section and was not acknowledged at all. I didn't need help, but act like I am there please. Same for the young men's section. Husband was looking through the Men's sale racks. A sales associate came over but was talking to another women and didn't ask if we needed assistance. Just the other lady and walked away. I guess we were not hipster enough or looked like we do not have money. It's cool, you lost a sale, your issue, not Mine. I had the pleasure of meeting Tucker in men's sportswear at the downtown Seattle Nordstrom store. I needed a mustard yellow bow tie for a formal event. Not only did Tucker, who was wearing a bow tie himself when I came to the store, find me the perfect bow tie, but he was the best teacher in making a bow tie. He took time to make sure I had each step down pat before I left. As the event was a few days away at the Fairmont Olympic, Tucker offered to have me come back on the day of the event to make certain my bow tie was tied perfectly. I met him at our arranged time and he was even more attentive than the first meeting as he knew I wanted to look good as I would be on stage during the event. Not only did Tucker work tirelessly to make certain the bow tie was perfect, he found a perfect mustard colored pocket square to compliment the bow tie. All in all, I felt confident attending the event and owe that confidence to Tucker! I will be shopping there again soon and you can rest assured that Tucker will be my personal shopper! read more

Came to the shoe department last night and I saw these black sneakers that everyone keeps raving about! After shopping in Southcenter mall I decided to come to this Nordstrom! I really needed some shoes and wanted some for the walk home! There was a women by me who needed a shoe (same brand). Everyone was helping someone and this guy walks out of the back room! I see the women asking so I did too. He then approached me to double check I didn't want cream and black in the same color, which means he knew about getting it. I was very happy. I found a seat that was available and I cleared the seat next to me for the women who he would be helping to making it easier on him! I saw him looking around for me or her! He came out with in ten mins, pretty fast! He drops the boxes down and doesn't say anything to me except sorry to the lady next to me for creating some confusion, she should've know she was being help!!!! She was old enough to to know he has to go into the back to get them but acted brand new! I'm sitting there waiting when I finally ask/approach him saying "OH you don't have my shoes". No biggy I'll just order it I just didn't know what size. He said no actually we don't! When were you going to say something as you are standing right in front of me? You knew you were getting them? Did you really look? Why didn't you say that before you started helping the other women! I didn't realize we both had the same brand of shoes so I assumed he had mine until he was taking them out! Ok so first of all I have never complained about customer service here but I've been here 5+ times in the last month since I moved back/here. and NO greet! No help! I have never had GOOD service! I also don't want to blame the dude helping us but I don't get it, did I ask for getting a shoe the wrong way?? The funny thing is before I even asked for his help I had a shoe in my hand, a women working there approached the women next to me! Really dude what about ME? She asks her BUT she never was concerned about me! I mean at this point I don't want to continue shopping here but it's easy BC it's five mins walking from work and it makes sense for product I need and want! I just finally needed to express my concerns and see what the heck I did wrong about this whole "asking for a shoe". It was busy today I'm not going to lie but I went in over 20 stores today and this is the last place I went and really didn't want to go into another! He did offer to order the shoe but when would that be after he was done helping the other women don't worry I can order it NOOO problem (still free shipping). Just overall mad and pissed about the whole experience! If your still concerned why I'm venting it's because I never ever felt I got good service here and everyone raves about this amazing his and that and still wants to spend all their money here I'm being bitter and don't feel like this is the spot! I still don't feel like I do! Point is why? I have been in here millions of times in the past and now and nothing! Not ever a Hi at Bp when I got a few items! I stood right in front of an associate and she was more concerned about her glasses getting out of place as in trying then. I actually really like this Nordstrom, but one experience made me drop a star for my review. I usually get great sales associates and great service, but this one experience, ugh. So I was in the market for a new purse, and I happen to want a super high end one. I ended up at the Prada boutique inside Nordstrom and was just browsing and getting some options. The store associate in there at the time was super pushy and when I said I was just taking a look and I'll think about it, she was just like to my boyfriend "Oh is something going to come up soon? A birthday? Her birthday must be soon right? I know you'll be back." Just, no. I do not like being talked to like that and her tone wasn't the best either. It wasn't even playful, it was just kind of sly, like a used car salesman. To end that story, we did eventually come back and get a purse, but it wasn't from her :) We gave our business to a much nicer sales associate (we went a few times until we didn't see her in the boutique since we live walking distance to Nordstrom). Other than that experience, I love all the brands they have at Nordstrom and the customer service is truly outstanding. I'm especially enamored with their make-up section that's currently going through renovations. It looks like it will be beautiful after though and they're bringing in some make-up brands that they didn't have before! Such as a Tom Ford counter, and a few asian brands and a Christian Louboutin counter for their lipsticks and polish. They are also upgrading some of their older make up counters such as Chanel which will be getting a super glammed up upgrade. Who says you can't have it all? At Nordstrom you can. read more

