Breakfast Special: Pastrami Hash with Sunny-side eggs
    Tracy W.

Another great Yelp referral (yum). We had the breakfast special of Pastrami Hash with home-made jam. I love a good "hash" with real potatoes and sunny-side eggs and I wasn't disappointed. Coffee was freshly brewed perfect. We took advantage of the outdoor ambiance of morning sun and dined al fresco at the picnic tables. Service was spot on. Will come back.

I had breakfast this morning at The Twins with my family. We have been coming here since they opened back in 2020. During the Covid shutdown, they became my go-to takeout. They used to write positive phrases and messages on their takeout containers to give people a sense of hope and love for the community. Once we were able to dine outside they opened a nice patio area in the parking lot and it was great. The Twins themselves are wonderful servers/hostesses and they also have a great staff of other servers as well. I am so glad they got through those times and still continue to offer great food to the neighborhood. Their menu is sort of a mix of New Orleans, Mexican and generic American breakfast dishes. They do everything pretty well! I am a big fan of their breakfast tacos as much as I love their beignets and French toast! They also have really good sandwiches at lunch! This morning, I had their breakfast tacos, which are very messy but delicious! My wife had their special omelette, which was stuffed with zucchini, spinach and feta cheese. I love supporting our local restaurants and I think they are worth a visit even if you are coming from out of town.

This is one of my go-to restaurants. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The food has always been good, and the portions are plentiful. Got to love a family run place.

Perfect place for a hearty meal. Service is friendly and they keep your coffee cup full. The country fried steak and eggs is delicious and tasty. Definitely coming back

The food here is a step above most diners. So happy to see this place is continuing to receive wonderful reviews. We arrived after the weekend rush and to our surprise, there were open tables! We normally sit outside but decided to sit in their dining room since it felt spacious and peaceful. It is comfortable and clean inside with some artwork on the wall. One of the sweet twins greeted us and invited us to take a seat of our choice. Their menu provides a nice variety of breakfast and lunch options plus a list of specials noted on the wall. My husband saw several things he wanted to try but finally narrowed it down. We decided to order: Eggplant breakfast - breaded eggplant with mushroom gravy, country potatoes, 2 eggs and enormous biscuit Tri tip benedict with bearnaise sauce (special of the day) Grilled chicken sandwich I spotted our server's twin! I wonder if they purposely dress the same to keep us guessing. lol ! They are both so cute and definitely one of the highlights of this place. Warm, welcoming, friendly and ready to help make your dining experience a pleasant and memorable one. They both work non-stop ensuring their guests are having a good time. Our server was refilling coffee, hot water for the tea and iced water without us having to even think about asking. Our dishes looked amazing but it tasted even better. I often order chicken sandwiches and this one was by far the best I've ever had. Honest! I loved the arugula, tomatoes, avocado, bacon, pepper jack cheese with a lemon aioli sauce. The bun is not your typical bun. It is light but hearty and doesn't fall apart as you're trying to enjoy your sandwich. It was quite a lovely sandwich and I enjoyed the hand cut fries too. There was no way I could eat the second half, so lucky me I have leftovers for tomorrow. Our server did mention that the chicken sandwich is one of their most popular dishes. My dining companions thoroughly enjoyed their lunches too. They said everything was seasoned well and tasted fresh and homemade. The tri tip was tender and the eggplant was prepared well and covered in a nice mushroom gravy. My husband really enjoyed his fluffy biscuit too with the homemade preserves. Our tummies were very satisfied and happy as we left. We are looking forward to returning and enjoying some of their other delicious creations. There are a half dozen tables outside on the sidewalk. Plenty of parking shared with other restaurants, shops and Oliver's Market.

Chicken Fried Steak. Really good but different

Awesome service! Small homely restaurant with great food. Portions were huge. They had so many of my favorites, so we will be back if in the neighborhood again.

    Crab Louie Salad.

Fantastic local Cotati restaurant! Crab Louie salad was fresh and delicious. My husband had the crab melt on sourdough, and he loved it too!

Love, love, love this place. The food is delicious and plentiful. The staff is friendly and efficient. I come here anytime I'm in the area. Love the Benedict - lots of fresh cooked spinach on top of their homemade biscuits. One of the best Benedicts ever. Friend had the huevos and almost licked the plate. The BLT was huge and delicious as well.

Excellent service and scrumptious food!!! Outstanding establishment and will be back!!!

Portions too burnt to eat. I've ordered this same dish & it's usually tender and succulent. This shouldnt have been served.

I've never been disappointed with The Twins; their dishes are usually top tier. Generous and delicious. Today, however, I had an order to go for a pulled pork sandwich that was not up to par. The meat was way overcooked- see black burned portion in photo - dry and stringy. For $18 I expect much better. Thankful I ordered additional sides or I would still be hungry. Please be consistent.

Went specifically for the waffle with real maple syrup. It was tender inside and crispy on the outside, Flavor was good. The staff are very friendly and service was attentive.

