Pizza was delicious! However, I'm very disappointed and turned off by the fact that the staff decided to tip themselves $4 for a large pizza to go. Mind you all they did was prep, bake, and box the pizza. I walked to the establishment to pick it up. I was staying at the hotel directly across the street from them with my family for the weekend and we decided to order a pizza to go. The total on the receipt that was emailed to me was $25.36 and later cleared on my bank for $29.36. When I called to ask about the charge, I was told only the general manager can help me with my concern and he would call me in 1-2 days..... 5 days later still no phone call. We went on Saturday July 3rd around 9 pm. Was seated right away. Waited 20 minutes and asked hostess if we could get waited on. She said she would tell our server. She went up and said something to a couple people and they went back to talking. Waited another 10 minutes and still no server. We got up and left. Another table came in and sat right next to us and got waited on right away. In the meantime there was a group of employees standing upfront just talking. The place was not busy. I do not recommend this place unless you have at least an hour and half to wait for your pizza. Walked in and ordered at 4:30. Waiter came out at 5:30 and said it would be 10 more minutes, they had gotten a church order. Service was ok. The Food was greasy and extremely cheesy. The menu that said chicken had two very tiny pieces of chicken and a mountain of cheese on the topping. I was very disappointed by that as i wanted to eat chicken haha. Waitress had a long melted cheese from my food on her fingers while handing us our pizza. I would say beurk but i was on vacation. She was nice though. As well- You get folks and knives only if you asked. For that i concluded/assumed that may be they are cheap considering the two pieces of chicken that i had in my pizza and ok i might say " let's save the planet for the plastic folks and eat with our fingers Grossomodo, we felt bad after eating the pizza. The staff was very nice and they are the ones who earned the three stars. They were too busy and overwhelmed with too many customers and carryout orders. On this night, the quoted wait time for a table was 45 minutes. While waiting for the first five minutes, I noticed enough seats opened at the bar, so we sat and ordered from there. Ok so I'm not sure if my family and I visited this establishment on like a bad day, but the service was terrible. Our waiter took forever to come check on us leaving my mother with an empty cup for about 20-ish minutes. He also messed up my mom's order and didn't even write down our orders as we were telling him. The vibe of the restaurant was ok. Also during our visit at Doughboy's, we witnessed MANY people leave either after ordering or before even being seated because the staff weren't there to seat them for an extended amount of time. read more

