In the past this has been the dealership I would deal with no matter what, However yesterday has changed that yesterday was the single worst experience I have ever had dealing with any business in my life I dropped off my car with an appointment to have an oil change and to get the sync system update it. At the service counter Jim Said it would take three hours to have this done, I figured no problem it takes time so as I asked for them to call me transportation home they did so. Up to this point everything was great as usual in the past Jim has been great never had a problem it's the matter of fact he keeps him he kept me comingBack to this dealership since is not the closest one to my house. However six hours went by I couldn't get a hold of anybody I couldn't get the girl that answers the phone in the service department to get me a Lyft driver to come and pick me up and bring me back to see what was wrong with my car or going on I should say. After playing phone tag for another hour I finally got the receptionist who was very helpful walked across the way in the rain five stars for her unfortunately two for the dealership. Upon arrival she finally got somebody to a get on the phone and their answer was we apologize your car is ready I figured great I will get there and everything will be working however upon my arrival after trying to get the person on the phone to spell my address correctly this only took 15 minutes or so I learned or was told I should say" we plugged your car into our computer your sink system is up-to-date and was never out of date you have to latest software" so we only did the oil change however upon getting into my car again the phone still didn't work with my sink system. Thank you North County Ford Automotive for performing a six hour oil change extremely disappointed when you have my car for six hours it's OK to find a time to pick up a phone tell me the outcome of the sink system and offer to diagnose the problem as the diagnostics what it took no extra time and cost the same as the system update to top it all off you do this to someone right before Christmas so the end result is they offer this diagnostics when I arrive so now they wanted to keep my car for an additional six hours leaving me Without a car over the holiday not cool at all. Needless to say after this sad display of customer service I will never set foot in your dealership again. read more

I would rate zero stars, but couldn't figure out that option. Sales process is smooth. Pray your car doesn't need maintenance or warranty work post purchase. Repair 1, had my car for 30 days, little to no communication, I had to call every 3 days for an update or it might have been 45 days. I was told it would be a week as it was a transmission replacement under warranty. This week the starter went out and I realized their finance department never sent me my premium warranty paperwork. Was told it would be 5 days for them to pull the file but they could email me the information to get me the warranty contract number and company it is with the same day. That was Wednesday, I had to call back today again and get it. They had the wrong warranty number on file and didn't know what company it was with, but gave me 2 possible companies. I had to track it down myself. I've spent 3-4 hours on the phone over 5 days just to initiate a tow. I will say their service manager Paul, who finally took over was able to release me from the obligation of having to use their dealership for service pretty quickly. Paul is new, so there may be some hope for NCF, BUT- based on my 2 cars, $60,000 spent, numerous un-returned voicemails and a few people there is customer facing positions that just shouldn't be dealing with people, I cannot recommend this dealership to anyone. I actually heard employees having a conversation in the background of my call with one of the managers have a casual conversion with about 5 F bombs in it. No class, no service, all about getting deals done and approved. No follow through with ANYTHING after you sign the contracts. read more

I can honestly say this was the best dealership experience I have encountered in a long time! The customer service here is excellent! I explained my situation and they met all my expectations! I got a new vehicle I wanted and low payments! I did not have a reason to walk away! Mick Simovski was excellent! He did not try to up sell me. Let me start by saying I purchased my 2007 Ford F-250 from here brand new. Let me say I will probably never buy another vehicle from here due to service people. They are no help. One time I brought my truck for the front end shimming going down the road. They said it was the steering box went out. Really the truck is practically brand new less than 36,000 miles. i get it back the steering wheel is still not straight as of this day. The gearbox makes noise occasionally. Oh yea they couldn't duplicate that problem. Then my back slider stopped working due to the cable broken. They took the whole back glass out and said that the slider glass was warped. so they re glued it. As of today it has came unglued and its out of warranty now of course. Now my turbo this just went out after they serviced it . Not under warranty either. SAD!!! I just want to cry. Thanks North County Ford read more

