I have no prior experience with Ford. Yesterday I was brought to this dealership by my boss from the company I work for. He was surprising me and my fellow coworkers with brand new company cars, Ford Fusions to be exact. I leave the dealership with my brand new corporate car, we all head to lunch, and after driving my car for a few MINUTES, I come to a stop light and the transmission fluid blew out. The car won't budge. Now I know that accidents/mistakes happen. Heck I wasn't even upset about the issue that much. Maybe someone didn't put a the transmission cap back on properly. I don't know. Any way I get the car towed back to the dealership, explained what happens at the front desk, and they looked at me like I was crazy, and told me to walk around the block to another department. And then after that, no one was available to look at my car, that I need for work, and I just saw people just sitting around on their computers in the service dept with a 3-5 day wait time. Called and asked if they had a RS, they did. Asking if I can test drive it, they said yes. Showed up and after 45 minutes they told me no one can test drive it but they will call me back tomorrow to work something out but never called me back. I called David McDavid (only other dealer with a RS at the time) and they let me test drive the one they had no questions asked. 3 months later North Central cold called me trying to get me to come look but not drive a RS. read more

My experience with them was brief. Dropped vehicle off to have an additional key cut. Apparently to have an additional key cut/fob requires you to give up your vehicle most of the day. Parked at the service department. All service writers were on the phone, doing paper work, something that appeared to me as occupied. Standing in front of them, not one would lift their head and motion to me a "hey, I see you, I'll get with you as soon as Im done". No sense of urgency. In my opinion customer service needs improvement. Service manager was fine once I got his attention. read more

I had a repair need while on vacation, and North Central Ford did a bad job at an inflated price. My car was returned to me with grease and grime all over the interior. Worse than that, features that were working fine when I brought my car to them, now are inoperable. The dash was not reassembled properly and has fallen apart under the steering column. I could have hired a monkey to watch a YouTube instructional video and gotten better results. I've initiated contact with the manager of their service department - more than once - and the only response was an offer to use their affiliated dealership in South Texas, which is on the other side of metropolitan Houston, a county away, and a three hour round trip for me in traffic. The manager was supposed to line me up with a contact so I would have a way to verify the visit and their payment commitment. That was well over a week ago and I have not heard back from him. At this point, I want authorization to have their screw ups taken care of, on their dime, at my NEAREST Ford dealership. read more

I'm disappointed with North Central Ford's Service department. I took my F150 in for 2 New Tires, But after I had them put on I had a Tire Censor malfunction light come on shortly after leaving their service department? They also put the weights on the outside of my new tires when I wanted them on the inside? Anyway I called the Service Rep who was my point of contact about the censor light on my dash, he said to bring it in so they could look at it... it was at the end of the day maybe not the right time to try and get this corrected? But About 5 minutes later they said they looked at it my rep tells me a left rear censor went out and it would be at least another $200.00 to replace it? I think that's ridiculous because there was nothing wrong with my censors when I brought the truck into them? I believe something wasn't done right on my truck and I'm disappointed that the service department isn't willing to fix it? In my opinion it's something the tech did wrong and now they want me to pay to fix it even though I didn't have the problem when I brought my truck in? If they can diagnose a problem within minutes why didn't they diagnose that issue while the truck was in the shop "they were working in that area of the vehicle?" They were quick to tell me I needed new lug nuts (Which I had them replace another $130.00), but they couldn't identify that problem? "Come On!" As a regular customer to north centrals service department I felt they just brushed me off? I take customer service seriously, and I can tell when I'm being blown off? I felt very unvalued as a customer leaving there that afternoon? Maybe I should start taking my business to 5 Star Ford on the Tool Way? On May 4, after discussion via email for three days with Joe Mansour, internet manager/auto exchange for North Central Ford in Richardson TX, I traveled to Richardson from my home 151 miles away for a scheduled 4:30 test drive on a Ford Escape SEL advertised online for 19,532. This price include listed discounts totaling 7,494. off MSRP. I had to leave work early that day (and lost two hours pay) to get there by 4:30 and I secured a hotel room due to having been up since 3:30 am for work that day and knowing the day would not end early enough to drive back home safely. A family member came with me, but she had been at work all day also. Upon arrival at 4:30 Joe did not offer to show me the vehicle instead he ushered me into his office and showed me a enlarged page on his computer screen advertising the exact vehicle that we had been discussing and he said, "The vehicle you are interested in is really 5,000 dollars more than we have been discussing". He commented that he had tried to get ahold of us but his email only arrived 30 minutes before our arrival in Richardson and the email simply read, "Please call me." He was aware of the time I had left my town because he asked me to let him know when I was on my way. When the family member expressed shock at this "revelation" he said, "We are not responsible for the information given on the website, see this disclaimer down here at the bottom of the page?" The family member asked if that was fraudulent advertising. He kept insisting that the disclaimer covers this type of situation. The family member asked if this was not simple dishonesty and that she was repulsed by this type of business. Joe told me that someone just hit the wrong button and the price was incorrectly listed in that manner. At some point, Joe said "I will do you a favor and add only 300. to the price we have discussed." Now the family member said, "You will do us a favor by 'raising the price' that has been discussed since May 2nd? The family member was more shocked and disgusted and left the room. The family member came back to the room in a few minutes and Joe had finally agreed to a price that I negotiated which was the original price that I offered to start with. The family member asked me if I really wanted to work with a dishonest person, who obviously represents his company so badly. I decided to leave the dealership, really disappointed that the dishonesty was so blatant and so overt. Joe's final question to me as I left his office was, "Is she going to report me on Yelp? Then he added,"...some people have treated me or talked to me worse than her." After the night at the hotel that we had to pay for I noticed by 10:00 am on Saturday morning, the dealership had changed the price on the vehicle I had gone to look at and suddenly, it was 5,000 more. I would have listed this review as a "zero star" but I did not have that option. read more