Wow! I was so sad to walk into Nordstroms today. I entered right after a young man who looked around and the first thing security did was question him and get on her walkie talkie and describe the African American gentleman as if he's doing something even slightly wrong. He walked off obviously having delt with a situation like that before. I wanted to cry. The security guard had blonde hair, cut very short. She was obviously a lesbian, obviously. Overall - I think Nordstroms is great. Most of my experiences have been great. I've detailed below. Great experiences: - I got a fantastic dress for my bachelorette party here! They have a huge selection of white and silver dresses that are fun. - Found my wedding shoes here, they have a huge selection of designer shoes that is perfect for finding something for your nice event. - I got a Cole Han purse on sale for like $100. Great deal! Sub Par experience: - I came here looking for a plain, black suit jacket. Hoped to spend around $200. They had 1 $500 option. I mean really? One of my favourite Nordstrom's, a whole basement devoted to men's clothing and accessories. They carry the usual designers like Boss & Armani, with their top end at Zegna, in the $3000 range. Never inquired about custom tailor ones here, back home we've got some pretty good bespoked work too. As usual, excellent customer service. Washrooms ready by counter. Plus they offer a great valet parking service, well worth the premium when factoring in the myriad of one-way streets in DT. Secure too. read more

If you find yourself downtown, needing to use the restroom, GO HERE. They seriously have the best "public" women's restroom in downtown Seattle. They have a nice seating area, mirrors where you can check your makeup, and restroom stalls that are actually cleaned, stocked, and do not smell bad. Review for designer shoes salon. Lindsay Langford was amazing! I was walking around until a pair of pink Chanel shoes caught my eye. I wasn't sure if I wanna get them because I had the same style of Gucci shoes and it's really uncomfortable. Lindsay took her time and brought me so many different pair pink shoes until I found the one I like. I love how patient she was with me and not being pushy at all. Oh man, apparently I picked the worst time to go. Lines were insane. I was going to get some bath gloves but that line wasn't worth waiting in. I liked the large shoe section upstairs but didn't find any must-haves for my own shoe collection. Women's clothing is downstairs in the basement but I figured it wasn't worth looking through since my experience with Nordstrom Racks tend to be better shoes and other accessories than clothing. But yes, if you want Ed Hardy housewares, this is the place to find those giant goblets. read more

We ate at the Cafe Upstairs. I had the waitress forget to bring us silverware and thoroughly piss off the customer next to us (I think she in particular although nice, was a bit forgetful), I still had a great time. I like how they strive to have the best customer service and treat you well. The whole atmosphere of Nordstrom is simply wonderful. I do want them to try harder on making the kids meals better quality, just because they are smaller doesn't mean they get yuckier stuff. This will cost them 1 star. read more

I am a Nordstroms addict!! I love Nordstroms and whenever I travel, I make it a point to stop by Nordstroms! So of course, on my trip to Seattle- I HAD to check out the Flagship Store! This is by far the best Nordstroms I have ever been to! Their customer services is spectacular! They go above and beyond to help their customers! I thought all the other Nordstroms stores that I've been to had great customer service, but the Flagship store blows them all out of the water! Its four stories of the goodness that is Nordstroms! And every employee I encountered was beyond helpful! They definitely know how to cater to their customers, even during their most hectic time of year- Opening weekend of their Women's Semiannual sale. read more