This is for the parts department. I was looking for a specific hose for my 2002 ford focus that I could only get from a dealership. I go online to the parts website from their home page and look at prices for the part I think I need. There were a few parts that were similar so I decided to drive to the dealership with the part in hand to get a direct comparison. They give me the part I need and give me the price. The price was significantly higher that what I saw on their own website, so I tell them that I saw it much lower on the website. He then gives me the "internet price". I still feel uneasy, but I need the part so I decide to purchase it. The first thing that I decided to do is go home and go back to North County Ford's part departments website and use the part number to find the real internet price. Apparently the price I was charged was still higher than what was on their website. I don't understand why they aren't consistent with their own website. My advice for the parts department is to only use them to get the specific part number you need and order it online. read more

No call backs from the service dept about the status of my vehicle. And a few weeks ago they had to call me back in to repair their repair. I dont recommend this service dept as multiple issues have come up now. They're friendly.. just need better process and follow through. *update* Lowered from 2 stars to 1 star. - I recently went in to buy a F150 - FX4 ecoboost, After back and forth trying to find the f'n keys to their vehicle wasting 30 minutes doing this.. I was then handed over to someone else. This guy was their "truck guy" Who then proceeded to tell me that the ecoboost was a single turbo not "dual". They charged me a $115 inspection fee to tell me my 2007 Mercury Grand Marque with only $57K miles needed a new $945 heater core. I asked if there was any other reason my heater was not working and they just kept repeating it needed a new heater core. I have trouble believing that the only possible repair would be to replace a heater core which requires removing the entire dash board . . . also unbelievable. read more

Obviously I don't work in the parts department so I don't know everything about the parts I needed. Worker from the parts department was completely rude and talked down to me over the phone. Hands down this has been the best experience I've had leasing a car. I knew exactly what I could pay and afford and was straight forward. And not only did they deliver, they did not play the typical game forever of going back and forth and what can sometimes leave a bad taste in your mouth at dealerships. The experience was not bad, I bought a used car for 22k and was told a free full gas tank was complimentary with the purchase. They took the car to get washed and when it's time for us to take it there's 50 miles left not full. When I point it out the guy said we had a great below the market deal that's why they're NOT GIVING me a full tank. this is the first time I have heard about this!!!I bought a used car in Frank Subaru before and they filled my tank up. read more

This place is horrible! I called in advance to schedule service for my 2010 Edge for an alarm problem. I arrived on time, and waited 15 minutes before anyone acknowledged me. My service manager was Chris, a new guy with a horrible attitude. He told me I'd have to leave the car there, even though I had an appointment. He said the car should be ready by 3:30pm (dropped off at 10am). I called at 4pm and he told me they hadn't started working on it yet, and I would have to leave the car overnight! The next day around noon I got a call that my car was ready. I went to pick it up, and the alarm problem was fixed but now the key remote wouldn't unlock the doors!!! Chris told me it's not their fault nor their responsibility to fix! He blamed it on another Ford dealer. He became extremely rude and short with me, raising his voice quickly and blaming me. I told him the car is worse then it was before and he said I was wrong, even though I could no longer unlock my car (how is that better???) I asked to speak to a manager, so Chris went to get him, but didn't come back with the manager. He said they would take the car back from me, but I'd have to leave it for another 2 days. I said they made the problem worse and told me my car was ready when it wasn't, so they should fix it now. He said absolutely not going to happen. I asked for a loaner and he laughed at me. I again asked to speak to a manager, since he never came the first time, but apparently the manager "left for a meeting offsite" and I would have to wait for an hour. At this point I was fuming. I stood in Chris' office until he called the manager, who didn't answer. To prove he called, Chris showed me his phone, which had a naked woman as the wallpaper! I told him I didn't appreciate him showing me porn, and he got mad at me and said that's his wife, which certainly didn't make it any more appropriate! Finally the manager called back and said they would work on the car. They still would not give me a loaner, but they allowed the courtesy shuttle to take me home and pick me up later that day. Absolutely the worst customer service I've ever had! Chris is a joke. He's new, and should never have been hired. Do yourself a favor and don't go anywhere near this dealership!!! read more