After repeated attempts to make an appointment and have my transmission looked at I finally was assured that if I brought my vehicle in the evening before they would look at it first thing in the am. Would normally think this was just due to uninformed phone rep, but she received the message that "they only work on cars purchased here" from the Service Manager. Worked out well since appears their charges are about 30% higher than most Ford dealerships and 50%+ higher than the local (and very professional) mechanic I took car to. read more

I've been a fan of North Central for about 10 years. I've leased 4 cars from them and have used them for service. But, this time I was extremely dissatisfied. When I called for an appointment, he acted like he just didn't have time to get me in for a simple service appointment. Then, when I got there, he said it would be 1 1/2 to 2 hours for the oil change and an extra 1/2 hour for a wash. I declined the wash. I will not be going back for future oil changes!!!! read more

I had a great experience at North Central Ford. The sales manager Kevin Mays and my salesman Todd Mayes were the greatest that I've ever dealt with. Originally I was looking for a certified used vehicle. After weighing out all my options I decided to go with a new 2017 F1 50. The process was painless , easy and fast. The financing department was great! They beat my rate from my own personal bank by 1%. I was introduced to the service department that scheduled my very first oil change for free! They were very friendly and professional. The dealership is in a great location and easily accessible. It is an extremely impressive and clean facility.The evening that I purchased the vehicle, was my son's birthday. I was in and out within an hour and a half. Both Kevin and Todd have both called and checked on me since the purchase making sure that everything was fine and to my liking. On Friday I set an appointment for a Mazda Miata that I bough in December. They sent me 2 coupons reminding me that my Mazda need the 50k service. I called and also told them that my engine light turn it on, so they set the appointment. Few hours later they sent me an email confirming me the appointment for Monday noon, but when I get there they told me that they don't have the filter and I had to check the engine light in any Mazda dealer!! Why did they accept the appointment? Why they didn't search for a filter? Why they sent me 2 COUPONS! Reminding me my Mazda needed the 50k service??!! Service Department experience: I wasn't going to give a review of my experiences but since they keep bugging me for it, here goes. I've been to this service department on three or four different occasions, solely because it's close to my work. They are *always* "backed up" and/or cannot accommodate service requests timely for one reason or another. They either do not have the part needed to do the job (airbags for Shelby recall; brake booster on '12 Edge) or they can't get at oil change completed in 3 hours. Granted, the oil change was a Saturday morning at 9:00am. Their service prices are also not in line with other dealers. The service Manager told me he would match Rockwall Ford's $29.99 "The Works" package, then they failed to do so after waiting over three hours on an oil change. I will not go back to this dealer for service. read more

Don't give your business to North Central Ford (NCF) if integrity and honesty are important to you. When I bought my 2004 SportTrac from NCF, it came with lifetime, $9.95 oil and filter changes. I enjoyed this benefit for many years. It was clear a few years ago they were trying to back out of their agreement when they said a condition of this promotional price was that I have all my scheduled maintenance performed by them. That wasn't the agreement, but since NCF was the only shop to perform ALL my maintenance, scheduled and otherwise, I didn't balk. Then they said ALL service performed on my car had to be by them. Tires, Brakes, etc...not Just scheduled maintenance. It was clear they were trying to cancel the $9.95 deal. Recently, when I called to schedule an oil change, RC informed me they are no longer honoring the agreement. They unilaterally backed out of a long-standing price commitment. I took my car to another Ford dealership for that oil change. My SportTrac is 17 years old and I'm due for another vehicle. My eyes are on the Ford Ranger. However, I will not be purchasing it from North Central Ford! They have no integrity and do not honor their commitments! read more

