REVIEW FOR 2701 ATLANTIC AVENUE LOCATION: A very good experience at the 2701 Atlantic Avenue location. From what I've seen, it looks like that location has closed since my last visit or is under construction. For a beach town pizza parlor, this is one of the best I've experienced. The customer service was good. The slices are huge. I appreciate the dough quality and texture for such a large pizza. They knew I had kids with me, so they were able to accommodate by cutting some slices in half to be more manageable with kid hands. The pizza is delicious. So are the wings. Also, only bottled drinks are offered here. I recommend ordering in advance as I was informed by the cashier that there are days when large orders are common. There is plenty outdoor seating albeit picnic table-style. I'll definitely return. read more

Massive slices of pizza right on the beach! We brought friends here for their first time and they loved it. Truly an incredible and fun experience being right on the water. They have great outdoor seating and serve you super fast. Benny's has many locations and they're all consistently good (I've been to 5 locations) if you're in the area, make it a point to come here especially when the weather is nice! Whole pie is $38 which is great considering it can feed 4-8 people easily. read more

During my work trip in VA, I was told by a local who's originally from NYC that the closest I would get to a NY slice would be Benny's and another locally owned pizza shop. Since Benny's was closer, I decided to give them a try. What the kind lady failed to mention to me was that this pizza would be ENORMOUS! Imagine my face when I walked into Benny's, and they handed me a 28-inch pie! WOW!!! There was no way this pizza would fit in the backseat of my SUV, I had to take a few moments to clear out my trunk. It was that huge! I finally made it back to my hotel where my family and I literally marveled over how huge this pie was (did I mention I am a pizza fanatic!?) We finally couldn't take it anymore, and we dived in. The pepperoni slice wasn't bad at all. It was cooked perfectly with a generous amount of cheese and toppings. I couldn't make it through one slice, although I certainly did try, lol. Would I purchase a whole pie again? Probably not. One slice is definitely more than enough to fill you up. However, if you're vacationing on the boardwalk and looking for a massive and filling slice, definitely check them out. Benny's is located on the VA beach boardwalk. We had the pizza delivered to the hotel room. At first I thought the price was a bit exorbitant until I got the pizza (see the pics). Even the delivery guy said he had to put the pizza in his trunk as it did not fit in the seats of his convertible. Although I've never had a NY pie, I have to imagine that this is it. Folded yumminess. One pie could easily feed 4-8 people (slices are HUGE). Considering my husband I can make 3-4 meals off this one pie, the price is a bargain! Highly recommend read more

I was craving a slice of pizza after seeing the pictures from online reviews, so I made the walk to Benny's On The Ocean. There was a line that spilled over to the outside seating area, but it looked like it was worth the wait. The line moved and after 25 minutes in line, the staff told us they were not taking any more orders for another 45 minutes. That's not great, so I lost 25 minutes and walked out without trying anything. Disappointed. read more

Just a small hole in the wall pizza joint. There isn't much indoor seating but covered patio with picnic tables outside. The workers were welcoming and helpful. The single slices are premade with cheese, you order toppings and they warm it up, takes about 10mts. I ordered pepperoni mushrooms and they put some kind of sprinkled topping on it and I didn't like that at all, spicy to me. I would def try it again. The price was decent for the size. read more

We came after we saw a kid holding a gigantic box of pizza which we've now learned this place does a 28" pizza. They also sell slices which were the size of a human head and limited to cheese, pepperoni, mushroom, and sausage (which ranges from $6-7). You can add banana, cherry peppers, jalapeños for a dollar more! Their pizza is thin crust which I freaking love. It was a solid slice and honestly fantastic for a late night snack or lunch. Huge slices, super crispy crust but still soft and doughy and flavorful. We ended up going twice on our 3 day stay in VA beach. The first time the service was great, he explained everything and how to order and the sizes, the ambience was great. There was someone else who worked at another location and visited while we were there - very loud and obnoxious, seemed very bossy/gossipy. The second time we went, the same obnoxious guy was working there. He had a very odd podcast blaring over the speakers and wasn't very friendly. We ended up sitting outside to eat our meal. Absolutely delicious! Quick and easy spot for any meal, pizzas are sold by the slice to order or by the whole pie, which is 28" or 8 slices total. You really can't beat the prices either 6-7 for a huge "Virginia Slice" of pizza. Great experience all around, store was clean, great music playing, staff was incredibly kind, patient and helpful. We walked by this place a few times on the way to our hotel and when we saw people coming out with giant pizza boxes, we were intrigued. So one night we got one of the giant pizzas for our family. They were very nice and let us put different toppings on each quarter. I was sad they were out of mushrooms, but I guess we'll have to come back next time we're in VB. We sat at the picnic tables outside, and even in December it was pleasant. We ate our fill and had leftovers for breakfast the next morning. Honestly if you've tried any of the Benny's restaurants then you know what you're getting when you walk in Benny's by the ocean is definitely no different which is why I was thrilled to go and have pizza there the other day. You walk in you order by the slice or you can order a whole ginormous pie which trust me when I say this might be difficult to fit in your car I've actually measured and I would have a hard time fitting it in my Camry. I do love the fact that Benny's by the ocean not only offers me one amazing view but there is a beautiful outdoor seating area and it's right next door to a bar area that has things like cornhole if I want to go and play and stick around a little bit longer as always Benny's offers delicious piping hot slices of pizza a small variety of flavors but because they have a small variety it's always absolutely delicious and perfectly fresh which is one of the things that I love the most about them that and they are affordable on your wallet. It's not often that you can go out to a restaurant and manage to feel full on less than $10 Benny's you can definitely do that one slice of their Pizza takes up two paper plates so you definitely are getting bang for your buck as always I highly suggest them to anybody who's looking for hot fresh pizza they've got a great crust they've got a great sauce and everything else is good too definitely stop in and try their flavors of the month there's always something new and exciting. read more
