Another great Yelp referral (yum). We had the breakfast special of Pastrami Hash with home-made jam. I love a good "hash" with real potatoes and sunny-side eggs and I wasn't disappointed. I had breakfast this morning at The Twins with my family. We have been coming here since they opened back in 2020. During the Covid shutdown, they became my go-to takeout. They used to write positive phrases and messages on their takeout containers to give people a sense of hope and love for the community. Once we were able to dine outside they opened a nice patio area in the parking lot and it was great. The Twins themselves are wonderful servers/hostesses and they also have a great staff of other servers as well. I am so glad they got through those times and still continue to offer great food to the neighborhood. Their menu is sort of a mix of New Orleans, Mexican and generic American breakfast dishes. They do everything pretty well! I am a big fan of their breakfast tacos as much as I love their beignets and French toast! They also have really good sandwiches at lunch! This morning, I had their breakfast tacos, which are very messy but delicious! My wife had their special omelette, which was stuffed with zucchini, spinach and feta cheese. I love supporting our local restaurants and I think they are worth a visit even if you are coming from out of town. read more

The food here is a step above most diners. So happy to see this place is continuing to receive wonderful reviews. We arrived after the weekend rush and to our surprise, there were open tables! We normally sit outside but decided to sit in their dining room since it felt spacious and peaceful. It is comfortable and clean inside with some artwork on the wall. One of the sweet twins greeted us and invited us to take a seat of our choice. Their menu provides a nice variety of breakfast and lunch options plus a list of specials noted on the wall. My husband saw several things he wanted to try but finally narrowed it down. We decided to order: Eggplant breakfast - breaded eggplant with mushroom gravy, country potatoes, 2 eggs and enormous biscuit Tri tip benedict with bearnaise sauce (special of the day) Grilled chicken sandwich I spotted our server's twin! I wonder if they purposely dress the same to keep us guessing. lol ! They are both so cute and definitely one of the highlights of this place. Warm, welcoming, friendly and ready to help make your dining experience a pleasant and memorable one. They both work non-stop ensuring their guests are having a good time. Our server was refilling coffee, hot water for the tea and iced water without us having to even think about asking. Our dishes looked amazing but it tasted even better. I often order chicken sandwiches and this one was by far the best I've ever had. Honest! I loved the arugula, tomatoes, avocado, bacon, pepper jack cheese with a lemon aioli sauce. The bun is not your typical bun. It is light but hearty and doesn't fall apart as you're trying to enjoy your sandwich. It was quite a lovely sandwich and I enjoyed the hand cut fries too. There was no way I could eat the second half, so lucky me I have leftovers for tomorrow. Our server did mention that the chicken sandwich is one of their most popular dishes. My dining companions thoroughly enjoyed their lunches too. They said everything was seasoned well and tasted fresh and homemade. The tri tip was tender and the eggplant was prepared well and covered in a nice mushroom gravy. My husband really enjoyed his fluffy biscuit too with the homemade preserves. Our tummies were very satisfied and happy as we left. We are looking forward to returning and enjoying some of their other delicious creations. There are a half dozen tables outside on the sidewalk. We read about it while looking for somewhere new to try for breakfast. I must say i will be back and it did not disappoint! It's a small to medium size simple looking cafe in the Oliver's Mkt strip mall, owned by twins who's also hired other twins to work at the joint! Anyway, we started with coffee that was excellent, they use Peerless whom i highly approve of. It was hard to decide what to have as so many things sounded great. Plus as it turns out, not only is everything delicious, they are huge portions which can be shared or save half for tomorrow's meal. My husband and i could not resist trying the same thing; an omelette special that had Bri cheese, bacon, mushrooms, sweet grilled onion, and spinach, We both chose the homemade biscuits for our toast that came with wonderful homemade strawberry preserves. The omelette was scandalously, decadently, delicious! It also came with perfectly crisp home fries (tried hubbies), and they allowed me to sub for a lovely mixed baby greens salad with a very very tasty homemade (not bottled!) ranch dressing. They say all their sauces, condiments, and dressing are made from scratch except a few hot sauce bottles on the table. My son got the Country Benedict with subbed Country gravy which was also perfectly creamy and flavorful. I can't wait to try some of their sweet breakfasts where they provide real Maple syrup and fresh berries and homemade whip-cream! I also really want to get to trying the Benedict's with their home made Meyer lemon hollandaise. I saw a lady who ordered a tuna melt with side salad, a HUGE plateful! Second time here and everything was wonderful. The place was packed when we arrived at 11:30 on a Saturday morning but we snagged a table outside under the awning. It was a chilly day but they had ample outdoor heaters that made things comfortable. Husband ordered the chilaquiles rojo and added chorizo, and I went for their two egg breakfast ($10 and comes with two eggs your way, breakfast potatoes, and a slice of toast or biscuit). I opted to go for the $3 up charge for a sausage patty. Where can you get a full breakfast for $13 these days?! Service throughout our meal was outstanding and the food was great. This isn't your typical breakfast/lunch diner- their food is crafted with great care and love and it shows. I was pleasantly surprised when my plate arrived with not one but two sausage patties (was only charged for one). These were clearly house made and were delicious. Their homemade jam was stellar!! As the restaurant is named for the two twin sisters who own the place, they always give a little extra treatment to any twins who might come in. We were seated next to a family who had twin girls, maybe 4ish. The owners brought out a big wooden sign that said "The Twins" and photographed the girls holding it. I believe they keep a photo wall of each of these inside. The whole thing was adorable to watch. What a great way to make your customers feel valued. We happened to be visiting on their 5th anniversary and they had us fill out these little cards with our info- they're doing a raffle and will be giving certain items away. Thought that was a fun touch. The energy here is a lot of fun and the food