    Potato Crusted Halibut

Tammy wasn't here today. Our server didn't introduce themselves and then had a tone with our order. Not too happy and my fish was so dry.

Fresh tilapia with spinach risotto! Hubby loved his steak and cheesecake too! Coming back soon!

Potato Crusted Halibut (4 stars) - crispy outside, moist inside. The lemon picatta sauce is nice.

Review is for Doordash takeout: We've been making good use of the Dashpass quite a bit over the past few months. Since it was July 3 weekend, I was up for trying a new, meat-centric place. Xenia Bistro seems to have a pretty broad and intriguing menu, and its in Alamo which isn't too far from me. The Pork Chop with brandy-apple chutney turned out pretty good. Thick, boneless, yet still fairly juicy. I liked the generous helping of veggies and mashed potatoes. The potato-crusted Halibut was basically like a hash brown baked into a large, thick piece of fish. Cooked perfectly and not too dry. Its really easy to overcook halibut, especially with 30+ min of delivery. They also provides lots of lemon-picatta sauce to spiff up the fish. Only downsides of the Doordash menu is that they don't seem to have desserts! Anyways, a decent 4-star takeout place in my view with an interesting menu. I saw pasta, paella(!), short ribs, and even chicken cordon bleu.

Everytime I come I'm very happy with the taste. Today I ordered the chipotle honey shrimp and beet salad. I was shocked at how robust in flavor the sauce and shrimp was. The beet salad was also good, note: if you love goat cheese you'll love this. Would you like some beets and salad with that goat cheese?...would be how I would describe the beet salad. Yes I would order them again. Thank you for being so good.

This is what our table looked like after we paid our bill. Apparently they don't pick up dirty dishes here.

We're new to the area and are making it a point to try all the restaurants in Alamo before we venture to WC and Danville. glad we tried it so we can remove it from the list. We aren't coming back ever again. The food was pretty bad, very bland and the ingredients seemed to be low quality. The service could have been ok because she was nice so there was potential. But she left our table full of dirty appetizer plates when she brought out the dinner. I asked for more bread and when she brought it she simply put the new basket on top of the basket that was already there and still ignored the pile of plates in the middle of the table. When we were done with dinner we actually paid our bill with dirty dinner dishes on the table, oh and appetizer plates were still there. It was a Monday night with 4 tables total, so being busy wasn't the issue here. Food * Service *** Atmosphere **

Cheesecake Pancakes - those two pancakes are child sized portions

I hate giving an average score. I like tipping the scale when rating places ...when it's justified. Unfortunately, this place is just average and below avg given that they're charging so much for their food. See pics below. Do you think either dish is worth $12? - The omelette was overcooked. - The hash browns were from who knows where, but I know I can make better. - The pancakes were the smallest I've ever seen. - One measly egg Sunnyside Omelette ordered wasn't even under the omelette section of the menu and no one could tell me if it was an actual omelette. Odd comment, but it's not labeled an omelette on the menu. I wouldn't paid $7-8/dish, which is exactly what happened since I had a Living Social.

A voucher for $25 off a meal. The meal was over $100. Pressed " use gift card" many times. The restaurant said the code was all they needed.

I've eaten here before but many years ago, and it was pricey but good. Read the other negative reviews. This time, the food was bland and tasteless. Portion size was OK Pork chop was tough and not marinated. Paella was tasteless and was supposed to be saffron rice but tasteless and no yellow color. Halibut was overcooked with a bad hash brown potato coating. We said we were splitting the dishes, no extra plates brought to split, despite request. Before I entered, I asked if they accepted a $25 coupon that I was going to use. They said yes. I asked them to look at it to make sure it was good- they said they didn't have to until after dinner. If they had told me they didn't accept the card or it was invalid, I would not have eaten there. After dinner, I showed them the coupon with a code number. They said that's all you need. Then they came back and said the code didn't work. I said I expected them to take the $25 off the bill. They refused. They refused to let me talk with the owner. They threatened to call the police. This is the rudest and worst restaurant experience I ever had. I will never return. We paid the bill in full ( over $100) and tipped. Even the business card is wrong. Says their hours are to 9pm- the latest is 830.