Terrible service!! Waited almost 25 min and talked to the hostess twice about getting us started with drinks or anything...nothing! Seemed like a great spot to eat outside due to the weather and having dogs. Better service and personable servers could really help this place. Dough Boy's is soooo Good!! Our waiter was Captain and he was great and told us what to try!! We both got a salad and it was delicious and we got the cheesy flatbread as well. We really enjoyed the whole experience. We drove and had to pay for parking, I think it was $5. I like the hippy beach vibe that Doughboy's is known for. If you're looking for a quick lunch or even dinner, you should try Doughboy's!! If you check in on yelp and it's your first visit - they offer a 25% coupon at this location. Wings were great! Pizza was okay, although I feel like I should have just ordered extra cheese on the pizza because I felt like there wasn't enough cheese. Two of my friends ordered mixed drinks, a tequila sunrise and a drink that was called "a trip to the beach " , I think. Anyhow both my friends complained the drink was just sugar and a splash of liquor ‍. Anyhow they decided that they were definitely not wasting more of their money on cocktails that tasted like blue kool-aid lol. The service was good. You can never go wrong with pizza so I decided to try out Dough Boys. They have a new item their promoting called "The Wave" which consist of half pizza, half calzone. The dish is constructed to look like a wave crashing down on to the shoreline, which I thought was brilliant, considering the location. Despite it being the off season for tourist, this place is definitely a place you want to visit even if you're a local. The facility is well kept, inviting and the staff are super friendly. Thanks to Ashley and Todd! So I ordered The Wave and paired it with a Whiskey Sour. I was blown away by the size of the dish, I just knew I wouldn't finish it all. Both the pizza and calzone tasted fantastic and my drink was perfectly balanced with the ratios. It's going to be hard to stray away from this during my next visit. Their signs says "voted best pizza". Maybe to some, but not to me..... We chose this place because it's right next to our condo and my husband was sick so I could easily walk to pick up dinner. I got back to my room and realized they made the wrong pizza. I had ordered a chicken cordon blue pizza and received a chicken bacon ranch pizza. I ordered 2 sides of ranch (and paid for them) for my kids and didn't receive it. The chicken bacon ranch pizza was not terrible, just not want I wanted. The bacon was real bacon fried and crumbled. There was also a great amount of cheese on it which I enjoyed. The garlic bread was disappointing. It's really just a pizza with no sauce and very little cheese or herbs. The DB wave is simply pizza folded over on top of each other. The pizza portion was better then the wave portion. All in all, it's convenient but I'd try somewhere else before going here again. ************ Update: In response to owners comment, I am adding an update. I ordered directly from the company website. I love going dough boys when I am in town. The food is great the drinks are yummy and the atmosphere is laid backed. Today I went to the 33rd Street location and Captain Charlie was there helping out as a server. He is just such an amazing person! In town on a business trip and wanted something easy but didn't want just plain old pizza we could get at home. Decided to try the "wave" style pizza from dough boys and it did not disappoint. Ordered ahead for pickup, food was ready fast & served hot! Pizza was good, came with red pepper flakes and parm which was a nice touch for to go food. Sauce was light & sweet, REALLY good in my opinion. The consistency of the crust on this pizza is also fantastic. Wait does seem a bit long, came late at night but the service is friendly and the food is good. As soon as we came in, we were to to pay for our food first and then grab a seat. I checked in Yelp after I had paid and noticed a 25% off, but I already paid. I didn't mention it because I didn't mind, but if your looking for a deal... check in first. I come here just about every year but due to the pandemic missed out the last two years but I'm glad this place is still delicious and friendly. Definitely a staple in my VA beach trip. I got a basic pepperoni pizza for my kids which i ate half of and my wife and I shared a cheesesteak. Sooo good. I also treated myself to a whisky crush which was pretty strong and just as delicious. read more

