Customer service is good! They are very friendly here! I'm Filipino, the flavors of the food here are perfect and so comforting! Very close to our families food. It isn't your fine dining ambiance it's more outdoorsy and if you go in for dine in it's more like your eating at your family's house. Lol there's tv and they just allow you to sit enjoy your food grab whatever drink and then pay afterwards. They have the tv on inside and ac. The bowls they use are like the ones you would probably have at your moms house or grandparents house. It's very home-like.

Baka skin. Almost gone. Too ono.

I love this place. I've never been to the Philippines but I feel like I'm there when I'm here. The workers are super friendly ! They have all the delicacies thar my heart desires. My mom loves the ipon. She says their ipon is authentic. I don't drink alcohol but there are a lot of good pupus here for those occasions - kilawen kaldeng & baka. The worker ( young man ) said that the kilawen baka also has liver in it. He was so nice because he let us sample a piece of the baka skin. Yum ! This was my first time here & I am definitely coming back. It's great that I'll be im this area at least 3 times a month. So glad my mom discovered this place through a friend. They do not accept credit / debit payment. They only accept cash. Lots of free parking probably because it's a weekday.

Service is amazing, workers are so welcoming and nice. Always talking story with them haha. Food is delicious as well. Indoor and outdoor seating.

This is not your typical bulalo, I'm not actually quite sure if this is bulalo. If your craving Tagaytay bulalo this is not the place to get it. All bones, cartilage and hoof. No meat, no veggies, no bone marrow beef shank. After removing all the bones and cartilage from the container very minimal soup was included. For $12 including rice, it's not worth it.

Stopped by to pick up some longanisa to bring back home but also tried a few of their dishes. The Bulalo was flavorful and full of tender pieces of meat. The pork skewers we also very tasty! Ricky was super friendly. Would come again.

When I heard that there's a new Bulalo place in Waipahu I'm so excited to try it I love bulalo! it reminds me of my trip in Tagaytay back in the Philippines . I'm so disappointed and think this is the worst bulalo I've ever had. it's not what I'm expecting at all.

They do have a karaoke machine and byob apparently, good small place to relax and wind down perhaps

Not The Chosen One So heres the weird thing, I had a dream a few days ago that I had returned to this place after coming about a week ago and I gave it 2 stars. Fast forward today, Im in the area and Im thinking about going and giving it a shot again since I had it at 4 stars, but here I am thinking I dreamt I gave it 2 stars which would mean I am not going to like my 2nd visit and maybe not worth going back. But my curiousity sets in and I feel the need to confirm this premonition thru dream I have, so I decide to go, as I feel its "my destiny" Another trip to the darkside, (its literally dark there at night, miminal lighting in the vicinity) a quick stop here to see if they had the hamburger steak or pork belly skewers, 2 of the most raved about items so far but both were sadly not available. Didnt bother asking about the all day breakfast, which would been my 3rd choice, but not even a menu for the bbq sticks, I didnt bother. Same lady like last time, she looks at me no hi, no hello, no how may i help you, instead of making it more awkward i went ahead and greeted her instead. I felt bad for going there and not ordering anything, but they didnt have what I wanted, so I just got 2 bbq pork sticks again, this time they were in that large plastic container and questionable on how long they were sitting there, nevertheless, I paid, got my sticks and left. Opened the foil, tried the pork, and immediately noticed it was cold. Well what was I expecting for something that was in a plastic container and not even in a warmer. $5.00 for two cold pork sticks. Good flavor, just not worth coming back for imo. If you know its cold why not sell it cheaper? Im sorry Da Bolalohan, I tried. I tried to like you but this is where we must part ways. I feel like saying "YOU were supposed to be the Chosen One!" I really hope they can improve though. Happy Holidays and may the skewer be with you.

This place is nostalgic for me. Walking up to the truck and if I close my eyes, the smell reminds me trips to the Philippines. I have absolutely loved everything I've ordered from here. I've only had 3 items. Its the bbq pork stick that keeps me coming back. The chicken insal is my 2nd favorite dish. The halohalo was as authentic as I remember. Delicious!

Catering: Salad, fried rice, beef brisket, pork belly!
    Leland S.

**This review reflects their catering service and not their food truck** I was fortunate to stumble upon this place at Turtle Bay's Fireworks Show and my oh my was it delightful! Food: Beef Brisket (Highly Recommend) My goodness....Well moist and seasoned. The smoky, garlic, dry rub flavors made it very umami. Slices were fair as it had a juicy texture and balance of meat and fat. Pork Belly (Highly Recommend) My goodness part 2. Really good filipino comfort food. The pork belly was juicy and full of flavor. A low-key balance of some sweet and savory flavors to it. Customer Service: Wonderful! Brisket guy was very convincing and my order was received at a reasonable time. Overall: 5 Stars. Can't complain about this place. My food was deeeelicious, price was reasonable, plenty of choices, and great service. I am intrigued to see what they serve at their food truck. For people visiting the island or any locals in need of some comfort food, I recommend giving this place a go. TL;DR Tips Catering Menu is different from their food truck menu. Definitely get the beef brisket and pork belly.

    Their $11 Bulalo

Bought the Bulalo and Empanada. The Empanda was big worth the $5 but the Bulalo was pretty disappointing.I expected some meat inside but all i got was some bland soup with beef feet for $11

    David D.

I got 4 bbq pork belly sticks with two scoops of rice and an iced cold Coke. It was cooked fresh off the grill and really "broke da mouth!" There were so many other selections like bbq chicken sticks, bbq chicken feet and a variety of Filipino dishes that I need to come back for. They had a table and chairs to eat on and it was pretty busy. This one customer told me he eats here every night! If I lived nearby I probably would too. Jaysen was really nice and cooked my sticks to perfection. He told me I could have it crispy so I'll try that next time. Until then, I'll be thinking about what to eat next time. Loco Moco maybe?!