Well, I call and speak to a guy named Jack in Financing/Sales. Well his name says it all....The whole time he was extremely rude interrupting me. I just bought my first car from North County Ford and I couldn't be more excited and happy! My mom and I decided to go randomly just to look at different cars that would interest me. Miguel greeted us right away and was super helpful! Miguel was very nice and really respected the max I wanted to spend on my first car. He ran back and forth trying to find the best deal he could to sell this car to me. The sales experience was okay a lot of the typical oh let me go run that by my boss back and forth for 3 hours until I got the decent price and they offered me half of what my trade in was worth , but when I talk to the finance guy he kept trying to up sell me with thousands dollars worth of maintenance plans excetra to the point I almost had to scream no no no, he just wouldn't listen to me when I said I didn't want those things ! I almost walked out and cancelled the whole deal. But what's worse is I bought my car 3 days ago and still today I'm being battered with constant text messages emails and phone calls from them, still trying to sell me a car. Ok so its been a couple weeks and I am still upset with my experience so here goes my review. On Sept 22 I order a set of 4 General Grabber tires for my truck size 35x12.5 R17 that FORD ADVERTISES for $1500. The employee in parts notified me when I asked that it would "probably" take about 30 minutes to install the tires and I can make an appt for the 23rd. First off I am no idiot and have bought oversized offroad tires before and already know there is no way it will be done in 30 minutes so I make the appt for the 23rd at 8am and assume it will take 45 minutes to 1 hr TOPS. I arrive at 8am sharp on the dot and turn my car into Cynthia the service advisor and she seems hesitant to assure me my vehicle will be done in 45 minutes but will not give me an estimate because she says the tires are big and the mechanics want to do it right. So 45 minutes pass and Cynthia approaches me in the waiting area and tells me "Sorry it is taking longer than expected, the guy working on it says he is having a problem with the machine." Yes that is verbatim what was said. I ask what specifically is the issue and with a lost look on her face she shrugs her shoulders and tells me she doesnt know exactly but thats what the mechanic said. 0930 rolls around and im still waiting, Cynthia approaches again and tells me, and I quote "They were unable to get your original tires off the rim so they took your truck to Discount tire down the street and it should be done in 30 minutes." HOLD THE PHONE! So not only did it take 1.5 hrs to figure out Ford was unable to install TIRES, but now you are telling me you drove my vehicle to another place of business to have the work done that I specifically brought my vehicle in for YOU to accomplish, and all without my permission. Wow Ford, wow. Wait it gets better.......so after AN HOUR of my truck being at Discount Cynthia yet again approaches and says now Discount tires is having problems installing the new tires. Im furious at this point seeing as 2.5 hrs has elapsed to install 4 tires. I ask her to ask the mechanic who I assumed was over there watching my vehicle and she tells me "Oh he didnt stay there he just dropped it off, I'll have him go back there right now to keep the pressure on those guys to get it done." Wow, so you take my car without my permission then leave it somewhere else. Good job North County. All in all my truck came back at 11:30am after 3.5 hrs of waiting for some new tires to be installed and my boss hounding me to get to work which added to the frustration. I never really got a straight answer why Ford couldnt perform the work themselves but Im somewhat mechanically inclined and it would be safe to assume the machine they use to remove tires isnt made to handle my size, that would have been easily handled if I would have been told the day before. So note to anyone buying 35" tires from Ford, have it done at 4Wheel Parts off the 78 freeway, they handle oversized tires every day and it takes them 45 minutes for mount and balance. Side note to Ford, do not sneak customers vehicles to other establishments without first gaining the permission of the owner, its rude, unprofessional, and just flat out wrong. Also I understand you deal with ignorant and annoying customers all day and get tired of explaining problems to people who think everything you say is a lie, but that is your JOB, if you dont like it then quit. Saying "I dont know" to a customer is a huge lack of customer service especially when you do mot even attempt to find out more after the fact. Big mistake on my part for having you do the service, will not be back here. read more

