What the Chicken Katsu actually looks like. Dry and flavorless.
    Ati B.

Wow. Nearly $80 for old dry teriyaki from a place that has an OKAY health department rating. We're always looking for decent teriyaki because Issaquah doesn't have any, so when this place had such great reviews we made the 25 min drive. The food photos from the "influencers" are a lie. They honestly should be removed. The Katsu chicken was dry and for $17 you only get ONE cutlet, not two like the picture falsely lead you to believe. The beef was less than 2oz worth of meat and the spicy chicken is like eating tires. Honestly, a tire might have a better texture. I want to call my bank and request a charge back because this was false advertisement.

We were looking for quick and relatively cheap to eat and we realized we haven't been to this spot. We ordered chicken fried rice, chicken and beef teriyaki, and gyoza. Everything was pretty decent. Not amazing, but not bad either. The teriyaki sauce seemed standard and the beef was over cooked. The fried rice didn't taste special either. I added some hot sauce to it, which did make it better. I did like the gyoza the most. The owner was really nice so I don't regret coming here. But to be honest, I don't think I'd be back.

This restaurant is one of the few teriyaki restaurants that I come back time and time again whenever I am craving teriyaki. It's a good spot to eat with friends as the food portion has good serving side and the price is fair. I came here a few times and since then, the owner would recognize me and greet me so sweetly, which is when you know you're a regular. I normally get the standard Chicken teriyaki, but sometimes, I would explore other options like the chicken teriyaki and tempura of yakisoba or yaki udon. One thing I recommend bringing is a coat or something warm since the tables are close to the door, so sometimes, you can feel the cold draft whenever someone opens the door.

For anyone that reads my posts, you know that I like chicken teriyaki. I'm a traveling salesman and I go to many parts of the pacific NW. But today I am reviewing a teriyaki place less than 3 miles from home and the food is exactly what I was hoping for. Great sauce that is heavy on the ginger, blackened edges but not too dry chicken and extremely quick service. Thank you Fuji Teriyaki for giving me a new local place for my chicken thigh need. AND, they are open on Sundays!

Ordered chicken teriyaki online for pick up. The chicken teriyaki had a good flavor but wish that there was more teriyaki sauce because it was dry. The salad dressing was good as well.

The food is amazing, the service is awesome, owners are so kind and I'm happy to come back here every time I'm in the area.

It was good food. Meat portion on the beef was pretty light but the chicken was plenty. We also had fried rice and the portion for that was very large. The gyoza was delicious. Lastly, the owners were really nice and happy to help us.

Chicken Teriyaki, Chicken & Gyoza Teriyaki w/ yakisoba & Combination Chicken & Beef teriyaki yakisoba.
    Rachel S.

Unfortunately, I won't be coming back to this Teriyaki. Yakisoba was so bland doesn't even have any vegetable or flavor for that matter. I was kind of disappointed.. The combination barely came with meat. I guess I'll stick to the ones I like. It was not a good experience.

I highly recommend this place. Sushi roll was very tasty and savory Also waitress was very friendly us. We will come back soon. Thanks

We tried again a week or so later as my work is close by and we wanted something quick and affordable as we had a comedy show to go to afterwards. As we entered, we were the only ones and we were greeted warmly by the sushi chef and our waitress. Our waitress told us to pick any table we'd like and she brought us menus. Once we had ample time to glance over the menu which honestly had the right amount of items, I got the udon and shrimp tempura while my boyfriend got their Philadelphia roll and chicken katsu. Our waitress asked if we were fine with water and I didn't see a drink section on the menu but they do offer fountain drinks, canned drinks and hot tea. The inside is small but it's cozy and initmate. They have K-pop playing in the background with the music video. There is a good mix of natural lighting from the sun and inside. The bathroom was clean and well-maintained. We received our roll and shrimp tempura first, udon next and finally the chicken katsu. The katsu sauce here is one of the best katsu sauce we've ever had as it had a perfect balance of tangy, sweet and savory flavors. There was a lot of katsu and my boyfriend said the only complaint was he wished there was a bit more rice as the ratio was off. I loved my udon, they give a generous portion of fish cakes, fish balls and a piece of shrimp tempura as well as plenty of tempura flakes. I do wish there was a bit more noodles but that was my only real complaint. The shrimp tempura was good but I do wish there was a bit more sauce. My boyfriend's roll was delicious and fresh! Their hot green tea was also comforting and delightful! The service here is pleasant as our waitress was kind and checked in on us often. She was also courteous and professional with other customers. We look forward to coming back whenever we're hungry for good and affordable sushi and Korean food.

The cashier/server is very sweet! She made sure we were satisfied with our sushi and kept coming back to check in on us. The place is cute inside, it was actually very roomy, has a lot of natural light and they had some K-pop videos playing in the background. The restaurant is tucked away near the closed down Old Country Buffett in Kent East Hill. I really should've tried coming here instead of traveling to Renton for some sushi! But I will definitely return for more of their delicious sushi!!! I would definitely give them a try if you're in the area.

Besides, family was coming in at SeaTac and we recently moved back to the Renton/Kent/Tukwila area so with the use of GPS, they'd be able to find the restaurant. We met together at the same time. The restaurant has changed considerably. Previously the menu included Korean dishes, but with new management, Korean fare was removed from the menu, much to our surprise. The Kalbi/Bulgogi was excellent and we would order a Bento-style box meal which included the Korean specialties. Though somewhat disappointed, the new menu provided so many new sushi choices, we were distracted from the missing preparations. The Sushi/Sashimi platter was our first order, to give us more time to peruse the great looking menu. Our initial order arrived which appeared so enticing with the fresh (raw) portions of buttery salmon, tuna, Ahi, Nigiri and a California Roll. Excellent! Then came the Sweet Dreams & Sounder rolls and Ikura (2-pieces) and a Special Agent roll. Least I forget to mention Asahi bottled beer (regular & non-alcoholic) to round off the meal. Due to not having the Korean ingredients, only four stars this time. The ambiance of the restaurant seems to have changed over the years. There were perhaps 10-12 other diners whereas during our previous visits the restaurant would be crowded and bustling with a cacophony of voices discussing menu choices. It was 5:00PM on a Saturday evening and crowds were usually expected. Service was excellent, the waiter was patient and provided lots of information about the new ownership & menu. The sashimi was fresh & tasty and sushi rolls were expertly prepared. Sushi Today continues to be highly recommended if you're in the Renton area.

Service was great at first, though they didnt check in if we wanted to order more (we had gotten a few small plates to start but when we wanted more we couldnt find anyone and no one checked in). But towards closing they were pretty pushy about us finishing up and leaving (and verbally told us so) which I'm not used to experiencing (we weren't the only ones that were there late and hadnt been there too long).. and I'm not usually at restaurants til close (this was just a long overdue catchup) so it was kind of irritating that they were so pushy about it. We had gotten off work late and made plans but couldn't find many places open late, so we had to make do with the times available (everything pretty much closed by 830 or 9p), so it was a really rushed dinner and felt like that when they rushed us midway to hurry up. Otherwise, other than some rolls seeming a tad expensive, they were pretty good. Some were better than others, we tried about four of them. The fave dish though was the ika geso (fried squid) appetizer, the sauce was bomb. Would come back.

Service was solid overall staff was attentive despite how busy it was but they did miss our hamachi kama, which was a bit of a letdown. A couple things to note: this place is cash only, and it gets very busy, so expect a bit of a wait. That said, the vibe is nice, and the design of the space is something I actually liked.