They sold me a used car with bad breaks. The salesman promised me and my husband the car was perfect. I never heard any squealing from the brakes. A few months later I go for an oil change at the dealership. I'm there with my 1 year old. I called the day before to make an appointment and now they tell me they don't see any appointment but it's no big deal. I waited for almost 3 hours for this oil change! They knew I had my baby there and didn't bother to tell me it would be that long of a wait. Next time I'll ask. After an hour I went to check on my car and was told that people with appointments get priority. I thought I did have an appointment, remember! I was told they would try to hurry. An hour later I was told it was almost ready. After 2 1/2 hours someone told me it was about to come around. 15 minutes after that my car showed up. When I got home I looked at the paperwork and it stated that my brakes were worn and needed to be replaced. It's a good thing I bothered to read the paperwork. Unprofessional and horrible customer service. I will not be buying another car there. I got my brakes fixed somewhere else too. North Central Ford took total advantage of me. Next time I buy a used car I'll make sure to check the brakes. read more

To my surprise I got a polite phone call from North Central Ford where they apologized for the inconvenience, agreed to fix the vehicle and provided us with a rental vehicle. Satisfied the situation is being taken care of professionally. This is the 4th vehicle I have purchased through them and I will continue to bring my business here. read more

***UPDATE: A few days after my initial and problematic visit, I received a call from the General Manager of North Central Ford. He apologized for the poor service, made no excuses, and assured me that is not their standard of service. I believed his honesty and sincerity and gave them another shot. The second visit was a very different story. The staff was extremely courteous, attentive, and professional. I don't believe you should be treated like a king just because you're buying a car, but with expensive transactions I do have expectations of integrity and professionalism. In that, they exceeded my expectations and were superior to the other Ford, and non-Ford dealerships I've recently visited. Their pricing was extremely competitive and negotiations were straightforward, hassle free, and I feel other costumers were receiving the same level of service. I also went out of my way to speak to the initial salesmen I met. He also apologized for not being able to help me more at that visit. And I can't fault him for that; he did all he could do for me at the time and was very approachable, honest in his knowledge, and tried to get me the right salesperson. Maybe I just fell through the cracks on that day. Either way, they recognized that I had a poor experience and showed integrity in making things right. All of the staff, from sales to financing, were better than other dealerships and they'll be the first dealership I go to in the future. read more

They got it done in a day and it was only $500 which is still a lot but less than I expected. There online service appointment system is a joke and service department. I scheduled to have my Escape serviced due to engine light being on. I called this am to double check the appointment time (3:00pm) and I'm told if I bring it in I will have to leave it so they can look at it. Then why in the world on the website you have the option of scheduling a late day appointment but no one can look at the vehicle till the next day? Plus, they may not be able look at the first day but it may not be to the second day because they are so backed dup. Then hire more trained mechanics! read more

Had a good deal and signed for it. Couldn't put a deposit down because was going out of town for something that came up. When I came back a few days later I found the truck was sold and I had just talked to the manager the day before and he never mentioned that the truck was sold. I found another truck that fit what I was looking for but had to restart the negotiation process all over again and the numbers didn't make sense. Our car buying experience started out phenomenal! We drove from Oklahoma City to North Central Ford because of the amazing deal we had found. The car buying process went flawlessly until after we left the dealership. We have now had the truck 2 1/2 weeks and have received over a dozen phone calls from different staff members trying to collect more money from us. Our bank has explained to them they need to sign over the title and send it to the bank in order to get paid. In Oklahoma you tag the vehicle yourself and maintain the title. The dealership refuses to do this. They have even told us our Bank told them to collect money from us which is not true. We have a great truck that we bought at a great price with a wonderful salesman (Brad) and we have a loan we are paying on a truck that we still don't have the title paperwork on to be able to tag it. I bought a used car here, and had an interesting experience. While I was waiting on my financing approval, the salesman was trying to figure out if I'd be a sugar baby. Yeah, it was extremely creepy. When I started having problems with the car, I called the pre-owned sales manager with my list of complaints, and brought the car back. Well, they fixed the most minor one out of four, and when I got back they had messed something else up that was important (weatherstripping). I'm so dissatisfied that I wish I could undo the deal, even though I like the car, so I could spend my money at a dealership that isn't so shady. I'm still not happy with the car, but I'm even more dissatisfied with this place. Learn from my experiences, and run away. read more

I purchased a Ford Fusion from North Central last year, and the purchase process was great. They had the car I had described picked out, washed, and with a full tank of gas. I took it for the weekend, and the car was awesome!!! Since buying the car, I've used the free oil changes, and it feels like I'm pulling into a Country club when I drop it off in the service drive. The waiting room is brand new with huge TV's and free wifi. I always get offered something to drink while I wait. Overall top notch. read more