Took my Ford F-250 in because the ring and pinion went out in my rear differential. Had it fixed no problem. While still in service I was informed that my high pressure oil pump was leaking. Fixed that too easy. My truck was in the shop for 13 days total. I've lived all across the country and had vehicles serviced at multiple Ford Service Centers, and when I say I have never had a more questionable and unprofessional handling of my vehicle(s) and parts as I did during the extent of this servicing. I could only get off early enough from work to pick up my truck close to closing time of the Service Center, unaware of the unprofessional handling and quality of the service until I got home. I have a S&B after market cold air intake installed. I installed it myself with the close instruction of a S&B professional supervising and instructing me, while following an instructional video on YouTube. When I picked the truck up the air intake, installed 3 days before, was absolutely mangled. It was jammed and thrashed into the containment box. The intake routing tube was shoved so far into the box that the filter could not be pulled out to be cleaned if need be. Additionally, it was forcing the filter against the other side of the box against the wall. The securing bolt for the entire intake was missing and the box could be easily pulled free and moved. I went back to the dealership the following morning and the associates were awesome but the manager seemed as if he didn't really care. I have photos that are date and time stamped but his excuses was "If I could have seen it as it was when you picked it up." Why would I drive around with an improperly mounted air intake after discovering it as such. He then stated "There will be a talk given to the technician (who was off for the last two days conveniently) and we can order a new filter that's all. There's no refunds that can be given." I spent thousands of dollars to have my vehicle serviced by professionals and the result was anything but. I continued to ask the manager what then makes me trust you as a professional and even an honest man? Work was done but not quality or professional care was given. So how does unprofessional work constitute the "professional" sum of money I payed for them to damage my brand new $300 cold air intake? The manager was not hearing my point of professionalism and as to why it is okay for me to pay large sums of money only to receive the quality of work expected by someone advertising auto services with no credibility. Severely disappointed that as a long time Ford customer the focal points of good quality service couldn't be met (by the technician) and understood (by the manger) and a reimbursement couldn't be given to reflect the quality of work actually done. I'll be informing everyone I can to be weary of the care you expect to receive from anyone not at the front counter of the service department. It's all pretty questionable. read more

I called in early Friday afternoon to North County Ford because we were seriously in the market for a vehicle. I spoke to the Finance Dept first to check on financing. After to speaking to the finance manager, she said she was going to transfer me to the sales dept. The phone was answered by Dillon, who continued to talk to someone there in person while I was speaking to him. There was no "can you please hold a moment," just continued talking while I was speaking. He then cut me off and asked for my number and said he would call me back in 10 minutes. By hour 2, I was going to call into a manager and ask for another sales person, since I hadn't heard a word back. Imagine my surprise when I looked on their website and found that Dillon is the sales manager! By hour 3, I finallly received a call from another employee to collect some information (at lease he was polite). He said he was going to give that information to his manager (Dillon), and he would call me back. That was around 4pm. When I STILL hadn't heard anything around 7pm, I emailed Dillon to follow up and see if he got all my info and if he needed anything from me. It's now Sunday evening, and I STILL have not received any kind of communication. There was a car I really wanted there too. We ended up going to Encinitas Ford yesterday and got the exact same vehicle I had wanted with excellent customer service; I will definitely repeat there. I'll never try North County Ford again. I have already shared my experience with all my family and friends, including a family member who got her car there so she won't go back. I wish I had read Yelp first. I see a review from a few months ago also specifically mentions bad customer service from this same manager. read more

Patrick McAllister (fleet manager) at North County Ford not only provided the best price, but also provided the incredible service throughout my decision & buying process. Some of the other dealers took several days just to respond to an email. Patrick was always did his best to get me the best pricing, financing rate and value on my trade. He's a total pro; direct, honest and just a genuinely nice guy to work with. I finalized most of my prep work over the phone, and by the time I got to North County Ford, I was able to complete test drive, trade-in, financing and MyFord Touch training in just over an hour on a busy Saturday morning. North County Ford runs an incredibly professional operation. Impeccably clean showroom floor, smiling, helpful staff, on top of the best prices in all of Southern California (based on my experience). I live in Los Angeles, butI would make the 100 mile drive down to see Patrick & North County Ford again the next time we are in the market for a car again without hesitation. read more

I bought a used car for my teen daughter and within months discovered that it hadn't received even a cursory service before being put out for sale. The spark plugs were trashed, coil was bad, mirror positioning didn't work, brake pads were cheap and cruddy, and the oil burn is excessive and the engine probably needs to be replaced/rebuilt, which is not worth it based on the car value. If I'm lucky and the engine is not completely bad (doing a time study now), it may almost last the length of the loan. If it is bad, the car is a junker. I thought there'd be some reliability to a car bought from a legitimate dealership, but I would have been better off at a cash lot. read more

