Been here I believe four times now. It's a hit every time!!…read more First time I went was on an invitation, as I wasn't expecting much from a brewery. I'm not too crazy about beer, and what I'd seen from the menu seemed like mostly burgers which I also find boring. Was very happy and surprised on my first visit to find they have creative and delicious cocktails, which are more up my alley when it comes to drinks. Also this first time, I got the truffle pizza, which was *phenomenal*!! Since then, have been back 3 more times, once for a drink and to try the cucumber salad, which also sounded incredible, to also compare to a similar one I make at home. Loved it!!! Then the next two times, went with my best friend. Both times he got a different burger, while I spent most of my split tab enjoying a couple drinks. When we're not trying to spend too much, this place has generous sides of fries which are also *incredible* and cheap, so you can fill up on those while enjoying the specialty drinks So I'd say it's really nice for all sorts of tastes, and has a budget friendly food workaround too if you're more there for drinks first, as I outlined above. Highly recommend, and can't wait to be back again soon!!!!

Cocktail and beer selections are great. Five stars to the blood orange margarita. The bad: You can't make a reservation and the waitlist is frustrating sometimes. Parking is challenging. Also, atmosphere is typically loud making it hard to have a conversation. Overall, we like it for a quick bite and will definitely go back.

In 2004, the Strand Center for the Arts (formerly the North Country Cultural Center for the Arts) purchased the Theatre and has since undertaken initiatives to restore the Theatre to its former glory." It's one of the BEST places to spend your weekends, watching theatre plays and even a safe space to learn and create masterpieces! This venue is home for the arts of Plattsburgh- we have seen Rocky Horror Picture show during Halloweekend, Cabaret play last week, Journey and Tusk, and Pink Floyd bands play, and Todd Berry, the comedian also performed here this year alone. There are also great refreshments, snacks, beer, wine at the concession stand in between shows. If you also enjoy working with your hands you can take classes for 3D resin earring making, wood carving, sculpting, painting classes. One of my best friends in town, Winosha teaches students young and old how to paint. Many of the actors also teach classes and have graduated from SUNY Plattsburgh. You will also see many of the actors at the YMCA, like Justin the CEO also playing the lead in Rocky Horror Picture Show. This is a beautiful community theatre that accepts everyone and we hope more people get involved for many years to come!

Got a call from a staff member as we were driving to the hotel who wanted to make sure we understood the check in process and who told us about some good restaurants in town. If you are banished to the closet-size rear rooms, you might want to re-think your accommodation choice. Yes, the back tiny rooms might be a step up from wilderness camping, but still. I thought I was getting a nice modest room in a lovely inn for an overnight before attending an early a.m. meeting the next day also in Peru. What I did not bank on was a closet-size room that was overheated, barely enough room to walk around the bed, and struggling for over half an hour to get the wifi connected since there was no writing table or chair to do something other than lie in bed, so I thought at least I could watch a new episode of Goliath. No luck with the internet. There's a text number you can call (text) for help, who told me that the rooms in the back don't really have internet connectivity -- despite representations online and in fact even in the room. Joke's on me! Eventually the unnamed texter allowed me to move to a front of the Lake room for the internet. Much of the experience had me mentally comparing it to wilderness camping, as in: well there's running water, which is better than . . . camping outdoors. And it was clean and didn't have me wondering about the person who stayed before. So there's that. But someone in management should sleep in the rooms and see all that is lacking to be comfortable for overnight guests. Here's what they might think about providing in the room for the comfort of future guests: A trash can. A water glass. A shelf in the bathroom for toiletries and the like. Bedside tables with outlets. A box of tissues in the bathroom. Oh and the drains for the sink and shower were SLOW. The shower that is the smallest I have ever experienced is a challenge. There is no way to get out of the way as the water temperature fluctuates greatly from scorching hot to cold. And just try to turn on the water in the shower without it spraying over the bathroom floor! Quite a challenge in the a.m! One hand towel, that's all you get. Fortunately lots of large towels, which are handy to mop up shower water sprayed out to the floor. Oddly the "kitchen" is in the hallway right outside one or two of the rooms (including mine, unfortunately) because if people decide to set up camp over the coffeemaker, you're gonna wake up then because the walls are thin. Same for your next door neighbor's bathroom, which is really your closet. This despite the texter's insistence that the reason the wifi does not work in the back is because of the age of the building and the super-thick walls. Hah! Not in the hallways. But . . . the magnificent view of Lake Champlain in the morning! Almost makes up for the near-camping, rustic, non-luxurious accommodations. But that view does not come cheap. That is if you reserve and pay for the high priced rooms rather than go through the agony of trying to hook up wifi in vain and then complaining and the anonymous person lets you change rooms, which is a route I do not recommend. The downstairs/lobby level is oddly sparsely furnished. They could set the coffee up there since there's a lot of unused space. But I imagine that's the conference center part. Good luck!