is really great. We live in Santa Rosa so this place isn't super close but it's definitely worth a special trip. This is our first visit. We were greeted right away. This is a cute family operates restaurant. They don't offer fancy latte or other hand craft coffee. Only regular coffee. But let me tell you, their Regular coffee is the best I have ever had. It was not burn, not sour, but smooth and very great pleasing test with milk. My husband had banana pancake, it was very tasty. ( The made it one regular, and one with pan fried sliced banana on the base. )I ordered Avocado toast. Everything was perfect, the lemon vinegar on fresh greens with fresh avocado on top of 2 halves toast, with diced pickled onion. I did not know diced up pickled onion can taste this good on avocado toast. It was so good that I vow to take my family here often. I wish there were 2 poached eggs to get my protein level up. But for the price of $12, it was is very fair. We will come back soon! Ps, one of the twin sister were helping us making choices, she was so helpful and sweet. My first time here and they had a pulled pork hash advertised as a special. So I gave it a try. While it was tasty overall, it was certainly not hash.. When it was served, it really looked like a plate of food that had just come out of a crockpot. The potatoes were wet, and the pieces of meat were relatively substantial. This does not constitute hash in my eyes where the potatoes and the meat are chopped to an even consistency. That was certainly not the case here. The biscuit was phenomenal and the jam was good. People were friendly and the service was excellent. I've been hearing about this place for years and man am I mad at myself for sleeping on it! I had the Thai chicken wraps (which was the special of the day) with a side salad. The dressing was so tasty (I got the balsamic) and the salad was super fresh. The wrap itself was super big, I took half home. My husband had the breakfast tacos, he said they were an easy 10/10. We also got a short stack...they were so simple, clean and delicious. I know calling the food clean is weird...but what I mean is that you can tell everything is fresh and not processed. It truly is how food is intended to be. Julie, one of the owners and twins, was super pleasant. As were two of the servers, also twins. Stopped here for the first time to try this cute restaurant in the plaza in Cotati that features Oliver's Market. I walked in, and it felt inviting, the restaurant dining room was clean and well appointed, I appreciated that efforts were made to transform the dining space from a typical shopping center establishment to something a little warmer. There is an outdoor seating option, on the sidewalk in front. A small countertop surrounds their coffee station where I sat to enjoy breakfast. The two things that seem to stand out to me for this obvious small business that is cared for deeply by the people that operate. It is first the enthusiasm and happiness each team member seems to have. I felt welcomed by multiple ladies on the team, my coffee was refilled attentively, and there was an overall friendly vibe in the place, as I heard waitresses speaking to families at nearby tables. Second - besides your typical breakfast fare, there is a specials menu that seems to have some thought put into it. I believe one of them was a seared Ahi Tuna Benedict, which I thought it sounded interesting. It would be fun to visit in the future to see what the specials are. I chose the "Double Trouble" - your typical American breakfast dish with eggs any way you like them, bacon, or sausage, pancakes, or French toast, and potatoes. The food was cooked to perfection, I had no complaints. I don't prefer breakfast potatoes, but these were good - if it's something you like. The bacon was well done and crispy. Three small suggestions for improvement that to me make a big difference at breakfast: 1) I wish they chose to use pure maple syrup instead of your typical thick non-genuine syrup. I understand it's more expensive. But it would've raised the game on the French toast x 1000. This might not make a difference to everybody, but in general, I do try to clean and I don't like a whole lot of artificial ingredients. I think a lot of folks here in this region do as well. I would've gladly paid an extra $2-$3 for real maple syrup. Perhaps offer it as an option? 2) I would choose different bread for the French toast. Same thing about the cost factor, it's worth an extra few dollars to get something higher grade. The French toast was ok, but for a place that seems to want to separate themselves from your typical diner food to maybe "a cut above" - they could choose some kind of brioche or French bread or similar which would really raise the game. 3) Poor cell service, no restaurant Wi-Fi. A neighboring business offers Wi-Fi so I was able to get some reception. But it is a total cell dead zone inside at least for my carrier. It would be nice if they had dedicated Wi-Fi for clients. All that said - I loved the place and will come back specifically because of the people and what I think are options for family. Plus, a decent value for what you get. I still give them five stars because it felt that way even with those little suggestions that I mentioned. If you are in the area and want a solid breakfast, you will not be disappointment, and you will be well treated. read more

I believe at least one of their husbands works in the kitchen as well. It is a classic diner, located in the Oliver's shopping center with a big parking lot. They have a handful of outdoor seating with propane heaters, as well as indoor table and booth seating. Inside is a little loud with everyone's conversations and the kitchen noise. The staff is so friendly - they'll sit down with you to take your order and are happy to make a recommendation. The food is breakfast and lunch, but a little elevated. I got the tofu scramble (a little bit of spice to it), my mom got the eggs (regular), my sister got the ahi tuna eggs benedict (ambitious but salty), and we all shared a pancake on the side. While in town visiting friends we stopped here for lunch and was extremely impressed by the personality of the staff then come to find out it was one of he owners. I've been a loyal customer since Twins opened. I can't believe that I have never had their Tuna Melt, but I tried one recently, The sandwich was homemade, crafted from locally sourced fish, slow cooked and seasoned to perfection. The fresh fish and the seasonings, held between perfectly toasted sourdough bread, made for a sandwich I was hard pressed to put down. As a septuagenarian, I usually take half the meal home for later; but not this time, It was so good that I ate the whole sandwich. I knew it wouldn't be the same reheated later. I'll have to admit, this was the best Tuna Melt I've ever had. If you are a fan of Tuna Melts, the Twins Tuna Melt should not be missed. read more