First off, I am only giving this one star because the food was good. The experience on the other hand was atrocious. My family and I love coming down to the beach in the summer and have been coming to doughboys for a while now, so this is why it's a disappointment that we will probably not be returning. We came to the establishment around a weeks ago. Our server, she had dark hair, I think her name was Eliza, was very rude and didn't seem like she even wanted to be there. I thought maybe she was just having a bad day, because I can understand that, but it gets worse. Our pizza was taking a very long time (probably over 10 minutes). We asked what the issue was and she said the kitchen accidentally forgot a topping so they are remaking it. As she's walking away I overhear her telling another girl that she, "fucking forgot to put her stupid tables food in". We finally got our food much later, but we barely ate it because we just wanted our checks and to leave. As we are paying the bill and getting up to leave we overhear her AGAIN say to someone else, "these people aren't gonna tip me anything, they fucking suck dude." I was appalled and outraged. We will NOT be coming back here again if these are the kind of people you are hiring. Maybe you should have a better hiring system or something because this was ridiculous. My family and I were on vacation and we decided to stop by for pizza. When we arrived we were seated immediately, the atmosphere was great, however it took some time (15 mins) to be waited on luckily we had Jonathan. Right before he came over to us, my family was upset and about to leave. My mom went over to the hostess to ask her if we had someone coming over, since she told the table behind us who were seated after us that somebody would be with them soon, but said nothing to us. The guys who's section it was came over to us after Johnathon, my mom told him we are fine Johnathon is taking care of us, but thanks. We heard Johnathan ask if anyone had been over to our table yet, guess he saw us turned around and staring trying to get somebody to notice us. He apologize to us over and over and told us don't worry I'll get your food out as soon as possible. He was so kind and took such good care of us! The food came out so fast, and the pizza was absolutely amazing (just what we were craving.) We went in this past weekend on Labor Day with my girl and was pleasantly surprised. I was greeted at the door by their very friendly hostess and seated in a booth by the window so we people watch (a guilty pleasure of ours). Lauren was our server (who was amazing!!!) We ordered crushes; she got the freshly squeezed margarita crush and I their cherry lime crush which were honestly some of the best drinks we tasted. Upon return we ordered their spinach artichoke dip with fresh pita points and their 12" hula seared garlic pizza. Our appetizer came out lightning quick and was fabulous. The pita points felt like they were freshly done not premade (i.e. hard, tough, and over done like other joints). We cleaned the bowl in no time and we anxiously awaiting our pizza. No long after inhaling our dip, the pizza arrived and the aroma alone was enticing. The smell of chicken, garlic, and pineapple reached our nostrils and caused our mouths to instantly water. I brought my family here today to enjoy a nice brunch. We got pizza, wings, and a burger.. it was absolutely wonderful. What I was more impressed with was our server Cheyenne, she has amazing customer service. My mother who I know is a slight bit needy asked her for a lot of things and Cheyenne was doing everything to fulfill her needs!!! Refills without asking, food brought out within less than 10 minutes, condiments and etc.. she constantly checked on us with a smile every time and my daughter was in love with her hair. great food great employees!! My family and I came to the 33rd location to eat dinner on Friday night. The host, I think his name was Dakota was extremely helpful and nice and sat us right away. The atmosphere was pleasant and good for a family setting. Now, our server Carson was amazing! She was extremely friendly, funny, and just a flat out sweetheart to us. She was so on top of everything, our drinks were never empty. We asked her a bunch of questions and she knew every answer immediately! The owner George has 2 times complained to yelp and had my review taken off because I put 2 of his stores in 1 review. now I will focus on 3224 Atlantic ave location. My review 2013 stated I ordered a Greek pizza that was nasty and soggy. I asked to try this location again and My wife and I went there again June 2014, tried this location again, still the same nasty gross pizza I have ever had. the fact is the pizza got worse at this location and found myself hugging the toliet. I used to have a rule that I do not order pizza out of the state of New York. Ive lived in Florida and Pennsylvania and after trying countless places there I said only NY. I broke that rule today and I couldn't be happier. The sauce was amazing, the crust was perfect, the cheese was even awesome. Food took 40 mins to come out and we ordered for the table their Nachos with chicken & 8 wings. The nachos had no chicken, chips were burnt, and they were so bad to the point the server took them off our tab. The wings were microwaved & nasty. Our server never checked on us, we actually had to go find her twice just to get us our checks! No water/drink refills for the hour we had to sit there and suffer. Probably the worst service and food I've ever had in a restaurant .... I'd never recommend this location. we've had better service at the strawbridge location!

I recently left the restaurant not knowing my wallet had dropped out of my back pocket while I dined. Upon my departure, the staff found it, safeguarded it, and had it waiting for me at the hostess' counter. The amazing thing about this was that ALL of my wallet contents were still within! Simply amazing! In summary, my experience with this particular Chicho's has revalidated my faith in society! Thank God we have honest people dedicating their lives serving our great city! These Chicho's employees bring great credit to the franchise, and their owners deserve credit for having hired honest staff.

The wait staff were ok, only problem is only one of them spoke English, but he was nice and helpful. Overall, ok... Peppers are nice with a bit of crunch and the steak is tender. Buffalo Wings are just hot enough for me and have a nice lil vinegar tang you get about 8 wings so standard-ish. Definetly an 8/10 and would come again. Splurge the extra for extra meat if you are super hungry for your steak.

We got garlic herb sauce, chicken, pepperoni, extra cheese, black olives, and beef. Maybe you'll get better reviews if you put it on your menu. Call it the reaper.