The moment I touched the iPad to join the waitlist, a waitress asked how many people in our party to which my BFF and I responded, "two" and we were whisked away and seated promptly! Fantastic! During our meal, several waiters checked in on us and made sure we had ordered or if we wanted anything else! Detailed and friendly service. The second time I visited we got on the waitlist half an hour before arriving and were seated within 15 minutes of arriving. The only thing is since there is a long waitlist on Sundays, long conversations aren't very possible without various staff frequently intervening to ask if you want boxes to go... even if you're still chewing. I do understand it's to keep groups cycling through so that everyone can enjoy a meal here. F O O D My friend wanted to try various appetizers so she ordered the Korean fried chicken, crispy brussel sprouts, and earl grey croffle. I ordered the sweet maple omelette. The Korean fried chicken was great, with its wonderful crunch and flavorful hint of spice. The brussel sprouts were indeed delicately crispy as described and tasty; I couldn't stop eating them! I also thoroughly enjoyed their namesake omelette; it was a big portion too. What stole the show was the earl grey croffle!! A light crunchy yet soft croissant waffle with burrata(!!) blueberries marinated in Earl grey(!!) & basil extra virgin olive oil and their housemade blueberry marmalade was such a strange combination to imagine but a beautiful taste experience. I would have never considered adding burrata cheese with basil evoo and earl grey blueberries to a croffle but I am grateful to the skilled chef who did at this restaurant! I can't wait to come back just for this very delicious appetizer/dessert. D R I N K S My BFF ordered a coffee and I ordered the hot coconut cream latte. The coconut cream latte was dreamy and sweet. I have also tried the iced Ube latte on another visit and it was good but not as good as the coconut cream latte. It needed a touch of something else to balance the sweetness of the Ube, not sure what really. I am intrigued by the floral tonic espresso so I'll try that on my next visit! A M B I A N C E The decor and open dining area with its glass windows make the area feel airy and inviting. It's a very aesthetic vibe inside. There is chatter and laughter but nothing excessive, except the second time when we were seated by a table with unruly children, though that is no fault of the establishment, just the parents. This for sure a great place for a brunch with the girlies or a date post farmers market. Just make sure to get on the waitlist via Yelp to plan your visit ahead of time! This place is always busy, as it should be!! P A R K I N G Parking was slightly difficult to find since the farmers market was also going on at this time when we visited on a Sunday late morning but we were able to find paid street parking within 5 minutes. I would recommend planning for some extra time to find parking if you're coming on a Sunday (due to the farmers market). The second time I went on a Sunday around 11 am it took me 10 minutes to find parking and I got lucky since it was someone leaving the farmers market. Also please note that the farmers market closes the streets that Google Maps will try to take you through to get here.

But my favorite starter was definitely the Di Stefano Burrata, a round of cheese with a creamy center, served with toast and grilled prosciutto-wrapped peaches, which added the perfect salty and sweet flavor to complement the cheese. For our mains, we had the King Salmon, served over a corn and bean succotash and topped with pesto sauce; the juicy Cider Brined Duroc Pork Chop, served with spinach and potato gratin; the Wagyu Beef Burger, served on a challah bun; and my favorite, the Duck Confit, a crispy and tender leg of duck, served over Parmesan polenta and Swiss chard. Overall, every plate we ordered was beautifully composed and delicious in its own way! The prices were certainly high, but the quality and execution of the food were worth it, and the service was super friendly too.

We sat in the nice room for my friends bday. We were a group of 13 and our total was about $500 for brunch items, mímosas. They gave a bread pudding for the bday girl on the house. I felt like the prices are a bit high but that's a personal opinion. I got the frittata which tasted alright and it was $24. Service was decent but nothing too good or too bad that stood out from it either. If they have a happy hour, I'll come back again because the ambiance is very nice. I was told that my dish comes with a free side salad but i was later charged for a sad looking garden lettuce salad for $8. I still don't know what happened there. Maybe a miscommunication.