I bought a new car from this place was having problems with it from the start. Started smoking from the engine took it back to them. They told me that it was the spray they put on the engine from shipping that it will burn off. Then brought it in cause you can be driving it and press the gas pedal but it wouldn't go. After turning my car in 3 times then they tell me it is a defective part. Then took my car in for an oil change out it back oil is leaking. Took it back 2 times to leak the leak that they done. Then can started smoking again took it to them and told them that smoke is coming from my car. I asked them to take a look at my transmission oil that I think it needs to be flushed. They took at look at my car and told me everything was ok. I didn't believe that so took it to another place to get checked cause my car was still smoking. It was my transmission oil that need to be changed. Then took my car in for a transmission leak. They told me how much it was cost I paid it. Then had to bring my car back still leaking in the same place. Then they tell me how much it will cost to fix which was the same price I paid it again not even a month apart. Then had to bring it back leaking in the same spot then they tell me it is going to cost 2600. I refused to pay it cause I already paid then over 1500. on the same leak. (I know I was dumb paying them 2 time already for the same leak) I told them to put my car back together I'm not paying you guys anymore for the same leak. I took my car else where and gave them the paper's the Ford gave me and they did a diagnostic on my car. They told me it wasn't none of those things that North County Ford was saying. That it was a different part not the transmission they fixed my car an no more leaks. My car has been a Ford more then it has been in my driveway Starting from a new car I bought from them. I should have got all my money back but now it's to late. So If you are Disabled Elderly or even a Woman GET A SECOND OPPINON BEFORE PAYING THEM FOR ANYTHING. read more

Disorganized. They need to come up with better ways for people to get service on their cars there. Was the radiator replaced and/or fixed? Nope. Just paid money for a car wash and brand new dings on the car. You're only a walking wallet to them. Last time I was there (3-4 weeks ago), I saw some old man get punched by a fat middle aged guy. I came in for a simple oil change and by the time they are done with with me telling me I needed a 15,000 check up, my bill is $200. I will not be returning and will seek out other alternatives. Really aggravated with North County Ford. I am not sure how stupid they believe people are but be very careful of dealing with them. They found a broken wire to the high speed cooling fan in my step daughter's car and wanted around $300.00 to fix it. It only takes a little common sense to know how to replace all the wires on this part but the refused any common sense solution "Because we are Ford". Now I know why I always fixed my own Ford Products. Unbelievable. They love to inflate that labor. It is a hazard in the vehicle repair community but I was shocked to see it coming out of this place. Buyer beware, tried to purchased vehicle would not sell at Edmunds Price Promise price because they said "they were loosing money on car." Constant up-selling adding things I did not ask for like extended warranty, gap insurance, low-jack- without telling me. Purchased our 2014 Ford Explorer May 2017. Haven't even owned the car a year yet and we've had to take it in roughly 6 times now for an oil leak issue that has yet to be resolved. We keep getting the car back with a diagnosis of it being "residual oil". Residual oil from what? You did nothing to fix the vehicle. We're back in the shop AGAIN today for the same issue... Buyer Beware - these guys sold me a Lemon and are doing absolutely nothing to fix the problem. Its band-aid after band-aid trying to cover up the real issue. Countless hours of work missed, my wife and child being without a car for a couple days at a time. I highly recommend choosing a different dealership. Stay clear of this one!!! read more

UPDATE: It appears that there's been a few management changes over there. I talked to a few employees, then talked with Joni. The General Manager is new, the Service Manager is new, some of the Supervisors have risen from the ranks of the mechanics, and the dishonest service writer seems to have disappeared. I'm not saying all the issues have been resolved but their service department might be worth a second look. I'm willing to give them an oil change to see how it all works, but I'm still leery about the big ticket stuff until they gain my trust. ============ Took my truck into this stealership for service. They kept it for 5 days, telling me they needed to keep because they were ordering a bunch of parts for it. As a result, I had to rent a car. When I picked it up, they had replaced one of the radiator hoses. When I asked the service advisor what happened to the radiator and other parts they were supposed to replace, his response was "oh, I got it confused with another F450 we were working on". To add to the garbage, they didn't even complete all the work I had requested. Turns out the dealership didn't know how to rotate tires on a dually truck. I received their survey and made sure they understood I was thoroughly upset and wanted a call back from the service manager. Never got any calls from anyone from service or any of the other management. On a side note, I just leased a CMax from another dealership that's further away from me. Not sure if I got the best deal in town but I was treated great. They will be getting my service work from now on. I will *never* deal with these people. read more