We read about it while looking for somewhere new to try for breakfast. I must say i will be back and it did not disappoint! It's a small to medium size simple looking cafe in the Oliver's Mkt strip mall, owned by twins who's also hired other twins to work at the joint! Anyway, we started with coffee that was excellent, they use Peerless whom i highly approve of. It was hard to decide what to have as so many things sounded great. Plus as it turns out, not only is everything delicious, they are huge portions which can be shared or save half for tomorrow's meal. My husband and i could not resist trying the same thing; an omelette special that had Bri cheese, bacon, mushrooms, sweet grilled onion, and spinach, We both chose the homemade biscuits for our toast that came with wonderful homemade strawberry preserves. The omelette was scandalously, decadently, delicious! It also came with perfectly crisp home fries (tried hubbies), and they allowed me to sub for a lovely mixed baby greens salad with a very very tasty homemade (not bottled!) ranch dressing. They say all their sauces, condiments, and dressing are made from scratch except a few hot sauce bottles on the table. My son got the Country Benedict with subbed Country gravy which was also perfectly creamy and flavorful. I can't wait to try some of their sweet breakfasts where they provide real Maple syrup and fresh berries and homemade whip-cream! I also really want to get to trying the Benedict's with their home made Meyer lemon hollandaise. I saw a lady who ordered a tuna melt with side salad, a HUGE plateful! It was a little crowded, causing a little slow response time to coffee or cream refills, but the quality of everything made up for it. I'll say it again, we'll be back!

We've been coming back to this area for a class once a month, and stopping here for breakfast has been a must to try a new plate. Service continues to nice and lively. Overall, it's a pleasant and welcoming experience each time and the food is delish.

Our server was incredibly friendly, and the entire room shared the same warm, easygoing vibe. The small, speakeasy themed space was already packed at 5 PM, so reservations seem like a must. Everything we ordered was well-prepared and delicious, but the standout dishes were the beet salad and the shrimp & grits. The beet salad had a perfect mix of textures; chopped pistachios, tender beets, and crunchy radishes over a pillowy ricotta. I finished the salad wishing there was more. The shrimp & grits featured a potlikker sauce that absolutely lived up to the hype; it made the dish. I wish the shrimp & grits were served in a bowl rather than a shallow dish. I found myself chasing the sauce and polenta around the plate, trying not to push it over the edge. That said, if it were in a bowl, I might have just drank the sauce, so perhaps this is the restaurant's way of preserving a bit of dignity for its guests. Next time, I'm hoping to visit when oyster po' boys and fried green tomatoes are on the menu.

The vibe is effortlessly chill, with whimsical decor--think antique lamps, an old record player, and lots of little details that make you want to look around. The whole place felt alive in the best way--buzzing with conversation, laughter, and people clearly having a great time. We didn't have a reservation, but lucked out with seats at the community table. Bonus: the other guests were super welcoming, which just added to the fun, communal feel. We hit happy hour, and wow--it's a good one. Tons of interesting bites and a solid drink lineup. I went with a whiskey sour, my friend had the ginger beer on draft (very refreshing), and we shared the prawns, Brussels sprouts, and creamy mac & cheese. Everything was seriously delicious. Shoutout to our server, Melanie--friendly, attentive, and totally on it, even with the place packed. A couple things to note: it does get loud, so maybe not your spot if you're after a quiet, intimate dinner. Also, the happy hour menu listed Brussels sprouts but didn't mention bacon--I'm vegetarian, so that was a bit of a surprise. (It is noted on the regular dinner menu, which I admittedly didn't check.) All in all, such a fun, lively spot. I'll definitely be back for more bites and cocktails.

We got there at 11 we were seated immediately and it took them about 30 minutes to take our order. Not to mention that the original girl who came to talk to us, was only able to take our drinks and she told us that another server would come back to get our actual food order. The mocha oaxaqueño was actually pretty good. The actual food I got was all right. To be honest it's a little strange when you go to a restaurant and the coffee is better than the actual plate. I got the chilaquiles, normally when you get this plate anywhere else, everything is kind of mixed together, which gives everything a good flavor. In this case the eggs were separated from the chorizo, which was also kind of separated from the actual chilaquiles. Since they were all separated, you couldn't really taste the flavor on the eggs or the chorizo of the Chilaquiles. Therefore, I was not a fan of the dish. I will say that while we were there, no one came to check on us or ask us if we liked our food or if we needed anything. The place inside is very loud and packed. Anyways, it was a little strange to eat somewhere where the server hardly talks to you in a restaurant that is kind of empty. I'm not really sure that the food was good enough for me to come back. But the coffee was definitely good. This would be something I would probably buy for a takeout.

It was late, i guess 45 min before closing. Looking at the menu it all looked great, creative etc. i asked the server shot the food and he said oh everything is made from scratch., etc. we're got two bowls, the dragon bowl and the roast beef bowl to go. We got them home and opened them up. The roast beef bowl was described as being served over a bed of home made mashed potatoes topped with home made gravy and special horseradish sauce. Tasting it, it was a way too salty and the meat was so mushy it blended way too seamlessly with the brown gravy to my taste, ie it was all a mush of sauce over more mushy mashed potato! But i preferred its flavor over the dragon bowl, but definitely did not taste like a home made beef gravy from scratch, it was on the overly thickened by corn starch side, with that fake bouillon taste. Dragon Bowl looks good, topped with crunchy cashews that had slight rancid taste, and fresh green onion. And sadly, the chunks of chicken in it were hard, ie tough, precooked for who-knows-how-long-tasting; old tasting. And the sauce was way too sweet. I was disappointed with the $35 bill. We took the food to go. Once we tasted it at home we basically threw it all in the garbage. What a waste but, yuck. Sorry! Ambiance: The place was empty of patrons, and felt like it was closing now even though they still have 45 min. Our two bowls were ordered were handed to us super fast after ordering, like it took no time to prepare, explaining the poor flavor and quality we experienced, plus look at what others have written about all this premade fast food. I want to give one star, but I'll give 2, in benefit of the doubt they were trying to close early and rushed things vs if it were earlier in evening with more clientele.
