Ordered chicken stripe and fries. I was told 45 minutes and not told to pay while on the phone which was typical. I was told 45 minute wait. I get there the line is out the door to order and pay 1 register open. No answer when I call 5 times, 6th time put on hold. Finally spoke to a manager, he said that I had to wait in a line that was about 30 minutes long. I said I was leaving nor waiting to pay 30 dollars for cold food. It made the pizza better. They have a good sized menu. They have something for everyone. My family did have an issue. We were waiting in front of the register and our number never got called. This place was walking distance from my hotel and came here twice in one day for some slices. Probably could have bought a whole pie but in the earlier visit, I didn't know that I would want more. I had pepperoni slices and they were a good size and had the right amount of cheese to sauce ratio which I loved. Service is quick. They also have an ice cream counter here where you can get scoops, sundaes, or a few other ice cream treats. Our family turned to North End Pizza in the event of Mellow Mushroom being packed to the brim with a 45 minute wait. We had kids with us, so that just wasn't feasible. However, this pizzeria off Atlantic Avenue really hit the spot!! You seat yourself, go up to the counter and order by the slice, a whole pizza, or another entree. And it wasn't nearly as chaotic as the Mushroom across the street. My kind of place!! The inside of the restaurant was pretty retro style. It was nostalgic for me. They also has a bar to order ice cream and smoothies from!! There wasn't much interaction with staff as you just order from the counter but what did occur was courteous and friendly. For my meal, I got two slices of cheese pizza (huge!!) and a cheesy bread. My boyfriend got the philly cheesesteak stromboli. When we asked for ranch, they gave us a ton, which made me very happy. Everything was delicious. The nice crispy crust was delightful with melty cheese and just the right amount of sauce. The Stromboli was packed with yummy ingredients - meat, cheese, peppers, and onions. On top of that, the price was great compared to our other option. Sold by the slice and pie. We were staying at the Sheraton and needed a couple slices for a dinner snack ;) The other pizza shops were only selling by the pie so we ended up in North End. The turn around in pizza is high meaning pizzas were made fresh. The shop was bustling with customers as they were packed with kids, families, and friends enjoying a Friday night. We ended up visiting a couple time in the two days during our staycation. The cheese slice is ok. This shop is more about volume than a quality pizza. If your not picky, and just need a quick slice this is the place. Toppings are extra and can be ordered at the counter. It is very doughy, and I'd recommend a hot slice so the cheese melts a bit more for the pull. Great for takeaway and easy on the pockets. :) read more

This pizza shop was hopping when we went. It was during tourist season and it's really close to the boardwalk. We had a long wait because the line was massive, but not anything completely intolerable. My husband and I literally just wanted a 'snack', so we ordered one slice of pepperoni pizza and split it. The slices are huge and one slice is more like 2 slices. When it came out, it was piping hot and super greasy. Service at the restaurant was great at the counter, as we were just getting it to go. The crust tasted like cardboard (like something you'd get with a frozen pizza), the sauce was underwhelming. It was super cheesy, so that's a plus. Just wasn't my cup of tea. Good place for pizza and gyros! We tried their chicken garden fresh pizza and the chicken gyros and lamb gyros! The online ordering was hassle free and when I went to pick up the food, it was ready. I am writing this review about the subs and only the subs. I read a number of reviews and most of them seemed positive. However, the composite rating on Yelp was only 3.5 starts. We generally try to go to eateries that have a 4 or better rating whenever possible. So here was our dilemma. My family of four were on the beach and I wanted to pick up some lunch and let them stay on the beach. I tried to walk to a sushi restaurant because it was only a 4 minute walk and they weren't picking up the phone. When I got there, their sign said that they opened at 3 (coronavirus related). So then I searched for a sandwich shop and found one with a 4.5 rating and decided to walk to that one. When I got there, their sign said 'delivery only' (again, coronavirus related). So I ended up at North End Pizza, which was right across the street from our hotel. The reviews were mixed, so I didn't have high expectations. I walked in, ordered, about about 6-7 minutes later, by two subs (Italian & turkey) and fries were ready. I walked back to the beach and my family partook in lunch. Now if you know me, one thing that makes a sandwich great is the bread, and subs used a fresh baked hard crusted torpedo roll. It was a full foot long with fresh meats and toppings, but the bread took it to another level! Perhaps my low expectations skews my review, but I'd happily go back to try another sandwich at North End Pizza. On a side note, they have pizza, wings, ice cream (a separate counter), and just about anything else. Maybe we should have given them a try earlier? read more

I will keep this short. I have had several pizza's over the years at this location. Too greasy making it soggy. The only reason I keep ending up here is my nephew picks this place. It seems busy. Is it the location? Is that why it is busy? Because to me it is not great. Several times we have cleaned our own table. Not a problem but it does not seem to be the cleanest place either. Service is ok. Basically this location is underwhelming and I will leave it at that. The pizza is probably 3 or 4 stars. The one star review is the failure to observe their own Covid 19 rules. No mask, no service says their own sign. And yet there are unmasked customers jammed in a line waiting to order or pickup their food. Meanwhile, staff is either not wearing masks at all or don't know how to wear them probably. I love NY style pizza. This place is set up for dine in and social distancing. Super friendly and the food was delicious! Came out fresh and the owner even complemented us a pizza because there was a mistake made. The cheesy bread is to die for!!! I just can't explain how good it was. Then to too all off we ordered ice cream in the little ice cream shop in the same restaurant. The ice cream was also so delicious. Incredible slices of cheese pizza, with a true "cheese-pull." They offer toppings for sliced pie, but they add the toppings to already baked cheese pizza and then warm it up. That's a no-no for me, so I opted for just classic cheese slices. This was a one block walk from the beach, so it was easy to get out of the ocean and towel dry and get served and be back on the scene in minutes. Later in the evening, I brought the wife and kids to get hand dipped Hershey's ice cream, which was good portions and great flavors. Firstly, I really liked my chicken parm sandwich! I'll give them credit there. My husband was really happy with his cheese pizza and Italian sub. But from the second we walked in we were disappointed. It smelled bad. I couldn't quite tell what it smelled like but my husband said B.O. Nothing really felt, looked, or smelled clean. The fountain drinks were not good; not necessarily flat but not good. They also had black flakes in every pour we did. As for service, there's not really anything to compliment or complain about because there wasn't really any. Editing this because I forgot to mention the pricing.. it was like cheap food for expensive prices. Two slices of pizza (cheese $4 and meat $6) and two sandwiches with two drinks was a little under $50. You are not getting $50 quality food there.