The young men's section is ALL garbage. Think True Religion, Ed Hardy type stuff. They strive to be "on-trend" but seem to be a few years behind with what's actually trendy at any given time. Where's the Tanner, APC, Filson, Gitman, Gant Rugger, RRL or freaking even Nudies? If you're a younger guy, you'd be better set going to Blackbird or Barneys. The menswear section is stocked with stodgy mediocre labels that are made in China, Huge effing Boss and then the token Gucci display for the visiting cruise passengers and Asian tourists. It shouldn't surprise you that all the salesmen wear those dreadful Joseph Abboud suits about 2" too wide in every measurement. Red flag. Run. You can do much better elsewhere. Think Brooks Bros or Marios or better yet, fly to New York and hit up a J. Press and get something made with some skill. The Brass Plum section blows, too. My girlfriend is skinny and in her 20's and there is nothing to wear out. Cotton tank tops, big cardigans and some jeans. Meh! read more

Short - as short as possible because I have little patience 3. Infrequent - I rarely buy more than 2 things at a time The Nordstrom flagship store is nice. It is probably the nicest department store in the Pacific Northwest. My trips here have mainly been to pacify my female friends when they visit, BUT I have one confession: I wear Toms shoes. Yep. This place usually has a good selection. The shoetenders (that's what I call them) know that I'm not looking to chat it up. Bring me what you have in a size 13 and I'll grab the ones that I want. Nordstrom is a magical place. The products are high quality and the service is remarkable. I've had three bad experiences at this store in the last 3 years. Ahhhh, the flagship Nordstrom store! Walking in felt like I was returning home. I admit, I've been shopping at Nordstrom for way too long now. But you can't beat their selection, products, and customer service! It's top notch! I went to my fav department and sent my husband to the bar where a game was playing on the TV. They've thought of everything...a bar in the middle of a department store? Genius. While the husband was in good hands I was waited on by Alex. She styled my dressing room perfectly! Oh, you shop at places that don't style your dressing room? You're missing out then. To my selection of clothes, Alex added some jeans and jewelry and displayed the clothing in perfectly paired outfits. Alex checked on me often and retrieved new sizes I needed. After paying I returned to the bar where my husband was. He looked puzzled and said, "you better have purchased something, you were gone a while." "I did!" I exclaimed It was all shipped to my house for free by the wonderful Alex. This was perfect as I had no room in my carry on anyway. What a store and what great service! read more

There are customers and employees walking around without masks, and Nordstrom is not requiring proof of vaccination for anyone. Gross! I also get a robotic vibe from the employees sometimes (not their fault, I blame management). I know the employees are forced to ask customers if they want to start a fitting room, but not everyone wants to try things on, especially in fitting rooms where people aren't wearing masks!!! Management needs to do better and not force their employees to badger people the whole time. read more

Always loved Nordstrom and always will. Though the department store is known for it's higher-end products, the quality of customer service is what brings me back and makes me willing to spend a little more cash for a quality product. If ever anything goes wrong with what I've purchased, or if I just downright don't want/like it anymore, I can rest assured that I have the option of bringing it back or exchanging it, no questions asked. Like so many in Seattle, I have been coming to Nordstrom since I was a small child. I not only shop at Nordstrom, but I have been a vendor for Nordstrom in years past and have met many wonderful people who I think of as friends through shopping at Nordstrom. Honestly, I have never had a negative experience at Nordstrom. I have bought, and bought, and at times I have returned products that I didn't like or that didn't' work. And, I have always had great service when doing both buying and returning. I have a couple of great gals that I use in cosmetics Tressa, and Stephanie they rock that department. I have a hot guy in salon shoes that I really just like to look at (Matthew) and a handful of great gals that help me in Saavy. After shopping at Nordstrom for 40plus years I never really get tired of the store and in fact I always feel like I am at home. I highly recommend this store. read more

Nordstrom excels in Customer Service. Every single employee will go above and beyond to help you in anything and everything you may need. Whether it be finding a size instore, or calling across the country to have just what you need shipped to you. I highly recommend signing up for the Nordstrom debit card. The money comes out of your checking account in 3 business days or less. You earn rewards points that equal big discounts and you also get free alterations!! You also get to pick triple rewards days. I've saved over $100 using my Nordy's debit. There is always a wide selection of items instore, but be sure to check out their online exclusives as well. As a side note, this isn't a "fancy" store as some claim it to be. It's just a model of what a GOOD department store should be like. read more