    Dinakdakan!
    Steve R.

The dinakdakan and Hibol are legitimately good here! Give them a try, you won't be dissapointed.

We can deal with it being kinda in the ghetto of Waipahu but it was the very unhappy (clearly annoyed) counterperson who was taking our order - who SNAPPED AT MY MOM because she was confused with what comes with their plate lunch AND then the cook (assumedly - a different person than who took our order) annoyingly brought our items out to the table. She ordered the chop steak - I thought tasted ok, but it was seasoned heavier than my mom would like. Portion was right for the price. I got their signature Loco Moco burrito - SAD. It was $20, majority rice and mac salad, no meat. I needed a knife to cut the burrito in half, there was no counterperson or anyone available to ask for a knife, so I kind of looked around their register area and found a random one on the side, cut the burrito in half, DEFINITELY NOT how they showed it on TV, if the counterperson came back, I probably would have asked for them to swap it out. We were sitting for about 25 mins - nobody came back to the counter? If it wasn't for the counterpersons unfriendly attitude I was planning to buy their signature dessert to go, but I was turned off by the whole experience AND he didn't come back out anyways until literally I was throwing our containers away. He didn't greet us. Thank us. Ask how everything was. Or say anything when we were leaving. We saw the owners on TV and are happy and glad to support a local business BUT NOT when your employees are rude and unfriendly. $45 - 1 mini plate + 1 signature item and 2 cans of soda, I would SKIP this place

From the moment we walked in, we were immediately greeted and sat down. It was quiet and very peaceful, which I am a HUGE fan of. I hate being in loud overcrowded places so this was already very appealing to us. After reviewing their menu, we were impressed by the choices and the prices. I ordered the loco moco and my boyfriend ordered the Famous fried rice omelette, along with a side of banana pancakes. The food came out within 10 minutes maybe less and the portions were massive! I'm quite picky when it comes to loco mocos because most places don't make them well enough. Usually the friend rice is plain, the patty is overcooked and the gravy is flavorless. HOWEVER, the fried rice was incredible to start, the patty literally melted in my mouth and the gravy was flavored very well and had the perfect amount of salt. If I'm being honest, that was the best loco moco I've eaten at a restaurant ever! My boyfriend's omelette was super good, he had the same fried rice I did and the egg was cooked perfectly. Pancakes were an absolute chefs kiss. I'm a huge sucker for Dennys pancakes over ihop and these pancakes blew Dennys out the door. On top of the food being perfect, the customer service was so good. They never missed a refill, they gave us their house made kimchee to try and WOW! (They sell it in 12oz tubs too) The workers were so so so kind and to top it off they gave us cookies to take home! Not to mention, we only spent $55 for everything we ordered! Great pricing if you ask me. I have not had such a great experience anywhere in a while so this just made my day! I pray blessings on blessings to the people who work here and own the restaurant! I can't wait to come back and try their lunch menu!

I used to go here all the time to get my filipino food fix. Unfortunately they closed the Kalihi…read morerestaurant and now have to make the drive out to Waipahu. If you have never been here I highly recommend you trying their filipino food. Portion size is good and worth the money but the main reason you're buying their food is cause it's winnahs. I did take out a few of their menu items. Their special for July is lechon Kawali, pancit, pork gisantes and pork adobo fried rice. It's good to get this or mixed plate with 3 choices. It allows to try more of their menu selections. While one is good 3 or 4 is much better especially if coming here for the very first time. You won't be disappointed. I called in to place my order and it would be twenty minutes which is fine cause that's how long it took me to get there. The food was hot and ready to go. I made sure my ac was off so I can enjoy a nice hot lunch. The place was crowded even at 1pm. People know good food when they eat it. Lots of parking. The lechon Kawali was good. It's nice and meaty with some nice soft fat pieces. Oh so good. Yeah if you are worried about cholesterol then this might not be for you. If not you gonna enjoy it. The pancit is good. The pork gisantes which is more commonly known as pork and peas is really good. It's like stew and you wanna mix your rice with it. If you like eggs over easy then you should have that over your gisantes. It's sooooooo good. Kinda like Loco moco except it's stew. When that yolk breaks and blends in with the gisantes hoo boy. Just really good stuff there. Then the main attraction is their pork adobo fried rice omelet. I believe they were the original restaurant that brought it out. I might be wrong but they make it just right. Every bite is so good especially when you bite into one that has fat in it. Yummy. Yeah not a good choice if you're staying away from cholesterol but if not you're gonna enjoy it. The pork adobo fried rice is not dry like some other places I've tried. Ok I admit i love filipino food. I had to get dinuguan. Chocolate meat. Another winner with rice and really good with over eggs on top of it. Nice tender succulent pieces of pork. Oh my God, it's so good. I also got Shanghai lumpia. This is da bomb. You gotta eat this one hot and fresh. If not it gets stale and soggy so I ate this first. You dip it into vinegar. I like a little heat so I add Tabasco to it. Great with beer. It's so good. I'm missing it already. Then the final dish i got was their sari sari. It's soup with mixed veggies, baby shrimp and lechon. The soup is delicious and comforting. It's great on a cold night or maybe when you're feeling sick. Better than your chicken noodle soup for sure. It's also great remedy for that hangover you got last night. Lol All in all you just gotta try it. Let me know what you got and how good it tasted. Enjoy and thank me later.
