    Korean menu
    Barry C.

Been driving past a sandwich board the past few weeks advertising the new management and Korean menu so decided why not. Boy am I glad I stopped in. Super friendly staff and was promptly greeted with a big smile. I was already sold on Korean food, so I quickly settled on beef bulgogi which they said was plenty to share with an 8-year-old. Food came out pretty quickly and it was fresh and hot and very tasty. my 8-year-old was definitely satisfied to the point he added it to his of "birthday restaurants" which should be enough said....give this place a try. I don't think you will be disappointed.

The food is delicious and cooked perfectly ! First day had a miso soup and spicy tuna sushi great taste soup was full of tasty vegetables and couple pieces of large pork !! Second day tried something off the new Korean food menu and it did not disappoint!! spicy fried chicken came on a skillet loaded up and hot ! Perfect spice and everything tasted awesome !! Even came with rice and loaded with sides before you even get the main entree !! Overall awesome food and can't wait to try more !

When the memorable part of your teriyaki meal is the salad, it's missing the mark. I will go elsewhere next time.

In short About as good as it gets for yaki. I tend to go for…read morethe grilled style more often, but for pan/flattop-fried, it's hard to imagine a better plate of chicken than this. In long This is a huge strip mall parking lot that just disappears in a sea of huge strip mall parking lots along the big street out front. GC is tucked into one of the smallest suites you can imagine here; there's retail a short hop away that must be over 20K square feet, but here there's space for maybe 6 stools at the little counters. You have to turn sideways (not kidding) to read the menu. It's simple--a few proteins, served a few different ways, also available as combos. Most of their business is to-go orders. There's a cooler of pops and a couple sports drinks, and there's lovely classical music on the speakers somewhere. I listened to a pretty sonata for piano and string quartet while I waited and ate. The lady is super nice, a woman of few words and constant activity. She's answering the phone, grabbing online orders, and smiling at walk-ins. I got a pop and the spicy chicken combo. There's Sriracha on the counter. The miso was solid, and the salad had a little more than the usual iceberg and shreds in it. Some leaf lettuce, too! The chicken is super moist and nicely flavorful, but even getting the Spicy I still hit the Sriracha pretty hard. Amazing flavor and texture even without the scoring from the grill. I ate more than half of it before it occurred to me that some smoky grillness might be nice, so nothing's missing here. The rice is soft and chewy, solid light flavor, plenty of moisture still in it. Fresh made for sure. Prices here are right in line with everybody else. Looks like their KFC is a big hit and I might have to be back for that.

High hopes, but left underwhelmed…read more I visited Akane Ramen in Mill Creek for the first time during peak lunch hours and was surprised to find only one other party dining there. We were seated quickly and service was prompt throughout the meal. 1) We started with the Garlic Beef Chahan (fried rice). It came in a generous portion and had decent flavor, but it was a bit oilier than I would have liked. I also didn't notice any green onions, which could have helped brighten up both the flavor and presentation. Visually, it was pretty much just brown on brown. It wasn't bad, but it's probably something I'd skip on a return visit. 2) For my entrée, I ordered the Tonkatsu Shoyu Ramen with an extra side of noodles. The ramen arrived piping hot and fairly quickly. Unfortunately, despite specifically asking for the extra noodles on the side, they were added directly into the bowl. Not a huge issue, but a little disappointing. The noodles themselves had a nice texture, and the pork was decent. The biggest letdown was the broth. I found it surprisingly bland and lacking the depth and richness that I look for in a good bowl of ramen. It needed more seasoning and overall flavor to bring everything together. It made me think of dirty dish water. Oh yeah, they also cheated me by not adding in the egg. Just noticed that as I am writing my review and looking at the picture. Overall, I had high hopes for a ramen spot so close to home, but I left feeling underwhelmed. Maybe it was just an off day, but for now, I'm willing to drive a little farther for a truly memorable bowl of ramen. There are better options out there for those looking to satisfy a ramen craving.
